Peachy Bloom

This kicks off with a bracing, fresh, bitter, sour green vegetal stem like note that is gorgeous. Within seconds of spraying on the skin a small tendril of smoke intertwines with this green note and begins to usher in the peachier fruit accord along with a slight hint of vanilla that gives a chewier, peach fuzzier texture to the fragrance. The green, the fruit, vanilla and slight smokiness create their own accord and I have to say that it does indeed invoke feelings of "happiness." Not a childish simple happiness but a deep feeling of adult well-being happiness. In my package MATCA sent a sample of another fragrance (will review later) and what strikes me the most from this house so far is that although the 2 perfumes are completely different they both convey this relaxed yet sophisticated deliciousness, an artistry where your nose cannot stop sniffing out of curiosity - what notes will reveal themselves next? I am ordering the sample pack next because now I need to know what other gems MATCA has. Sillage and longevity is better than average and I have gotten nothing but positive feedback on this from family and colleagues. I love it. In full disclosure I won this bottle in a Fragrantica/MATCA giveaway. However I want to assure the reader here that if I did not like this fragrance as much as I am gushing over it now I would have just simply not reviewed. MATCA is a very promising romanian brand, I was delighted to try their sample box. Peachy Bloom stood out to me and shortly after I was gifted a 10 ml mini I adore. Full bottle will surely follow. But back to the fragrance. It starts with the most gorgeous green note I've ever smelled. It reminds me of the freshly cut stems of the pink peonys from my grandma's garden, without ever becoming scratchy or artificial. It soon develops into a very soft, beautifully balanced floral with no sweetness. The "peachy" part is not really present on my skin. It lasts all day long, but the sillage is moderate so you won't suffocate anyone with this. It is so difficult to create a floral scent which is not very generic and boring - MATCA absolutely nailed it here. Love it!

A spicy green opening of cut stems that fades quickly. Jammy floral heart of ylang-ylang and peach. Like realistic bruised petals on the floor of a flower shop (in a good way). The drydown is a sweet musk that never gets sugary or sticky. Its feminine without being girlish. I would wear this on a date or whenever I'm feeling a bit romantic, because you need to lean in a bit close to enjoy it ;)

Very pleased with this perfume, loving the peachy notes and the delicate scent that it embodies :)
