God, how beautiful it is! At first I was terribly disappointed in it, but this perfume played in a new way at school, I think it's because it's warmer here. Believe me, this fragrance smells gorgeous. That's not niche scent, but really good work and very high quality. What do I mean by non-niche perfume? Everything is very simple, there is nothing in this fragrance that most people might not like, but this composition 😍, the niche here is that no one has thought of this fragrance before, so it remains a unique niche perfume. How it's smells? This fragrance reminds me a meadow in the middle of the forest, filled with beautiful succulent flowers. This perfume brings an inexplicable feeling of joy, I don't understand why, but it makes me so happy, I want to cry with joy, how beautiful this perfume is, I can compare the feeling with the feeling of love, that's exactly what this fragrance brought me, no matter how strange and wild it sounds, but it is pure truth, I am not exaggerating. Floral notes smells really juicy, as if these flowers are covered with honey, dry leaves of trees and grass can be felt in the background, not earthy, but rather a green, dry smell of the forest, which the flowers make alive and blooming. Wonderful fragrance, nothing less. Over time, the perfume becomes softer, the smell of flowers disappears, leaving a pure forest scent. I don't like dry down as much like top notes, but don't hate it too, dry down just alright. The Opinion Of Others: It was chemistry class, I got bored, so I decided to spray this perfume (as I thought it smelled because I smelled it in a cold place), I did it mostly to piss off an annoying classmate who always complains about me and the boys because we spray samples, even though she has the smelliest Victoria's Secret, which fills the whole class for several tens of minutes with its stinky and unbearable smell, I don't know what she has, some blue bottle, well, I also wanted to piss off the chemistry teacher so that life would not seem like a raspberry. But, i was surprised when all her reaction was like: What smells so good of candy and incense? That's not i want to hear, but at least I know this fragrance smells not bad, of course teacher can hear it, I don't know what I was hoping for when I sit on the last desk in the third row from the teacher's desk. After that lesson, i asked my friend to tell his opinion about it, and i get exactly the same opinion like mine, he also think this fragrance smells like forest and flowers. Rating: SILLAGE: 7/10 could be better, for that price. LONGEVITY: 7/10 also not good, lasts like 6-7 hours maximum. SCENT: Top notes: 10/10, Midle notes: 7,5/10 Scent in general: 9/10 OVERALL: 8/10 (The persistence and trail of the perfume ruined everything(Also, I haven't worn it on myself yet, so I definitely can't say about the sillage and durability, everything is based on spraying on the hand)) ********************** ( Editted 03/22/24 ) (The notes for the review were written earlier (~04/14/24), I just realized that I can combine two review comments into one) Notes to the review* •Wait until the temperature is warm, because the lovely smell will turn into a rye smell, if you know what I mean. (Today its smells weird, much cheaper than it was yesterday, I hope this is due to the fact that the batteries heat up slowly at school, well, it would be a shame if it was due to the fact that I oversprayed.(Judging by the forecast, it was colder yesterday, so when the batteries warm up the class, we will have to try Orlo again.) •Don't expect anything incredible from this smell, the niche is individual, this smell is perfect for me, it's not a fact that for you... •The smell may not match the price. If we talk about yesterday's smell, I would give all €200. • My mother said that this perfume (dry down) reminds her of cheap Soviet perfumes, because such a smell is associated with the village. To say that I am disappointed is an understatement, but I have hope that he will get better in the warm season (yesterday it was warmer in the classroom and outside) • Dry down smells the same in all temperatures. I imagine this perfume will be hard for many to take. It's a battle, both olfactorily and figuratively. Sylvia Path faced a lot of demons in battles during her short life, and the poem Orlo is inspired by tells you so quite clearly. A dead mother type figure, dead children as serpents, empty pitchers of life-giving milk, gardens wilting in the darkness. Not exactly something you'd want to read for levity and vivaciousness. But I don't get darkness or despondency, or any other emotions of the sort in Orlo. The perfume is really lively and strident; this isn't a quiet battle going on in the internal darkness of the heart or mind, but more like cannons going off in a green and sunlit field, horses and soldiers running with sabers drawn. The initials sniffs are all about this sunlit field with sweaty warriors duking it out. A bracing, light filled, green and yellow bergamot accord casts its southern European sunlight over the entirety of the perfume's top and heart. Sour and citrusy, bitter and green, there is a palpable energy to it and it's also gorgeous. However, like a mob of sweaty and dirty soldiers in this green and yellow-sunlit field stands cumin. This is where a lot of wearers, especially Western ones, are going to have a problem. This cumin is real cumin. It is big, it is bold, and it's going to trail every step you take. To make sure the bergamot and the cumin don't go too far over the line of difficult - which they already mostly have, I think - orange blossoms are carried on the breeze providing a softly-citrus white floral accord to balm the nose and skin. There seems to be some other floral notes playing around in the background as well - the brand says magnolia and a "metallic rose" - and I'll believe it, but my nose can't really distinguish them from the much larger and more vocal characters. The sweaty and spicey cumin, and the piquant hesperidics and florals, give way very seamlessly and logically to a patchouli and cedar base. The piquancy evolves to pepperiness, the florals to earthiness, and the spice to woods. If there is anything to take from a description of Orlo's base is that it is very peppery, and the transition to it has placed an image in my mind's eye of the battle that is now over, but you are surveying the carnage: the bodies strewn, blood on the green grass, soil has been upturned by horses and feet and equipment to release their aromatics into the air. Though the energy is not as electric and frenetic as it was at the beginning of the perfume's life, it's still very much there all the way to the end. So, I can't say I'm wholly understanding the connection of the poem and its theme to the perfume; I don't see Plath anywhere in Orlo - it's too bright, too energetic, and too physical, never brooding, or dark, or internalized. But I do have to say I'm still enjoying it very much. It's expertly composed with amazing materials, beautiful in its own grating way, and it is very thought provoking. It's a statement perfume, for sure, bold and uncompromising, and pushing right up the line of tolerable for many. You'll have to decide for yourself if you accept the statement or not.

Fragrant homage to Sylvia Plath's poem 'Edge': a dry-spicy, light-woody neo-chypre, with fruity, smoky and leathery facets. Whoever is on the edge of life, at the end and longing for death, take a whiff of this fragrance - maybe it will help. To me, at least, it conveys joy and love of life. A wonderful antidote! Finest French fragrance art in the style of the 60s/70s. Enthusiasm!

I agree with what @nathan86 stated. It wears very bright and uplifting. Doesn’t transition to anything melancholic or grounded. So it doesn’t really fit the narrative for me. However, gorgeous scent. Initially I found it to be quite feminine leaning but my mind has changed after some full wears.

First fragrance I've bought from the house and we (my wife and me) love it. It's really shine on my wife, easily her most favorite one.

This is womanly energy in all its glory and fullness. Warm and close to the skin (but not a skin scent), I feel with this Mendittorosa tried to make its very signature fragrance for women. To describe it using other scents it would be to say that, for me, it has the warmth and depth of Portrait of a Lady and the sweetness - rouge vibe of Times Square by Masque Milano. It has this sort of cheerful, happy vibe that keeps safe the deeper scent, the dark shadow, the warm boozy - spicey feeling. There is a strong connection between the perfume and its inspiration, it translates the character of the poet and her themes into liquid adornment. It develops beautifully on the skin, it's by no means a simple scent. You feel it's a Mendittorosa. Truly beautiful.

I'm very unsure about this; I just get citrus, woods, and incense.

I smelt this on a recent trip to Tokyo (Nose Show, Ginza) and it unfortunately didn't work for me. It had an IMMEDIATELY mainstream/designer feel to it, with a freshie-calone vibes to it, and it went downhill thereafter. Lots of spicy-citrus elements, quite a bit of a sweetened-smoothed out leather feel to it, and slight boozy notes, but by and large it didn't work for me, as a whole.
