Black Avaritia

Black Avaritias notes fits like a piece in a puzzle so perfectly. The resulting image is a piece of art. A true masterpiece of the olfactory realm. Bravo to the perfumer for working magic with so many brush strokes. Black Avaritia is exquisite and just truly beautiful. From the regal sweetness of its opening of honey an light citrus to the luxurious woody fusions in the base, and every other harmonious accord chosen to play its part in this sweeping, glorious tale spun from the finest threads of ingenuity and romance. In my experience with this edp, I get incredible longevity. Projection is perfect for this fragrance, well above average but not too bombastic where it veers into offensive straits. It all comes together so perfectly. There is no other way to put it: this is a 10. Greater than the sum of its parts? Absolutely.

Just saw someone else has posted about this one. Wow this one is impactful! I sprayed a very small amount and have had a huge surge of scent all over me. Very nice amber, this one does I hear have 30% oil, which probably demonstrates why its so long lasting. I really get a feel of honey, I feel like its almost cocooning me in if that makes sense. Early morning start for me and already 3 people have commented about my scent today. I think this is going to be the one for me! although each day i like the next one as much if not more than the one before so, lets see what tomorrow brings!

Opens with a luxurious sweetness and then immediately transforms into this smoky, ambery, woody bold and dark aroma. Definitely not your usual cheerful scent. This is more brooding but enticing. Black Avaritia is a perfect in for the seven deadly sins theme Memoize is going for. Definitely an evening scent or on cold weather. It feels very blanket-y 😆. Longevity is eternal on my skin. Above average projection which is perfect for a scent like this. Sillage is top notch! I love it when I leave trails of the scent everywhere I go.

Falling right in line with the seven deadly sins concept, the first thing that came to mind was swinging censers, and the smell of ritual incense. Unlike another poster I did not get a strong sense of honey initially, but instead was enveloped in smoky warmth. I used Avaritia straight out of the shower on a cool evening and could smell it for hours as it began to shift on my skin, at times bursting with sweetness before plunging back into deep vetiver depths. One of the more evocative perfumes I've tried recently for sure.

Black Avaritia by Memoize London - A must have. I was so lucky to find this Limited Edition. Long Lasting. I hear it has 30% oil. Check it out - highly recommend but leave some for me :)

Elegant, luxurious and intoxicating. Similar to a milder Black Afgano...mixed with refined narcotic oil...

Cozy, comfortable and enveloping woody aromatic scent which is a more natural smelling avatar of the screechy synthetic Black Afgano. The scent opens coyly with a honeyed grapefruit and starts transitioning to an incensy Oud with labdanum, violet and cashmere. The scent settles on a powdery base of sandalwood, ambrette, vetiver, synthetic musk and vanilla. The unisex scent has moderate to strong sillage and very good longevity. Although not hugely original, it is extremely well blended and has an addictive quality to it. Enjoy!

Testing blind, felt like this opened with a dark cherry element for the first while, then setting down to be more powdery with an answer earthy quality. While lushness at first, it really is powder, musk, violet forward after 10-20 minutes. You can pull out most of the other notes if you wanted to but none (maybe minus the labdanum) are central. It's initially scrumptious mellowing out to a darker powder feel. The whole thing gives me vibes of a sexy first date any time of the year, but for her to wear, not myself, with a good strong spritz right before meeting. So, I feel it does just barley lean feminine to me. Longevity was good. Unfortunately, for what I'm experiencing, it's more than a bit overpriced. It's engaging, it's sexy, but it isn't absolutely enthralling.
