Affordable cheap fragrance but Designer smelling scent !! Before we speak about the scent, I feel like the quality of this Bottle and Box is amazing. It nice to hold and spray, the texture is soft and it feels so expensive even though it isn’t !!! The design is really minimalistic yet sophisticated ! It has such a nice quality and for such a low price point, it is wonderful. It feels like it is competing with designer fragrances on every level !!!! A clean musky scent who is complimented by the praline. It feels creamy, powdery and extremely clean. I ain't a huge fan of rose in my fragrances but I don't mind it if it's subtle or nicely blended, and it's the case with this EDP. It performs good for a perfume that was that cheap, got it for less than 40euros at a local store in France. It is a sweet and clean « gourmand » (I think that this praline is really sweet but don’t know if we can qualify it as a gourmand perfume) with musky roots, the freesia also helps on the creamyness with the praline. I wear it as an easy reach perfume, or when I am comfortably staying at home with a latte machiatto and some jazz on the home sound system. It feels designer to me, high quality even if Mauboussin isn't my favourite brand in perfume history, considering that "A La Folie" is too synthetic and sweet in the wrong way. The champagne note and the synthetic caramel causes me nausea. Une Histoire De Femme Sensuelle is the one and only fragrance from this brand that i adore. It is really sensual and clean I love love love it ! I get some strong alcohol in the opening (lasts around 5 to 10 minutes) but when the perfume dries down, get ready to smell super duper clean and sweet with the white musk and praline enveloping your smell in the nicest way possible. The rose helps the clean facet of the fragrance as well as the musk, and the « gourmand » sweet and creamy notes are given by the praline and the freesia. I JUST LOVE IT. And you should love it too if u adore your clean, musky, sweet, lactonic and a bit floral and mostly sensual scents !!! Easily a perfume that is relevant enough to be an everyday, signature scent. Perfect perfume, I give it a 9.5/10

First review. :) So this one was a blind buy. Definitely not disappointed. I was, however (likely based on the design of the bottle) imagining a powdery-er scent, fresher, I suppose. Something airy and refreshing. Probably also because of a few comments mentioning Nivea, which also has a similar bottle.. round and white, similar enough! On a somewhat different note, my order came in a few days ago while terribly sick, so I was really sad because couldn’t smell anything from a couple sprays lol. But now that my senses are almost fully functional again, I was taken aback by the first whiff I got. At first, it reminded me a lot of a Dove floral beauty bar. Again, the soaps. I blame it on the Nivea talk. But after a few seconds, I feel like it’s anything but “soapy”. I do not feel that “cool”, fresh quality I’d imagined, but rather something sweet, and floral, almost akin to frankincense. Really giving frankincense for me, for whatever reason. Floral, slightly musky, sweet, incense; elegant and mature. Also lasts pretty well! All in all, I 100% recommend giving it a try if that kind of scent sounds interesting to you. Not to mention the price!! I got it for about $25, which just by scent alone I think I would have thought it cost way more... that is, if I wasn’t the one who bought it LOL.

I managed to get a bottle of this during a winter sale and figured I can safely blind buy it and if I don't like it, I could gift it to my mom or a friend since the rose note had me on the fence. When I first got it, the smell of luxury cream hit me straight and after letting it settle to a somewhat normal temperature, the rose started to bloom. The smell is that of rose-infused pralines left on clean sheets. The freesia comes through as a suble note along with the more dominant musk, which is not skanky in any way, but clean and fluffy. Lately I found that I like wearing this to bed since it's such a comforting smell. Not sure if it's office appropriate since after I spray it, I do go nose-blind to it quite fast, but on clothes it lasts for 10 hours + (or at least that's what my boyfriend complains about lol) I would dare say it's in the family of Ariana Grande's Cloud, or at least that's how I perceive it, although I must admit I've never quite smelled anything other than the fluffyness of Cloud which everybody says is in the MFK BR540 vein. Note: By the above I am not comparing HdFS with BR540, they have nothing in common as far as I'm concerned.

This is creamy and sweet with light powdery florals and an inviting white musk. It's the smell of warm skin after the day's sunscreen has almost completely faded. You're smoothing on a luxurious layer of body lotion before sliding into silk sheets. "Sensuelle" indeed, but in a drowsy kind of way. I wouldn't have guessed praline as one of the notes at first, but (perhaps through the power of suggestion) I now detect a very subtle saltiness - a delicate sliver of sugared almond that helps to ground the airy notes and keep everything delicious, though not quite edible. The nuttiness anchors the fragrance, but graciously shares the spotlight with the lactonic notes - like a comforting glass of almond milk before bed, ready to smooth your passage into dreams. The opening does share some similarities with Lorenzo Villoresi's "Teint de Neige", but TdN remains more powdery and floral throughout its life. The drydown states of these two are quite different, with Sensuelle touching on the gourmand side (though not quite leaping into foody territory). I am happy to have both. :)

Sweet and comforting scent sharing similar elements to Roses Vanille by Mancera and Iris by L'Erbolario. It's like something inbetween these two perfumes. Very nice. The opening is what I would describe as "sparklingly sweet", but soon enough after that it goes powdery and a little bit creamy, quite lotion-like, with rose, vanilla and musk being the most noticeable to my nose. I'm yet to test its longevity and performance properly, but as for the scent itself, it's really powdery and "sensuelle", really pretty. If you like this type of perfumes, this can be a nice addition to your collection of powdery perfumes. Also, I can easily imagine this as a bedtime scent, just like the comments below implied. Suitable for a day, suitable for a night. :) I wanted to try this fragrance for a long time, but it was sold out everywhere in my country. I'm glad Notino has it back in stock. UPDATE: the longevity and sillage are quite good, I didn't really expect that. :) it stays on significant amount of time even after shower. :P

So this one has almost an identical dry down as L'erbolario Iris. It is not as potent and brute and long lasting as Iris, it seems another dimension of the same strong powdery scent. But I really like it It is more candy-like, more light and more creamy than Iris. I don't feel praline, I feel fruit candies + some shy rose + powder + body lotion. The scent is very well blended, very very pleasant. And yes, it resembles the NIVEA creme also. In the beginning and middle of the wear - it is kind of the same scent + the candies and some florals (I personally do feel the rose). In the dry down it resembles very much IRIS. For me is very elegant and yummy. It lasts about 8 hours on my skin and it is definitely more wearable than Iris which for me has a too strong and sickening powder.

Smooth, creamy, soft to a fault... another gem hidden behind a tacky name! Smells like cream. A milky, luxurious body cream, fluffy and rich. Smells like cuddles. Smells like a peaceful treat (or retreat!). The bottle somehow matches the scent: stark white but rounded, solid but velvety smooth. I just want to spray this and cuddle up under the duvet. Or spray it over a matching white shirt and go out while still feeling cuddled up under the duvet, because that's what this scent evokes me. Rose + praline to me equals gourmand gone wrong. Not here! The praline is buttery, the rose is powdery and bright. I also detect a powerful iris note that blends it all together along with the musks. Bye, I'm heading toward the duvet...

This cheapie competes with my all time favorite scent, Musk Therapy. I’m a sucker for a delicate, soft musk, and it gives me a quiet kind of confidence whenever I wear it. This one takes that profile in a gourmand direction: creamy, lactonic, and light on the powderiness. That’s where I draw the parallels to Musk Therapy. Neither of these scents feels powdery to me; instead, they share a creamy smoothness with a subtle soapy undertone. In this case, the lactonic quality really makes it shine in cooler weather and appeals to gourmand lovers like myself. It’s an easy blind buy if you enjoy this style of fragrance, and no, it does not smell like Nivea cream.

Hoooooooly hell, is this freaking gorgeous! This is one of those comforting fresh out of the bath fragrances that feels like a true second skin. You’ve used wonderful expensive products on your hair and body, and you just smell GOOD. I’ll wear this when I want to feel like a literal cool girl that doesn’t sweat, but glistens. Or maybe like one of those Vampires in Twilight that sparkle in the sun. I may be on a bit of a musk bender. And this is a beauty! A true you but better, it doesn’t demand a made-up look to wear. I want to wear this in a lilac colored toga with nothing else, it definitely delivers on it’s namesake- Femme Sensuelle. Ooh-La-La!

Similar to gulf orchids tahara vanilla but this is much much better! I’ve had to find it preloved on Mercari because it is not something I’m able to find anywhere else! I have 5 other Mauboussin perfumes and i wanted to try this one. Blind buy and i like it so much i found and bought a second preloved bottle, very cheap While tahara vanilla smells mostly like baby powder, i get very little sweetness or vanilla, this one is also very much a baby powder scent but it is sweeter and more interesting which is why i prefer it But both are primarily clean powdery great for after a shower or before bed time scents.

Lotion-like and rosy, semi-fresh because of slightly green freesia, very clean musk. Very, very light on the praline, luckily. Such a nice, powdery, comfy, huggable scent. Same category as Montblanc Signature and some of the lighter Narcisos. Beautiful. Addictive, really. Perfect to layer with Jovan White Musk. Edit: Oh, now I am getting praline! But not sticky and too sweet. How strange that praline can help in making such a soft, clean scent. I am in love with this one. Edit: This fragrance is honestly absolutely gorgeous. What a find! Guys, run and get this! Absurdly good for its price.

Blind bought it in 2021 and really did not like it at first. The only thing I could smell was a Nivea cream that comes in a round tin box. You know that one. It grew on me since then. Soft powdery sweet rose, delicate. LONG lasting! Not sure about proline note. Just a sweet powder with a touch of rose somewhere there. Got many compliments wearing it in 86F and humidity. I can’t believe it is a cheapie (that does not smell cheap) with a great longevity and a very likable profile. If you like powdery fragrances definitely try it. Thinking of buying a backup bottle :) I really enjoy it!

sweet, powdery musk with a hint of rose. this is such a classy scent; fresh and clean but still sweet with a bit of warmth. smells like a clean, put-together woman. the musk is most prominent on me, its sharpness tempered by the praline. lasts a good long while on clothes, a little less on my skin, but long enough that I'm not complaining about it. very, very easy dumb reach, and one of the few scents in my collection I think is wearable in all seasons. not to mention it's a cheapie! honestly one of my favorite freshies of all time & worth a blind buy.

Une Histoire de Femme Sensuelle is a rose marzipan powder bomb. It's an enveloping and lightly sweet lactonic beautiful cloud of comfort. The bottle is solid and fits nicely in the hand. The cap is secure and the mark on the front reminds me of a dove in flight. I'm astounded at the current price this can be found for online. I've kept it at my desk to smell even when I've chosen something else that day. By all accounts it should be overwhelming and too sweet but it just isn't, and like reviewers below indicated, it's very wearable.

Oh. My. God. Imagine in the best possible way nivea-ish cream with cinnamon undertone. And that’s it. Projection is amazing. I don’t think it changes a lot with the time but the way it feels around your body is so comfy and intoxicating. It’s like almost touchable pure white, perfectly fresh, fluffy sheets in your ventilated bedroom after hard day. The autumn darkness is coming and you can feel the scent of the cinnamon buns just baked in your warm kitchen. You feel calm and safe. I would recommend it as a blind buy.

Lotion, creamy, nutty, cocooning lotion. So good. Lasts forever on my clothing. I am wearing Une Histoire De Femme Sensuelle in 60F, low humidity weather. I only needed one spray from the generous atomizer. The perfume is as silky and creamy as the white bottle portrays. Just gorgeous. Great lasting power. Does not project much but wafts at me all day and night. Still smelling it very strongly on my sweater after 24 hours. I get a bit of hypnotic poison vibes also. Sweet, milky, opaque, slightly spicy musk.

There is something intimate and sensual about this fragrance. It would be fantastic if it was a bit more powerful in terms of sillage, in my opinion. Very softcore sensual and delicious. It makes you bury your nose in skin where you sprayed it. I might be generous but this is 10/10 for me. I sometimes layer this with This Is Her by Zadig and Voltaire and it's such a good conjunction of notes, pralines, whipped cream and chestnut!

Blind buy success story. This is beautifully blended sweet musk baby lotion perfume. It's so lovely. I was in a clothing shop today and not one but TWO random women stopped me to compliment my perfume and ask if I would tell them the name. It's one of those perfumes you literally have to spell the name out. Longevity is amazing sillage is clearly strong enough for someone to smell as i walked by

I blind bought it. I don't smell sweet or praline. I smell the old blue tin of Nivea. So if you enjoy that, might be your cup of tea. A bit too alcoholic in the opening but once it is dry down, you smell clean and creamy. I kind of like it, but I feel like it doesn't smell very particular. Safe fragrance to use daily to work. I haven't tested yet the longevity. 😊✌️

This smells very similar to Bond No 9 Broadway Nite, but Broadway radiates like an atombomb, Mauboussin..Sensuelle is more wearable, because softer. But indeed actually the same scent and really yummie! Suitable also for a day. The powdery portion is so delicious, a new gem has been found!! It was a blind buy and got heavens I did it.
