Marfa

Marfa is a smooth, refined white floral scent, nothing unusual, but a high-quality example of its genre. Elegant and feminine, it exudes luxury but remains polite - a rich-yet-muted composition made with top-quality materials. The creamy white floral bouquet that forms the crux of this scent is evident from initial spray, smooth and sweet. It opens with orange blossom, a note I'm growing increasingly tired of, given its ubiquity across modern mass-market feminine scents. Here, however, it is restrained instead of syrupy - an elevated example of its inclusion in perfume. It adds sweetness up top while paving the way to the bouquet at the heart of this scent. A mellow, refined tuberose note follows, becoming increasingly prominent as this scent develops on my skin. Sweet and smooth, it is not a challenging iteration of tuberose, i.e. carnal/camphorous/meaty etc. It isn't too muted, but is polite. The ylang ylang follows, becoming dominant; its smooth, tropical sweetness a lovely addition here. It isn't cloying - instead it is wonderfully measured, a seamless development from the orange blossom's tropical sweetness of the opening. As it dries down, vanilla keeps things sweet in the base. Dry and powdery rather than syrupy, it is deeply satisfying. Soft woods creep in, and it becomes increasingly musky as it fades without becoming animalic. Sillage is moderate and longevity is long-lasting. It is a feminine scent in my opinion, appropriate for year-round use. It is very versatile and easy-to-wear, and is well-blended. While Marfa is a fairly simple scent that doesn't take any risks or break new ground, it is a high-quality, elevated version of similar scents - an improvement on a classic formula. Great bottle design too. Timeless feminine elegance by way of a sweet white floral bouquet. 4.5/5.

Oh, Memo. I hate myself for loving you. The top reasons being the outrageous pricing, and the crowd pleasing aspects of the fragrances. Memos are like the best looking kid in a school, an obvious choice. They’re not exactly counter-culture, and they’re definitely not challenging. Just high quality well constructed fragrance. Reviewing this fragrance makes me feel like I’m reviewing the Beatles like “wow, great band!” Marfa is the second Memo big hit fragrance I’ve brought home for sampling. I loved it as soon as I smelled it. I think my eyes may have rolled back in my head with pleasure. And of COURSE I would love it. It smells like ethereal tuberose blossoms floating in a bowl of chilled milk that just floated up your nose on a vanilla marshmallow cloud. There’s a little clean white musk urging me into a sublime detergent commercial visual- bright sunshine illuminating cool white clothes flapping in the wind on old fashioned clothes lines. There’s just a hint of something botanical like sweet grass but better, I think it’s the agave plant listed in the pyramid. When I wear this, I feel like I am staring into a clear blue sky with just a smattering of fluffy clouds. If there is a personal style to go with this blend, it’s “casually pulled together”. It reminds me of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, but Marfa is universal enough to make anyone smell like they have effortless style. I ran my sample by the boyfriend, but I knew he would instantly appreciate it. I hate that I’ll be buying a bottle of this, but also I love it because it smells so. damn. good. Update: I thought this would make a good summer scent. As it turns out, a tuberose by any other name is still a tuberose and it was too thick for the summer. It’s fitting perfectly for this Spring, though.

I’ve gone through 5 bottles of Marfa already, which honestly says everything about how much I love this fragrance. It’s one of the most versatile signature scents I own and somehow manages to fit almost every occasion while still feeling unique and recognizable. To me, this is a truly unisex perfume done perfectly. The stars of the fragrance are definitely the tuberose, ylang-ylang, and especially the orange blossom. The white florals are rich, creamy, and radiant from the very beginning. As it settles on the skin, the vanilla bean and sandalwood become much more noticeable, adding this soft warm depth underneath the floral explosion. If you dislike tuberose, stay far away from this perfume because it is unapologetically white floral-heavy. I think it can work in all four seasons, although the tuberose might become overwhelming in extreme summer heat, while in winter it can sometimes feel a little too airy. Still, I keep reaching for it constantly. I almost always layer it with Ysl Supreme Bouquet and the combination is absolutely stunning — I cannot recommend it enough. Sillage is enormous and the longevity is very long-lasting, which makes it even more impressive as a signature scent. My only complaint is the new packaging. I genuinely wish Memo would bring back the old bottle design because the newer packaging takes away so much of Marfa’s original aura and luxurious feeling. The old presentation matched the magic of the scent far better. 9/10 (I took one point off because of the new packaging.)

I've developed a colossal headache attempting to re-write my original review from May 2025. Upon reading so many different and conflicting reviews about Marfa, I can only say "fragrance is a highly subjective experience." When I wear Marfa, I cannot stop sniffing my wrists, or clothing. I am really loving this fragrance. From all the photorealistic tuberose fragrances I've tried, for me Marfa is the most wearable. Marfa opens and wears as an undeniable, realistic, tuberose plant fragrance (quite similar to Fracas, or Carnal Flower). Marfa is a full-on, tuberose experience in which the tuberose plant is used in its entirety...blooms, blossoms, stems, leaves and a little bit of dirt for good measure. However, after the unmistakable tuberose opening, I immediately sense a very fruity sweetness...definitely peach & bergamot. I usually detest fruity-floral, or fruitchouli fragrances. But the peach and bergamot in Marfa seamlessly blend with the opening tuberose. And to my nose, the merger of fruity sweetness with slightly indolic tuberose is perfection. As Marfa settles and develops on skin, a gentle and sweet vanilla note presents, along with lots of woods, musk, tonka and tuberose. In short time, the fragrance lands as a slightly creamy, musky, resinous, slightly sweet, vanilla-tuberose scent. Marfa certainly is unique. I like Marfa a whole lot...almost crosses over to a love. I have been a big fan of Marfa ever since I smelled it at the Printemps in NYC a year ago. In the winter months I don't find myself reaching for it as much, but as soon as it's warmer out, Marfa becomes my go-to fragrance. Recently the bottle changed, and despite what I read online after researching far and wide, the scent has changed (a lot of sources say it has not). At first I thought perhaps my old bottle was just... old... hence the scent was different from this new bottle I purchased from Nose Paris recently with the new design/boxing. But then I purchased an "old" design bottle that was from a 2025 batch (with the metal plate that has the eye on it) and i sprayed the new design scent on my left hand, the old design scent on my right hand, and everyone from my husband to my 6 year old daughter could tell the difference. The new scent is lighter, way less creamy, does not last as long, and almost a "l'eau" vs. the old "parfum-like" intensity. On days I spray the new scent in the morning, I barely smell it at all 4 hours in. Whereas the older formulation, if we can even call it that, lasts for at least 8 hours. I'm heartbroken and disappointed, further exacerbated by the fact that the company has been telling a big fat lie about how it has not changed at all, when in reality, any amateur with a working nose can tell that it has. For the worse.

Memo Paris – Marfa Marfa is, without question, one of my favorite interpretations of tuberose. To me, it feels like light itself. The opening is luminous and gently fruity. I don’t perceive a distinctly prominent peach; rather, it feels more like peach blossom — airy, soft, and subtly radiant. The fruitiness is delicate and refined, never syrupy. The heart of the fragrance is devoted to florals. Tuberose and ylang-ylang shine in this composition, creating a solar, creamy bouquet. The tuberose here is not harsh or overwhelming; it feels rounded and warm, almost glowing from within. The true magic unfolds in the drydown. Musk and vanilla blend seamlessly with creamy sandalwood and a touch of tonka, forming a smooth, enveloping base. On my skin, it develops a sweetness that is difficult to describe. It is not sticky or sugary — rather, it feels like a dry sweetness, elegant and mature. This is one of the most complex drydowns I own. The vanilla and musk soften the florals, while the woods add structure. The result is creamy yet not primarily sweet, rounded yet subtly animalic. It is sensual without being loud. Marfa is not for everyone. Tuberose can be demanding. But on my skin, it becomes balanced — creamy, musky, slightly woody, and deeply feminine. For me, it is both light and depth. Solar, yet intimate. Powerful, yet beautifully controlled.

This fragrance smells so good that I want to cry. No joke. I can't even explain it. I have never smelled something so beautiful as this! After you spray it it does come of a bit harsh, but give it 15-30 minutes and the fragrance melts into the skin and gives of a soft, sweet, blossoming scent. This is a very soft and sweet floral scent, nothing like any another fragrance (I own or have ever smelled). It's expensive but it's so worth it! *Update* I've been using this fragrance for some days now and I have gotten to known it a bit better. When I read the reviews, witch says that this is a strong and long lasting fragrance I just couldn't get it. To me this fragrance is so soft that I inhale my skin. Yesterday I sprayed just a bit on a test strip and left it in the living room. I now realize that this fragrance most likely knocks out my olfactory sense when I wear it (combined with the fact that my skin sucks up fragrance like nothing else). This fragrance projects and it most likely have very good longevity, my olfactory sense just adapts to this scent very quickly. The point to this story is that when I enter my living room several hours after I sprayed the test strip this lovely scent hits my face. It's so sad that I can't smell it on my self, but sure hope others enjoy the fragrance on me.

The entire time that I've been into perfumery I've been searching for the ultimate masculine white floral fragrance (or even unisex), and Marfa is probably the best one I've encountered so far. The tuberose here is very prominent, but it's unlike any other tuberose I've ever smelled. It is fresh and dewy but it specifically doesn't beat you over the head with white floralness. Also worth noting is a creamy vanilla-marshmallow accord which pairs perfectly with the heady florals and white musk. The woodsy-agave notes add a relaxed, casual quality to the fragrance, and it is a perfect olfactive reference to the desert landscape of Marfa, Texas. There is a barbershoppy, almost fougere quality to this fragrance that links it to men's perfumery in a way that would make Marfa very accessible for men to wear and enjoy. Some of my favorite fragrances of all time are the ones that successfully bridge the gaps between different "genres" of fragrances, and Marfa pulls this off amazingly. I could go on and on describing this fragrance: it is artistic, charming, stylish, offbeat, and vibrant. The sillage and longevity are like a big Texas personality. I love this fragrance so much that I may even start saving up to buy a bottle of my own.

❤️Memo Paris Marfa❤️ Marfa is one of my favorite perfumes and probably my favorite tuberose fragrance. What makes Marfa special to me is the contrast between its different facets. The opening has a beautiful green freshness, almost as if you’re walking through a garden before reaching the flowers. Then, the tuberose begins to bloom, becoming creamy, solar, and incredibly comforting. Unlike many white floral fragrances that can feel sharp or overwhelming, Marfa feels soft and addictive on my skin. The agave adds a unique sweetness that blends beautifully with the tuberose, creating a scent that feels both exotic and cozy. There is something almost dreamy about this fragrance. It transports me to a warm place filled with sunlight, white flowers, and desert air. It’s elegant without feeling formal and comforting without becoming a typical gourmand. I own many perfumes, but Marfa is one of the few that truly feels special every time I wear it. It’s the kind of fragrance that makes me stop what I’m doing just to smell my wrist. For me, this is not just a perfume—it’s an experience. 10/10. A forever favorite.❤️

LOOOVE the scent. At first I was walking by their pop-up store and a sales associate offered me three of their 1,5mL samples just by visiting their booth and OF COURSE I couldn't resist it. and by the way I ended up not only visiting the well-decorated booth for the vial but also tried almost everything I could grab. The saleswoman said the Marfa was their best-selling so yes I tried it on the skin. At first I wasn't very sure about liking it or not since it was an ordinary creamy white floral with a hint of citrus. Like, "okay miss basic" but then along the way when I re-sniff the wrist, LOOOVE the dry down. It actually blends well with my body chemistry. It was creamy, but not in a cloying way. Like a sweet floral. I could imagine a night Bali life (idk just my interpretation). This lasts well on my skin too. At the end I received a bag of the promised vial (3 random scents), to my surprise Marfa WAS INCLUDED. So happy I could actually try it on fresh skin (after shower and not wearing anything prior, just the scent) and yes, Imma buy the full size for my birthday (BRB saving hardddd)

Marfa! Marfa! Marfa! The scent that started my Memo Paris collection! One autumn day in an Anthropologie - I sprayed on my wrist and I shopped around. An hour or so later, I began to wonder where that nice scent was coming from, only to realize it was my wrist ! The scent remained all through the time I was shopping. It’s a fresh floral with not-so-girly vibes. I am not inclined to tuberose scents and was surprised to read that this floral was tuberose. Michael Kors has tuberose scents and I never loved them. Marfa is not one of those pretentious scents. It’s a passionate fragrance. Age group : 30-55 , not recommended for wear to school or work (if you work in an office, no). This scent stays on clothes longer than the skin. The bottle is dark which helps preserve it! Majority of my perfumes are stored in their original boxes because of the clear glass. Marfa, is good on its own, kept in a cool dark room.

I underestimated you so much because of your popularity. Actually you are a perfect piece. Neither floral nor vanilla nor anything else can define you. You are something very different. It's a baby-like scent, but it's also a sign of power. both innocent and sensual. The more you smell it, the more you want to smell it. In this piece, Memo produced a man-eater weapon. I don't think it would suit men, I think men would die for it. It's completely on the feminine side. I usually visualize smells in my mind. When I smell this, I think of the light expensive shampoo scent on the body after a clean shower, a freshly washed mini satin black dress, a vanilla powdered cake with a glass of sweetened peach jasmine tea drinking on a high balcony overlooking the forest at dusk. A clean scent. Very elegant and special. both innocent and seductive. I ordered it as a 24th birthday gift to myself :)

My collection is full of these complex, artsy, artisanal, hard to decipher, moody, vintage smelling or vintage bottles with a lot of character, which I adore and wear no matter time and occasion, but sometimes I wake up craving simplicity, a no brainer, a crowdpleaser, something which I can take on vacation and I can rest assured I am going to enjoy it no matter weather and mood. I love the MEMO line for serving just that, no-brainers with the highest quality a no-brainer can wish for. Marfa is a great and easy tuberose with tiny winks towards the "advanced" tuberoses, a pinch of indoles, a dab of cigarette smoke, a whisper of motor oil, but all in all a clean and polished "alien" flower, stripped down to its core from all of its rough and natural floweriness. Marfa is a town where people have observed paranormal activity, strange ghost lights so that way the name is fitting.

Marfa is, for me, an incredibly captivating and charismatic fragrance. Although the green, vibrant tuberose in the opening can feel a bit challenging at first spray, as it dries down it develops a creamy, sweet, and powdery character through the tuberose and the vanilla notes within. I think it’s at its most beautiful after it has fully dried down. Over time, the perfume takes on a matte, soft, dry, and distinctive texture. Its projection, longevity, and overall performance are exceptionally strong. I can still clearly smell it on my clothes even weeks later. Especially suitable for colder weather, this fragrance offers a deeply satisfying level of richness and blend quality. However, at times, particularly in the opening, I get a fleeting impression of a woman who has been smoking and then sprayed this perfume. That sensation doesn’t happen consistently, though.

FULL BOTTLE WORTHY. So lovely. Reminds me of a creamier Prell shampoo. I’ve loved the smell of Prell since childhood. Love floral fragrances, in general, and tuberose does no wrong in my book. It's a polarizing note, but I say Marfa's tuberose is a mass-appealing one. It’s done a little more uniquely here. Still fragrant, but softer. A less pungent tuberose. Buttery. Tempered by creaminess. Well-balanced by fruits and other florals. Marfa is delicately sweet. Slightly woody. There’s a pleasant, light musk. Some combination of notes gives me hints of tobacco and coffee; almost coconutty. Magnificent on my skin. Serene, warm, interesting, attractive, exotic, and cocooning. A beautifully blended MASTERPIECE.

I am not someone who typically goes for floral-centric perfumes, but I am SO glad I stepped outside my comfort zone and tried Marfa. It has a little bit of sharp green freshness in the initial spray (in a good way, imo), then you can smell the lightly sweet orange blossom and tuberose. After a few hours, it transitions into something that's almost coconutty. Overall, Marfa is smooth, a little creamy, a little sweet (but definitely not gourmand level sweet), and just the right amount of floral. It truly smells like someone who can afford fancy vacations. I am obsessed and in love. I will likely keep this beauty in my collection for as long as Memo continues making it.

I own so many fragrances, but I’ve never smelled anything quite like this. On my skin, the opening feels softly floral with a touch of citrus brightness. In the dry down, though, it transforms into something unexpected clean and almost shampoo-like, layered with a subtle hint of tobacco and smoke, even though those notes aren’t officially listed. I’m not typically drawn to smoky or tobacco scents, but the way this blends with my skin chemistry is beautiful. It feels comforting, effortlessly unisex, and still carries a gentle sweetness that makes it incredibly wearable.

This is like going to heaven and being asked to stay! Absolutely S.T.U.N.N.I.N.G! I got this as a sample in a free gift from Cult Beauty. It was love at first whiff and I immediately purchased a full size bottle. I was so excited! It's a beautiful tuberose with a beautiful leathery undertone and hints of tobacco that I really didn't pick up until I'd nearly finished my first bottle. This is definitely one of my all time favorites now. Definitely will be repurchased at some point. I just love it. Everyone around me loved it too. It's just so elegant and classy. I'm smitten! ❤️

This is LOVELY! I see the comparisson to Vert Malachite, but that one is a lot heavier, more indulgent. For a white floral scent Marfa seems quite modern and a bit dry. The opening is a bit sharp due to the orange blossom. Then the drydown turns this into the most luxurious summer scent. Forget about Soleil Blanc and others - this smells expensive, this is a short summer dress and skinny heels with a designer bag. IN LOVE.

Only thing i want to write is that, i fell in love with my girlfriend when she was wearing this. Every time she was passing by this smell hit my whole body and made me want to smell her more. Amazing vanilla-creamy white floral and almost banana-like inviting smell that makes the people around you want to eat you. Addicting, 100/10, mesmerising. If you don’t want people near you to fell in love with you, do not buy it.

Stunning obsessed 🤩 it somehow smells like a rainforest but also creamy and beachy. It’s so pretty but it stands out. It’s more for someone late 20s and up. I’m 34 and I find it very upmarket and expensive smelling. The tuberose is so well blended while the agave note sweetens it just enough and it works like a charm on the skin. Green opening lasts for about 10 mins but the dry down is the best, truly scrumptious. 🥰

This opens with a juicy peach and then tuberose makes an appearance with some zesty citrus. Once it settles Marfa smells like sweet hay out in the contryside, sunny and warm, not particularly floral, rather like dry grass and meadow flowers in the heat of summer. To me tuberose really shines by the end which I am thrilled about, it is smooth and gentle fade in my skin . Marfa is long lasting , Love 💗

That's it, wrap it up, this is the best vanilla-tuberosis that can possibly be smelled by the human olfactory system. It just smells like being teleported into an otherworldly desert with a purple sky and fantastic creatures. I would say that it smells slightly more feminine but it can definitely work for men. Creamy and captivating, what else is there to say ? A masterfully crafted piece of art.

Tuberose surrounded by a very green and sharp agave. The green accord in this fragrance makes it stand out, for sure. I’d even say it gives it a bit of a ‘weird’ feeling — you expect a simple white floral and get a perplexing green smell around it. It makes sense: after all, Marfa is known for mysterious, unexplained light sightings, and a Prada store in the middle of the desert.

This smells like pure luxury. Like you’re on a holiday in a nice 5 star hotel. It’s very floral, but I don’t find it too feminine. It just smells clean and kind of spicy on my skin. Kind of a detergent vibe to it. Really unique fragrance, haven’t smelled anything like this before. Do not blind buy this!! Test it out first, may not be everyones cup of tea.

Underrated gem of creamy tuberose, sweet orange blossom, vanilla and musky woods. Very strong- you MUST be a fan of both tuberose and orange blossom to appreciate this one. I wore this on my last tropical beach resort vacation and it was perfect and garnered many compliments. I adore it and am happily breaking it out for the hot summer months.

Beast mode tuberose. Love it. It is heady. Very strong indeed and completely obliterates anything else you may be thinking of trying out. This dominated hugely. As said in other reviews - you must love tuberose. I do but this is borderline headache inducing and I’m an over sprayer by nature and this had me at one scoosh

Wow, it smells really good. I'm a guy but I really like the scent and probably gonna grab a bottle at some point in the future. Despite the fact that it is unisex, it leans more towards feminine side. It's fresh but has this sweetness and the overall impression is great. Performance and sillage are very good, too.

I’m agreeing with everyone else who calls this a skin scent; even in warmer, humid weather it doesn’t project much. However, the longevity is amazing at 10 hours. I also loved how the tuberose and agave notes work together to form something akin to a tuberose-flavored Turkish delight.

Big tuberose and overall white floral lover and Marfa is one of my favorites. It’s a sweet, but not candy, soft but not fluffy, juicy tuberose-forward fragrance with a creamy base. If you like Amouage Honour, Matiere French Flower or BDK Tuberose Imperial, you’ll LOVE this.

one of my favorite frags, imagine a mixed flowers candle used as an ashtray by heavy Marlboro's gold cigarettes smoker in the best way possible.... this is the best way to describe it and I'm in love with the it btw! I find myself reaching for it a lot..

I love this. As a man, this smells unisex. The white musk is prominent and the white florals makes this smell like an expensive hair conditioner or moisturizer. Memo Paris is my favorite fragrance house. I have 7 of their fragrances and love all 7.

This was such a pleasant surprise 😮 I love it 😍 sweet, vanilla, woody, rich, intense. Lasts so long that I sometimes still smell it the next day. People also seem to compliment it. I’d love to have this in full size for special occasions.

To me the white flower (tuberose&orange blossom) opening is my least favorite part of the fragrance, fortunately it sinks into creamy and warmer notes (vanilla & agave) pretty quick. Discovered it by accident and am so grateful I did.

I like this perfume but this tuberose is not as sexy as the one by Le Labo or By Kilian (Good Girl). The Kilian's interpretation of tuberoses is generally the best. They make it slightly less floral, and more sweet and unusual.

White-yellow floral, as 1000 others yet unique. Modern, i do like it, but dont think i gonna buy full bottle after i used my 5 ml sample. Lasts 5-6 h on the skin and days on clothes. Pleasant but way overpriced.

Whoa what a nice introduction. The beginning is reminiscent to BDK Tuberose and Isabey Gardenia if they mated then whala, Marfa Memo. That is the comparison I get a beautiful tuberose and orange blossom

Marfa is more of an aura than a perfume. It’s literally a sweet glow of vanilla, woods, and green-tuberose. The opening is challenging, but a few hours later you’ll be glad you sprayed.

The smell of this perfume brings an inexplicable calm over my body. What a unique and beautiful scent. I’ve not sampled about 3 other frags in the discovery and I think I’m sold. Wow

If you want to smell beautiful in a classy, perfect way that does not scream “perfume” but creates a serene and inviting aura around you, this perfume might be for you.

such a lovely fruity tuberose, I dunno why but I can smell almond although it's not listed. An uplifting and bright scent I am now using to fight the winter gloominess.

You feel tuberose in a different way mix with orange and mandarin And all these make you feel a sweet sour good scent I like it this is one of my fave fragrance

I love Marfa! There's some notes in here that smell coconuty on me and can't figure out which ones. Beautiful scent! Perfect for summer.

Have this perfume been reformulated? Bc I’m pretty sure that it didn’t have peach and it did have an agave note...
