Rainy Days

This is everything I ever wanted from any fragrance with the word "rain" in the name. 😉 It's mossy, woody, green, slightly floral, with just a smidge of a fruity sweetness. Notes listed on Fragrantica are not all the notes, the packaging also mentions: dewy pear, pink pepper, cedarwood. It doesn't smell exactly like patrichor but it smells the way summer rain feels on your skin. You get wet green plants, trees, some flowers, but also wet skin and hair. You just want go full on Drew Barrymore mode and scream: "Go out into the rain, do not miss the opportunity!" 😁 And it's totally unisex. Edit: I compared it to Replica When The Rain Stops and in this fragrance I mostly smell moss, patchouli and something soapy, I didn't like it that much. Massimo Dutti fragrance is much more aromatic, woody, without anything "dirty".

I tend to have reserved opinion about perfumes from fashion houses, for example Zara. I agree that some of their perfumes are genuinely good in terms of smell and performance, but most of the time, they lack originality, or they are simply "too safe". I ran into this bottle when I was doing shopping for clothes in a Massimo Dutti shop, and I was first attracted to its name "Rainy Days". I immediately imagined something fresh, clean and airy. something that can bring me closer to nature instead of city life. I tried it and decided to take one bottle just after smelling the opening. There is a forest not far away from my house, and I enjoy wandering there. I do find some resemblance to the smell I get in the forest after rain. Green, earthy and woody. Upon spraying it, I am greeted by sweet juicy pear and sweet floral note. Interestingly, pear is not listed in the pyramid, but I just cannot miss it. The combination of pear and lily, fruity and floral sweetness, is really clean and fresh to me. The opening is nothing complicated but very pleasant and intriguing. As it develops, green notes come into play. It smells like sap from leaves and stems, also resembles freshly cut grass. Clean, fresh and obviously moist. There is also subtle earthy smell. This is the moment when it reminds me of the fresh air in the forest after rain. The rain has stopped, yet the air is still damp; all the plants around you are glittering with droplets on their leaves; the temperature drops. You enjoy every moment of tranquility that nature brings. However, on paper it gets sweeter and more powdery to my nose, which I find more feminine than unisex. Luckily, my skin tunes down the powdery note, and it remains fresh and airy. The drydown is gentle and soothing, with a balanced mixture of sweet, woody and earthy notes. It becomes more a skin scent at the end of the day.

This smells like a photorealistic dreary, gray rainy day in the city. I get a hint of petrichor and moss. No overt citrus or floral notes. I feel like you can actually wear this indoors on a rainy day. I haven't had a chance to test it out on my skin so I might update my review later on. not the fresh type of rain, thou it smells as if you are walking through a park after it had rained for a while and the sun hasn't gone up yet, ı have no idea how MM When the Rain stops smells like but if it really lives out the name, it must be like this one, 7.5/10 a bit too earth for some ı guess, wouldn't wear during summer and extreme heat

fresh and pleasant but my favorites of the brand are not on the website sadly my favorites are verdant fig ( a pretty straight forward green fig) and synny ylang ( bright sweet floral with jasmine ylang-ylang and a bit of vanilla)
