This stuff is brilliant, simple as. If you’re looking for a fruity, punch style daily driver for summer this is it. It opens with bright fruits and, while it’s not listed as a note, I get strong beams of mango accompanied by the loud passionfruit. I genuinely think this is better than both Tales from Zanzibar and Troubles in Paradise. 100% would recommend and think it is fairly priced

This is trully a hidden gem masterpiece from this brand. Everyone bragging about Zanzibar which is pretty average fragrance for me. This one captures a summer essence just right. Great dose of fruits, woody notes, fresh and uplifting. 10/10

Amazing fragrance, beast mode diffusion , perfect fragrance for this summer.

This has a fun juicy opening, I smell realistic passion fruit and pineapple straight away, with a strong woody base. It stays more passion fruit forward in the dry down and I oddly get oud as it settles. Appropriate for summer nights. This is LOUD in the first few hours. Genuinely need like 3-4 sprays max. However, the beauty in that loud, beast mode passion fruit disappears after around 4-5hrs and you are left with a non-distinct fruity scent that smells like shampoo to me. All it’s character is gone. Which is such a shame. A pass for me but I can see people falling in love with the delicious opening. Also minor, but as a frequent traveller to Rio - I don’t get Rio from this....feel like it is too woody and there should be way more coconut, lime (!!!) and creamy florals, this doesn’t quite capture the vibrancy, zest and everyday smells of Rio.

Rio de Janeiro by Memoirs Of A Perfume Collector opens with a bright burst of passion fruit, cassis, and pineapple, giving it a juicy, tropical sweetness. The coconut comes through fairly quickly, adding a smooth, slightly creamy, beachy type feel that rounds things out nicely. It’s an easy, likable scent, but also quite familiar. It is very much in the realm of an average fruity perfume without much depth or evolution in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, it definitely smells good, just not particularly memorable due to it's lack of complexity. The main draw to me is its limited, exclusive nature. Without that added appeal, it would feel even less special in my opinion. I rate this 7/10.

I absolutely love the Passionfruit opening. I just wish the passion fruit lingered around longer. It’s a great fragrance that can be worn day or night during those long summer days. Definitely long lasting! Could smell it on my skin for over 8+ hours. You will definitely get noticed! But be warned, do not overspray or it can be too much. I’m really loving it and finding I am reaching for this often.

Opening is lovely but the drydown ruins the frag for me. Full of HEAVY musk/chemical aromas in the base. I guess its good for longevity/projection etc but it really disrupts my nostrils.

What a hidden gem from the brand. Everyone talks about Zanzibar, Trouble in paradise, Belgravia iris, but this one is the best in my opinion. The opening blast is so juicy it could be mistaken for a tropical cocktail having been spilled on your skin. After around 10 mins the sandalwood starts to take centre stage and the coconut also starts to appear, giving the scent a creamy & luxurious feel. I also agree with the below comment that this has a slight mango note, even though its not listed. Upon first test, the only comparison that springs to my mind is Kirke, but this is a touch more masculine (still unisex tho). Think of a hybrid between erba gold and Kirke, but much higher quality than both of these.

Loud and nauseating. Definitely full of aroma chemicals. If those type of fragrances don’t bother you then you may enjoy it but I can’t get past that. Rio is fruity with heavy woods and a strong synthetic nature.
