Promise Me Flower

This is an absolute delight! Upon first spritz, the cassis takes centre stage, crisp and green but softened by the musk which is just about perceptible - and for this, all the more a pleasant note here. The magnolia is dancing around it, the flowery hint present but not overpowering. Here these two are waltzing around in perfect harmony, with the musk backing them suavely. It is a crystalline combo, fresh and cozy at the same, somewhat soft. It really works and the balance is truly surprising. And it's not your typical flowery, non descriptive scent. It's a very distinctive one, though it vaguely brings to mind another fragrance I wore many years ago. Cannot put my finger on it, so in any case this is really unique in its own right. I can see myself wearing this all spring and summer, and winter too when I need a reminder of what's to come with warmer, sunnier days. It makes me want to go somewhere up on a mountain in full spring, basking in the bright sun and green and flowery scents all around. Projection is 3 feet - impressive! And the bottle... sturdy and beautiful! I give this a full 8 and will run right now to buy a back up bottle. Well done Mauboussin, an underrated house deserving to be recognised.

I received this in a sample vial many years ago and fell in love with it- it smells expensive without the overpowering nature of some "expensive" perfumes that are overly sweet. It just smelled so luxurious. Good value, but I wish it was a little stronger and lasted a little longer because this shit is running out on me and it's only been less than 2 months- I don't even use it everyday. I wish the bottle was prettier, but gawd, the scent IS pretty. Bought a 40ml during my birthday month, cost around SGD 79. Pretty good value.

I received this as a birthday gift. Initially, I didn't really like the scent. But, since it was a gift, I've decided to give it a go. The opening very rosy floral and a little bit of freshness. Some what reminds me of Chloe EDP. Occasionally, I wear it to work. Two spritz and the scent lasts me the whole day. Too much, may cause headache or being overwhelmed with the scent. The sillage is also good. Not my favorite, not my go to, but it is not a bad perfume either. I believe that there's no perfume a bad perfume. It's either you love or hate it. If you love fresh floral (minus vanilla or patchouli or fruity scent), then you should give it a try.
