Le Secret d'Arielle Eau de Parfum

I am a man who owns this perfume is this is my review based on my experience with it. I decided to buy it for one simple reason. The emotional reason was that Miss Arielle Dombasle was my first childhood crush (and still is) and I wanted to have something that got me somewhat close to her. It is not available in any retailers in Canada, so I had to buy it from a seller in the USA through Ubuy.ca and pay custom fees. My purchase was a total of CAD $100 which is some USD $60, for the smaller 50ml / 1.7 fl Oz bottle. It was worth every penny. The opening is quite deep, rich and strong. This is where the aldehydes and red berries are very noticeable, as well as a deep layer of lipsticky iris, everything masterfully assembled and of the best quality. The first association that came to mind was Chanel No.5. You need to give it at least 30 to 40 minutes after the initial sprays, for the perfume to start opening up and showing more facets. The dry down is where most of the magic happens, in my opinion. The initial blast gives way to the smoothest, yet deep rich rose, tuberose, and a touch of musk that gives it a slight soapy-clean note. At this point, the association with Chanel No.5 goes away, allowing to Le Secret d' Arielle to reveal its own personality. It is more crisp, spicier and brighter than Chanel No5, yet they're very similar in the heavy rose/iris notes. I honestly don't understand how people don't talk more about it, and how it is that there are barely any YouTube reviews on it.I might record one myself in my native tongue, Spanish. My final thoughts: I can't believe how such a gem of a perfume is sold for such affordable price, given the high quality of the materials and the fine French craftsmanship used in its creation. It is very delicate, refined, and majestic at the same time. Who can pull this up: I'd say women of any age, for special occasions, for romantic dates and for when they want to cause an impression. Specially because it projects loudly the first 2-3 hours. I have read some comments of people who say this might be an unisex perfume. In my opinion, it is not. This is 100% a feminine fragrance. I am happy with my purchase, maybe a little biased because I am a fan of Miss Arielle. I keep one bottle in my collection, and I bought another one for my mother. She adores it! she is close in age to Miss Arielle, so her perfume is right up her alley. 10/10 perfume in my opinion.

It's soooo goood :), it does resemble dolce vita a bit but it's more narcotic-boozy-flowery while dolce vita is more spicy-flowery, similar type of fume, I LOVE it :)

It's strange but I have impression I can feel in it almost clove spicy notes. And as for red berries, yes, but almost cherry notes. Please, be careful to NOT oversprey! Holds on me nicely: up to 5h, what is an achievement for parfum on my skin))). Projection is quite high, so be careful around sensitive people. Please be mindful using it on hot days. Can be overwhelming. Overall, great complexe parfum that need more people to talk about it! Grab it !

The secret of Arielle is that it does not always smell like amber. In warmer weather, it's a beautiful, bright, effervescent, vibrant iris, musk and aldehydes. Reminds me of the 90s Tiffany for women. Very elegant and mature. However, below 70F, the amber comes out. Very unique, almost unisex.

If i were Mauboussin and had a such an old, bold and exclusive jewelery bussines, I would hire one of the best perfumers and would pay a lot for him to create perfume, to represent the jewelery collection. But this? This smells somewhat not ready with lot of synthetic and disturbing ambroxan top note. Like the perfumer stopped his job, before finishing this... The top note does not melt with the heart of this perfume, the heart has potential to be a really got perfume, but the top note, holding for 4 hours, makes this to crab and headache maker. I should stop to test any Mauboussins, they don ́t do their job well. I sent it back.
