Gula

I picked up this and Caritas for a combined cost of £70 from the Secretsales site and bought more in hope than expectation and have to say I’m blown away by this totally. This is very dark and mysterious smelling and I really pick up on the Vetiver, Vanilla, Musk and Lavender in this which are some of my favorite notes to wear in or around the office and I feel this could also work for an evening work event / social gathering but maybe not alluring enough for date night in my own personal opinion. I don’t pick up the sandalwood in this but am sure that others have / will. This lasted on my jumper for over 12 hours easily and I was getting wafts off my skin for easily 6-8 hours with a moderate four sprays but feel that this will be way too much for wearing in the summer months.

GOURMAND VETIVER This is "quality" in a bottle. I get more of sweet vanillic Vetiver. Woody Vetiver dominates the life of the fragrance. Very good projection and longevity. Definitely more masculine leaning and age group 30+. Similar in the veins of Encre Noir but even better at a niche level.

I love this fragrance Gula, great fragrance to try. I will definitely be looking to purchase this fragrance online. Sets great on my skin!

“Gula” displays the kind of high quality one doesn’t often find in fragrances these days.

Sandalwood, lavender and an earthy, smoky vetiver create a creamy, sweet and woody scent. It has a calming effect on me. It's well-blended and well-rounded without any harsh notes. The longevity is decent, but the projection is probably weak. It just seems to be that kind of scent, it's supposed to be intimate, warm, cosy, although I'm not sure how good the projection is. I think the original price is too much, but I got it at a discounter and I do enjoy this fragrance especially on cold winter nights. 8/10

A surprising perfume, darkly elegant and deep, very similar to Creed's Royal Oud with a small addition of sweetness and earthiness...

Testing blind, I got a kind of sweet leathery herbal body. It comes off kinda like some sort of dark herbal lozenge. There's an element of familiar sweetness but some spicy funkiness too. I want to like it but it's too in-between and the dry down reduced to a skin scent. Looking at the notes now some amber may have kept it more prominent, but while the orange spicy element is promising, too much sweetness and the vanilla gives it that medicinal lozenge vibe that makes it a bit less appealing. I like the general direction it was trying to go though.

This one was lovely, good longevity. Clean, woody, vetiver, but leans very masculine to me. Wish I could find a more feminine scent that is this clean and fresh.

Sandalwood bomb, very reminiscent of Santal 33. Carries the Memoize DNA in the background. Unisex, but leans feminine. Smells very dated.

Ok, So on to Gula, Very powerful and intense, I can feel this one sits on the skin for hours. Very nice gentle hints of vanilla, and vetiver. This one is probably a bit too strong for me as my fair skin prefers something not as heavy in woods, but great for a man to wear.

It's nice almost like Shalimar for men, spicy and sweet. Need to test everything in the line.
