Cassiopeia Rose

Opens up with a jammy sweet peppery incense rose, then it gradually transitions into the famous sweet yet mature rose-vanilla accord, but it's softened by a musky, mildly green, rose at its base. It's not very unique but pleasant, it goes through a rollercoaster of popular rose accords, initially the jammy incense reminded me of Amouage's "Rose Incense", but it's not as intense as that, and as it dried down it became more reminiscent of PDM's "Delina Exclusif" or Tiziana Terenzi's "Delox", which both play around with that rose-vanilla-amber accord, but this does it in a much fresher style. This collection seems to have a unique cap and spray design, with them being taller and larger, and the bottom of the spray's collar having ridges to hold the cap better. There’s something about Turkish rose, in particular, that I find mildly overwhelming (maybe my nose is fatigued to it) and there’s a lot of that in the initial spray. But very quickly the olibanum helps tone down the jamminess of the rose. It doesn’t smell like boswellia sacra, so it doesn’t have the “church” quality to it. The pink pepper is hardly noticeable to me, unlike raving rose DVN, which hits you in the face. The combination of notes makes the dry down pleasant. But it’s a scent profile that is widespread. A warm musky, resinous (slightly sweet) dry down with a little greenness, but the other fragrances with this brand are more unique. It’s lovely! I have to say very well blended high quality ingredients!

Lovely, powdery rose scent with incense and resinous, vanilla drydown. I love the way the rose stays pretty, young and delicate. I like this scent very much...but...Unfortunately, the Ambroxan started annoying my sinuses. I wish they didn't have to ruin this scent with toxic, harsh ambroxan. Sample it first.

Winning combination of notes as always. I popped in to smell honey dragon again and decided to smell some roses. Very smooth, very resinous in a non churchy, very balmy kind of way. Bit musky too. Can't go wrong with this note combo. Oud satin mood for me.
