Vaiana

This is your perfect, tropical, creamy, happy summer vacation in a bottle. Came across it in Milan Exsense Expo, this alluring and happy scent was haunting me for days. Cannot wait to wear it once summer comes as I cannot imagine wearing it in any other season. A bit similar in nature to Sun Goddess by Musicology but Vaiana is more creamy and warm and Sun Goddess is more cooler, wetter and fresher. I predict this will be a hit.

I was hesitating between Vaiana and Soleil Blanc. In the end of the day I chose Vaiana becouse it has bigger sillage and doubled longevity. The price is almost the same. Vaiana a bit fresher and fruity but Soleil Blanc has a special saltyness what I like in it. Maybe if I will have lots of money I will buy both but my first choice is Vaiana.

From the first sniff I knew I will own a full bottle. However, after I bought it, something wasn’t right. I think I didn’t like it as much as the first time, I had to triple check if it was the one I sampled. It’s lovely and I don’t dislike it, but I suddenly wasn’t getting those fruity notes I fell in love with. It is creamy and easy to wear, but I think it’s the jasmine note that really bothers me. After letting it sit for the entire year in my closet, I started finding my way to lighter and creamier fragrances, and I wanted to give it another shot. I tried layering it with another subtle woody/musky fragrance and I think it added a touch of something I needed to it, because I find it absolutely beautiful now. I own 5 or 6 fragrances from this house that I absolutely love and I knew it would be a matter of time to find a way back to this one, and I finally did. It suddenly smells so elegant and classy to my nose. I actually think it’s much much better for cooler weather and I must say, today is the first time that I thought to myself - can’t wait to wear it!!

To my nose it’s a beautiful bright and creamy neroli blend, something between Guerlain Bergamotte Fantastico + Rosendo Mateu 6. The profile is of Guess Seductive and Aristrocrazy Intuitive, with added solar notes, both are at a price worth spending, while here - I’m not so sure. Safe blind buy. Office friendly. Overall a very smooth citrusy white floral.

Creamy white floral with tropical fruits and neroli. Very solar. Like sunscreen. Its not my type of tropical fruity floral to much solar notes that give this perfume a screechy edge in the dry down. It's nice enough but there are better of this type on the market.
