Mazaj is launching with three fragrances inspired by cities around the world: Seoul, Istanbul, and Florence. Rather than focusing on postcard imagery, the brand tries to capture the emotional atmosphere people quietly live in every day — the cafés, the late-night walks, the sunlight entering old apartments, the feeling of fabric, skin, wood, and memory lingering in the air. And today, we’re diving into Florence. From the very first spray, there’s something incredibly gentle and comforting here. The bergamot and pear bring a smooth luminosity, while the orange blossom feels airy and delicate, almost like warm sunlight touching pale stone walls somewhere in an old Italian street. The orris gives Florence this elegant powdery texture that feels refined without ever leaning too vintage or makeup-like, while the sage keeps everything calm and grounded. As Florence slowly settles onto the skin, the cashmere wood and tonka bean create this creamy, sun-warmed softness that feels almost tactile... like warm fabric absorbing the last light of the day. Everything melts together beautifully. What I really love is the contrast between the fresh airy opening and the warmth underneath it all. Honestly, I think that duality is exactly what inspired me to take these pictures inside the water. There’s something fresh, luminous, and fluid about Florence... but at the same time, it still feels soft, comforting, and intimate. If you’re not familiar with Mazaj yet, this is genuinely a house I think is worth discovering — especially if you love fragrances that tell stories through atmosphere and emotion rather than excess or shock value. 8/10
