Vibrant Violet

This perfume is very feminine and powdery, I fell in love with it when I smelled it at the store and I couldn’t find information online to know if it is a dupe of another perfume, or inspired by another perfume, or if it is truly an original idea by Massimo Dutti. To my nose, jasmine and citrus are the first notes, then starts the black currant and violet. For the longest part I feel the three middle notes, the flowers, and all three are noticeable (powdery violet, stronger jasmine, and the orange blossom that reminds me to my favorite Elie Saab perfumes). Fragrantica calls it “Floral Fruity” but to my nose is really Floral, quite balanced (with the black currant still noticeable and the wood base) but still clearly a floral. I love the violet note, and it combines with the base notes to give this perfume a rather powdery, cuddly and romantic vibe. I almost feel musk, even though it is not listed. Suitable for day (work-appropriate, not obnoxious) and for night (very feminine and romantic). I still need to let my bottle get a bit older to really judge the longevity. I think it will be a people pleaser, unless violets remind you to your grandma or something like that. I wished it came in smaller sizes since I rarely buy the full 100ml / 3.4flOz bottles.

A wonderful autumn floral. It opens up as a slightly citrusy white floral, very delicate and feminine. In the drydown you can notice the powdery violet mixed with black currant and sandalwood

This is very pretty but sweetness makes it feel not as sophisticated as other Massimo dutti fragrances I get the comparison to Sol de Janeiro Cheriosa 59 by the way in which this feels sugary Sdj 59 has vanilla in it so its very warm and great for winter season while this feels like it’s spring/autumn version

The drydown is quite similar to the golden bloom perfume , also from Massimo Dutti!
