Cry Baby Perfume Milk

I think I might be very well qualified to talk about this fragrance and its strawberry milkshake vibe. After waiting for so long I finally got my hands on it and I have to say... Wow. It was a very unexpected scent profile. Here's the thing, my favorite everyday fragrances are Burberry Her Elixir and KKW BFF. If you've been looking for strawberry milkshake fragrances, you've definitely heard of those two. And while they do fit the scent profile of a powdery strawberry milkshake, something about their development just doesn't reach that lactonic strength despite being really great fragrances that I absolutely recommend. BFF being a yummy, playful, softly alluring strawberry milkshake with whipped cream and marshmallows and Her Elixir being a powdery distant strawberry milkshake, much more refined and at a cafe somewhere in a gentrified neighborhood of London. But this? This was beyond lactonic and it surpassed everything I expected it to be. If you're a Melanie Martinez fan or familiar with her work at all, Cry Baby Perfume Milk is a no-brainer must have fragrance if you can absolutely get it. Because it embodies every single aspect of her Crybaby and K-12 albums. The milk is prominent throughout every bit of the fragrance, opening with a salty sandalwood profile reminiscent of cinnamon that's welcoming you to the lactonic strawberry notes, blended in with the dark, edgy and herbal androgynous scent of the forest fruits and with a baby lotion caramelized drydown. I have never smelled anything like it and it's nostalgic of so many things while still being very mature and sexy. It's definitely a fragrance for anyone. It's reminiscent of Nesquik strawberry powder, gingerbread cookies, caramel, butterscotch, lipstick, lotion, strawberry shortcake dolls, and the dirty herbal spiced fruits give it a smokey, tobacco-esque punk edge that's just incredible. If I could compare this fragrance to something, I'd say it's a strawberry milk twist on By Kilian Angels' Share thanks to the nearly cinnamony savory and salty caramel + woody notes. With all this in mind though, the price points for this are absolutely ridiculous. This is not a $1600 scent even if it's wonderful. I would understand $200-$300 AT MOST. The longevity is quite good, and the projection is definitely powerful. I love this fragrance and think it's quite unisex but does lean towards fem. Similarly to the Crybaby character in her albums. This is definitely a masterpiece and it's such a tragedy that it is discontinued. I highly recommend this fragrance or a dupe of it if you can get your hands on it, it's a very genuine and powerful powdery strawberry milk experience but it does evolve further than that. 10/10, forever keeping it in the archives and purchasing many dupes of it as I can find to wear.

FINALLY got my hands on this fragrance! I got some sample/decant bottles and I'm SO glad I did! I've been wanting to try this perfume for YEARS. First Impressions: when I first sprayed, it was VERY sweet, yet tart at the same time; almost citrus, but mostly berry. At first, I was quite disappointed because I, nor my boyfriend really got any hint of Milk or Cream which was the entire reason I went on a wild goose chase, but as it dried down and matured, it got SUPER super sweet and almost musky or woodsy. I was pleasantly surprised <3 This scent is truly unique and unlike anything I've come across before. I didn't get as much of a strawberry milk/lactonic, plastic doll heads, or lipstick accord I was hoping for, but it was still worth finding and wearing. My boyfriend likes it, and he's super picky about scents. It also lasts HOURS too, which is nice! makes a very good skin scent and did get *slightly* creamier towards the end. I REALLY love this fragrance. I am a person who prefers Vanillic/milky/creamy scents over ANYTHING else, but this is definitely a runner upper. Its sweet but very mature at the same time, so honestly anyone of any age could wear this. I just turned 28 last week and was hoping for something to help me feel youthful again and this was a good blind buy. since it's so rare, it's IMPOSSIBLE to get your hands on and when you do, it will cost you a pretty penny. I've spent more than double the amount perfume costs for a tiny little sample bottle. it's AMAZING for layering and DEFIANTLY a gourmand-MY FAVORITE!!! Final verdict, I LOVE this stuff. I didn't quite end up with the smell I was hoping for, but I still SUPER love the fragrance and would def purchase an ENTIRE bottle if she ever restocked <3 I am a Huge Melanie Martinez fan,found her summer of 2015 when a lot was going on in my life, but it was also a very good year, so I have some memories tied to her music, so its nice to have a fragrance that can bring me back to Cry Baby Era, pre K-12 <3 ps, the advertisement wasn't scary at all * not to me *. not sure why people are turned off by it and then say they love Melanie, because that's kind of her whole shtick - creepy cute

I found Fragrantica thanks to hunting down this perfume, so it's only fair I leave a detailed review now that I own it! Obviously, the bottle is over 5 years old now, so the notes may have changed over time. The opening spray is very sharp, almost a mouth-wateringly jammy rasperry and citrus. Not fresh citrus though, more like a sugary lemon warhead. After about 15 minutes I get the "antique toy" smell that people have described. It reminds me greatly of those large doll heads meant for children to play around with hairstyling. Also those fake baby bottles with the permanent liquid illusion inside. This scent literally dug up memories and vivid imagery from kindergarten, it's that nostalgic! After the complete drydown, it settles into a very creamy raspberry plastic scent. The cream mostly comes in the form of baby lotion, it's very soft, sweet, and clean - combined with that continued nostalgic plastic toy scent. Rasperry-scented vintage doll is the best way to describe this perfume. It's incredibly unique, like I said I was able to literally visualize where I had smelled it before. After I obtained the real deal, I needed to find out how the dupes compared. I ordered Strawberry Milk from MiimMic as well as Praise the Perfume by Oakcha. MiimMic is an intense, Nesquik strawberry milk. Nothing much more than that. It smells AMAZING, but I don't think it has the nostalgic toy factor or layered notes that Crybaby does. Oakcha PTP is exactly how the reviewer below me described. Sticky, sour, artificial lemon cleaner. I was told that the fragrance needs to "settle" for a while to develop, so I have capped it and will ignore it until next month. Honestly it's not even wearable as it is lol. Overall I am pleasantly suprised and more than happy to have Crybaby in my collection, even if for me it is more of an experience than a wearable scent! Edit: Ok I let the Oakcha dupe settle for a while. It is a lot better, but I think the closest scent to the OG Crybaby is Yes I Am by Cacharel!!

I received this as a gift when it first came out! It was from my first serious love and relationship of 9 years so I will always adore this, I have sentimental memories attached to it. I’m pretty sure he preordered it for me, so I have a very old bottle of it. It’s sweet, strong, powdery, and milky. When I first used this way back then, I felt like it was mostly a fresh milk + berry scent, like a powdery thick fruity malt milkshake combined with something woody. I remember being confused by the scent at first, I was a 19 year old who loved safe sweet vanilla/floral scents. It took a few wears to grow on me so I don’t think this is a fully “juvenile” scent like most people might expect it to be, it still has complexity to it (even if some people perceive scents as juvenile, wear what you want!). There is a woody smell to it, but a very pink/light woody smell. It def did not do well in the summer for me, it still smelled yummy in the heat but it was SURELY cloying to others around me. I wore it all the time anyways. This is also fairly long lasting, I could smell it on a jacket for days after spraying, and it stuck to my hair even after washing it. I still have a little less than a quarter of a bottle left, but I never use it unless a special occasion is happening. It smells just as good as it did nearly 10 years ago now. I don’t think dupes do this any justice, so I wouldn’t compare this to any of the dupes that are floating around. I would put this in the same vein as “festival nite for her” from Hollister. Festival nite is fresher/floral smelling and there’s no berry in it, but it reminds me of Crybaby. Both are fruity, creamy, sweet. Not a dupe by any means, Crybaby is more unique but they have similar vibes in my opinion :) edit: sad. i sprayed the OG to compare it to the new version, and the sprayer on the OG broke. it now sprays and leaks everywhere.

If the color pastel pink had a scent, it would be this. It starts out smelling like slightly tart berries (I detect a little bit of strawberry and blackberry among an otherwise generic berry scent, no lemon) with vanilla ice cream and turns into just sweet, milky, powdery, cozy goodness with a subtle side of marshmallow and caramel. If you’re expecting strawberry to be the main character, you’re gonna be disappointed though. The vibe is curling up on a soft pink cloud in a warm fluffy blanket, with snow on the ground, and the sky is that gorgeous cotton candy pink reflecting off of the snow and giving everything that pink glow. Unlike some other reviewers, I don’t get any lipstick, soap, baby products, licorice, mint, guava, florals, or citrus. I sometimes get what I think some have described as minivan vibes (musty dusty artificial sweetness) but only if I apply too much and it goes away after ~15 mins. I like to layer this with the strawberry-forward Burberry Her sometimes. I've also tried the Oil Perfumery's dupe, I recommend it if you can't get the original. Until there's a separate page for the dupes themselves (if there ever is any, as of now there isn't), and because the original is almost impossible to come by, people who haven't tried the original have no other choice but to try dupes. The dupes aren't technically 100% identical but most of them are similar enough. As long as people are clear about which version they're reviewing, I don't see why it's such a travesty that they're putting their reviews here. The outrage is giving pretentious gate-keeping and "I-have-nothing-else-remotely-interesting-going-on-in-my-life". Touch grass, it's not that deep.

I love Melanie Martinez. The first time I heard of hear of her was through the song Cough Syrup on The Voice and I was instantly hooked. I have heard almost all her songs and greatly anticipated her album and as well her launch of her first perfume. I couldnt afford the price tag but I was extremely curious about its notes and the small samples were being hawked for more than fifteen bucks which is outrageous. I finally snagged one through a seller along with a coupon and awaited its arrival. To me, it doe not have much similarity with BBW Velvet Sugar, that one is much sweeter thanks to the coffee and cream but there was something about M.M. Milk that made me recollect of a familiar scent. It is sweet, but powdery like the scent of those old cosmestics powder. A myriad of all the notes mixed into become something playfulish, sweet but remains grounded to maturity thanks to the woody accord and the baby lotion. I went through my perfume stash and sniffed for that familiarity and lo and behold, Debbie Gibsons fragrance came into mind. Although D.G. Electric Youth comes off extremely strong upon first blast, it mellows down and both scents are akin like fraternal sister. Not identical but very much similiar. They both exude charm, youthfulness, sweet child like vitality. They are powdery like baby powder, very much fruity like fresh berries upon a bowl but so very classic and unforgettable. If you can't snagged Mels fragrance, try Debbies. Although, Milk is much fruitier and sweeter like she intended to be for her audience, just give it a moment to mellow out, Debbies is much better silliage and longer lasting.

So I have been a die hard fan of melanie’s music for about six or seven years, so I may be biased. I blind bought this one because I’m just such a fan of hers. Appearance: The container it came in is super youthful and fun! Inside the package the bottle is surrounded in an adorable nest of pastel confetti! The bottle itself is both creative and unique! It is shaped like a baby bottle with cute pastel pink letters, the bottle cap actually comes off to reveal the Atomizer. All in all it really is absolutely precious and I’m in LOVE with the whole Aesthetic of it! Expectations: I thought it would be A sweeter , fruity, powdery light smell. Here is my verdict once I sprayed it; Opening smell: The first thing I smelled is the powder and kind of milky notes I did smell a sweet almost vanilla note as well. Dry down: Once it dries down you will start to smell more of a musk and the milk smell fades down. The sweetness DEFINITELY intensifies! It’s almost sickeningly sweet but not necessarily in a bad way. (If that makes sense) The dark fruit notes are very dominant as well as the wood notes. Conclusion: Despite it’s “cutesy” appearance I was actually shocked to find that it was such a sophisticated perfume! It’s definitely not your typical celebrity fragrance that has that “sweet or vanilla generic” smell. It is quite impressive! Not only does it have great longevity but it also projects very well too! It’s a fun yet mature fragrance that I didn’t expect from any celebrity perfume! I would highly recommend it!

When I first smelt the nozzle, it smelled really good and I instantly got a floral scent. Then after a spritz, I smelt tons of citrus. I know you will hear that a lot, but it's true. It is a very lemony citrus that I get, mixed with the scent of alcohol. You will also get a floral scent. Think spray and/or floor cleaner. When it dries down it gets much MUCH better. You get that creamy and powdery scent that people talk about. It gives a very nostalgic scent, as I feel like this is a scent I have smelled before. Somewhere, or at least similar. It goes without saying that I am not a fan of the beginning notes. But it is so much better when it dries down. Truly, I love it when it is dried down. The milky and powdery scent it gives off is soothing and dreamy. The beginning is shocking and it smells like a daytime/spring scent. Dried down it smells like a winter/fall afternoon/night scent! I will update on the longevity soon! Other than that, I say this is worth it. Update: It has been 16 hours and the perfume smell is still on! Smells like vanilla, powder, and sugar, still very soothing and nostalgic. Another update: It lasts over a day I'd say, though I smell the scent fading away. However, that is when I start to get the strawberry scent and still the yummy powdery scent that accompanies it. I must say, this is probably my favorite perfume.

Okay, rent payment or Cry Baby...rent payment or Cry Baby... I’m saying that the prices on eBay are absolutely ridiculously insane and sickening. Hey, I love perfume as much as the next person and it is one thing I don’t feel guilty collecting as: A. I use it daily B. The bottles are gorgeous and make me happy C. The fragrances inspire mindfulness and peace, since I was a teen they’ve helped with my ADD immensely, I’ve been medicated for OCD since 2009 and as a kid fragrance was one of the few things that calmed me...I digress... That said, no way would I spend 900 usd on this. I got it before the hoopla and also own a large bottle of the dupe by AM. The dupe is outstanding btw. Cold, cold frothy PINK milk. Strawberry milk with some underlying citrus, nothing too screechy. Bright and playful and youthful. Addictive to me and that’s rare. Also, I have an annoying tendency to either tire of fragrances or become turned off by them, even in lipgloss. I just keep loving it. Also, tons of compliments. The Andromeda’s dupe lasts awhile, as all her scents do. I’m craving it now, lol. I sometimes mix it with indie house, Black Hearted Tart’s Strawberry Creme Puff, a blend of whipped cream, strawberry, tonka, and vanilla.

Dang, this is a super accurate take on strawberry milk! I was a little skeptical because I've smelled lactonic perfumes before, but the ones I've tested you really have to whiff and search for those lactones, and are only sorta milky. This is MILKY. Top notes/initial spray is straight strawberry milk, that's it. As it dries down I get a lot more caramel, something tart (but not overwhelming, possibly what most people are perceiving as citrus?), and the lotion-y texture. The intense strawberry diminishes after a time, leaving a subtly fruity, sweet milk scent. I don't actually get a lot of powder or woody notes from this; it's very lactonic, sweet, and fruity on my skin. The lotion dry down keeps this from being completely gourmand. Cry Baby Perfume Milk kind of reminds me of Lush's American Cream conditioner, not just because of the strawberry milkshake aspect, but also that creamy conditioner/cosmetic texture. This is gorgeous and impressed me a lot, one of the best (if not THE best) celeb fragrances I've tried. EDIT: I get the powder now, it adds weight to the scent itself. The powder accentuates the strawberry and makes it smell full and heavy, but otherwise it's not very noticeable to my nose.

I got a 1ml vial of the original one and knowing how difficult it is to come across I guess I might as well give out my two cents. I also tried a little bit of it on my skin and I will say I don't smell any milk or strawberry milk specifically, however I get a lot of berries and its very very heavy on caramel. As it dries down that's when I start getting the strawberry, plastic and lipstick notes and yes, like another reviewer said it really does smell like the scented Strawberry Shortcake dolls of the very early 2000s, I can say it was the Bandai ones because I owned 2! Overall I wasn't expecting to like this perfume as much as I eventually did, I was really expecting a more childish scent mostly centered around strawberry and milk, but it really ended up being more mature and almost edgy, despite still being very sweet. Such a shame it's discontinued, I hardly believe it's ever going to be sold again considering various controversies and Melanie's change of aesthetic, but in case we get another batch, even for a limited time, I'll certainly get myself one because its like nothing else I ever tried! <3

Cry baby, to my nose, smelled like this: Had top notes of citrus and maybe some berries, but not really strawberry. Middle notes were powdery/cosmetic-y/lotion-y, and lactonic, very soft and warm. Warm base notes of burnt caramel and strong woody notes. They came together to make a beautiful fruity gourmand that was warm, not overly sweet, powdery, and deep because of the woody notes. It’s so random but Aquolina’s Pink Sugar body mist and Viva La Juicy from Juicy Couture reminds me a lot of Cry Baby! Neither are a dupe by any means but does remind me of it. For Pink Sugar body mist, it has a very similar powdery sweetness, almost cosmetic-y like Cry Baby. Viva La Juicy, to me, has a slightly similar scent in the sense that it opens with fruity notes (albeit not citrusy) and has a very warm, woody, caramel base. It’s by no means identical, and I would describe it as heavier and almost smokey. It lacks the delicate powdery middle notes that Cry Baby has and also has added floral notes, but it somehow still reminds me of Cry Baby when I smell it.

I sadly have a full authentic bottle of this for sale, being a Mom is full of tough decisions and a sh*t ton of dedication and taking care of my 3 boys are way more important than holding on to one of my favorite perfumes that I have in my collection....I am a gormaund fragrance fiend but I have to start letting go of my fragrances!!!! It's tough but I'm tougher and so is a mother's love❤️! 12/13/17 Just ordered this and it arrived a couple of days ago. The perfume is actually white(like milk) which I thought was cool. Anyways,THIS SMELLS DELICIOUS!! It's like strawberries,creamy milk,sandalwood,(and like someone mentioned below me) fruity pebbles. its sweet but it's not overly sweet in a "kiddy" way. Because it's in a baby bottle,people may not want to try it In fear that it's not age appropriate BUT it's definitely for ALL AGES. I think what makes it wearable for someone who's "older" are the woody notes in the dry down. There's still the fruits and milk that linger but the woods make this fragrance not as childlike. It's just a warm,sweet comforting scent. I hope Melanie and her team can come up with more fragrances and other products to coincide with the album song titles. That would be cool.

I BET that 99.99% of the reviewers bringing up allegations about MM , who btw is not the parfumer but simply the celebrity representing a fragrance- shook their butts to the beat of “Rock ‘n Roll, Pt. 2” , trying to look sexy AFTER the sick truth about the performer came out ( for some of the sheeple: Gary Glitter) - so why judge a perfume based on allegations? Are you mad you can’t afford it? Inflation hit us years ago... Í used to make beef pot roasts often , now it’s a treat. So if you can only afford Bath and Body Works, go review your sprays IF they’re even on here , but we are supposed to review a perfume, not a dupe from whoever nor the fact that MM may have done something tabloids don’t care about when it’s simple people it happens with!

First, I want to say that the impression I had when I tried this perfume was unforgettable! Cry Baby Milk smells so familiar to me, nostalgic and almost forgotten, like a scent from childhood 🤍 This perfume gives me goosebumps. I have a 2 ml bottle, but I will definitely buy the full bottle Now, let's talk about the notes. For me, it smells like baby powder, baby lotion 🍼 A milky freshness also envelops everything. You can also slightly smell the wood and berries, which give this perfume its originality 🪵🍓 It's completely different from the 2025 version, which is citrusy, fruity, and fresh. I like that one much less. And if you think Crybaby's perfume has gone bad since 2016, no. It has become more long-lasting and superb! I'm happy!! 🌧️🍪🍒

This is a review for Oakchas's "Praise the Perfume". I've never smelled Cry Baby but I can tell you what I get from this one ( and I think it's absolutely lovely, from a gourmand and fruity floral lover's point of view). It's not at all what I personally consider "perfumey" or "grown up" scent but it'll definitely appeal to those who like really feminine, candy sweet, fruity and slightly powdery scents. As it dries down I'm hit with waves reminding me of bits and pieces of the first formulation of Britney Spears Fantasy, Pink Sugar, SC Sweet Tooth, and Barbie doll heads. It smells really pink and happy. A little goes a long way with this one though because it's an extrait, not EDP or EDT. Two sprays and you're good! I love this.

I wish Melanie Martinez would restock this, anyways I bought this perfume before it got discontinued. This is my most commented perfume. There are so many opinions about this perfume both negative and positive so I have to be very careful when I spray this. This perfume smells very unusual, lactonic and sweet. There are some people who dislike the smell because they don't understand the smell but there are other people who do appreciate the uniqueness of this scent. One person said I smell like popcorn which is idk if that's a good thing. This scent last longer than I expected, it can last for a whole day. If you want a non-traditional sweet, milky, caramel unique strawberry milk scent this is for you.

I’m sorry , but what does someone’s personal life have to do with a fragrance that, to beat it, came out before all the allegations? Ridiculous! Whoever loved this first and now suddenly has an issue with it because of tabloid stories : how weak , what sheep a lot of people are! Cry Baby Milk was and still is pretty good if you know what to expect! Having had someone in my household who owned the Original and then had to resort to buying dupes , I was looking forward to it being re- released because I loved smelling it on that person, I also loved how it smelled on my skin. Maybe not as my signature fragrance but I will invest in a bottle, hoping it still smells exactly like the first release.

It’s interesting how everyone nowadays is constantly referring to this as a “strawberry milk/shake” perfume and calling all the dupes that lol, since from the day it was released (even before then really, when Melanie would hand out samples before it released) no one ever described this as that bc it didnt smell like it. Even tho milk & strawberry are in the notes, it somehow never made this perfume smell like strawberry milk/shakes. It wasn’t until it blew up on the internet YEARS later that it being described that way came about. So sorry to everyone who saw this fragrance after it discontinued hoping for that kind of scent, bc it has never smelled like that lmao. Interesting really.
