Marfa Spices

I have tried at Neiman Marcus and ... it's amazing !!! If you like tuberouse, you must try this one. It's the flower perfectly blended with spices. My number 1 perfume is Carnal Flower and I finally found a serious competitor. The only and major con was the price, $545 is not for everyone's pocket. Who knows...

I love this scent! The balance between the notes are amazing i can smell all of them. It’s similar to marfa but more intense and it reminds me of grand soir too. This scent feels like drinking wine in Amalfi at midnight with the love of your life.

I love cardamom but this is the perfume that made realize I love tuberose. Sweet fresh and lush. Well balanced with the spices with that cedar note in the background. Gorgeous scent if you like tuberose and spice with some sweetness.

It’s lovely but just literally marfa and a lot of cardamom? I was expecting more with the price increase I guess? The “spices” overshadow florals quite a bit; marfa spices is a woody/spicy with a little white floral hiding in the back; whereas the florals are the most prominent element in marfa. Absolutely different experience than the reviews below re:tuberose. The tuberose is at least detectable, but she’s certainly only a member of the chorus; absolutely not the main cast~ Stick to Marfa Prime if you were hoping for more tuberose <3

I did smell this back in October at the Memo counter in Bergdorf Goodman in New York. The BA told us it was coming out in 2018. It is ok; nothing amazing. We liked Eau de Memo much better. This is a smoother version of the original Marfa; they just added Cardamon, so don't expect a spice bomb. The cardamon does help tone down the floralness of the tuberose, making this a more unisex version in my opinion.

231 Nice opening of cardamom and tuberose, but that doesn’t last. I know of another fragrance with similar notes which last longer into the dry down even if not powerful. This one is weak too but has an unpleasant dry down. 6/10-spice and floral doesn’t last, turns stemmy, earthy(patchouli?), soapy.

So here's my thoughts after sampling a few times...It's basically Marfa with the addition of Cardamom. Knock it off Memo, you're better than that!

I owned, own, wear and love several Memo Paris fragrances. Recently decided to change things up from Memo Paris "Marfa," which I previously owned and wore frequently. I have steadily collected and worn fragrance over the past 30 years. Marfa Spices is just not a good fragrance, no matter how you slice it... The accords and notes in Marfa Spices are simply not well-blended, or fragrant. As others have stated, Marfa Spices is an iteration of Marfa with extremely rough, caustic and irritating opening spicy notes. Within 10 minutes, Marfa Spices dries down to Marfa. To me, the spices in this perfume lean extremely masculine (although I dislike gender-categorizing fragrances). With this said, the pungent opening spices seem misplaced and just sorta "thrown in" for the sake of producing a ridiculously expensive, horrid flanker. This is the FIRST expensive, full-bottle, niche perfume I've ever IMMEDIATELY returned to the retailer. First ever. I feel duped and bamboozled. Marfa Spices is just dreadful...
