Vanilla Powder

I blind bought a full sized 3.4 oz bottle, totally crazy I know lol but something came over me when I got a good deal on it and I hit purchase. Happy to report I love it! Tried directly on my skin. It starts off as a clean, cotton-y vanilla coconut smell. The vanilla is very much in the background to the other notes in this. At first smells like clean crisp white linens that someone sprayed some high quality expensive cologne on lol. The musks are pretty strong and it leans almost soapy. It's totally not how I imagined at all, I pictured something dark, sultry and smoky like Diptyque Eau Duelle EDP. The vanilla in this isn't super prominent like it is in for example Eau Duelle. It's even more airy than Eau Duelle IMO, which I consider the best airy non-sweet dark vanilla. After a while I get a more powdery, deep woody vibe from the palo santo, kind of reminds me of Arab perfumes on drydown. If I could describe this perfume using a vibe, I'd say it smells like an old but beautiful log cabin by the sea that you've lit clean vanilla smelling candles in. For some reason it's always cloudy on this beach and you sit in your cozy white cashmere blankets by the window and look out at the grey looking sea. You have a clothesline and hang your fresh white linens on it and you catch a whiff of it as you walk by, and the scent mixes with the earthy woody aroma with salty ocean breeze. Once it dries down its more serious and smells more woody and masculine. I have seen this described a lot as a winter weather perfume but it smells like it's for warm weather to me. But like gloomy cloudy overcast Spring day kind of weather. I can't believe there's so much discord over this and some people hate it so passionately lol. Super unique perfume!! It doesn't smell anything like Eau Duelle but if you love Eau Duelle I think you'll like this because it's a totally unique, airy vanilla that isn't gourmand. EDITED to add, I wore it out today and yesterday for the first time and I got so many compliments! People went out of their way to ask me what I was wearing.

My advice: take all reviews with a grain of salt. Perfume is an individual experience hence you need to try them before purchasing. Every person has different olfactory receptors and skin chemistry that shapes the experience. I love this perfume. Like a lot! On my skin is not the typical sweet vanilla, not gourmand, not flowery. It presented itself as a minimalistic, powdery (cosmetic) perfume, with a straight fine line of sweetness, mineral/woody bitterness and a sparkling lift in the drydown. This made the experience feel different from other perfumes I own and it gave a modern sofistication twist. I perceived it as an "almost linear composition". The bitternes comes from the vanilla absolute with the palo santo note which is completely normal and the white musk brings the subtle mineral profile. If you don't like bitter or mineral scents this is NOT FOR YOU. The coconut powder with the heliotrope are there to avoid the vanilla to feel edible, for texture and balance. For me this was exactly what I was looking for. I perceived the smell of soft milky coconut during the day and yes, it makes the perfume feel like you are wearing a "high-end" white vanilla - coconut body lotion/splash/powder but less sweet and, in my opinion, a modern interpretation of subtle elegance. Longevity: 10/10 Sillage: 10/10 (2 sprays are enough for others to feel the fragrance at an arm's lenght) Autumn/Winter/Spring (1 spray in spring would be enough, like in the back of the neck) Day/Night I recommend it to people that likes bitter, metallic, mineral, sweet but not sugary profiles. Won't please everybody. Better order a sample first and see how it develops on your skin. Acquired taste.

BOO!! This rating is so unfair to such a masterpiece of fragrance. So this off the bat, will not be for everyone. What’s really going to make or break this scent for most, will be the musk. You’re either going to LOVE the interest it gives the fragrance or be completely turned off and wish that it smelled like a simple coconut vanilla. Mon Cherie, this is anything but. The initial opening is harsh to my nose for all of 30 seconds. By the minute mark, the musk has now become more “fresh” with the vanilla and coconut being the main players and the palo santo doing a very demure but sexy dance in the background. It all comes together to be a drier, but not overly so, coconut vanilla scent. This is a “trust fund” scent if smelling luxurious matters to you. I’m in love and get SO many compliments on this, especially when I use it to layer. It is my go to layering scent because it has a way of adding extra intrigue and dollar signs to anything I wear. IYKYK. This is a massive compliment getter and I can attest to how amazing my silage smells in the air. It even layers with freshies, which I didn’t expect. A lifer for me. A girl in the street literally wanted to be friends based off of how I smelled (that’s automatically how she started a convo with me and she’s SHY). In her words “I never do this but I just had to tell you how good you smell and had to know what it is”. I layered this with Versace Eros Pour femme, a very sexy freshie imo. 10-12 sprays of Eros and 5-7 of Vanilla powder on top was the exact formula. We don’t gate keep over here. Oh! It was one of the coldest days in NYC btw. At least 30 degrees if not under. You’ll be UNSTOPPABLE 💋💋

Firstly, to answer a previous question on the thread, in certain stores around the world, there have been full bottles to try out (but not buy or even get samples of) as a part of pre-release event. I am lucky enough to be in Florence, and Campomarzio (who I believe have a relationship with MP) had a full bottle available to try over this weekend. I presume similar samples are available around the world. Onto the review: A really beautiful addition to the MP line, surpassing my initial expectations. It has a creaminess and warmth that reminds me of Santal Austral from the same line, which comes from the gorgeous combination of Vanilla and Coconut Powder. I confess, I was worried seeing the notes on Fragrantica that this composition would be too sickly sweet; generally, the coconut/vanilla combination comes off too gourmand for my taste. But I think Aurélien did a great job of keeping the creamy and sweet facets of the vanilla and coconut, without it being too sickly. I think this is helped by the clean musks and woods in the background that help give the composition a refined feel, that I get with many of the other MP fragrances. As for performance, the longevity was great. I tried this on my skin at around 3pm and smelled it around me well into the night. I even faintly smelled the musks and woods the next morning. The sillage isn’t beastly, but good enough for it not to disappoint me. Personally, this is a plus in my books, as I prefer fragrances not to radiate throughout the whole room. Overall, a great addition to the MP line. I’ll definitely be getting a bottle when it comes out (which I was told might not be for a month or two).

This is not a perfume, at least not in the traditional sense. This is more along the lines of the Molecule line and other molecule/aroma chemical based scents such as Juliette not a perfume etc. This is an Ambroxan bomb. Hence why it’s so divisive. The opening is very addictive. A burst of sweet vanilla and citrus. The Ambroxan gives it that intriguing quality. As it starts to dry down it becomes a dusty raw vanilla. Void of any sweetness but backed by the palo santo woods and white musk. I get some of the coconut but not overwhelming. And it smells like high quality vanilla, natural, raw and unadulterated. This is meant to smell like skin. There is a saltiness to it. I think how it is perceived is highly dependant on your skin chemistry. Also this smells better in the air rather than sniffed up close. Despite it being a skin like scent it is anything but a skin scent, it projects and lasts. It does that Ambroxan heavy thing where it appears and disappears. Very easy to go nose blind to it. The opening would suggest it’s a spring summer scent. Personally I think it’s suited more to cooler weather based on the mid and dry down. There is something addictive about this. Will pick up a bottle soon. Edit: the opening is not citrus. It’s mango. The tinned variety mixed with cream. Anyone who’s had that dessert will know the smell in talking about. Of course it could just be my nose and all this is made up. Edit 2: This clings to clothes for weeks!

Vanilla powder is a soft, cozy vanilla-forward that manages to not be overpowering, but even with a just a small dab behind each ear it can linger for 12-24 hours. I have yet to have someone dislike this fragrance on me, The heliotrope, vanilla powder, and lactones keep this fragrance soft and powdery and the slight palo santo ground this to prevent it teetering over the edge to a gourmand-vanilla. It is definitely lighter and perhaps more complex than the extrait, better for warmer weather and daytime and a more "clean girl" scent. If they were colors, the regular vanilla powder would be a metallic champagne and the extrait would be more of a bronze, different enough to justify buying each if this is a profile you prefer, but similar enough you could just choose one if you prefer to keep a smaller fragrance closet. Vanilla powder only disappoints in that while it is distinct enough that I haven't smelled anything like it before and I find it addictive, it doesn't feel like it has a significant fragrance personality to it and it can be rather linear. Of course, this means it is lovely to layer with other scents throughout the day. Definitely one of my go-to's for a cozy day in and work or travel days when I don't want to bother re-applying.

The composition itself is remarkably linear—no dramatic twists, just a steady, dry, slightly smoky vanilla with mineral undertones and a bitter edge. This isn't a sugary gourmand or a dessert in a bottle. It’s vanilla stripped of sweetness—unapologetic, unedible, and unforgettable.

This is a complex masterclass in modern aroma chemicals blending. Created by Aurélien Guichard who I think is a very underrated perfumer. Vanilla Powder is not your typical vanilla. In fact, i wouldn't call it a vanilla. It's a lot of things. It's bit salty, creamy, milky/lactonic, a bit primal even. On my skin, i can definitely smell the vanilla in the opening, but the scent quickly shifts into a complex lactonic woody composition, unlike anything i've ever smelled before. The listed notes they provide is also correct. It's coconut powder but not coconut. No lies here. Precisely dry, salty and dusty coconut powder, enveloped by a primal lactonic veil. Palo Santo is so gorgeous here. It's complex with just a touch of sweetness. White musk is very heavy in the drydown. It's a synthetic molecule that seem to always turn scents into beast mode on my skin. Vanilla Powder is very strong. Beware not to overspray because it might nose blind trick you that it's not there, but rest assured it is, and it will be very strong even after many hours of application, due to all the synthetics added here. Me? I love it!

i will defend vanilla powder til the day i die. while i love vanilla, so many on the market today are tooth-achingly sweet, and vp, thankfully, manages to circumvent this trope entirely. it's light, powdery, and gentle, and feels like a downy breeze. it is stable and comforting while maintaining an air of intrigue and sensuality. i am not a coconut fan by any means—in fact, i dislike it. however, paired with the vanilla, heliotrope, and musk, it becomes a dreamy and mineral-like scent reminiscent of a far away beach. there was definitely a learning curve to using this. in any other season than winter, it is crucial to spray no more than once or twice, or it will become a nuclear, radiating cloud of scent. do not let this deter you. you will find the sweet spot. it is important to note that, as many others have mentioned, if you spray this on fabric, it will take multiple washes to expunge from clothing fully. the best part of this perfume is the dry down on skin. it's salty-sweet without being saccharine. sunny, warm, cozy. vanilla powder stands out.

I’ll be honest: at first, I wasn’t a fan. I let it sit for a week, and when I finally went back to it, it had transformed into a truly lovely scent. It is the definition of a compliment magnet; every time I wear it, people notice and ask what it is. The standout for me is the coconut note. It’s handled so beautifully here refined, airy, and natural. What is most incredible is the longevity. Even five days after wearing it, I’ll still catch random whiffs of it on my blankets and clothes. It has a way of lingering in your environment long after you think it’s gone. There is a real element of nose blindness with this one, too. Because the scent is so persistent, your nose might stop picking it up after a while, making you think it has faded but then you’ll catch that beautiful trail again hours (or even days) later, proving it never left. If you want an absolute 10/10 experience, try pairing it with Delina Exclusif. The creamy, coconut-vanilla base provides the perfect foundation for that jammy rose, creating a trail that is honestly intoxicating.

I didn’t expect to like this at all. I got the smallest bottle I could find, thinking I would give it away or whatever, because I normally don’t like Palo Santo, nor do I get down with coconut. But I love this. I love it. A coworker said I smelled like ‘a candle that had been recently blown out’ and that stuck with me. There’s something about the palo santo that plays with the coconut powder that lends to this smelling ‘ablaze’. Like, you can tell it’s working. I guess that’s the sharpness that folks don’t seem to like too much? It’s kind of my favorite part. I’ve got so many soft comforting vanilla scents that this stands out in a tremendous way and keeps calling me back. I’ve also been layering with sweeter body care scents to take the edge off of me feeling the need to get the extrait version, because from what I can tell (based on the opinions of complete strangers on the internet) I don’t need both, especially if I love the OG like I do.

This is an amazing perfume but wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea. The opening is strong, kind of masculine leaning with a hint of coconut but the dry down is a beautiful grown vanilla with wood. The sillage and longevity is crazy, everyone notices it immediately, it stays of skin over 24 hours and silliage is still there for over 10 hours. I always get compliments when i wear this. I feel like there is a misconception about vanilla powder being masculine leaning, I think it's more of a female leaning scent but would be great on men too I mean it's a unisex scent after all. Would be great to use on summer nights and an all-day fragrance during winter. It's not a spring fragrance in my opinion, too strong. Do not over spray because of nose blindness, you may not smell it but everyone else will so 4-5 sprays max will be more than enough.

Oh WOW. I absolutely LOVE this. The first time I sprayed it on, it scared me a bit because there is a sweaty, animalic quality to it. I don't know if I got used to that very quickly or that these notes dry down on my skin fairly quickly, but damn... this is addictive stuff. Like a sort of heavy, cosy vanilla blanket that I have to keep sniffing. It's extremely potent, and lasts forever. It transfers to clothes and stays there, too. I can imagine this is a total hate it or love it scent, definitely not a blind buy. But for me, this is the only vanilla I will ever want to wear. Suitable for fall and winter. For me more of a feminine scent for sure, but I think the right person of a more masculine gender could pull it off as well.

Well, this is a surprise. I'm stunned to find a vanilla I don't absolutely detest. In fact, I really love this. Vanilla and patchouli are the two notes I can't stand, yet, in the right composition they obviously can be fantastic for me. Another lesson to never reject beforehand because of notes alone. This is not sweet, it's sensual, cosy, warm, sexy. An interesting musk. It's not linear on me, it develops and stays multi-faceted. Great longevity and projection. It is grounded by a dry and sharp note, I can't place it. Coconut is there, a lovely, airy hint of it. I could swear there's saffron, but apparently not. Definitely unisex, right in the middle. Smells fantastic on my husband too, he loved it. And he's discerning.

smells like the coconut flakes you put on top of desserts. A beautiful powdery coconut scent with the sweetness of vanilla. it isnt very gourmand, but it is a little sweet, i get a bit of the musk as well. Very powerfull, 3-4 sprays will easily save the day but i go noseblind to this very easily, 15 mins after i spray i can no longer smell it but people around me can even at the end of the day. It leans more feminine in my opinion but can easily be worn by man that like a little sweet scents. This is my most expensive perfume and i absolutely love it. Though fursan white smells almost the same, i only splurged because i loved it so much and wanted the extra performance, you can easily buy fursan white.

Dessicated coconut, coconut aminos with a touch of vanilla extract and musk mixed carefully spooned onto a palo santo plank. This is soft, not too warm, and - as the name suggests - a bit dry. With that, there is an ever-so-slight nose tickle I get with Vanilla Powder - you just feel this perfume when you smell it, but it leans more waxy than dusty. In terms of the vanilla....I wouldn't call this salty vs sweet but rather hitting a spot right between the two, maybe a touch on the saltier side if I had to choose. Vanilla Powder is unlike other vanilla scents I have and I absolutely love this; odds are likely that I will be ordering a fb after using up the 6ml I ordered direct from MP.

I discovered this hidden gem while on the hunt for L’Artisan Parfumeur’s Couleur Vanille, and it completely exceeded expectations. It’s a unique take on vanilla and a real crowd-pleaser - I’ve received a lot of compliments wearing this. The opening can feel a bit overbearing if you apply too much, but as it settles, it transforms beautifully into soft, powdery notes that feel smooth and refined. I’ll likely keep this in rotation for the winter months, and it could easily become a signature scent for the right person.

A beautiful, deep vanilla, slightly caramelized, gourmand without being cloying. From the very first application, the sillage is huge, projected, the kind you notice immediately around you. Proof in the results: first wear, and the compliments already pour in, my girlfriend, her friend, and even strangers in the street stopping to ask what I'm wearing. The longevity is out of this world: still present on my bracelets four days later. A perfect scent for fall, winter, and early spring, made for evenings and dates, the kind of scent that makes people remember your passing.

I received a sample of this with another purchase. I’m a huge vanilla fan and loved the notes... but this wasn’t love at first sniff. I found it overwhelming, cloying, not so gourmandy as I expected. I kept it at my perfume closet and time to time reached for it, mainly in the evenings. I’m not sure what changed, but after a while I became a huge fan! I almost only use it in the evenings, spray some on my wrist when going to bed. It became my nighttime scent! Longevity is crazy, I can still smell it in the mornings.

I wanted a powdery sweet vanilla with a strong coconut note. It’s not light and fluffy but the powdery notes make it smell whipped and I didn’t initially notice the Palo Santo but I think it really enhances the coconut and somehow makes it smell more like coconut? Hard to explain but I smelt a bunch of coconut vanilla scents and found they really lacked depth. This is my fav. She is pricy I’m ngl so I’ve just gotten the tiny 6ml bottle for now. I’m someone that doesn’t spray a lot so it should last me a while.

It’s like a clean, powdery vanilla. Very aromatic and really makes a statement. It works well for warm weather in my opinion and if used moderately is great for intimate settings. Women really like this on me, they want to wear it themselves. The coconut is very much blended, behind the scenes which I think is what gives it this aromatic freshness. Great unisex scent if you don’t mind dipping into a feminine leaning fragrance.

I don’t like gourmand edible fragrances & I was excited to see this beauty on the perfume market. This is the best vanilla. There’s no more explaining to do! It is sexy, classy, sophisticated & elegant! Best vanilla I’ve tried!!!! It’s projection & sillage is around 12 hours on me!!! Rich & successful woman vanilla. If you want a sweet vanilla this isn’t for you! It’s a masterpiece vanilla and so unique. Nothing compares.

This is pretty random but for people in the UK, if you’re obsessed with this scent, B&M have released a range Oud products. Room spray, scented candle, laundry detergent, frantic softener etc. They have one called Arabian nights Oud and Musk. It’s a 1:1 of vanillla powder. And all for £2. The other scents smell familiar too but can’t quite name them yet. But as I own vanilla powder I recognised it instantly.

I’ve had my bottle of vanilla powder for some time now and it just gets better and stronger the longer you have it. Put it on today, 2 sprays to the one wrist and it’s a beast. I just love the blend of coconut, vanilla and Palo santo. This fragrance will go down in history as a masterpiece. It’s spurned a hundred flankers. It’s overpriced for a lot of people but Khadlaj Fursan white comes pretty close.

someone in the reviews called this perfume “cold, dusty and sterile”. that’s exactly why i love it. as a big gourmand fan, it’s an exciting take on a vanilla perfume that i’m looking forward to experiment with more when it comes to layering. got this as a sample in a sephora order and cannot stop revisiting it. i’m guessing i’ll have to make more room on my vanity soon.

What a misleading name! It’s absolutely not powdery and the predominant scent is coco-musk as much as vanilla. On my skin it develops an almost citrusy note. This fragrance seems to abide by the adage that your creative work isn’t complete when there’s nothing left to add, but nothing left to take away; its beauty is its simplicity. Will strongly consider a full bottle.

I tested this on my wrist in December ‘25 in store, it stayed 3 days on my wrist even after showering. Now that I’ve bought a FSB, not sure if they reformulated it but now I only get about 9 hours of longevity on mine. They also upped the price which is BS if they’ve tweaked it. Projection is still good tho, will definitely turn heads and leave a trail.

This is a gorgeous powdery Cocount vanilla this is one of my favorite scent profiles if a perfume has vanilla and Cocount in it I’m literally sold because those 2 fragrance notes are beautiful together they blend so good I love that you can wear this fragrance all year round literally this smells great in the heat as well not just weather!

This fragrance right here is amazing. I even wear it as a guy, that’s how good it is. The combination of vanilla and coconut almost gives off this subtle mango vibe. It’s not a powdery, overly sweet vanilla/coconut syrup smell either; it’s a very fresh, uplifting blend that somehow creates this fresh mango feel. I NEED TO TRY THE EXTRAIT.

Judging by some of the reviews I think I'm lucky as the one I received seems to be from a batch of an excellent sillage and longevity. The scent itself is unique and beautiful. It has this very raw, natural vanilla in it with powdery coconut and elegant woody backbone. I love this and I would be heartbroken if this was ever discontinued!

Soft, high-quality, warm, long-lasting. Full of vanilla. I really liked the opening; the Madagascar vanilla in the middle note gave me the feeling of eating a very high-quality vanilla dessert. When I got to the base, the lactonic sensation it left behind added a unique and sophisticated interpretation to the softness of the vanilla.

SOOOO GOOD, A dry, creamy, powdery, woody vanilla coconut fragrance. Super unisex in my opinion, and reminds me a lot of vanilla era by boy smells. I Honestly haven’t experienced a fragrance with this strong of a performance other than Arabian’s Tonka. Super worth the price, and even more worth it if you can find a tester bottle.

i got the chance to smell this. could easily go between my most beloved vanilla scents, but i couldn't get an idea of the dry down. seeing people say how they runned to wash their wrist becuase of the dry down, i will for sure try it on my skin before purchasing. cant wait to get my hands on this tho, i still got my hopes up

I absolutely ADORE this scent but it is STRONG, one or 2 sprays MAX will radiate off you and fill the roo.room.. I made the mistake of spraying a good i sprays on myself when I first got it and not only choked myself out but also my coworkers. Not a scent for the office. It leans masculine imo but in the best way possible.

I am a vanilla fanatic, and coconut addict, especially during summer, more used to juicy tropical coconuts, but this? It’s dry coconut, powdery coconut, so surprising and so different from my usual. It’s divine and lasts FOREVER. Sure you can wear it when temperatures start to drop, but on hot skin? Woof. Yummy.

Mature wearers only.... Layered with a sweet gourmand like Rebel Layer or Vanilla Powder Extrait, it becomes a scent that lingers, hugs, and quietly fills the space around you. This isn't a sugary vanilla. It's a refined, powdery vanilla with presence, patience, and confidence. A little goes a long way.

Idk what everyone is smoking this is pretty great. Its a dry coconut sugary scent with some hits of vanilla. Reading some of these reviews i was afraid but i was pleasently surprised how good this was. Definitely try it out if you can get your hands on it. (Im a guy btw and i think this can be unisex)

I have to agree with below comments Got this for Christmas and it is has no staying power, compared to before, I don’t know if they have a bad batch or they have changed the formular, but it is not a strong scent as it used to be. Still lovely and beautiful but no lasting power on skin or clothes

Fluffy vanilla, coconut, and a little dry cuz of heliotrope. Not a wow factor perfume, but smells lovely, like a vanilla blanket over you. Very nice longevity, sillage and projection, tried to wash it off but won't come off literally lol. Enjoy this fragrance, very nice piece to have.

Stunning, delicious, smells high end. I already own and frequently wear Fursan White which I find to be almost identical at a fraction of the price, so I’ll stick with FW. but if there was not such a killer dupe in my collection already, I would need to own this.

The best way to describe this scent, is as soft. Like being wrapped in a warm blanket on a rainy day outside. Sensational. The musk notes are extremely prominent to me, and they help add depth to what could have potentially been a very boring fragrance.

It is coconut & baby powder. Nothing much to say. It is more of a creamy & powdery type of scent, although the name of the fragrance says opposite. nothing sweet here. Even if i am into gourmand scents, I AM IN LOVE with THIS♥️ Performance is beastly!

This is a warm, soft fragrance with staying power (I could smell it on my skin 13 hours later). The vanilla note is interesting; not vanilla ice-cream but more vanilla sorbet. There but not predominant. A winter signature fragrance, for sure.

super yummy coconut vanilla. on my skin it dries down a little powdery in the best way possible. last FOREVER, like 10+ hours and can even smell it a little after a shower.. super good just not for every occasion :,)

I loooooove this scent. It’s simply gorgeous. It was hyped for a reason: it’s good 😍 The hate is too forced with this one. I must admit I like to layer it with Tonka hysteria. Heaven 😍

Get Queen of Arabia instead! Smells the same, same projection and longevity. Once my bottle of the OG finishes, I’m keeping only Queen of Arabia - is that good.

if you overspray this you could kill someone nearby myself included, as i have allergies, but at least i'd smell really fucking good
