Green Apple

This one and Shulton's Wild Meadow (anyone else remember that gem as fondly as I do?), along with Love's Rain Scent were the three fragrances I remember wearing and loving as a young teen in the 70s (so I'm dating myself... sigh...). Don't know if it would be a "love" were I to smell it again today, but the bright green juice in that adorable bottle didn't in any way resemble the sickly-sweet candy-apple scents that proliferate the current market. Green Apple was literally the scent of a tart Granny Smith with a bite out sitting next to a tumbler of lily of the valleys fresh-picked from the shady corner of the garden.

I had this in the 70s. Couldn't remember which one it was but just searching online, found this. Definitely the one I had. Still think about it even though now I don't particularly like "fruity" perfumes, at all. I loved this and for a long time it was my favourite. If I ever see it at a price I can afford, will get it again. I collected perfumes in the 70s - was a teenager so am talking cheap ones from the village chemist or Boots in town... and of all of them this was my favourite or second favourite. There was a shampoo (not Max Factor) that had a very similar scent I seem to remember, and I'd use that when wearing this so it didn't clash. Loved it. Wish I could give some more specific information than that - but it has such nostalgia factor, even seeing a picture of the bottle and packaging!

I had this one also in high school. It looked so cute on my dresser. I had almost forgotten it. In my memory, it smelt better than most of the current "apple" fragrances. I wish someone would re-release it; but they might get the pleasant formula confused. Still, that cute little apple; only Avon in my memory had such cute flacons for their perfumes; but they don't seem to make them anymore either. I still say "cute" would be wonderful for a stress-out world.

Oh my word! I found a bottle of this, half used, in my great grandmother's dresser after she died. I had no idea what it was until just now. Thanks Fragrantica!

Had this in junior high. Smells just like a juicy, green, Granny Smith apple! How I wish I could afford the prices people are asking for this 70's gem!
