Sandy Papyrus Eau de Parfum

I have to admit I don't get half of the notes listed here. It truly has that citric start (with the strong citron and some grapefruit), that doesn't smell like the typical bergamote or mandarine almost all people are used to. The cardamom is, undoubtedly, the protagonist here, softenned quite a bit by the jasmine listed. The green apple accord is weird tho; if no one tells me it has apple on it, I wouldn't have noticed it. It has a somewhat fresh fruity note, but you have to look for it tho, it's not very prominent and almost imperceptible. I don't really know if the base notes declared on Fragantica are totally accurate, as I get more of a clean vibe, than the woody-animalic combo listed above. Also, I don't consider this one to be unisex, even if listed as so (in Massimo Dutti stores, they usually have it in the men's section). I totally think this is a subjective topic, but, to me, it wouldn't click to smell this on a woman. So, would I recommend? Definitely not as a blind buy, nor after 10 minutes testing. It is a pretty weird fragance. All the notes are super softenned, to the point it doesn't smell like anything in particular, but as a soft and clean mix of the notes listed above. The thing I LOVE about this perfume is that it's not the typical intrusive nor ''heavy'' manly fragance, but you still smells ''manly''. It's hard to explain, but, if the 99% of designers and niche man oriented fragances smell like ''I'm a man, and I am here you like it or not'', this goes more to a subtle ''I am a man, I'm succesful, but I really don't have the urge to announce it''. Another thing that's worth mention, is that it has that misterious and sensual ''oriental'' vibe, but into a more western or european located basis. It doesn't really smell oriental in any moment. It's a soft, semi-formal and masculine (but not oppresive) scent, that I would associate with a young scholar or literate about scholarly topics man. I would wear it in an every day context, for office, evening and afternoon dates,... but maybe not in formal enviroments (I don't feel the sensual tone in fragances appropiate for these kind of contexts). I really love it, but I miss some kind of impact from it (It would be PERFECT if the green apple was a little bit stronger, achieving some protagonism), specially for late or winter nights.
