Sicilian Leather

This will be my first review ever , reason being this is one of my fairly recent acquisitions,I get a wonderful sort of violet smell ,very spicy leather with some wonderful citrus ,this scent makes me feel dirty and clean at the same time I don't even know if that makes sense but that's the vibe it gives, another reason I made this my first review is I was so eager to tell everyone that said this smelled like Fahrenheit no way!!!And upon smelling it I did not get that , you think Fahrenheit you think kerosene/fuel maybe I thought because of the violet everyone was saying that , suddenly my scent memory was triggered at least for me ,they were half right, to me this smells very very similar to Aqua Fahrenheit more so than the original so I can see now why it was said , any ways for me I don't have the thirstiest skin , longevity was the whole work day for me and I had a wonderful scent bubble till I got home 8hrs solid. This is simply great. Fresh, soapy, leathery and woody. Fantastic during warm weather but it will do the job in cold seasons too. Pleasing soapy citruses in the opening. Becomes more leathery, woody and spicy with time while still maintaining some of that freshness. Comparisons to Fahrenheit or any TF fragrances are completely missed. Unless you think that fragrances with leather and violet leaf all smell the same...but then maybe you shouldn't be reviewing perfumes :( Longevity and projection are very good on my skin, above average. Most of you probably don't care for such stories but I got my bottle while on vacation in Southern France in late summer. I know it says "Sicilian" but every time I spray this, it instantly takes me back to those beautiful days on southern coast of France and for that reason it has a very special place in my collection. 10/10 from me but I guess I'm biased.

I got a sample of this perfume during the winter time and it was nice! I didn't think much of it until one very warm summer evening. I decided to put some on bc I was bored and couldn't sleep (idk I just love putting perfume on randomly) and WOW, I don't know if it was the heat of my skin due to the high temperatures that made the perfume just bloom but it suddenly was addictive as opposed to just being "meh, nice"! The more time passed by, more middle notes would be noticeable (like the violet leaf). It just smells so nice on warm skin, in the summer air. The only thing that bothers me is its staying power. It's really not that great so it makes it hard to justify its price. Still adore this perfume and I purposely wear it to link specific memories of summer to it now. I'm still gonna buy samples just to have my hands on some of it!

This is one of the best things i have smelled for the last couple of years. I was buying Aventus in a retail store near work, and they've put a 1,5 ml tester of Sicilian Leather and something else as a gift, so i kinda just whatevered those and put those in my car to occasionally use it inside. But after several uses i found myself addicted to this scent and went out and bought it afterwards. The citruses blend with leather so well, it's just amazing, when i spray this on me i feel like i can do anything. Some perfumes make you smell good, Sicilian Leather makes me FEEL incredible, it brings me ultimate confidence, that i look great, smell great and ready to whatever the day brings me. It's just my opinion, but out of 5 on fragrantica i would've given it 4,5-4,6, Very underrated scent

A majority of the reviews a pretty cynical and misleading. I don’t understand where the Fahrenheit comparison comes in because, this is nothing like it. This is a gorgeous fragrance. You definitely get a blast of citrus in the opening. On my dark skin, that citrus top note last a couple of hours. It’s a pretty linear fragrance. You get citrus, woods, and leather. At about that 8 hr mark, it starts to remind me of Salt and pepper by Precious Liquids. I’m not gonna go out on a limb and say this is a super imaginative fragrance but, to say it smells like any one fragrance, is kind of a reach. What I will say is that it a crowd pleaser. Mass appealing, while still smelling very niche. I personally give this one a 5/5

I've been wearing this several days now. It's really good. Now the thing is, to me this is a violet leaf fragrance. Violet is the dominant note on me. In fact I asked a girl for a blind sniff and she said it smells like "cucumber". Cucumber = violet leaf. In addition to violet I get some wonderful cardamon, some dry, sun-parched leather and wooden furniture from akigalawood. There are other notes happening in the background too - this smells complex and it's high quality perfumery. I wish I got some citruses (I don't) and I could use a biiiiit more leather... But it's really good. Highly versatile to boot. I'd get it if I could justify the price.

How have I not reviewed this one? This one blows me away. It's wild to me that it's not voted higher -- it's one of the best, sexiest colognes I have ever smelled. I LOVE how this smells on my BF and I recommend it often for people looking to splurge on cologne gifts -- it's a perfect leather scent -- not too heavy or dark bc of it's beautiful citrus opening -- feels almost musky and peppery in a hazy almost mezcal-ish way in the heart (as the violet leaf really blooms) and is just SEXY.

A very unique take on leather. Some reviewers said is more of a "white" leather and I can see why. The combination of leather, citrus and violet makes it a very pleasant leather fragrance. Not as strong and suffocating of the TF leather fragrances. Gorgeous and one of the fragrances I reach for when I want something different and pleasant. It works all year around but even nicer in Spring/Summer. Absolutely gorgeous and highly recommended.

I have a tester of this that I sprayed on myself. Definitely get a blast of citrus on the opening. The citrus stays in the forefront for me but then a little bit of spice and a soft leather come out to play, warming and grounding the citrus. I feel it is unisex, but perhaps leaning a bit more on the masculine side. If my husband were wearing this, I'd be all over him!

I really like this scent. It is very citrusy and pleasing to the senses. You can wear it all year long but it is better in the summer and spring months. This scent is unisex all the way, and can be addictive. The dry down offers you a good combination of citrus plus leather, which is very pleasant and sensual. I wish it lasted longer though. Rating: 7.5/10

My favorite 2021 release. Wonderful opening with high quality citruses blending with a heart of violet and leather -this I guess can remind you very faintly of Fahrenheit but nothing similar to me- add some spices like cardamom and coriander, I also get a bit of an ashy tobacco. The composition is pure Italian Class yet very versatile and all year use.

A proper citrus, woody leathery scent. and NO. It doesn't smell like Fahrenheit. Awful opening (smells like clay). However, just 5 minutes after and the woody citrus leather will come to the surface and dominate the scene. I think this is the best from memo. followed by Iberian leather & Irish leather.

I need this in my life. Citrusy leather in the oppening with a hint of Dior Fahrenheit in the drydown, at least for me. This is a most for me. I will be getting a full bottle soon. This radiance grown man vibes. Try it on a 1.5 ml sample.

i love this as well everything about Sicily.juicy aromatic stuff.It is not a very complex and characteristic fragrance, but it can be the best part to complement your character

This was a blind buy turned out to be my signature scent after . Very citrus very nice not too strong i wish it had a stronger smell of leather but still its one of the best

Such a nice fragrance. It doesn't smell like Fahrenheit at all. It's a fresh, very citrusy, a bit sharp, a bit leathery amazing fragrance. Lasts the whole day, love it!

Ideal for when you want an introduction to leathery scents. It's mostly citrusy but has a nice, soft leather in the background which helps balance it out a lot.

Who knew citrus and leather would work so well together! This is very close to Eau de Memo, which is a tad cheaper.

Black pepper with a dash of lemon on a leather. Very masculine.

This was a really safe blind buy - very nice, mostly citrusy and green and only then a bit woody/leathery scent. It smells very natural - definitely not one of those synthetic dish soap lemon colognes! It's not too strong, average sillage and longevity, so you can safely wear this anywhere. For Memo standards this is on the weaker side, so if you want something strong and signature - skip this one. However, if you want a safe, fresh and not too overpowering scent then this is the perfect choice, especially for spring/summer! It's unisex but maybe slightly leans towards masculine.

Wearing this today, the vibe matches my black linen shorts. Crisp and comfortable for summer, yet bold and noticeable. I don't usually wear black clothes and I don't usually wear leather scents, but this is a left field love when I want to feel confident and strong, a woman who is kicking butt and taking names. The citrus stays alongside the leather and doesn't dissipate immediately like other citrus frags in my collection. I haven't detected guaiacwood yet but it's one of my favorite notes so I'm looking forward to finding it.

Like, but not love. This captures the more bitter elements of citrus. Imagine the oils extracted straight from the rind. Behind that is some suede like leather and soft violet. There is almost something herbal about it, but that's just how strong that bitter citrus element is. It reminds me honestly of a lighter version of Amouage Memoir, just not quite as herbal as that. Good for work, or a casual day in my opinion.

A lemon and leather bomb absolutely beautiful crafted. I always spray this when I get the chance to have some free spots on my wrists, and I like it just the same, every time. Considering adding it to my fragrance cabinet as spring is approaching and this is slowly turning into a must-have.. The dry-down is slightly leathery, which is perfect, as it balances out the citrus' power... 10/10.

Another Memo I didn't like on paper but liked more on skin. On paper this really reminded me of the lemony and salty taste of fruit with salt and lemon (mind blowing I know). On skin this smells blue to me, and very similar to a Miniso perfume that I used to wear ages ago, so I find it a bit generic. It made me think of a very lemony shower gel. Once again no leather here.

I really don’t understand the hare for this on here, it’s a great fragrance. It’s bright, uplifting and has a nice leather accord to add some darkness. Longevity on my skin is solid at 8 hours. Projection and sillage are more average/below average.

6.5/10 it somehow smells like plastic wrap but also green and nice?. I don't hate it but it reminds me of ganymede like a strange smell like that. Difference is I do like this one better than ganymede. Not sure when i'd wear this tho lol

Interesting. Suitable for hot weather. But too pricey to have a prominent leather note and be fleeting.

Sicilian Leather is crazy dynamic. It is such a fascinating fragrance that evolves so dramatically on my skin from opening to dry down. On first spray, Sicilian Leather begins with an LV Imagination-type sweet citrus. I mainly get the bitter orange accord (which really isn't bitter at all) with a nice mix of fresh woodiness. In the mid, the scent profile takes a drastic turn and morphs from a citric freshie to a smoky wood scent. Almost like freshly-cut pine wood. There is also a smooth spiciness/pepperiness to it, presumably from the coriander, and yet avoids smelling herbal. The citrus stays faintly in the background, adding to the smoothness without adding sweetness. At this stage, it smells so refined, so professional -- something I could easily and confidently wear to work. For me, the leather doesn't come out until the dry down, long after the initial spray. It almost reinvigorates the fragrance. In this stage, the coriander and leather are most prominent, maintaining that polished peppery scent with the new addition of leather and the interesting reemergence of the citrus notes. The dry down becomes a peppery but slightly sweet leather. Overall, a very impressive and fascinating fragrance.

Got a tester today. The opening is the best part where the citrus and leather mixes well (however I still think the potential here is fully realised). But that faded away reeeaally quick on me (maybe 5-10min). After that it smelled like leather for sure, but not much else. Got some earthyness in the drydown, but doesn’t really smell like anything or remind me of anything in particular. Really let down by this one. If the citruses stayed longer and more happened in the drydown, it could have been great, but to me its really just meh. Nothing particularly bad, but not too much particularly good either. Opening is great, before it just gets boring quite fast.

A good leather scent, but that's really all I got from it. At the beginning, you feel the nice combination of citruses with leather. But this only lasted (on me and on the card) for a few minutes. Afterwards, it smelled like leather from a new car or couch, and stayed that way Don't get me wrong, it smells good, but with the price tag and name Sicilian Leather on it, I expected something more unique and summery.

Niche, tamer version of Fahrenheit EdT. I always wonder what should make me buy something for four times the price of original. I get it, there are nuances, of course, but it is not like this will do a four times better job. Wish people could come up with something special and unique when they ask such a price...

As an hater of citrusy scent I admit this is pretty interesting. The opening is a fresh orange but with a leathery backgroud, then after an hour the woody scent pops out and you gets a darker scent. Still not my type but I've received some compliments, if you like it it can be an original signature fragrance

It reminded me of a more summer-friendly version of Irish Leather. You can clearly notice both the green character and the leather accord. It’s a nice fragrance, but if the performance were stronger, I would have seriously considered it.

Every Memo leather is leather with some particular detail - here it's PEPPER (or coriander if looking into the pyramid)

On me this is pretty much just wood and leather. Almost no citrus. A little too "rustic " for my taste.

I got a tester for this as I quite enjoy leather scents, but after trying it three times I can firmly state I do not like it. Previous reviews mention the citrusy freshness which is completely nonexistent on me when I spray it, and it dries down to a stale old leather note. Not sure what the specific scent is, but it’s unpleasant (to me). Longevity is good though, sprayed it before going to bed and can still clearly smell it on me. Unfortunately. Maybe it smells nicer on other people but definitely try on your skin first before buying.

Starts off strong on the sweet bergamot + lemon smell, but the smell is easy to get fatigued from, even though it has decent sillage. But, that's really about it...it does not have any leather by the stretch of the imagination, it's just a typical, citrusy, bergamot smell that has a rather low projection. At this price point, I'm sure there are others that smell like it, since it's not really a distinct profile, but more disappointingly, does not have a trace of leather in it.

I really want to like this but i just can't. It's way too spicy with very little leather. I don't get the people who are saying the longevity and sillage aren't great. This stuff never goes away. You can smell it from a mile away. There is nothing subtle about it. One spray can last the whole day and for me it is petty linear. It is so strong to me that I often have to shower soon after putting it on just to get it off of me. A blind buy that I definitely regret.

I am definitely getting the petrol smell. Not fresh and uplifting. The citrus is mostly gone after the opening. The dry down is mainly just strong woods, no leather. Smells dark and heavy.

Daylight robbery; the amount of money that you pay for such mediocre perfume is just mid blowing! Designer level scent.

• Quite good. • This is a raw leather hide scent, not a tannic finished leather scent. Those are very different things. I coincidentally have a hide of very high-quality leather resting near me for reupholstering a chair, and the similarity is impressive. Memo does not seem to do "biker leather" or "car leather". All of them seem to do more of a rawhide/suede scent. • I've seen people mention Fahrenheit. Yes, it has some of those grassy vibes, but is quite different (and better). • Not my absolute favorite from the Memo line (that seems to switch between French, Italian and Russian depending on my mood), and I wish the herbal/spicy elements were toned down to make room for more citrus/leather, but it's still good.

The 2021 MEMO’s Cuirs Nomades is inspired by Sicilia, the largest Mediterranean island, where the Italy joins Sicilia through Calabria! So, it truly matches this fragrance citrus overdose and the ocean freshness. . I get a lot of bitter/sweet uplifting citrus smell besides the fresh wet violet leaves touch in the start. Then comes the spicy bridge in the middle which is made from coriander and cardamom to connect its prominent citrus presence to a smooth leather/woody base. Here the main players are lemon, cardamom, fir and leather accord. . It was a different experience for me. A citrus leather fragrance that can be worn in the spring and summer.

The beginning is very citrusy and zesty, I’m loving the bitter orange note. Super zingy from all the citruses, it’s like when someone serves you the most thirst quenching glass of water with a bunch of lemons and limes squeezed in. Then it starts to get into a bit smoky and spicy leather. I can discern coriander and fir balsam making it kind of earthy. As it settles it has a woody base that gets softer on my skin. I will say that I’d prefer this scent on a man. This has a mediterranean summer vibe. At first I was indifferent to it but now I do see that this is gorgeous.

Honestly, i don’t see the point in focusing a fragrance on citruses, name and marketing wise, if they last 10 minutes. Tested from the full sample on my neck and clothes

Underrated fragrance in my opinion Citrus and smooth leather, smells extremely classy, when I first bought this my sister said she didn't like the smell, also thought it was overpriced, I told her that in a couple weeks I'd be wearing it and she would love it, 2 weeks later I wore it when I was meeting up with her, "you smell nice, what are you wearing?" ...

I went heavy on the trigger & I choked out the taxi driver while heading to work. It started to smooth out while working, the citrus working with the spices and the "white leather". By the time I finished work, the drydown was in full effect, like the expensive upholstery in a rolls-royce, Damn good fragrance for the mature man or woman.

Spring, Scent: 6,5/10. It's ok, nothing special though. Starts citrusy whit a bit of wood in the background. Gets a bit aromatic and woody in the dry down while the citrus completely vanishes. Leather gets a bit more prominent. Some bitterness, perhaps from the orange. Sits very close to the skin for me. Sillage 3,5/10 Longevity 4/10

It's such a warm, rustic brown leather. Almost like a saddle leather being conditioned on a worn workbench, surrounded by lemon tree orchards that carry their subtle scent from an uphill draft off Sicily's southern coast.
