Sirio

Opens with tart photorealistic rhubarb and what smells, to my own nose, like plum and apple sauce. Out of all the Mendittorosa fragrances I've tested or owned so far - this one is the least memorable and least impressive. I notice people have compared it to PDM's Delina, and yes I agree there is a whiff of that one here (I'm not a Delina fan either btw!). I get the rhubarb, then bright, pink, full petaled peonies and tender stemmed pink roses in this one, along with a fresh musky, sort of milky opening. At first the fruits here reminded me of pureed baby food. Conjuring images of babies adorned with pink florals being fed the mashed up fruit from decorative silver spoons. How strange! This image is short lived, as the tartness relaxes, changing the scent profile to something softer and less food like. It then becomes an impression that is all about milky rose scented lotions and rose petals swirling around in a romantic old claw footed bath tub, soft fluffy white towels and little bit of vintage powder. After the opening I like this one a lot more. It's very romantic and feminine is a very delicate, extremely soft way. I will try it more but this is the first impression. Edit - have come back to change this to a love! It's so pretty! Just the most ballerina tutu and airy pink petals combo going. Super feminine and stunning.

This is very Delina-like. Just like Delina, it has bright and very sour fruits at the beginning fading into a softer rhubarb and rose. Finally soft and rosy cashmeran base picks up. It's a very beautiful perfume. I agree that it's bright, fresh, feminine, slightly sour and very unique. I do enjoy this fruity potpourri a lot but I am not sure if I can justify buying it considering I already have Delina. The thing is, as unique and gorgeous this perfume is, it's still hard to justify purchasing it considering there are so many rosy-fruity perfumes on the market with a similar theme. It's a common theme in BDK perfumes, Juliet has a Gun perfumes, Jo Malone and Tiziana Terenzi (peach comes to mind). Even Tom Ford has been venturing a lot into that territory recently with their fruit editions. I love Sirio, but not enough to buy a full size bottle. That being said, it is very sexy and pretty. I can't recommend it enough.

Very romantic and somewhat ethereal. I find a remote hint of Delina (tart rose-peony accord) but it is not at all a dead ringer similarity. This is smoother, more seductive, and much prettier on the skin. Sirio has a textural experience of champagne or dry apple cider bubbles at the start and mid stages. Later the fizziness evaporates, the beautiful apple-rhubarb tartness gives way to rose-peony. Finally a non-gourmand woody vanilla comes through and really does remind of a craft cream soda beverage, as someone below has mentioned. Base of clean woods. Can’t detect any oud in any form. This is beautiful. It is not just a pretty scent. It has texture, it evolves throughout the wear, it evokes a detailed panorama of the garden of eden - full of lush fruit, pink flowers, delicate trees, and a sparkling fountain of champagne bubbling nearby. It is joyful.

I LOVE this perfume. It is my staple, everyday perfume. Sweet and joyful. I love the dry down that smells leathery. Funnily enough, when I first tried this st Scented Niche in HK, it smeled like someone's skin and I didn't like it. No idea why it smelled that way. But they gave me a sample with my purchase and when I tried it again at home, I fell in love. I know a lot of people don't like Santal 33, but I sometimes layer Sirio with that (more Sirio and less Santal) since I find the rhubarb-leather combination very cozy and comforting to me.

A lovely full soft fragrance with a powdery feel without it being powdery. Like moonmilk and Midnight in paris this has almost a milky base, but this one has a little but more of a bright floral aspect to it. Overall it is still well blended and a romantic scent really This is unisex, but I find it better on a women. This would do very well on spring days and fall and summer nights I highly recommend this and got 6 hours longevity and fair projection. Romantic stuff here

What a gem! I can’t stop smelling my arm where I applied it. Very rich and evolving, a scent I imagine Louis IVX wearing at Versailles. Gorgeous beyond words.

My orange male cat has approved this scent. He latched onto me and even refused to leave my bed after I had went work.

The first spray is definitely tart though there is actually a bit of a sort of plastic smell as well. I smell rose immediately despite it being listed as middle note, like a slightly burnt rose/rhubarb jam. I'm curious as to what rose they used in this because it smells much different than ones you typically smell in perfumes. It died down quite nicely but I am a tad bit disappointed. This has a lot of my favorite notes and I was distracted by the plastic/burnt scent I get from the initial spray. Maybe it's the apple note, which I am not familiar with, but it makes me a bit nauseous. I do like that it has a strong photorealistic rhubarb note and I understand people's adoration for it, I just can't get over whatever burnt thing I'm picking up on my skin. Still think this is beautifully-made even though it doesn't work on me! I would just encourage people not to blind-buy,.

A musky floral gourmand, this is a lovely scent for sultry weather. The perfume begins with notes of apple, rhubarb and musk as it begins to settle into a mostly floral middle comprising of rose, peony, and plum. It finally settles into a powdery woody base which is comprised of agarwood, guaiac wood, cashmeran, vanilla and amber. The perfume is bright and light and somewhat mysterious. Unisex (slight feminine leading) with moderate sillage, projection and good longevity. Another fine addition to the Talismans collection but far from being the best in the line. Enjoy!

So elegant and full. I pictured myself sitting alone at a fancy, dimly lit bar, drinking an old-fashioned. An amazing blast of ripe fruit enveloped by rose and peony. It reminded me of the fruit pastilles that are packaged in a tube. I would describe this as a warm purple scent. After an hour the fruit turns quite boozy and rich, but the vanilla base note starts to make it smell more like play doh as more time passes. I would've loved this so much if that play doh note didn't exist!

A blast of smooth tart fruity opening that lasts for an hour or so then dries to the smell of cream soda (in a good way), it lasts in that state as a skin scent for the whole day and lasts even longer when sprayed on clothes. Great for spring/summer, rather unisex but might lean feminine to some. Does give off the aura of someone well educated with incredible taste.

Pleasant rose centered fragrance but it’s very forgettable. So much so that I forgot I even had if on because it’s a very light skin scent. Not for me but if you’re sensitive to loud scents and like rose you may enjoy it.

The most photorealistic rhubarb I've ever smelled! Beautiful spring fragrance.
