اذا كانت العطور في الغالب تستوحى من قصص او مواقف او محاكة لمكان ما,,,, ففي المقابل هناك عطور تجبرنا ان نكتب لها القصص والابيات والخواطر وصفا لها ، حسب درجة تأثير العطر علينا . احد العطور التي أرى أنه يستحق التجربة والاقتناء هو عطر ايتاليان ليذر، موجة فقط لعشاق التميز وليس التعالي ولعشاق الفخامة ! والى اولئك الذين سئموا من البحث عن العطور بسبب التكرار الممل، فهذا العطر قد يكون ضربة الحظ وقد لايكون حسب درجة اطلاعك وتجربتك فهيا بنا لرحلة مع هذا العطر : ايتاليان ليذر ركب بطلنا مركبته الكلاسيكية الفخمة المكشوفة السقف ذات المراتب الجلدية قاصدا منتجعه؛ وبعد رحلة شاقة لبطلنا الذي جاب المدن والفيافي الايطالية قاصد منتجعة الذي تهفو إليه نفسه إلى ذلك المكان الذي يشعر معه بذكريات لاتنسى إلى ذلك المكان الذي يستمتع معه بجمال الطبيعية ورائحة التربه ورائحة الأوارق الخضراء ودفئ الشمس، وصل بطلنا إلى مكانه وركن مركبته الفاخرة بالقرب من قصرة الكلاسيكي الفخم، وهاهو يفتح باب مركبته ينزل يخطوا الخطوات يتوقف قليلا ليهندم بزته (بدلته) الفاخرة المصنوعة من أجود انواع الجلد الايطالي الفاخر ،يتقدم يلتفت يمنةً ويسرة بهدوء تام، يتقدم حتى يقترب من بستان الزرع وكعادته يطيل النظر لتلك الأوراق الخضراء والغصون وتمايلها وتراقصها مع نسمات الهواء العليله الدافئة واذا به ينتشي لجمال ذلك المنظرليأخذ نفساً عميق وهو مغمضُ عينيه ومطلقاً يدية وكأنه يريد أن يستقبل ويحتضن محبوباً قادماً من بعيد ؟بالفعل أنه يريد أن يحتضن جمال الطبيعة بجبالها وأشجارها ،ذلك المكان الذي تتوق نفسه إليه دائما، فهاهو بطلنا يشعر مع نسمات ذلك الهواء العليل وجمال تلك المناظر الخلابة بتلك الرائحة الفخمة التي هي مزيج من روائج الجلود الباردة الراقية مع قليلا من روائح الخضرة أو الاعشاب الخضراء وقليلاً من رائحة شطيرة الفانيلا اللذيذة التي أعتاد على أكلها بتلذذٍ من يدي كبير الطباخين في قصرة :) فتلك المقدمة الفخمة لازال بطلنا مستمتع معها يشعر أنه ملكاً يشعر أنه مميزاً يشعر أنه امام قصة جميلة تستحق أن تروى وينصت لها،وماهي إلا لحظات حتى يشعر بعبق التربة الدافة وبعض روائح الاخشاب وروائح البخور( روائح مدخنه) وهو مستمتع هائما .... وماهي الا لحظات واذا بالشمس تغرب ويغرب معها جزء من المكونات و تبقى روائح الجلد التي بدأت تهدأ مع قليلا من رائحة الفانيلا مع الشعور بروائح الاخشاب الغير بارزة ، بعد ذلك الغروب يتجه بطلنا كعادته إلى قصرة لتناول شطيرة الفانيلا!!! اللذيذة التي يستمتع بطعمها مستحضراً تلك المقدمة الرائعة التي لازالت عالقةً في مخيلته والتي لازال اثرها اللطيف باقٍ، وما أن ينتهي من اكل تلك الشطيره يقوم ليخلع بدلته الفاخرة وهو ينظر لها قائلا بإبتسامة يملؤها السعادة والرضى أنت نعم انت أيتها الجلود جزء من قصة هذا المكان الرائع بل أنت جوهرته ..... وكعادتة ينادي بصوت عالي كبير طباخيه،هاهو أمامه نعم سيدي؟ اممم شكرا لك من أعماق قلبي على تلك الشطيرة اللذيذه من الفانيلا التي هي أيضا جزء مهم من قصتي مع هذا المكان اتمنى لك يوما سعيدا طباخي الماهر ولك أيضا شكرا على لطفك، عفواً سيدي! تفضل ياسيدي اني في غاية الحرج! لاداعي من الحرج تفضل قل مالديك الحقيقة سيدي ان بزتك جميله وكنت أتسأل هل بامكاني ان استعارتها لحضور مناسب مهمة وعزيزته على قلبي، ياطباخي العزيز كل مافي هذا القصر تحت تصرفك خذها ودعني قبل ذلك انظر كيف تبدوا عليك ....امم انها مناسبة وكانه فصلت على مقاسك اعتقد ان ستبدوا ملفتاً للحاضرين بهذه البزه الجميلة ،استمتع بيومك عزيزي الطباخ شكرا سيدي ليلة سعيدة. خلاصة العطر: ففي البداية تستقبلك روائح الجلود الفخمة الممزوجة بنعومة ولمسة حانية للفانيلا اللذيذة والحسية بجانب روائح البخور او دعوني اقول رواح مدخنه/سمكوية ، ما ان يهدأ العطر حتى تبدا تلحظ تلك الروائح التي وضفت لتعكس قصة هذا العطر فستبدا تشعر بتواجد لروائح الارضية الترابية (او رائحة التربه بجانب روائح الاعشاب وشعوراً من بعيد برائحة اوراق الطماطم، يستمر العطر طويلا على هذا الحال وفي نهاية العطر عندما ياخذ وقت طويلا بعد التعطر منه يثبت على روائح الجلود الفخمة الرائعه. يالها من قصة رائعه لهذا العطر . هذا العطر موجه لمحبي الجلود ذات الطابع البلسمي البخوري الفخم العطر على شاكلة انترلود مان من أمواج ولكن أكثر نعومه وأسهل في الارتداء واقل في السعر كذلك. لاتنس ذكر الله والصلاة على النبي تحاتي

كونى . كما تبغين لكن لن تكوني ! ! لن تكوني ! ! فأنا صنعتك من هواي ومن جنوني .. ! ولقد برئت من الهوى و من الجنون.. ولقد برئت من الهوى و من الجنون.. هكذا قلت في نفسي حين قررت الحديث عن هذا العطر. لا.. لست عطر جلود و لن تكون مهما حاولوا إيهامي و علي رأي عبقري زمانه الملحن عمرو مصطفي (هتلاعبني بالألغاز .. أنا عارفك يا عدوِّي ). إذن فهذا هو ( التابوه ) الأول الذي أحطمه في نفسي و لنفسي - وقطعاً هو محض اجتهاد و ذائقة شخصية - ليس معنى أن يضع صانعو العطر اسم (الجلود الإيطالية) أن أسلم أنفي و قلبي و أرتدي هذه الجلود دون كلمة. العطر عطراً جروماندياً بامتياز مشهي و لذيذ و متقن باحتراف. فكرت كثيراً كيف لهذه الجروماندية أن تكون مدخنة. أنا على يقين أنني خبرتها من قبل. و أخيراً أدركت الفكرة. إنا (شيشة الفواكه) و الشيشة هي المرادف المصري للـ(نارجيلة) أو (الأرجيلة) و لا أحدد نوع معين لكنها تقارب رائحة معسل الخوخ أو المشمش فتنتج هذه الرائحة الدخانية المسكرة. (التابوه) الثاني الطماطم. علمونا صغاراً أنها فاكهة. كيف و هي مالحة و حامضة أم أنها الطماطم المصرية و أنا لم أختبر سواها. هنا و في هذا العطر البديع أشم الطماطم فاكهية و مشرقة للغاية و أشم سبلاتها الخضراء و كأنني أقف على رأس حديقة طماطم في شمس التاسعة صباحاً. الڤانيلا هي فرس السباق الرابح. منذ أن تضغط زناد العطر حتى لحظة الزوال. محبوك ومتوسط السكرية وراقي الأداء. و الفانيلا سلاح ذو حدين غير متساويين . أحدهما كبير قاتل أنفر منه و يصيبني بالغثيان إذا ما أسرف الصانعون في توظيفه و الأخر ساحر ناعم كمشرط الجراح يذبح مشاعري و يدغدغ قلبي إذا ما حسُن توظيفه كحال فانيلا فلاش أندي تاور و فانيلا مونا دي أوريو و فانيلا توم فورد في تحفته توباكو فانيلا ..فأرفع الراية بلا نقاش و أعلن تسليمي و غرامي. الجلود. لغز العطر و أزمته. نعم أعترض على تصنيفه كعطر جلود لكن لا أنفي وجودها مطلقاً. إنها مسك الختام. تتفرد في ظلال الڤانيلا وتأتي خضراء عميقة شبيهة بقاعدة العطر البديع كليف كريستيان سي عطر الجلود الكلاسيكي المتفرد. مجموعة راتنجات عبقرية. اللابدنوم والمر (ميره) وبلسم التولو. تأثير دخاني معتق وبخوري رزين في حُلة غربية تُلائم أناقة العطر وعصريته. انطباع اللون كثيراً ما تراودني فكرة لون العطر. لا أقصد لون ماء العطر أو زجاجته أو حتى عبوته الخارجية. أقصد ما يثيره في نفسي من إيحاء وهنا أري لون البني الفاتح بتأثير اللون الأرجواني. حالة من الدفء والسكرية والسعادة والنشوة. أظنني سوف أستخدم هذا اللون في خلفية صورة العطر.و كعطر يحبه النساء و يعشقنه فضلت أن يقدمه لكم الدبدوب (بندق) -باعتباره ساحراً مع بنات حواء و أولهم زوجتي التي تحتفظ به منذ خمسة عشر عاماً- بغض النظر عن نظرة التحدي الواضحة بينه و زجاجة العطر فقد اعتاد أن يكون بطل المشهد منفرداً. العطر من طائفة العطور طويلة الملازمة جيدة الفوحان. يمتعك ومن حولك لساعتين ثم يدوم انفرادك بهذه المتعة ليومٍ كامل وربما يزيد. طابت أوقاتكم

Memo. A whopper of a perfume company. I hope they chose the name "Memo" due to it being the first half of the word "memory", because they weave some ridiculously good stories with their scents. This particular scent kicked my bank balance square in it's knackers, and I felt them throb for a long while after. But, it was thankfully worth it! Any scent based on something Italian can't exist without tomatoes being involved somewhere. They literally invented pomodoro for fucks sake! Memo demonstrate how to use the scent of tomato in a very clever way within Italian Leather. It sits right on the top, like proud cock, with tones of soil in the middle, whilst a sensual base of vanilla adds a touch of class and luxury to the proceedings. They are the three main notes in the scent, but I also get little whispers of labdanum, galbanum, sage, basil, and a plethora of precious woody notes. It is such a beautifully organised scent, with all scent notes interacting with each other in a harmonious and mesmerising way. It is superb, quite frankly. Healthy Italian sunshine in a bottle. It is suitable for all seasons, and it is most definitely unisex. Literally any old twat can wear this perfume, even the really mucky ones, and they'll smell absolutely beautiful. Sillage is excellent; easily infiltrates the nose of anyone nearby. Longevity-wise, it comes up a winner again; the labdanum does an excellent job of making the perfume cling to your skin for dear life. It is scents like Italian Leather that fuel my intense, obsessive love for perfumery. Thank you Memo for creating such a sumptuous delight. It has one problem however; the price. It will cost you a small fortune to buy a brand new full size bottle. So my peepers are waiting on Vinted, with bated breath, to snap up a second-hand bottle from some rich tosser. 9/10. It loses a point due to it's hefty price tag. Other than that, I am in love with it.

I finally sprung for a small bottle of this, big enough so that I won't have to limit my experience of this intriguing fragrance to furtive visits to the Neiman Marcus' perfume counter. I discovered Memo when Gumps was still in business and the salesmen there were a lot friendlier to old women perfume addicts who looked unlikely to buy anything over maybe $75. Scanning through some of the reviews here, I can tell you what Memo Italian Leather is not: a tomato leaf fragrance. If you want to smell actual tomato leaves, get Cognoscenti no. 16. They're really in that. Although I'm not recommending it. The smell of gasoline a recent reviewer suggested is closer. I'd say Italian Leather evokes a lot of large shiny black motorcycles and some black leather. A showroom with 50 of them in it, or someone's elite private collection with a lot of classics like Nortons. The image is not of a parking lot for a biker bar. Memo Italian Leather is not an open air scent; it's a confined space scent, heavy and dark. I don't think it's horrible though; I really like this stuff. Of the listed notes, I'd say that beyond the obvious leather and labdanum notes, the galbanum, balsam, vanilla, benzoin and myrrh are the most prominent. It lasts 8+ hours on my skin and I suspect the sillage is at least 10 feet. (Not all of the public will be pleased...) Obviously not a day fragrance, unless I suppose you've been up all night and you can still smell it at 9am. It's serious stuff; it takes no prisoners, and you definitely will want to watch where you wear it if you're under say 40. I won't be having that problem, but it's a thought.

This is my second memo (I also reviewed ocean leather). I was very excited when I smelled this the first time, and several months later purchased a bottle. It captivated me, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Not many scents have ever done this for me. It is a dark, rich, brooding scent, but lets talk about that infamous tomato vine first.. I wonder how many people would actually identify it as such if they were not told about it? To me, this perfume smells like a dark cacao and vanilla, soft fine leather, with a bitter vegetal accord to balance the sweetness. Underpinning all this are rich resinous components - too deep and complex for me to verbally articulate, unfortunately. The tomato vine is there, but it is balancing the dark cacao / chocolate notes so masterfully. Not sure why more people are not drawing attention to the dark cacao / chocolate vibes this scent brings. 5 hours plus in, the resinous components and leather are fully developed, bringing an ever so slight balsamic wood and dare I say animalic vibe. This is a powerful, very long lasting leather scent. As with the other memo leathers, one shouldn’t confuse it with other more popular leathers from TF etc - this is more fine soft Italian leather than bolshy leather tannery vibes. Extremely deep, complex and sophisticated. Would suit evenings or cooler weather more, and I would say avoid hot weather day time wearing altogether. Office safe if you wear leathers or other darker leaning scents to the office already. Date night friendly though not for all. As with all memos, a little pricey, but fair for this one. Superb work here memo!

This is beautiful! Italian Leather is a very botanical, powdery green and smooth fragrance but it is also almost like a gourmand, because of the vanilla and tomato leaf. With those two notes together with that beautiful leather accord is this one of the most intriguing and interesting leather fragrances I have ever smelled - truly art made by the fantastic Alienor Massenet. Italian Leather brings me nostalgia and fond memories from both Italy and my childhood, when I was exploring a greenhouse that had this amazing and fragrant smell of tomatoes and tomato leaves. The vanilla is so good and well done in this scent, it’s not synthetic nor too sweet but just warm and delicious. The tomato leaf goes surprisingly well with the vanilla and leather. Longevity is good and long lasting, sillage is decent. Well done Memo Paris, I love your fragrances and the wonderful journeys they take you on. EDIT: The vanilla is HEAVENLY in this. After a few months of using and having Italian Leather, I can definitely say that it has the absolutely best and most well-done vanilla note/essence I have ever smelled in any fragrance ever that has vanilla in it. One hour after the fragrance has been applied, is when the vanilla really shines through, takes over and dominates, for my skin at least. It has this delicious photorealistic scent of pure natural vanilla beans/pods from Madagascar or Réunion Island. So good. If you're looking for the perfect and most realistic vanilla fragrance, look no further!

Opens with a strong yet refined leafy scent. Oh I like this. No hint of chlorophyll and very aromatic. The scent of leather is faint at this point but it's definitely in the background. 30 mins in leather has fully blossomed. The leafiness of the tomato leaf is still there giving the leather an earthy quality . This leather accord smells like car leather to my nose rather than shoe leather (like Tuscan Leather, Ombre Leather, Uomo Signature, Bentley For Men Absolute & Encre Noire does) or leather bag leather (aka pencil shavings like Bottega Veneta EDP & Eau de Velours, Armani Cuir Amethyste and Goutal Tenue de Soiree does). The leather interior in a classic car to be precise. Now that I think about it, this leather accord reminds me of the interior of a (non running) 70's Fiat 124 Spyder I once had a chance to get inside of. I'm loving this. A lot. This is definitely a leather scent for car enthusiasts which, so far, makes it the second frag I've encountered of the like. The only other one is Bentley's Infinite Intense which smells like the interior of a brand new modern Audi. An hour in, this has become a skin scent. It doesn't appear to have much projection or sillage at all. Even Memo's French Leather - which is ozonic and aquatic - seems to project more. 2 hrs in I don't get the leather and tomato leaf anymore. It's been replaced by vanilla and musk. It doesn't seem to last long on skin. Either I went anosmic or it disappeared after 5 hrs.

If you can't get your hands on a sample and wonder if you should even bother trying to - here is what you can imagine to get the feel for Italian Leather: Cartier MUST Gold + Sisley eau de campagne + smoky leather = absolutely FB worthy fragrance - the galbanum and tomato leaf work their magic together to keep it interesting far into the drydown, while high quality vanilla-leather grounds them seductively in a hug of opulence. Truly unisex fragrance. E Arden's 5th avenue Royal (a great cheapie) holds some plain resemblance of the type of sweet leather accord used in MEMO's masterpiece. You can feel that vanilla-leather best in Italian Leather drydown. If you love Cartier MUST, don't mind Sisley's eau de campagne at all, and Elizabeth Arden 5th avenue Royale is something you love but wished it had a better kick, give this one a try and enjoy the magic. @GRAF - it is for those of us who like weird scents, indeed! And this one is amazing. Edit: today I was looking at my bottle, wondering if I should put it away for the season tigeyher with a bunch of other fragrances. Decided to hold on for a little longer, but I noticed what I'm grouping Italian Leather with and though it's worth sharing: Andy Tauer's l'air du desert maroccain, MFK grand soir, EA 5th Avenue Royale , Boucheron OUD de Cartagena, Amouage opus VI ... they are not the same, but if you are looking to expand your collection these might appeal to you if Italian Leather does.

One of the best and most unique offerings of Memo. I think a lot of these reviews are based on the opening alone on paper. The opening has a huge blast of greeness from the tomato leaf, mixed with a nice leather touch. Quite unique, but might come of slightly off-putting. However, iafter a few minutes, the greeness of the tomato starts to take more of a side role, letting not only the leather, but also the vanilla shine. This comes out even better on my skin. The end result is a sweet vanillic leather, that is not the typical sweet suede, but true leather smell, with the tomato leaf providing some lightness, avoiding the vanilla to cloy the scent. Very versatile, long-lasting, and decent projection. Would recommend for nearly every occasion besides office and very high heat days. If you can't put your hands on it, you can imagine as if you are taking the Leather of TF Tuscan Leather, layering with the Vanilla of Initio Absolute Aphrodisiac, and adding a unique touch of greeness with the tomato leaf (can't find this note anywhere else so far). If you can try it, I highly recommend to try it on the skin, and be patient with the drydown. It is a very unique and pleasing smell, that combines both French and Italian perfumery into one delicious concussion.

#1178 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I was under the impression that Maison Alhambra's "Roman Leather" was a dupe of this. Clearly not. It's a different and attractive scent in it's own right, but it is not a Memo Paris "Italian Leather" dupe. This "Italian Leather" is a really nice, high quality leather scent with a killer twist thanks to the undertone of tomato juice. If I hadn't known that note was tomato I'd have no explanation for why at this moment I'd kill for a can of "V8." Certainly does not remind me of Iris Malikhan (a great scent BTW), or memo's "Irish Leather", or Comme de Garcons "Copper" or Brecourt "Subversif." All great scents, but nothing like this. But for those expert olfactories that voted Rasasi "Junoon Velvet", B-B-B-B-B-BINGO! Rasasi was clearly out to clone this juice and they came very, very close, enough that I would say save yourself $175 and buy the Junoon Velvet, not this. That said, this is very attractive, great performance like most of the Memo Paris line, but not worth so much money, like most of the Memo Paris line, unless you can find a steeply discounted tester at $100 or thereabouts. Versatile and acceptable anywhere, anytime, but I would say it's a cold weather wear.

A very interesting fragrance indeed. Italian Leather opens as a tomato Leaf and sage scent with a sweet, creamy Cannoli vibe. It is very Green without being fresh and clean. I get more of an Italian spices green with hints of citrus and earth. Like taking a stroll through an Italian garden while holding a box of cannolis. I don't get a lot of leather in this one, just traces. The dry down adds a sweet, creamy and woody vibe with a little more leather. IL is a very well blended fragrance. Excellent quality juice with great projection and longevity on my skin. Although it is listed a unisex, I find IL to lean more to the masculine side than the feminine side, to my nose. A good scent for formal as well as trendy casual. Overall a very good scent, but not worth the high price. If I find a good deal I will be adding a bottle to my collection, but not at the current retail prices. Bottom line: If you would like a different type of green / sweet / leather scent, you should try a sample of this one.

Fragrance -Italian Leather Memo Paris Bottle from - 2015 I was afraid to blind buy this one because of tomato leaf note.When I first sniffed this fragrance,Oh boy.What a beautiful scent.Leather in combo with tomato leaf,heavy resins and vanilla is just amazing.African Leather is also nice. Longevity - 9/10(9+hours) Silage/projection -8/10(nice projection for the first 2-3 hours,silage also exist) Weather - autumn,winter Age - 28+ Compliments - 8/10 Scent - 9/10(beautifull and unique leather-based fragrance) Main notes according to me - tomato leaf,leather,vanilla,clary sage,sandalwood,benzoin. The drydown is nice and i get some woodiness,vanilla, leather and musk. Emotions -luxurious,elegant,sophisticated,class,dark vibe, rich Perfect for nights out,formal events and special occasions. Very sophisticated,unique,intoxicating and complex scent. You'll get compliments with this one.Try before you buy.

One of the best purchases I’ve ever made. Vegetal and green tomato leaves meets soft powdery vanilla. But the real MVP is the leather that starts to creep out about 90 minutes in. It helps it develop into the stuff dreams are made out of. A noticeable leather accord with a vanilla-iris thing going on in the background. But still maintaining the green opening, minus the sharpness. This would be my favorite fragrance of all time if the 2014 Valentino Uomo didn’t exist. This scent isn’t for everyone, the green note is sharp. And leather can become a little intense on the tail end of this fragrance (noticeably strong for projection, 7-9 hours) but for me, it combines everything I love about fragrance into 1 bottle. Something I can pay $200 for and not regret it 1 bit 3 years later Edit: it’s been 2 years since I wrote this, my opinion hasn’t changed. This is still a unique 10/10.

First off- I managed to buy this at price so low I couldn't have cared if I didn't like it. Under $100AUD! Ok, for me I fkn love this scent. It's much more of a masculine scent in my opinion with the base notes being leather, musk, sandle wood etc. I find the opening of tomato leaf just an amazing pop which as a gardener I know so well. Lasts all day, I squirt a couple on my jumper and it will still be there in the morning... so when I leave for night shift, I'll sometimes squirt it on the pillow before I go (cause im cute like that). Nobody has said they dont like it, complements all round. However, no perfume is worth over $200 a bottle... I would never buy this at full cost. In other news, as I loved this so much... I have found a knock off that smells and lasts just as good (in Australia) for under $50AUD. I will be buying that next time.

This one is undoubtedly the best of the three in my opinion. The top notes are interestingly fresh I find that tomato leaf note is more the greeness of galbanum but I can see how it comes over that way...after all what's more Itailian than a tomato? There's sweetness and sharpness from orris root and labdanum. The leather is a little spicy, resinous, peppery and even medicinal I can smell myrrh in here quite heavily as it settles. That opening is very good, a touch green but warm and resinous too, never strong or overbearing. The drydown is different again with a soft ambery vanilla developing at the back of all this. Italian leather is interesting from the point of view of a progressive scent which delivers what I consider a more masculine leaning fragrance. The perfomance is pretty good...it's worth checking out this one.

From my personal points of reference, this smells like the neck of a gorgeous male lover who's been sitting in the sun, awaiting your arrival. He's freshly showered and shaved, and wearing a crisp tshirt and beautiful leather jacket. The fragrance notes list tomato leaf, and the green leaves and hairy stems of a tomato plant are certainly in the peppery green opening. However the dry down offers the sweet, sun-ripened flesh of the tomato fruit itself. Along with vanilla, orris root and musk, it conjures smooth, ripe, bitable flesh. While my associations of this bring to mind a handsome man, this perfume is perfectly genderless. I blind bought this perfume, being a tomato lover. Today is my first time of many to wear and love it. I will also encourage my husband to wear it. Unconventional, intriguing, and sensual.

This is one of those rare fragrances that just clicks for me. From the first wear, it felt familiar—like it already belonged in my rotation. The leather is smooth and refined, not harsh or overly rugged. It’s blended in a way that feels natural, with a subtle warmth and slight sweetness that keeps it inviting. What I appreciate most is how wearable it is. This isn’t a “special occasion” leather—it sits comfortably on my skin and feels like an extension of my style: textured, a little rugged, but still put together. Wore this out to dinner and it just worked. Not loud, but it pulled people in. My wife couldn’t stop commenting on it, which says more than anything else. Quiet confidence is the best way to describe it. Easy to wear, hard to get tired of, and just feels like me. Rating: 9/10

Finally a leather fragrance that does not copy Tom Ford Tuscan Leather !! Leather is my favorite note but was tired of smelling a leather fragrance and comparing it to TL. Very unique leather here, also very wearable. You get a blast of tomato leaf, some leather and a touch of vanilla at the opening. It is very green and kind of fresh when it starts, but the dry down is completely the opposite. When the resins start to pop out at the dry down, the leather becomes somewhat animalistic and smokey.You still have the tomato leaf but less pronounced and the vanilla becomes more present in the composition. Such a beautiful fragrance, worthy of calling a MASTERPIECE !!! Full bottle worthy for sure, and the best is that you wont be smelling like the other 50 leather fragrances out there.

This is a beautiful, intriguing scent! I feel like I should be writing in all caps but I don’t want to be annoying.... but this is oddly apealing to me. I pick up equal parts leather and tomato leaf in the opening, a little vanilla sweetness. Then incense and herbs come out in the drydown. The base has sandalwood taking it past the 6hr mark. No one else has commented on smelling a chocolate note, but i pick it up in the opening and then occasionally in the drydown. I’m not sure which note or accord is responsible but I’m curious if anyone else has the same reaction. This review is coming after one wearing, so it may not be complete. I’m considering a decant because I like it so much. I’ll add that on my skin this leans masculine (for what it’s worth).

This might be my favorite fragrance. Tomato leaf, a bit of leather, a bit of vanilla. It sounds horrible but is absolutely perfect. Different than anything else, beautiful and subtle. To me it’s unisex, and as a man I may make this my main signature. The tomato leaf is green in an unexpected, juicy, not at all earthy way. It’s not overpowering, and could be worn anywhere outside maybe a nightclub, although I detest most fragrances that would work in a nightclub. I feel like on a man it’s over 30, smart, contemplative, not flashy, not mainstream. Something for an artist to wear. I bought the clone, Roman Leather, which is definitely close but also misses the magic of the perfect blending here. Will definitely go for a full bottle of the original.

I love this one! The only leather I’ve felt compelled to buy a full bottle of, Italian Leather doesn’t strike me as Italian at all. The tomato leaf is the real star for me. It’s savory, spicy, then sweet. Sexy throughout. I am unlucky with many frags in the longevity department, many that last for eons on others vanish on me. Not this one. In fact, everything I’ve tried from Memo has incredible lasting power. The beautiful design and luxury feel are bonuses, and welcome at this price point. This is not for every day (or even every night) but it wows me whenever I wear it. I wore TF Velvet Orchid for a few years as my go-to evening frag and this feels a bit like a more unusual, risk-taking version of that: heavy, distinctive, intoxicating.

I found this fragrance because I love tomato leaf! NB this is the sexiest tomato I have found. I splurged on a full bottle after falling in love with it, and it’s one of if not the most sophisticated composition I’ve come across that incorporates this note. It’s heavy—I agree with others who suggest winter wear, and the green spiciness feels extra crunchy and crisp in cold weather. Dimensional and memorable, with decent sillage...but I will be curious to try Junoon Velvet when I reach the dregs of my bottle. I love this as much now as I did when I reviewed it years ago.

This is one of the fragrances ( and I recommend you always ) test on skin and don't judge based on the first few second of the opening. If you smell this from a dabber or even on paper it smells like a strange resinous floral fragrance with a pale leather in the base. On skin and how it really smells is bright and energetic leather, well blended with cocoa or a chocolaty patchouli.There really isn't any citrus, which gave this fragrance more of a refined than casual feel, which I like. Overall this was a dislike, but became a like after actually testing it. good to fair projection, good to great sillage and lasts 8 hours or more. This line seems to adhere to clothes too

For me this was love at first sniff. It is a very soft wild leather originally moistured in a mix of green tomato leaf juice, myrrh, balsams, spices, sandalwood and a touch of vanilla. It is really fine layered and lasts over 9 hours. It isn't actually sweet, somehow velvety green and not exactly manly. This isn't the leather that screams loud you're used to in men scents. Bottega Veneta leathers (in women versions) are already obvious, this isn't really close to those. This is for me probably the best leather scent, exactly because the note is discretely put in scene und combines harmoniously with the other notes. Memo did it perfectly! To use in colder seasons.

Sprung and got myself the 10ML travel spray. it was hard convincing myself i need another leather based frag, but this one is fairly unique. * Side note - i did order and give "ROME" by Alexandria fragrances a try ... did not do this scent chemistry justice. it lacked that rich quality that's become synonymous with Memo perfumes. anyways, notes wise - i get a trio trifecta of 3 notes that just smell so damn good together, this beautiful leather accord, a warm and organic natural vanilla and this superbly realistic tomato leaf note. this scent lasted on my skin for 12 Hours, although it was a skin scent after about 6. first 2 hours hand some heavy projection. a

This is one of the most intoxicating leather fragrances I've ever experienced next to Cuir Ottoman and Aoud Leather. Only it is more elegant and resplendent. The tomato leaf gives it a subtle green flare no other leather based fragrance has. My favorite part is the cozy ensemble of resins that play well with the leather itself. I wasn't expecting this level of refinement and luxury. When it comes to fragrance, I'm all about mood. Wear what you feel and in that moment, embrace that feeling. However, there is a time and most certainly a place to wear Italian Leather. Something so classy should be reserved for a worthy occasion.

green, resinous, slightly creamy leather, with a unique, smooth/crisp duality. I love the balance Italian Leather finds with its eponymous note. Leather is very much the core of IL, but it's far from the entirety of the fragrance. Creamy vanilla, tender plant-ish notes, and warm resins unfold from that supple leather center. IL is a crisp, green, and textural leather—warm but fresh. Also, surprisingly unisex. I find this a cousin (but not a sibling) to Amouage Interlude Man. It lacks Interlude’s slightly dirty smokiness and strong air of mystery. Italian Leather is sweeter, more leather-centric, and more approachable.

Never mind the vanilla and tomatoes, I LOVE it to bits! This one is green, animatic and leathery. I swear that I also get some hints of wood and moss in there with a bit of spice added in for good measure. You only need 2 squirts, as it is quite strong, with great silage, and can be worn all year round and in the evenings. This scent leans masculine but its slight flowery fragrance makes it easily wearable by women. The wearer is a confident and charming person, who is a little cheeky, but intriguing at the same time. And yes.... It oozes sex Rating: 9/10

Toasty vanilla and wonderfully done imaginary note off tomato leaf, in the air and scent trail it reminds one off Layton, upp close its all Juniper green leafy spicy resin IL has the same Iris note like in Irish leather, but its not as strong or long lasting in Italian leather. And its gives way to the balsam and vanilla Its jam packed w naturals so it gives different smell experience depending on the weather and skin, a true masterpiece imo its my favorite off the Juniper Iris leather bunch, and tweaks the more harsh leather profile. This is!! perfume!.

My favourite in their Cuir collection. Generally, one of my favourites in all categories. I will probably always have a bottle of this, as it fits my personality just right —okok, 99.9999% right. Well-rounded blend, hard to pull apart into individual notes. It gives a je ne sais quoi of her bag having a strong leather scent (is it a new one?), a hint of tobacco (was she with a smoker?), musk (gosh, even her sweat smells amazing), and a dash of sweetness (her perfume must have worn off). Not to be worn in warm weather.

I didn't like it at first. Hated it actually. My sample was left untouched and forgotten for months til I felt like giving it another chance the other day. It was so beautiful and I kept on getting whiffs of it throughout the day well beyond the 10hr mark. Some of it got to my hair when I sprayed on my neck. The smell was there even after washing my hair after my shift at work ended.. That was almost 24 hours after spraying. And I could still smell it beyond 24 hours while at home lounging. Wow!

opens up very green to me ( due to the tomato leaf ) but i find it the top notes is very sexy ! ( green , leathery , a tad sweet ) and as it dries down i kinda get a nutty and chocolatey vibes in it. But among all Memo's Cuir Nomade line , i find that Italian leather has the most leather smell. Do be careful with this fragrance tho, it's polarizing. For me, 4-6 sprays is enough, and it'll last you all day ! ( trust me the longer you wear this, it smells heavenly ! )

Revisiting this one today after wearing the absolute s#@$ out of it when I first got it. That tomato leaf hits right out of the gate and made me remember why I love this one so much. Smoothly blended with a soft leather and slightly sweet/balsamic undertones. Performance is great, strong projection and longevity for me is 8+, don’t need more than 3-4 sprays. I can see where this wouldn’t be for everyone, the tomato leaf is different - but I love it!

So mainly its leather, resins and tomato leaf, a beautiful more vegetal, balsamic and vanillic version of Irish leather and with more character .. It's such a unique and pleasant smell.. The vegetable vibes with resins keep going from start till the near end of the fragrance and surprisingly I like it.. but as an overall it still can't touch the beauty and versatility of African leather

An Absolut gourmand fragrance. The tomato note bring back to lowkey my childhood. Imagine you are walking in a leather store or manifacturer in 2009. All the leather jackets has freshly picking tomatoes inside their pocket. An absolut masterpiece. The projection and longevity is not beast mode. But it's pretty good imo.

@pharaoh Interesting conspiracy theory, but I’m sorry to disappoint: I have no connection to Memo other than stumbling upon the line 2 weeks ago on a trip to The Perfume House in Portland, Oregon. I’m just a perfume fanatic who also grows plants, hence my knowledge about the scent of tomato leaves.

Vanilia-Leather-resins... wonderful, deep, smokey but calming (not a kind of a "Screaming"-masculine leather scents) and longlasting... after 7h is still noticable!!! At the beginnig a lttle bit harsh (tomato leaf?) /Leather as a main note/ with a very warm vanilla-incense base. I'm impressed!!!

This right here is something else—so unique, so smooth, so well-blended that I had to make it my signature scent. The photorealistic tomato leaf works beautifully with the leather, giving it a nostalgic feel. It’s definitely a fragrance you’ll either love or hate, but for me, it’s perfection.

I am in love with this. I honestly didn’t know what to expect from this one and I was pleasantly surprised. Was worried the tomato leaf would be too much but everything blends so well together. Go easy on the sprays however. Have not been surprised by a fragrance for a long time! Very happy.

Love this stuff! The juxtaposition of the green tomato leaf with the sweetness of the vanilla just works! Tomato leaf in some other fragrances I was not really digging. I love this from opening to the awesome drydown. Others might have a different experience but I am lucky with mine.😀

it happens that i used to grow plants myself (including tomatoes) and yes this fragrance has a crispy green vibe of tomato leaves to my nose and yes it happens that i love it the most among leather fragrances :) - that's actually what we call "body chemistry"

Here's a perfect example of why you can't go by note break down cuz when I read this note breakdown I didn't think I'd like it... but oh my God what a beautiful fragrance. So far my favorite from this house. Projection & sillage is beast mode on my skin.

@pharaoh I do know what tomato leaf and stem smells like and it’s done well in this interpretation. In fact, it’s one of my favorite things about growing them. (I’m not offended you don’t like Italian Leather, and I’m hoping you don’t get downvoted.)

For me, this is a true Memo perfume, a trademark. Leather, Vanilla ,Myrrh... Perfect balance, sweet but slightly. My Favorite. But have to say that African, Moroccan, Oriental leather belongs to my top 5 memo fragrances.

The opponax will deter many who has given this a full wearing. The dirty note makes it a bit Smokey and trash-truckish... It’s still a great scent but when ur nose starts to dig deep behind it, you can’t unsmell it.

Did I just read a review that said this is a “ chemical mess “ ? *MOUTHDROP The Pharoah, you are tripping something serious. ITALIAN LEATHER is one of the most magical and amazing compositions I’ve ever smelled.

I love this! It smells like a leather backpack filled with green leaves and tomatoes. I don't smell the vanilla. This last a long time and projects off me, especially on clothes. I would wear this year round.
