Belgravia Iris

This is a Tygar style fragrance with more nuance and complexity. It definitely has the Tygar backbone but with added iris, which makes it creamier. I’d say it’s a touch sweeter too and more floral but not as sharp, spicy or fresh. It’s not a clone but it carries many similarities. For those familiar with the dna, I’d say this sits in between Tygar and Vibrato. In fact, it’s closer to Vibrato if anything (especially up top), but not as dense. As a fan of the Tygar style, I really like this. Performance is excellent too, being an extrait concentration. Longevity is outstanding but it does sit fairly close to the skin after a few hours. I still love the simplicity and masculine composition of Tygar, whereas this leans more unisex, but Belgravia Iris makes a very high quality alternative, in fact one of the best I’ve tried, especially as it’s a better performer. After the initial bright and creamy notes, it dries down to a musky soft fragrance with a lot of allure. Long lasting, versatile and elegant - great job. As far as I know, this is made exclusively for Les Senteurs in London which makes it even more exclusive. For those who prefer Vibrato over Tygar, this is well worth checking out.

This is beautiful! Picked up a sample from Les Senteurs. A bright burst of citruses and neroli at the top which is fresh and zingy however isn't sharp. Then quickly follows is a beautiful musky blend of iris, violet and ambrox. Its quite unique considering most iris dominant fragrances lend themselves to autumn/winter - however, the citrus notes in this are prominent and keep it sunny. Its a well blended, sophisticated summer musk fragrance with creamy woody notes to give it body. Beware it smells heavily like there's sandalwood in here even though there is not. Completely unisex. Projects loudly for first hours - then calms down to a skin scent which lasts for ages. A signature worthy frag from this wonderful house. EDIT- now the happy owner of a full sized bottle. Popped into Les Senteurs, have been loving this ever since. Perfect for summer yet transitional enough with the iris base for Autumn. Love!

Out of all of the fragrances with this dna i had hoped it would be the best of the lot. however after a full wear i couldnt get over the slight burnt smell. This may be just my nose so keep that in mind but it meant it went from a 9 to a 6.5 sadly

I really found this one note in this fragrance borderline unberable. Other than that the composition is well blended but I would prefer the Tygar style DNA more than this one which includes Iris

Got a 5mL decant recently. This smells really good. The best way I can describe it is grapefruit soda with other nuances that makes it more rich. I didn't get much performance out of this on the first wear though... I'll wear it a couple more times and come back. But the scent profile is great.
