Souffle Marais Eau de Parfum

When i tried it at the store it immediately reminded me of my beloved La Mia Perla which got discontinued Its not the same LMP is still much more sophisticated and complex but nevertheless they both share this musky cozy cashmere quality Souffle Marais as an elegant fragrance fits very well for office But beware I suspect some of the ingredients may be highly comedogenic as my bf tends to sneeze a lot when i wear it and so did a lady in a queue behind me at a store saying theres sth in the air that causes her to sneeze so much (judging by her basket she was not a health conscious type anyway so i don’t feel bad xd she did it to herself with her consumerism decisions)

This absolutely always gets me compliments! It could easily sway into powdery “old money” territory but the orris and magnolia save it and it’s completely and utterly delectable. Iris is definitely there but very tastefully done. I love Prada Iris but this is very different- slightly more floral pencil shavings than Pradas powder bomb. I would bite into this scent if I could like a warm almond croissant on a spring morning wearing silk. It’s divine. Becomes a skin scent after a an hour or so but lasts forever on clothes.

80% similar to Iris Dragee IMO (I compare them on each of my wrists) It's weird since notes pyramid is really different in these two. Iris is more zingy and sour while Souffle is more creamy and subtle.

Classy, soft, feminine fragrance which sits quite close to the skin. I expected more.

Safe to put my original comment from the original bottle's page here: Souffle Marais is not an "iris" perfume but more of a bitter-almond-opening-white-musk first then a violet concoction based on sandalwood (more Australian, dry and non-lactonic variety and vetiver.) This is based on the theme I know mainly from Emporio Armani - Lei/She though much more vanillic and smooth and no piercing notes there. Also significant in the masculine woody version Emporio Armani Lui/He. I can tell from recent experience, Lancome Iris Dragees is in the same vein as this one, maybe the closest. Prada - Candy, Guerlain - L'Instant Magic, Victoria's Secret - Dream Angels etc. all based on the same musk-violet-vanilla theme with nuances differing on almond, fruits, citruses, iris, benzoin etc. I think it has great value for price, longevity was easily 5+ hours in one day of testing (on skin) and on paper it stayed 24+ hours which is not unusual provided that violet ingredients (a group of compounds called "ionones" in perfumery) are quite substantive and in combination with sandalwood molecules (also by structure heavy molecules that are persistent). All on a layer of Iso E Super and powdery musks similar to Bvlgari Pour Homme, Kenzo - Power (men), JHAG - Not A Perfume/Superdose etc. Really nothing bad to say about Souffle Marais, on the contrary a lot to praise, if you are into powdery violet with a silky sandalwood base without being too iris-powdery or sweet that feels like a warm blanket, one to check for sure. Only downside, hard to come by since not every Massimo Dutti store has it and their online shopping is also mediocre. I had to get a bottle while I can, and even though it is registered as feminine, I think a guy can easily pull this off as well - like I will do soon, maybe layered with some citrus cologne or a dry smoky wood/incense bomb.

This perfume to me is a summer day in Europe. Specifically, it’s morning and you’ve stepped outside for a walk through the city, and the sweet crisp breeze hits you with a mix of the honeysuckle & orange trees. You feel invigorated and happy.
