Glorious Escape Eau de Parfum

just smelled this on paper—instantly reminded me of the celine DNA. it’s essentially a cold, smoky, woody iris opening, but the drydown, at least on paper, was a bit unfamiliar to my nose—maybe a bit musky and fruity. i did like the smokiness in the opening more than the powderiness and the mass-appealing designer quality of the drydown. i must say, it’s more complex and mysterious in the opening, whereas the drydown is just a decent masculine-leaning iris scent. i do get the comparisons with dhp and dhi, i concur, but this is obviously cheaper smelling and more mass. in my opinion, it’s closer to those in the drydown, because the opening is a lot colder than the DH line.

I like this scent a lot, for me it almost smells exactly like Tonka and Myrrh from Jo Malone, only it doesn't last that long, and i seem to find it a little more powdery which I love and it's half the price. I've gotten a lot of compliments while wearing it, it's a really sensual and warm smell, but I recommend you test it first.The opening scent smells like a wooden drawer filled with freshly sharpened colored pencils, then it turns into a sweeter warmer scent when the tonka hits, finally it settles into a soft powdery, sweet embrace.

This perfume’s base notes are more forward the whole time than top and middle notes. It’s general smell is woody, a sweet wood, vetiver, cedar, patchouli. It smells a bit powdery too. This scent reminds me of the way Massimo Dutti store always smells!
