Shadow Teal

Shadow Teal to me feels like walking into a church or more like - you will smell like a walking cathedral wearing this. It makes me think of an altar with lit candles on it but in the best possible way. I think it has the perfect amount of vanilla and tonka to balance out the smoky incense (which is very loud in the first hour or so) and then they slowly step forward in the dry-down as the incense takes a backseat (but it still remains present). I feel it’s kind of similar to Rifaaquat from Paris Corner or The Pearl from Al Ambra - if you know them but more rounded and sophisticated, mystical even - still, I wouldn’t blind buy it. A surprisingly wearable “chapel in a bottle” that makes me genuinely happy with the purchase.

Shadow Teal starts strong with smoke, really heavy wood smoke. After few hours it smells amazing! Hello Amber! not too sweet vanilla and caramel sugar(?). It has a powdery, smoky, resinous profile. For sure a great unisex winter perfume. I am not familiar of Massimo Dutti perfumes, but this is for those kind of people who love Jazz Club, by the Fireplace or Jo Malones Myrrh and Tonka:)

This is a subtle and quiet perfume. I would suggest FW Incense Alchemy for a stronger incense/vanilla combo (Encens Suave clone). In general i find that Massimo Dutti price tags are a joke. Zara quality for double the price

Another Inditex Group Babycat/Vanagloria dupe, which feels more accurate than Zara’s version (Tonka Temptation). That’s about it. Decent value for money, a lot better quality than the arabic made dupes for sure.
