Parisian Musc

I actually really dislike Diptyque’s philosykos because to me, it’s wet lettuce in the fridge. Parisan Musc is that fragrance done RIGHT for me. It’s figgy, fresh, creamy and slightly sweet. I hate how summer fragrances never last so it’s nice to finally find something I know I’ll love in hot weather and won’t vanish on my skin in 2 seconds. I’ll be keeping a 6ml for the season indefinitely. Parisian Musc has a mild sunscreen note to it that I really like. There is a synthetic, sharp undercurrent to this green fig yogurt that removes that wet lettuce smell found in similar green figs. It does remind me of Paris, it’s elegant and sophisticated. A woman in lots of linen with open toed heels. Definitely one of the most wearable and flexible of MP, who can struggle with both categories. I love that this still has good longevity and decent projection unlike the other more simple / subdued scents like Bois or Neroli by MP. I don’t think this is as memorable as Encens or Falcon but it’s an absolute “wow you smell good” fetcher. I guess my only complaint is for the price as I know I’ll be able to find cheaper, creamy green figs in other brands. Will they be better? Probably not... but for £240, it’s not worth it to buy a big bottle, I will be committing to the 6ml though. However if I’m ever rich, I’m buying the big bottles. Lots of it for every summer!

Received a generous sample of this fragrance when I purchased a pricey orange blossom perfume from an online perfume retailer. These days, musk perfumes and musk notes are out of my wheelhouse but I applied this fragrance. And I really like it! Not sure what to say because I know very little about musk and musk-centric fragrances. I used to own, I used to love Musc Ravageur. Seems like centuries back-smile. But Musc Ravageur and Maurice Roucel are in a league of their own. And frankly, I grew weary of the fragrance when everyone was wearing it. So, Parisian Musc is a nice fragrance! I definitely detect something aldehydic in the opening. The opening is also fresh, green and nearly floral. I suppose in the opening I detect the cedar and the fig notes. The opening is very vegetal; the cedar notes smell more like the needles, or sap of a cedar tree and not the heavy, cedar wood. Does this make sense? I suppose the mid-notes and landing notes are all about ambroxan and musk. That's it! Despite what one might surmise from its ingredients, this fragrance never feels thick, dense, or heavy. The fragrance is ethereal, almost veil like. Given this, I can absolutely see either a man, or a woman wearing this fragrance. Overall, a crowd pleaser! Cannot imagine why anyone would dislike this perfume.

I always say I'm not a signature fragrance type of guy but DAMN. This thing made me question my life choices when it comes to perfumes. It seems that it only took me over 150 full bottles and countless samples to finally find the thing I want to wear every day. This smells like a perfect blend of Philosykos and Santal 33. The opening reminds me a lot of Philosykos but on steroids as it lasts way longer and projects stronger. I already own Philosykos and do love it but rarely ever wear it as the smell is gone before I even leave my apartment. As it transitions into the drydown, Parisian Musc starts to resemble Santal 33 but here also only the good part - woody and a bit ambery without the weird smell of potatoes and dill. Overall it's more spring/summer fragrance but since the performance is solid, I think you can wear it all year round. Price wise it's not that great as normally it costs around 260eur which is not cheap. But if you do some hunting online like I did, you can get it closer to 160eur and that's a fair price.

I love this scent and have had so many compliments on it! I love all figgy fragrances, Philosykos being my favourite for the summer months, but I was so intrigued by the combination of fig leaf with woody, lactonic musks. I think in this composition, on my skin chemistry, it's the perfect pairing. I love a lot of Le Labo scents, and this does share a lot of that DNA - so much so my friend asked which Le Labo I was wearing - however I used to wear Santal 33 a lot but it does definitely take on the dill pickle note on my skin sadly and feels quite sharp and leathery. Parisian Musc combines the best elements of Philosykos and Santal 33, layering that green, almost sweet, fig leaf creaminess with the rich woody, musky dimension that feels quite creamy, comforting and elegant. It's a new signature scent for me - particularly in the cooler months - and I think it's quite a chic, grown-up scent.

The first blast is incredibly green, photorealistic cedar and fresh fig leaf. You can identify each of these notes immediately. The fragrance stays like this for a good 30-40mins - I was so confused why this has been deemed a musk scent or a “clean girl” scent - but then BANG as it settles on the skin, a creamy almost laconic, but yet musky, waft comes through and it also becomes much more sweet. That fresh greenness and the cedar fades out beautifully and is replaced by a musky, creamy fig blend - and there’s a woody base that smells reminiscent of sandalwood in the dry down. This is beautiful. Perfect for spring and a unique take on musk. Lasts about 6-8hrs and projects softly and closer to the skin. I love this one for work as it doesn’t offend but also for days at home - it’s so cosy, addictive. I have had this for 2 months and it’s already half empty, I can’t get enough.

I've been searching for my perfect cozy, creamy, comforting winter scent and I think this is it. I love white musks and tried a huge batch of clean, soft musk samples before deciding this was my favorite, using up my 2ml sample, and finally just buying myself a full bottle from a discounter during the holiday sales. This is decidedly sweet to my nose, but I love the balance that the greenness, cedar, and ambrette bring to the sweet creaminess. It's so warm, cozy, and comforting while still holding my interest and feeling sophisticated throughout. It feels elegant, just feminine enough, and perfectly complements cashmere. That said, this will probably go into the drawer when the weather gets warm - I can already tell that its sweetness will be too much for me in any kind of heat. That's when I'll be craving bright fresh citrus notes, not creamy sweet woody fig.

Gorgeous fragrance, have been asked about this more than anything else I own so the sillage is clearly very good! It's incredibly beautiful and quite chic, the strong fig note is green and fresh and yummy without being overwhelming, the dry down is a creamy close musk. I like to reapply at midday so I end up layering on top of the musk and by the end of the day I smell amazing. It has a quality I like that I think is from the ambrette, which is a cocoon like experience when I put it on, it makes me incredibly happy whenever I smell it during the day. I've only worn it during a very hot summer and it's performed very well with the figgy greenery and creaminess blooming without ever being sickly. My friend and I tried it at the same time and it smelt awful on her so it's clearly skin dependant.

I sprayed it first in a cold day, i thought wow the opening is too much not my style but then somewhere over the other 50 perfumes i sprayed that day it found its way to my nose. Tried for the 2nd time, opening again too in your face reminded me the feeling of dans tes bras from Fredric malle but then the perfume is reborn in my skin.. clean fig - i love fico nero and i feel this is 10x stronger clean skin,musk and fig. I know i ll buy it with my next paycheck.. and i know it will make me feel like that lady who walks in front of you: all dressed in ivory, silk shirt, super elegant minimal gold accesories, milky white nails, tanned, nice shades.. she smells so clean, definition of elegance... next month hopefully .. i want to be that woman

At first sniff in the store it reminded me of summers walking around Paris after work. Now I see it more as a nice fig-y scent with something more. I've tried Gris Charnel for a while, but eventually got bored as I found it too easy to like and get used to. I don't have this with Parisian Musc, so far every wear makes me happy! It opens fresh and slowly develops into something more cozy but not boring overtime, while always keeping a hint of freshness. It works for work, for outings with friends, by sunny or rainy weather (although I prefer it with overcast weather!), day or evening. I'm still on a sample, but this is becoming my default to grab when I don't know what to wear, and I might get a full bottle soon!

Parisian Musc , when I first saw this fragrance on my feed, I dismissed it as something that wouldn't be for me. Based on the name alone, I imagined a Moulin Rouge inspired scent, a powdery boudoir musk with animalic facets. In my mind, I could practically see a biddy-eyed civet listed among the notes. I was completely mistaken. Parisian Musc is a beautifully blended "your skin but better" fragrance. It opens with green woody notes and musk, and that clean, effortless character remains consistent throughout the wear. It's airy, fresh, and understated. Longevity is around six hours on my skin, with intimate projection. If you enjoy clean, woody skin scents, this is definitely one worth testing.

I am OBSESSED with this scent. The opening cedar note is that cool girl, trendy wood shavings scent remniscent of glossier you, but there's also a vegetal greenness that makes this different. I definitely get fig, and maybe a bit of coconut- those two notes always seem to go together because of their common chemical ancestry. It's sharp and clean smelling, almost soapy, and when it dries down there's a bit of lactonic creaminess that contrasts the sharpness beautifully. This scent to me smells like a curator for an art gallery, who wears a lot of maximalist gold jewelry and has beautiful hair. I have a crush on her. I have a crush on myself when I wear it. 10/10

Opening is very strong and green and does remain that way for the first hour or so, with a dry almost sandalwood note. But with time something creamy starts to step in, creamy soft woods and also a clean , fluffy , , warm musk and this combination makes it feel very cozy. However through out this fragrance I do get a soapy nuance, it’s not strong or in your face but I picked up most in the opening and just softens out throughout the wear. This is perfect throughout the year and projection is very great , it just wafts around you and longevity is also amazing , about 8 hrs on skin and longer on clothes

I remember reading the notes of this perfume and thinking “I will never wear it and I will never like it”. But it's my favorite now with Encens Suave. It opens with a tasty savory ambrette slightly peppery with a strong influence of cedar wood. I feel some hedione and fig milk, making the composition creamy and lactonic. While musky notes are always present, there are also notes of leaves - yes, leaves - resins and amber. My favorite, it’s perfect. Only improves when combined with Santal Austral. It is green, lactonic, fresh, and musky. The color of the liquid represents it perfectly.

I really love this fragrance. It falls in the same sphere as Santal 33 and Gris Charnel, so if those resonate with you, Parisian Musc is likely to as well. I especially see it as a beautiful summer alternative for those who love Gris Charnel in the cooler months. What I admire most is its sophistication without feeling overdone or like it’s trying too hard. Instead, it embodies that elusive 'French girl beauty', absolutely stunning yet seemingly effortless.

This is my new favourite. Sophistication and comfort in a bottle. It wasn't love at first spray, but thankfully I had a sample to sit with. I made a whole Pinterest board about the type of imagery it pulls you into. It tugs at the heart strings, it doesn't rush. It makes me feel like I am freshly showered, in a creamy fluffy jumper, eating almonds on a Parisian balcony in the morning. I am about to stroll down to a café and fetch some croissants. I find it hard to come across a musky scent that measures up to this. I really want to get the body lotion and hair fragrance now too.

At first, there is a strong green fig/stem scent, with a woody, musky base. The greenness mellows a bit on dry down and a slightly sweet (maybe yellow floral) note joins in. The longer it’s on, the more beautiful it gets. I agree with the criticism of its name. It does feel much more Mediterranean than Parisian. Seems almost like a younger, more playful cousin of House of Bo, Casa Blanca. This was a full bottle blind buy for me, and I’m glad I love it this much. It’s a different scent profile than I usually wear, and I’m happy to expand my taste and collection.

This is definitely NOT musky. The main player here is fig although it's not listed in the notes and the woody notes just stay at the supporting roles. Opening is fresh , green fig or fig leaves and the dry down is creamy, milky fig with woody cedar. The scent is not what it says on the bottle but this is still a very good perfume with high quality ingredients. 4 to 6 sprays will get you through the whole day with the beautiful scent trail being left behind wherever you go. If you play your number of sprays right, it could be suitable for all kinds of weather.

As a long time lover of Philosykos, I always wished it lasted longer and wished the subtlety sweet fig note was a little deeper/more prominent. Parisian Musc checks both those boxes! It took me a while to sample since the notes didn’t peak my interest. Fig is one of my favorite notes but it is not listed. When I finally got my nose on it, I was so pleasantly surprised and impressed! This is such a clean, dreamy, fig! Simple yet elegant. Fresh but creamy! I own over 4O fragrances and this is the closest thing I have to a signature scent.

There are few things I love more than a fig note, and I mean out of all things, not just perfume things. This is the champion of the figs, even if it's not declaring itself to be fig. Like a sophisticated fig dessert in the classiest restaurant you've ever eaten in, not weak and watery like Philosykos, not booming and bold like The Noir 29, not harsh and astringent like Debaser, not overpowered and unplaceable like Gris Charnel (but I love all of these too, stop making me choose between my children). PS. Musk is nowhere to be seen here.

smooth musk with a bit of wood. but i do need to emphasise how smooth it actually is. it’s a very clean musk, definitely NOT soapy, just smells like something clean. if those decorative blue glass pebbles were a smell they would be this (in the best way possible). personally on my skin i don’t get any fig?? or green notes so that quite confuses me lol but on my clothes i find it a bit lactonic in a coconuty way. also i get the comparison to santal 33, pm is just wayyy smoother and less fresh. cool girl scent material.

Amazeballs. After months of vetting clean white musks, this one is at the top of my collection. Super comfy, creamy, and relaxing scent. All day longevity and sillage. Linear which is perfect for this profile ‘cuz xtimes I don’t wanna play “guess that personality.” Musk Therapy is beautiful but leans feminine. Mandarine is awesome but rather light and close to skin. I appreciate that this lasts all day and leans more masculine. If you’ve found white musks to be too “pink” smelling, give this a try.

This one grew on me and has become my morning reach most days. There’s a sharp sourness of the opening that was turning me off but after about a week this became what I craved about the fragrance. Woody, lactonic, fig somewhere in there. Smells good in the air. People like this. Slightly feminine. leaning until the dry down imo. Decent performance in the heat of se Asia. I prefer it over santal 33 This is clean non offensive and just very pleasant fragrance. Well done matière

on me, this is a sticky, sappy fig forward scent that delicately manages not to be cloying (impressive) While cedar is present, it is v mild and you mostly get whiffs of fig+musk together which is HEAVENLYYY feels like a cozy cashmere sweater in the spring/fall and freshly lotioned sweet skin, but with a surprisingly good silliage for a skin-like scent. not too strong, not too weak, very smooth and elegant,, for someone who wants to feel cozy and chic at the same time 🧦⛅️🎧☕️

If I see Matiere Premiere in a store again I’m definitely smelling more from the house because this fragrance impressed me that much. It’s creamy and musky with a freshness to it that cuts through the air without ever feeling heavy which makes it easy to wear year round no matter the weather. I compared this side by side with Reflection Man and Lafayette Street before buying and this was the one I went home with because to me it just felt the most complete.

This is a chic, green version of the santal king Santal 33, but with no leather roughing it up. This is a great "santal" option for spring/summer & warm weather, where Santal 33 does best in cold weather. The gag is there is no sandalwood in this fragrance at all! But I love it. I'm a lover of ambroxan, ambrette, and musk so this is a masterpiece for me. Longevity is good on skin and clothes and I receive the most compliments when I'm hugging someone.

Oh man I might have to buy a FB. It’s freshly shampooed hair, it’s a terrace in the springtime, it’s one of those no-brainer fragrances you could reach for if you just want to smell NICE. It’s absolutely lovely. Perfect blend of light fig/greens with cotton and sweetness with the tiniestttt touch of musk mallow. If I were to imagine what Audrey Hepburn smelled like, this would be it. Elegant and fresh, complex and beautiful. Ah!

This is my anytime, anywhere don't even have to think about it scent. Low key but doesn't go unnoticed. Gets complimented. Smells addictive. Flawlessly chic. Perfect for hot weather but I'll wear it on all but the coldest days too. Casual, work and even a night out or special occasion it's great -- though often prefer more of a statement in an evening. Fig leaf, a perfect musk (I'm picky) and just the right amount of ambroxan.

Parisian Musc ✽✽✽✽✽ A perfect everyday scent. Not a single note in it could be labelled as "offensive" or intrusive. Reminds me very much of broken tree branches. A green, smooth almost milky composition with no rough edges. Performance is immaculate, good 8 hours of longevity with pleasant projection and sillage. Everything you want from a quiet, daily wear perfume. Signature scent worthy, if there ever was one.

I've worn a lot over the years, and this is the closest thing I have to a signature scent. Enjoy wearing this fragrance, however, the scent profile is right up my alley. In my opinion, it's very versatile and can be worn on many different occasions. Lasts for a while on my skin, and gives a nice intimate scent bubble for the entire day. It can be found for a good deal, too. What I call my signature scent.

The opening is very vegetal with the mix of a pickled sandalwood like you would find in santal 33. As it dries the magic happens. Within a short few minutes I get a green fig that becomes sweeter as is dries. Just slightly sweet, not overly. The musky woody base is very skin like. The musk isn’t screechy at all. Something about this fragrance is very chic, yet cozy. It can be dressed up or down for sure.

I get why so many of reviewers compare it to philosykos, and I can feel that too. but I was looking for a comment to validate my discovery: for the first hour it's almost identical to Diptyque's summer essential — Ilio. and dare I say it's everything I wish Ilio could be. p.s. after 6 hours all I call hear is fancy pickles. love that. hope that's what Pamela Anderson's overpriced pickles smell like :)

Amazing Fragrance !!! was love at first sniff. Clean, soft and creamy, with ambrette, musk at its core. Cedar gives it a chic dryness and fig leaf brings a gentle green sweetness. It feels calming and elegant, like the scent of a luxury spa or hotel, it’s cozy, divine. For me, it stands far above others in this style: superior quality, longevity, and ingredients. Suitable for any age and gender. 10/10

At first try, I actually didn’t understand and didn’t like the smell. Irritated and not attracted. A few days later I love the perfume. Very beautiful and you can feel a high quality. Only thing that I don’t like about it is the sillage. Longevity is good but its a skin scent for me. It is not mentioned here in notes but fig and coconut is there, but in a different way like medicine smell

Modern, enveloping, unique. A fragrance that envelops you and never leaves. Reassuring, positive, a refined, elegant musk, yet modern and captivating. Virginia cedar dominates at the beginning, then, after a few minutes, gives way to a fantastic musk, with ambrette seeds that lend the fragrance charm and elegance. Fantastic! Smells like fig plant to me, even though that isn't listed as an option in the notes? My cats HATE this; I really LOVE it. It isn't particularly complex but I love to wear it to family events or out for a walk; I'd wear it to work if I didn't work from home. It is inoffensive and not at all risky. Gives off preppy, classic, "I shop at Banana Republic and RW&Co" vibes.

Green, figgy, synthetic and radiant musk. I like how synthetic it is - Philosykos smells too natural for me, though it is very similar. Parisian Musc is like the combination of Philosykos and Santal 33 (without the disgusting musty leather/sandalwood/dill pickle concoction). Also smells spicy a little, like cardamom. Very nice for a professional environment.

i really really love it. unfortunately, this is my failed situationship's signature scent so its ruined to me now. spayed it on myself at the shop recently after one more break up and ahh.. spent a day with a sexy, emotionally unavailable ghost. to make it worse, this perfume has excellent longevity so he stayed with me for the whole day...... 9/10

I love this! It opens with bright and airy with a sharp fig scent. It is lovely, clean, airy and light. After about an hour the sharp green freshness softens and turns more creamy. The musk becomes a bit warmer and more rounded while remaining clean and natural, shifting from sparkling freshness to a softer skin-like warmth rather than sweetness.

People voting this as moderate lasting have simply not a very good skin chemistry. This is a beast mode fragrance (god I hate the term). Also can someone please add a damn fig note. Cause it's what the fragrance is all about. Beautiful, creamy fig. Simple but gorgeous. It's a compliment magnet and leaves a lasting impression on everyone.

Wow this is a beautiful. I’ve never really enjoyed fig fragrances until I smelled this one day last year. Green, woody, milky, clean, perfection. Casual chic. Seriously, this is what I’ve been wanting for in a fragrance. This is lowkey a beast performer, outperforming Philosykos and Debaser. The perfect signature scent. 9.6/10

Peppery creamy and salty! So delicious and earthy, smells like santal 33 a bit but better. An amazing everyday scent. Almost reminds me of a coastal place, like Italy. Where pepper is used and creams and salt, but then there’s the air of sophistication with the green figgy notes. so lovely, would be an amazing signature scent

Very pleasing woody, ambery, musky, creamy, and slightly figgy fragrance. Deep enough to wear in the fall/winter, fits perfectly with spring, and inviting enough to pull off on a not-too-summer day. This is what Regalien's Mystic was aiming for but fell relatively short in achieving. Thumbs up Aurelien Guichard.

This wasn’t what I expected at all but I was also pleasantly surprised. I was expecting a more musk heavy clean fresh fragrance but instead it’s green fresh that reminds me of diptyque Philosykos I can detect a fig style note even though it isn’t listed. This is NOT a scent profile I would typically find myself drawn to, BUT I love it. It may become my signature scent. I love the warm, musky, woods scent. The green opening keeps it light. For me this evokes the image of a sexy Parisian woman wearing red lipstick and smoking a cigarette. I love it!

I loooove this. It is green, it is woody, it is figgy its creamy and musky, its perfect. This is such an easy and enjoyable wear, performs really well and you will 100% get compliments coming in hot, if that's what you're into. In my opinion, this is a masterpiece and the perfect fragrance.
