Beautiful thick scent of unsweetened hazelnut butter with a hint of milky and oily/waxy notes. Totally in love! It reminds me quite a lot of Yesterday haze and Fat Electrician. But the balance of the soft, slightly sweet and herbaceous notes are absolutely amazing! Follow me on IG: scent.guide

If sunbeams had a fragrance. Without having seen the bottle beforehand, I tested this one and it conjured up the image of a rainbow in soft oil pastels. The texture of this one is very light and fluffy - like pink and purple hued clouds, yet oily/waxy like oil pastels and crayons... For me it's painting the sky and rainbows as a child. There is a dewy and herbal quality to this, yet it doesn't veer green in the slightest at any stage, despite the angelica being there all the way throughout. The angelica here is more like an astral projection of the plant, rather than the actual green body of it's flesh in this earthly realm. The iris has that sweet and powdery carrot note. One that plays well with the muted sweet florals, tonka and musks. Amongst this, there's this slightly bitter and oily edge keeping this from growing too sweet and away with the fairies. However, this is very much a sweet perfume in the sum of its many parts. There's also something very human like in here - the smell of your body in perfumed bedsheets that haven't been washed in a week, or your breath after drinking a sweet milky drink. For some reason (again with the colour associated with the smell of this one in my brain) the sweetness I mention makes me think of something I ate as a child called 'Rainbow drops'. These were little puffed rice sweets coated in a sweet powder that was coloured in different rainbow tones. This is one to wear when I want to get in touch with my inner child. Maybe I'll wear it and paint some abstract pastel work soon. I love how every perfume I try from this house is so rich in imagery and memories for me. Without fail they are so vivid to me and I connect deeply to them. Mendittorosa is absolutely one of my favourite niche perfume houses. Even though I wouldn't buy this as a full bottle, I appreciate the journey with my sample and will revisit it again soon I'm sure.

At the first sniff I have a mash up of Bois d'argent, Iris de nuit and other whiffs of waxy iris, dry woods, benzoin, buttery sandalwood, all slightly ... makeup. At a distance I get carrot, purple, woody shades and the classic elegant vibe with a pretty close-up flower slide. Over time I detect neroli and jasmine. On my skin it remains creamy-oily with strong tonka bean, but the aura I get around is light, serene, natural, dusty and clean. I don't like ambroxan but this is well blended and gives a good boost of character compared to that particularly green and relaxing atmosphere I have with angelica. I get a nice combo with the iris and all the garnish. Evolution keeps constant, simple and smooth like ... a rather special Eau de Hiver and with ... much more! Simply Good!

I had some time to play with this one and wore it a few times over two days and I can concretely say it lives up to the Mendittorosa line. It has qualities of previous offerings from the house, without resembling any of them directly, I get primarily a peppery opening from angelica root, a woody cloud with a soft iris and tonka bean dry-down. It's a Like for right now, at least until I'm more familiar with it.
