Peche Cardinal

One of the best fruity floral perfumes I've seen so far. It exudes a sense of luxuriousness, class and hilarity at the same time. Peach, tuberose and coconut are represented in a very natural-smelling way. They're blended masterfully together without the annoying or headache-inducing aspects of tuberose and or coconut as seen in some other perfumes. Plum, blackberry and black currant intensify the juicy, lush and delicious fruity aspect of the perfume behind the peach note and artemisia and cedar take the perfume away from getting too much heavy or nauseating. All in all, it's one of the bes in its own category and I highly recommend you to test it, even if you think that peach/tuberose combo isn't your cup of tea. یکی از بهترین عطرهای میوه ای گلی که تا کنون تست کردم همین کار بوده. عطری که حس اشرافی لوکس و فرح و شکوه ازش میباره. من بشخصه ذهنیت خییییلی مثبتی از ترکیب گل مریم و هلو در عطرها نداشتم چون موارد متعددی در این سبک دیده بودم که یا حالت مصنوعی شدیدی داشتند و یا بسیار سنگین و سردرد آور بودند. اما گل مریم و هلو بهمراه نارگیل گرم و مخملی در این عطر بطرز فوق العاده زیبا و طبیعی در کنار هم جفت و جور شده اند. انگور فرنگی و توت سیاه پشت سر هلو کارشون اینه که حالت آبدار و جذاب میوه ای کار رو افزایش بدن و از اونطرف سدر و درمنه مانع از این میشن که شیرینی و گرمای عطر از حالت تعادل خارج بشه. تست این عطر رو به همۀ دوستان پیشنهاد می کنم حتی اگر فکر می کنید این سبک کارها و ترکیب هلو/مریم باب طبع شما نیست.

I adore this fragrance. A peachy tuberose that lingers and lingers and lingers. I sprayed this on one afternoon and could still smell it on my skin the morning after. I am a man (39) and I think it's a bit of a shame how this seems to be labeled as "for women". It's a niche fragrance and even though it might be a bit feminine leaning (whatever that means), it is just a beautiful composition. The peach scent here is that of peach skin, ripe peach skin, like what you smell when you pass by a grocery shop in the sun and you can smell their ripeness calling out to you. It is a delightful scent, subtle, juicy and succulent but never sickeningly sweet. The bottle with its extended rim is a nice tactile experience, the atomizer is good but the packaging is a bit generic. I was looking for a peach-centered fragrance for the summer and this just stood out to me. As always, be sure to try before you buy. Perfect perfume to wear whilst listening to Laura Veirs' brilliant album "July Flame" (the title refers to a type of peach), watching and reading "Call Me By Your Name" and becoming inspired to do a baked peach dessert with custard. The essence of my idea of summer in a bottle.

This is in my top 5 out of 200 or so frags, the peach and plum are ripe and delicious smelling while the tuberose/coconut blends flawlessly. This is one that people always notice and compliment- especially my fiance. I am not usually a fan of tuberose, but in this it is very well done and I will make an exception for it. The bottle is expensive, but the juice is of high quality so it is concentrated and lasts a long time. I have had mine a long time and have barely made a dent in it, I dont think I will ever use a whole FB. The packaging with the marble head is expensive and excessive in my book, but I will not tell anyone how to spend their money. This smells like a dripping peach alongside a sun ripened plum, coconut with liquor, and the berries are an afterthought and not overpowering at all... All without smelling at all synthetic. For those of you who love this but the price is too steep or you are looking for a strong, much less expensive peach/plum combo I would suggest Miss Marissa by Ebba at luckyscent.

The best tuberose-peach-coconut blend out there! I have also tried Molinard Tubereuse Vertigineuse and Bois 1920 Sensual Tuberose, which have similar notes lists, but they can't hold a candle to Peche Cardinal. I really get the peach and blackberry, especially in the opening. They're a nice contrast to the more powdery, classic tuberose that is the star of the show throughout the life of the perfume. An additional bubbly, clean top note, almost like aldehydes, enhances the effect. The base is full of coconut and sandalwood, which both have dry and woody facets on one hand, but a delicious milkiness on the other. They emphasize the creaminess of the tuberose, but also somehow tame it at the same time. All in all it's just very beautiful and well-blended. You have to enjoy classic tuberoses to like this, it has a distant relation to Fracas, but due to the intense fruity notes it also has a modern side. Definitely a scent that stands out in the sea of other tuberoses.

This one took some work on my part. For the longest time I could not get past the plasticky veil of Peche Cardinal and carefully worked through my sample over several months whenever I could brave it. The trick that finally helped me was to spray the amount of the perfume that I normaly would and the way I normaly do it. Then it fell into place and melted into the skin, ah! Tender peaches on a creamy soft musc, other notes are much less prominent on me. Charming and airy, pretty irresistable for me. Suits better for a leasure day as it is calming and relaxing. Sillage is about an arms length. I'd say this is one of a kind in my no so small collection, so I invited a bottle. Unfortunately the lovely cap with a porcelane bust was not available, so there is a boring golden cap. The juice is golden nevertheless.

This is one bold fruity floral--and I love it! Peach and tuberose are the main players here with coconut, other fruity nuances and woods providing the backdrop. Peach is a tricky note in perfumery often veering either artificial and sickly sweet or soapy/shampoo-y. The peach in Peche Cardinal is so well executed, it should be the peach by which all others are judged. It is ripe, juicy, realistic and bolstered by the diva white flower, tuberose. This is a bombshell, ultra-femme fragrance not for the faint of heart. If you like the peach/osmanthus and white floral pairing in Wild Python and Good Girl Gone Bad, this one is definitely worth a try! Contrary to other reviews, I don’t get any similar associations with Fracas except that tuberose (in name) is used. The treatment is totally different imo.

It's impressive how this composition evolved on my skin. The opening was indeed a joyful peach, then I smelled like candy (don't care for candy, overly sweet) but when the dry down gradually developed, it was wow.. after wow... after wow... from 8:00 to 20:00 it kept softening. My question is, if a person wants and expects longevity, it's not easy to find. Learning how to apply and giving a fragrance its own time to evolve on skin is also part of how we can enjoy it. I would never complain about a perfume being too strong (as my issue with most is that they don't stay, not even on clothes). I appreciate the development and longevity of this one particularly. The candy part left space for an intense dry down. Maybe not a blind buy.

Ok so I've had this for several years and just saw that I've never reviewed it. Not that I really need to as the reviews here already cover most of what I could possibly say about this fragrance. I just want to add this, each time I've worn it must have been in cool or cold weather, and I loved it. Today I'm wearing it in the middle of a hot sticky summer wave and the tuberose is knocking the other notes out of the playing field.,,,it's bordering on cloying, really. I've never felt this before, so much white floral headiness. It was always such a beautiful peach centred frag on my skin and I barely felt the tuberose, but now it's annoying me. Back to deep dark drawers it goes until summer is over.

Peche Cardinal MDCI Parfums One of the best peach fragrances ever! The peach opening is so beautiful and real - never seen amongst other fragrances! The good thing is it is not very sweet. There is also some coconut around, bringing a milky accord. I love it. The base is composed by tuberose. The good part is that tuberose here doesn't feel like the other white flower scents we can find elsewhere. The Tuberose here is a little bit translucent and slightly dirty. That's why I don't think it is strictly feminine. A man could wear it naturally. Drydow is musky, slightly powdery and woody... a balanced creamy sandalwood Lovely creation! Probably a full bottle in the future! :)

First the name: "Péché cardinal" in French translates in English to "cardinal sin," so naming this fragrance "Pêche Cardinal" is meant as a pun. It has an enormous peachy opening that is less like the more usual harmonious peach in fragrances like Mitsuoko and more of a big jammy sweet peach, with coconut and black currant behind it. Although others below complain that it smells synthetic, this does not smell that way at all to me, and seems very natural and beautiful, with tuberose and musk backing up the fruit smells. This did not last long on me before it became a skin scent, which would be my biggest complaint. But the opening of this is absolutely glorious.

This is a soft white peach, beautifully blended with coconut and tuberose. White flowers and peach is a winning combination, somehow both youthful and agelessly elegant. I don't smell any berries or sandlewood. As you can see from my handle, Im obsessed with peach perfumes, and have worn literally dozens of varieties ever since my long-lost teenage years. Peche is one of the best, although painfully fleeting. It only lasts for about 2 hours (or 4 hours if I layer it with a base of Bath & Body works peach lotion, although this basterdizes/alters the scent, so is not a perfect solution).

I picture a beautiful woman in a long flowing dress swinging in a giant swing by the ocean watching the sunset waiting for her lover. Peche Cardinal is intimate and sits very close to the skin. On the opening, I smell creamy, powdery peaches, tuberose, blackberries and plums. The drydown is beautiful; a perfectly balanced powdery peachy, tuberose with a hint of musk. I find myself smelling my wrist all day. I bought a tester, but will be buying a full bottle asap as I very much love this very sensual perfume! Longevity 5/10 Sillage 4/10 Projection 4/10

this is one wonderful peach/tuberose. I have had it for sometime and have worn it through four seasons. I think it is the best in springtime. There is something about a spring breeze that brings out the best in this frag. It starts out really peachy with a pronounced tuberose. The other fruit play a supporting role and just blend in. In the spring I do get a little of the coconut that I don't get in the summer. On me it is pretty much the same from start to finish. highly recommend but use a delicate hand to much sprayed on ruins it.

Oh my god, I love this one: on paper or in the bottle it smells overly sweet, but put it on and the sweetness just feels like a fresh batch of fruits. Nothing overripe, nothing overly sugary, just perfect fruity smell. And then the florals start kicking in, and it gets bit by bit more floral, but the sweet peach smell is there the whole way. There is absolutely nothing immature about this scent either. In love with it since I put it on my wrist. Definitely going to get a bottle of this.

Its a heavenly fragrance! It does not smell like COCO or Opium not in the least bit. Some ppl exagerrate and maybe it was another sample that got confused with this tasteful fruity peach and exquisite decandant. I went to one of the scent bar's in Beverley Hills and the aroma is perfect for a first class lady. Only for those who prefer first class and attention. The deacons at West Angeles were asking around who is wearing that fragrance so they can get the same for their wives. lol

I would describe this fragrance as beautiful and feminine. First spray I get a soft, creamy, peach with a light coconut note in the background. It has a sightly tropical opening. The peach note in here remains throughout the entire duration of this fragrance. When it starts to dry down it develops into a creamy, tuberose with peach. Very feminine, sexy and beautiful. Longevity and projection is wonderful. My boyfriends favourite scent on me.

This is my favorite peach or really any stone fruit note in a fragrance. It stays just on the right side of a peach candy, but far away from the pit smell of something like Peau de Peche. The tuberose comes through very well, although I don't get much coconut. It's not particularly complex, but it's a fragrance for a sunny day. Wildly expensive :( Approximately 8 hours longevity on the girlfriend. Scent: 9/10 Overall: 8/10

Delicious fresh peach, a slight tang brought by the berries, the white flowers are present but not overpowering, not at all indolic and very tolerable for those who might usually be turned off by that. The coconut note is just present enough to bring it some roundness and creaminess, but it isn’t sweet at all. The musk and sandalwood notes brings such warmth to the skin, it's very enticing. Very feminine, fresh and fruity.

OMG! This is gorgeous, juicy, succulent, fuzzy perfect peach! I adore it, so natural, I want to eat my arm..haha. I can pick the tuberose too, it blends seamlessly, like the magic ingredient to make it "Wow" . The only problem is the price, Too expensive! So what would be.n equivalent, not many peche perfumes are long lasting, most can be synthetic. For now samples will do! Highly recommend for peach lovers to try this!

At first I thought this wasn't for me. The peach and tuberose combo came off kind of mature and dated. I was intrigued though, and now 20 minutes later it has mellowed and sweetened and I really like it. It's very soft, a little creamy, really makes a peachy color and sunshine pop into my head. It's a little retro and ethereal. Reminds me of the movie The Virgin Suicides. This is what their hair would've smelled like.

This is such a beautiful perfume. The peach reminds me of a rich and smooth cognac. The peach note in many other perfumes gives a room spray trait which ruins the entire formula. The coconut and lily marry together perfectly. It reminds me of Lalique by Lalique. This is full bottle worthy.

This stuff is amazing! Lush and intoxicating, could this be a fruity version of Love Tuberose-peaches and white floral heaven? Everything about this fragrance is complete perfection except for its price. But I have not found a dupe for Peche Cardinal yet. Rating: 🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒 Cruelty free 🐾

A perfectly ripe peach scent with a spicy edge. It opens up with sweet peach and coconut. The sweetness soon is taken over by a lot of corianders. After 20 minutes, it starts to settle on the skin. Eventually it becomes a smooth and silky blend of fruits and herbs, very feminine.

Smells clean and fresh, a little bit like peach shampoo, a bit like laundry softener on fluffy towels. Very intimate skin scent. Sophisticated and feminine. I personally would love for it to have monster projection and silage but this is one of the softest fragrances out there.

This is the best peach fragrance. It opens with juicy peach flesh and transitions to a tuberose with some grapey/plummy components. It lasts 8-10 hours on me with mild to moderate projection. I absolutely love it.

MDCI perfumes are pretty hit or miss for me. This is a complete win! It smells like perfumed peaches (niether hyper-realistic or fake), but with a great twist. One that gets better the more I smell it.

The most natural fuzzy peach I’ve found. You have to like peach. I don’t detect a ton of tuberose, but then again I love white flowers so maybe just doesn’t come off as harsh to me.

When I was in LA at the airport, many people asked what was that amazing smell. It smells like georgia peaches. Its very sweet and delightful similar to Kilian Good Girls Gone Bad!

When I smelled this in store, all I could think was "masterpiece".

I've read that Péché Cardinal refers to Original Sin; the inherent sinfullness of all humankind, passed down from the first ones, who after some deliberation, elected to snag a particular forbidden fruit....talk about a generational curse. Was it an apple? Perhaps it was a peach? If I were naked in the paradise of Eden...the earth in full boom, the sky perpetually blue and full of fluffy clouds, the breeze filled with the gentle warmth of the sun and gently lapping at my ageless, perfectly flawless, supple skin.....this is what I would smell like. There is peach, yes, but it's not the sharp/tart, cloyingly sweet, juicy flesh....it's the soft and fuzzy skin that eminates a musky aura of the delicate beauty beneath. It's soft spoken but central, shouldered by warm creamy Sandalwood, and a slightly lactonic coconut that doesn't fully commit to being beachy. My nose reads it as more of a coco-butter. The flowers and berries here do not compete with their counterparts, instead they amalgamate and fuse together to support this almost ambery fragrance with insinuations of sweetness and hints of freshness. For me this is a skin scent with a little english on it. Perfect for sunny warm weather, or if you need to defrost a bit on colder days. It's unisex as far as I'm concerned, but leans femme. I have far more sinful fragrances than this one, but if I had to personify what it smelled like to commit my first crime as an innocent babe...this would do. 8/10 Also...if it's peach you're looking for but this isn't the one: Taskeen Peach; Paris Corner (budget friendly, for those who enjoy the sweet peach-ring candy; a synthetic peach vibe, it's a beast) Nectarine Blossom and Honey; Jo Malone (clean-girl, fresh/aquatic, subtle/young peach fruit, not too sweet! It's a cologne though, so it won't hang around long) Elixir of Aphrodite; Alkemia (indie house, succulent peaches soaked in viscous honey, ambery, sweet, sexy/sultry, gourmond. The perfume oil formulation is too die for.) Golden Dawn; Siren Song Elixirs (indie house; a true-to-life, tart, juicy yellow peach that's been plucked from the tree with a verdant leaf still attached, vibrant and alive....my all-time favorite peach fragrance.)

I've gotten out of the habit of regularly reviewing my samples, mostly because I've been so busy at work. But I keep meaning to get back to it, and I still can't let go of a sample (or add it to my "permanent collection") without reviewing it... all of which has led me to wear my new, long-awaited little decant of Peche Cardinal quite often, off and on, since I received it this summer (every time meaning to review it that day, and every time finding something more pressing to do). But this prolonged testing has turned out to be a good thing, in the end, and it's made me realize more thoroughly that a day or two of wearing a sample really isn't enough to give it a fair chance: at first I didn't like it at all, but as the weather finally cooled down to something near normal temperatures these last few weeks, it's really grown on me. While the weather was warm (and it's been so warm for so much of the time this year), I thought it was way too heavy and way too sweet, just too much of everything, almost suffocating. That peach is really sticky, and that tuberose has all the subtlety of a bulldozer - I thought it was tobacco at first! I found it overwhelming, almost headachy. But now that it's cooler, and now that I've learned that a little goes a very long way with this one (a real advantage, by the way, with a price like this), I realize I do like it. It's warm and comforting but, if worn at the right time and in the right (modest) amount, not too much. I know this sounds lukewarm, and indeed I think I'll probably never finish that decant, much less spring for an expensive full bottle, but I have to say I've really enjoyed this bold, oldfashioned, mature cold-weather spin on the fruity/floral concept these last few weeks. I'll keep it around for if I ever get a craving for peach in the colder seasons... As for my insights about testing samples, on balance I guess I still want to go back to testing more frequently, even if it means testing less thoroughly. I'm sure I'm missing a lot of nuance this way, which is really a shame, but there's just so many scents, so little time...

I test wore this in order to evaluate it as a potential gift to lady friends. It is a very nice peach-dominant scent with supporting fruitiness from the black currant, black berry and plum, white florals, and a nice lactonic creaminess from the coconut. Overall a creamy Fruity Floral. The peach, especially in the opening, is turned up to 11 O'clock. It leaves no doubt that this is a peach scent with an exclamation point! I don't think Id agree with a review below that says the peach is "subtle", and takes on nuances of a real natural peach skin. Its strong and is more like an abstraction of the pulp in some peach dessert. Although it settles through the drydown, the peach remains dominant. Peach for me is perhaps the most feminine of the fruit notes, so that and the white florals blasts Peche Cardinal firmly into the feminine orbit. From MDCI, in my collection, I have Invasion Barbare, Chypre Palatin, Ambre Topkapi, and Bleu Satin. All masculine or masculine-leaning, with the possible exception of Chypre Palatin. Peche Cardinal upholds the MDCI standard of material quality and quality of scent profile. Its very nice and I'll recommend it to my lady friends.

Cardinal Sin is the name of this fragrance when translated to English. Which one I don't know, and it is not specified in the description. Most likely it is the embodiment of them all. This review might come off ignorant because I am not familiar with this brand very much at all. This was a free sample given to me by LUCKYSCENT. Thank you by the way! I admit the opening of this fragrance does smell like shampoo. Similar to a shampoo from the early 90s I used to use quite often. There is nothing wrong with that, but it is not luxurious smelling. Eventually transitions into a tuberose. Completely different from the top. To be honest, I'm not impressed by either. I do like the softness of it all. I do like how this fruit is fresh rather than sweet or jam. And I do like the bottle design. That's pretty much it. It's OK. There's not much more to add.

A very beautiful heavily based tuberose scent which initially is strong and powerful, empowering and beautiful! I can't help but feel a tad disappointed thought, because it isn't unlike Madonna Truth or Dare and Jovan's Gardenia. I also find the fragrance not unlike CD Poison. This fragrance, wonderful as it is, carries a very hefty price tag for something that smells like many other much cheaper fragrances. The longevity is poor for such a high end perfume as it only lasted a few hours on my skin and didn't even linger. If you have oodles of money then splash out on this and enjoy! MDCI Peche Cardinal is a very lovely perfume, but if, like me, you are rather strapped for cash, go for the other, cheaper brands that I have mentioned above, they are not a million miles away.

Exactly as others have noted, this is a 'false' peach - lovely, but not juicy. The peach and coconut give the peach fuzz, and the tuberose note is reminiscent of a peach blossom, the sandalwood is the stem/branches, and the musk is the sticky juice left on your fingers when you lick them clean. I like this scent but it's not a love for me. If you're familiar with Arizona from Proenza Schouler, this is the 'grown up' version with no strawberry and added musk. *edited to add: something about this as I've kept wearing it smells and 'feels' more like a purple (blackberry or currant?) wine gum. And there's a 'cough drop' or 'lozenge' note in the dry down. It's not a bad scent but I am growing to dislike it more with time.

Purchased a sample of this for myself initially due to my overwhelming love for peach and coconut. As soon as I opened it though, I knew immediately this was way to floral and feminine for me. The tuberose is the heaviest note I can pick up here. While it does smell absolutely lovely with the fruity undertones paired with the floral notes, it would not be something I would wear. However, I strongly recommend this to any ladies out there. It is a magnificent fragrance if you like fruity and floral, without the sweetness a lot of other fruity scents tend to have.

A vintage, candied peach scent. Don’t be fooled by the almost medicinal cherry smell from the bottle, once sprayed on the skin, the scents are true to peach, fruit and florals. Definitely a unique scent that needs adjusting to. The deeper, currant fruit scent makes this peach smell like a vintage candy brought out of an old wooden cabinet. The florals are longer lasting, while the musk comes through all day. The coconut notes are almost unnoticeable. Not fun and summery, think of a melancholic peach memory as the seasons change.

I have bought a sample on a whim and tested it for a couple of days. It is very clean and soapy to me but reminds me of a hairspray a bit. And balloons. A scent I would wear to a summer garden party. It is a pretty scent but it is not me, it’s not close to my personality. . Also, longevity is very weak on my skin. My husband, on the other hand, loved it and kept smelling it out of a little decant. He declared that it’s a summer parties scent and that if I wore it to work no one would get anything done :)

partial review here as I only got to smell this on a strip of paper - which is sometimes informative , other times not so much. I had a blast of fresh ripe peaches. My eyes rolled over to the back of my head in delight... I'll have to get myself a sample to test on skin or watch the reviews to see how the drydown works... I'd expect the peach to disappear in an hour or so but not sure what it leaves behind....yet.

It's a bright and dry impression of a peach. The scent is cobbled together with individual notes of plum, coconut and lily to pump up the sweet and fresh facets of a peach. There's a little cedar and musk that come off a little dusty, a little vintage. It's a really elegant composition that is more grown up than candy-sweet. This is your mother's peach perfume.

Like the skin of a peach, smells a bit fuzzy and astringent. Simple, clean, natural and beautiful, though short-lived on me. Not FBW for me (I don't love fruit fragrances) but still, I can tell when a fragrance is well done! Longevity and performance are poor IMO, projects for about an hour before becoming a skin scent, lasts around 2-3h on my skin.

I really love the peach note in this one because it's pretty realistic but unfortunately it is overwhelmed by the tuberose to my nose (I can be very sensitive to white florals). It’s a unique combo, but I just wish the peach stood out a bit more. Regardless, it’s definitely one of the best peach fragrances I’ve tried.

All the notes come together to make a supernormal creamy, fuzzy, ripe idea of a peach. Not a real peach, but a Photoshopped image of one in a magazine or a peach nectar juice box. It's fun and Summer-y unless my stomach is unsettled, then it's grating.
