White Tulip & Barley

Should be called Marigold and Barley as those are the main players here, tulip is more in a supporting role. The center stage takes the beautiful unique floral Marigold with herby and honey nuances. Some fresh elegance from the tulip, a little powderiness from the cyclamen and a musky base with wood and some beautiful cereal/grain notes. Reminds me of an oat body milk. Throughout the lifetime of the scent there is some light lingering citrusy freshness. It's so good it will work unisex, but I think this would work extra well on a woman. Really lovely scent, longevity average for a warm-weather scent, projection I imagine will actually be really good during the summer heat, otherwise it's still good! Good job Massimo Dutti! 9.1/10

Lovely perfume. A good dupe for Bal D’Afrique. The main difference is the dry down. Bal DAfrqiue has a more warm ambery smell. The massimo one is more musky with a slight fig smell. 3-4 hour longevity. More feminine as massimo has more of a floral airyness to it. Very elegant and everyday type of smell. Smell clean, lightly powdery, floral, creamy, slightly fruity (maybe this is the tulip). EDIT: something about this on wet skin or on hot days smells bad. Like a feminine product... This has left my collection and I will save up for the real Bal Afrique.

MR Morillas you rock! It is better than Bal d'Afrique! Amazing perfume,soft ,innocent,soothing and comfort not warm just a reminder that you have reached something you love to hug! Can't describe something so perfect! When you know ,you know! The music that could be it's description is by Billie Holiday Speak low bent remix. Magic and low but too high in taste!

A fresher Bal D'Afrique. A soft and fuzzy floral note evenly blended with watery notes, hay and a little wood. It smells fresh, warm and naturey at the same time, like you're out driving a convertible in the countryside on a sunny day. Smell: 9 out of 10 Strength: 7 out of 10 Unisex For reference, I'm female.

I just gotta say Alberto Morillas has made another perfectly balanced fragrance!! Love love love it... I went back and got it. This will be my new favourite parfum for a little while. The 2 “must haves” from this collection has to be the ‘White Tulip & Barley’ and the ‘Cotton & Green Sage’!!

this is sooo beautiful, i haven't worn anything else since i got it. it's more feminine but whatever. my only complaint is that it's too weak :(

This smells exactly like Bal d’Afrique with exactly the same performance. Save your money and buy this instead

Really nice scent ! It reminds me of some classic hand cream smell. Tulip smell is really muted down under those creamy notes. Sillage and longevity was decent Why nobody is talking about Massimo perfumes here on Fragrantica? They are really good and almost have niche quality to them Most of them are better then Zara ones (both companies are in the same group)

I love it on clothing...clean, (hand)creamy, soft, calm... On my skin, though, I either get compliments or people offering me a seat (the polite, you-smell-deodoranty-sweaty)...and those are the same people... one day they love it, the next, they don't, and the next they compliment it again...And they are not gaslighting me on purpose

Very good dupe of Bal dAfric, lasts for 6 hours at least. And in that time it does not change into something disgusting or unrecognisable. My favourite from this line and if they don't reformulate it am sure it will be favourite of many.

Very nice clean fragrance, smells soapy and sets into a powdery skin scent. Unfortunately it lasts for like a second on me 🥲 I get that it's cheap but I hoped it would perform a little bit better.

A very light, body lotion type of fragrance. I prefer Jo Malone's Poppy and Barley over this. This has not enough power. But it is on of the better ones at Massimo Dutti.

Not aromatic in the slightest to my nose- it's creamy, powdery and barely sweet, like oatmeal ever so slightly sweetened with fructose and milk. This isn't childlike- this is fully infantile, and I don't mean that in a negative way at all. Baby porridge and powder, a musky nursery scent which evokes feelings of warmth and safety. Unfortunately the creamy barley notes do make it slightly nauseating when overapplied or sprayed in warm weather.

Tried this out thinking it would be a dupe of Bal d’Afrique but left the store disappointed. For first 5 minutes, it reminds me of a slightly fresher version of BdA. Unfortunately on my skin it turns too sharp after that. BdA is soft, summery and creamy with a hint of sweetness. WT&B is sharper and has less depth to it compared to BdA. Performance is good, lasts 3-4 hours on me.

This perfume is very strong and long-lasting. The first sniff is full of alcohol. Then my nose was filled with a sweet musk scent that lasted for hours and hours. I couldn't tell the other notes because my olfactory cells were smothered by the musk scent. I thought it was due to my skin chemistry so I made one spray on a tissue paper and found the same effect. One day later I started to love the smell of the room where I put the tissue paper. The dry-down on tissue paper is soapy floral, nothing woody nor barley. I guess for people with sensitive noses, it could be a good room spray or fabric spray.

It's a good clean scent! I don' t know if it's a dupe, but it's clearly a good work. It lasts at least 4 hours, but for this price, is more than enough.

Send help..... I actually smell a white tulip, including its stems. Stems giving a wasabi-like nose burn. Will it get better or my nose is cursed?
