Mauboussin Lovely à la Folie

This is gorgeous lemon/white rose perfume. You can get it for a song thru discount houses. I definitely smell lemon and white roses. The fragrance doesn't last more than 3 hours, however, but it is so pretty, fresh and lemony that I just reapply. And reapply! So much classier than the celebrity perfumes, and also very natural smelling. Sometimes I wear Mauboussin Rose Pour Elle on one wrist and this Lovely on the other. But if I compared Rose Pour Elle with A La Folie and Lovely A La Folie, this Lovely is the best. It has been great fun wearing the three "rose" perfumes, but I do wish they lasted longer!

I like lemons a lot but often have a hard time with lemon notes in perfume; either they are too artificial, or in combination with floral or pine notes, they start to bring up bathroom deodorizer / floor cleaner / dishwashing detergent connotations. Thus, I was quite pleasantly surprised with this perfume, which is a pure, crisp, refreshing lemon zest. There's nothing much else to get in the way, but on a hot day this is ideal because it could never become stifling. Like it!

Just lovely, I don't usually much care for lemony notes, but this is so lovely and zesty but not sharp, must be the white flowers that just keep it pretty and fresh. I'm usually one to wear big fragrances and I adore the original Mauboussin, and while this isn't heavy in the same way, it does have some of that originality to it. Lovely summer evening perfume. I just love it.

This smells like Sicily in summer. Zesty lemon, soft rose, and a slightly spicy musk base are the main notes here. It’s delightful and cheery, something I wear when it’s warm out and I want a refreshing, uplifting scent.

This is likely not something I would normally blind buy based on the notes. I actually ordered thinking I was getting A La Folie. After noticing my mistake, I was horrified to see apple among the notes, but white rose had me hopeful. I don't have anything really lemony in my collection, and this is primarily a lemon musk. I get a little peek of the white rose note. I'd love for that to be flipped around into the main attraction here. I sense sharpness from the apple, but it doesn't ruin the scent even for an apple scent adverse gal like me. Very casual. Lemon shampoo. My 5 year old liked the bottle a lot. It's huge. A huge triangle. Does anyone feel like Maub goes out of their way to make difficult bottles?

Lovely A la Folie is a gorgeous citrus and woody perfume which is suitable for any season. It is quite synthetic smelling, much like Montale Soleil de Capri but I still enjoy it. It is a citrus perfume with "body". Some have made reference to cleaning sprays and I do agree but, it's definitely a perfume that I will enjoy. The longevity is good and I suspect that a citrus perfume needs a strong, synthetic base to stick around. EDIT: Very similar to D&G Light Blue Intense but not as strong.

for a start, my juice isn't pink. it has a slint vague hint of pink but you cant call it that. lovely a la folie opens with a zesty sparkling refreshing citrus with a touch of sweet rose and apple. settles into a musk and is a very pleasant scent.... for about 30 mins and poof... its gone. on my skin anyway. lucky i only bought a 30 ml bottle but it is cheap, however, i still like to be able to smell myself otherwise , for me, there's no point.

Citrus green tea rose... Stays close to the skin

Just passing through a perfume shop and looking for a special rosey summer scent,I saw this little pink mauboussin.since I love two other fragrances of this brand(rose pour elle and elixir)I picked this carelessly and sprayed it on my wrist..it opens lemony,very fresh and zest..I usually didn't like citrus notes but my moods have changed because of this hot days..I really enjoyed it's lemony freshness without being too sharp and just after couple of minutes when I sniffed my wrist I could detect a crispy fruity note,apple,which is one of my most beloved fruity notes,also a soft rosey scent started to bloom,differant from usual pink rose,the rosey note here is about white roses,which is softer,less sweet and more elegant,there was also a delicate sweetness added to opening's lemon juice Lovely is very simple but also very lovely,I also loved it's white musk clean dry down,it stayed on my skin for 3-4 hours with just a single spray and I believe is not bad for such a cool summery scent and I have no problem with re applying it during the day.I know I will go back and buy a bottle as soon as possible,it's almost cheap and of course not the special one I was looking for,but it's fresh,crisp,bright cleanness is what I mostly need during hot summer days.it's something in the vein of D&G light blue but I prefer this one as I don't like light blue's woody drydown and the light rose note of LALF adds a youthful sparkle I will edit after buying my own bottle and wearing it for a while

Fue una compra a ciegas basándome en las notas y en las reseñas ya que lo hice antes y me encontré con Versense que también es cítrico y me encanta. Desde el inicio no pude detectar el olor a manzana o rosa, ni los otros que se mencionan, solo alcohol y limón que en mi piel huele un poco más a naranja, a los pocos minutos aparece el musgo pero no dura mucho. En general, tiene poca proyección y durabilidad, lo bueno es que lo compré de oferta y de tamaño de 50 ml, no volvería a hacerlo.

the drydown of this perfume feels a little bit artificial, just a tiny hint remains in my nose. on the paper and the open is very good but THIS DOESN'T LAST ON ME, and i hate it for that. all i ask is to smell on my own clothes past 4 hours. my mom said she could smell it though. it is the same with light blue? i've read lots of comments and i don't know if to go right to light blue intense.
