California Love

Off first impressions, this comes across to me as a zingy, sherberty lemon mint scent, with something in here giving it a creaminess that smooths the whole thing out in a similar way to Tales from Zanzibar. As it dries down, I get more of this tart, juicy passion fruit, which adds a unique layer to this scent that i really enjoy. Can't wait to wear this more during the hotter months. A solid release from MOAPC, and holds its own against some of the big hitters like Tales and Belgravia iris, and is definitely more wearable for the ladies i'd say. (Tales is still the goat tho :P )

Scent profile is okay i guess. It leans slightly feminine to me. Smells like TFZ without the punchy guava note. It sits incredibly close to my skin and is gone within a few hours. Especially in the high heat. For the price, this was a disappointment.

Smells like the bubblegum flavored paste they use during a teeth cleaning.

VERY limey and minty in the opening, the sugary mojito vibe slaps you right in the face straight away. As it dries, the passionfruit shows its face and the sweet fruitiness becomes more apparent. By the time it hits the 3 hour mark you are left with a slightly fruity musk with just a touch of funky mustiness (if you have tried Tales from Zanzibar you know exactly what I mean). Fortunately this does not go as far into sweaty BO territory as TFZ does on my skin. Very unisex, will finish my sample then make a decision on whether it's full bottle worthy. Right now I think it might be.

This reminds of of Tales of Zanzibar but with a burst of juicy orange in the first hour of wear. The second hour of wear I started to get almost a body odour musty smell, but it wasn’t seriously offensive (and may just be due to my skin chemistry) but this made me feel it started to lean a touch masculine. The final dry down is 90% the same as Tales of Zanzibar to my nose. Pleasant but underwhelming.

Very sweet. Candy sweet. But the passionfruit doesn’t get funky, which is nice. I would have liked something to ground it, but that’s just me. Similar to power of you without vanilla. For this scent profile, I prefer Tropiques by FDB. But overall nice and very summery!

banger. I prefer this one to Tales From Zanzibar. Juicy maracuja mojito smell. Absolutely love it. My girlfriend also loves it on me
