O my gosh! This one is one of the best aldehyde scents I've got my nose on in a long time. Beautiful! It opens with crisp and airy aldehydes, then mentholated features of mint and geranium, alongside the gentle sweetness of the rose. Whilst remaining light and airy as a scent there is also something grounded and earthy in here with the oak moss and patchouli. This is such a beautiful and natural ode to nature. I never would have thought I'd adore fresh, icy, mentholated roses, which are elevated with aldehydes quite so much... but here we are. Again, this is a creation by Mendittorosa which has captured the fresh air of mountains in their work. Unlike 'South', which reminded me of the smell the of the peaks of Austria in the summer, this one is capturing a much cooler climate. There's something almost aquatic in here too... like the land meeting with water. I imagine a scene of early morning mist rolling down from cerulean and charcoal grey tones rocks, settling to hover just above a lake at the foot of the mountains. I am surrounded by damp, dark green foliage, the towering trees, and carpets of moss, creeping along the ground. I wrap my jumper around me tightly and inhale in deep, the air cool, as though mentholated, fills my lungs. This is the moment just before sunrise, when the temperature feels most cold and the humidity is high. The sensation of the dampness and crisp air to my face brings the blood to my cheeks, which blush like pink roses, and the freshness of the cool air awakens my mind- as sharp a roses thorns. As I stroll along the edge of the lake, I observe the flora... Mentha aquatica, water mint, wild rose species in all their shades of pink and white, all grow abundantly along the waters edge. I stop here for a moment breathing in deeply and basking in the tranquility of the moment. My body feeling rejuvenated and my mind clear, fresh and ready for what a new day may bring.

I was in Naples in October 2023 and went to the National Archaeological Museum where there was an exhibit on Erotica and when I walked through there was the most amazing fragrance! I said to my husband that someone in front of us was wearing the most beautiful perfume. Then we noticed that the fragrance was actually part of the exhibit. I noted the name and at that point was determined to purchase it. Well, none of the perfume shops in Naples carried it so I found the website and contacted the atelier and made an appointment. We took a taxi to a beautiful villa at the top of Naples where the owner and her husband welcomed us and presented all of their fragrances. They were all wonderful, but in the end I had to have Talento. I absolutely love this fragrance! Just ordered a purse size and will order another regular sized bottle because, frankly, whenever I really fall in love with a product it ends up being discontinued and I need to have some backup, especially with something as special as Talento.

This is a salty, fresh rose, bright mint concoction. It’s like walking through a grassy shoreline where the waves strike the legs of an old, wooden dock casting a fine mist into the early morning air. There’s something, maybe the mint, that keeps the rose and geranium youthful and dimensional. The earthy patchouli keeps it grounded and on my skin for a decent period of time. It’s not something that gets comments, but it’s memorable. While it’s pricey, it’s different enough to be missed if it were not in my collection.

What a amazing scent, one of the best Rose-Mint combo you will ever find on the market. The aldehydes note perfects the scent. The rose is more like a pink red, watery rose instead of a dark red rose. Such a playful and youthful scent, yet so classy and elegance. Honestly, one of the best scent I have ever smelled in my fragrance journey. The price tag is a bit high imo but still worth getting a bottle. Scent: 9/10 Performance: 7/10

It's funny how the little things in life can bring so much joy. Nothing is more appealing than the fresh, unsullied, pure, high thread count, Egyptian cotton sheets of an unreviewed perfume, right here on Fragrantica. So I kinda wish I could pierce this silence with a more enthusiastic review. After all, I love the Talismans line and this delivers more of the same in terms of quality and inherent likeability without being too safe. The opening is a powdery, mint tinged geranium, dry but not arrid and with a pinch of earth to it. This then mutates into a cleaner more perfumed, airy feeling of roses but still with that bulgarian/turkish earth to it, this is not a sweet rose at all. It's the kind of rose that has a slight melancholy and touch of decay to it but it's generally of the more metallic and watery PEA/rosewater type of feeling as if imparted into this fragrance like the botanicals in gin. I detect a lemony citrus too and maybe some olibanum or mastic? Throughout the feeling is of a seabreeze but non of the usual cliches, I don't even what to say it's 'salty' or 'ozonic' but seems to capture those vibes. I wanna say ambergris, because this has a ghostly, spectre like presence. Talento starts out a bit lack lustre for me but in the end, there's actually lots to say about it because it's very evocative, seeming a bit stark and cold to begin with, but warming up, and revealing it's various layers very nicely indeed. So the major elements in here and they are all very complementary are citrus, geranium, mint, rose, metallic, airy and marine. I don't get the jawdropping price of this one? However the general pricing of Menditorossa is very reasonable considering the presentation of the bottles and the state of the current niche climate. It's growing and growing on me, if this sounds appealing to you then check it out. I know that Rose and geranium is a classic combo but I can't actually think of many perfumes that smell like this off the top of my head? I'm enjoying the wear today for sure.

For once, I really enjoyed reading the conceptualization behind Talento. Roses that were fragile and weak were given mint to support them, and then the roses began flourishing. The opening of the perfume is bizarre: it is heavily aldehydic, with a very round and slightly sweet mint note filling it out. The mint is quite demur, far from the potently astringent and nose-tingling greenness we usually get with mint; it sort of reminds me of chocolate mint. It's the aldehydes that are bizarre. They are extremely loud, and bright with an opaque light, like the sun trying to get through a white curtain but the curtain just illuminates - and then, poof! They're gone. For a few minutes I thought I was anosmic to the perfume because I could not smell a thing, except for a slight dusty trail where the aldehydes and mint once were. Then with a bit more time and body heat the rose and geranium start to bloom. The addition of geranium makes this accord a green rose, young and not fully developed yet, more pink than red, and overall a very quiet and calm accord. The roses are growing, and it's very pretty. In the final dry-down we get an equally quiet blend of mossy woods and very lightly-earthy patchouli. They're seamless and pleasant, bringing to mind loamy and fertile soil, and mature and elegant forests. Talento is probably the easiest of the Mendittorosa perfumes I've worn so far; it doesn't want you to spend a lot of time thinking so much as feeling. The feeling is light, comfortable, friendly, simple, and pretty. For that reason, I'm not exactly compelled to buy it because I have too many perfumes already that do this just fine for a much lower price, nor is it anything of those characteristics plus interesting enough for me to consider it. But that's on me, not the perfume. It does what it says it was going to do, it does it well, and it makes you smile the entire time. What could possibly be wrong with that?

Great review from Houdini. I agree with the majority of it. The price point for this is stunningly high...especially given that the scent is somewhat familiar. I get vibes of a rose water lassi I had at an Indian restaurant, and I get other vibes of a sweet rose soap I smelled somewhere before. Throughout there is a somewhat metallic coldness, like a cold seawater vibe. As mentioned, it could be some ambergris. This coldness is not strong at all, and tends to enhance the overall impression the fragrance gives, and keeps it from being too soapy or sweet. Longevity is reasonable...Sillage is just a bit outside your personal bubble. Perfect for this fragrance. Now if only someone could do something about the cost...$400 for 100ml is patently insane.

My impression of Talento wavers between cold rose-lettuce salad & rose-infused frozen margarita. It is a very unique, interesting fragrance. I enjoy it but I don’t think it’s full bottle worthy for me.

I was so intrigued by the notes because I like a good minty accord, especially for the warmer months. This, however, smells like roses and bug spray to me. Only got a 1ml sample and that was enough for me.

Ooh, I love this. All minty, Rosey, geraniumy. But... The first 10 minutes was a hit of aldehydes headache for me. Thankfully it subsided faster than most aldehydes headaches typically do for me, becoming a very low level humming headache instead. So I toyed with not getting a bottle or a 10ml decant on tokens from Bloom because of that but... I've come back 2 weeks later to edit; I am now so in love with this perfume. I don't even get the little aldehyde head effect at the start anymore. This is perfection in a bottle. I agree with EddyLuke about this rose - it's a fragrant, delicate pink or white rose rather than a deep red. It's like good quality, fancy Turkish delight (the kind that's subtle in flavour, delicately sweet, and rolled in pistachio rather than sickly doused in sugar type). Really very wonderful. I just want to fold into the scent and dream. It is all romance, gentle sensuality, soft femininity, and quiet self assurance. It is my joint most favourite perfume.

I confess I'm both baffled by the rave reviews and deeply disappointed by this fragrance. I'm willing to believe it *could* be because of the decant process (?) I got a 5ML spray from Scent Split and it was...drugstore Old Spice blast with a faint hint of florals. It was a scrubber for me, it gave me an instant headache and smelled just like hundreds of hugely disappointing "hit" fragrances--just a fake air freshener, headache-inducing completely chemical, over the top, throat-burning alcohol/hairspray smell. **What is it?!?!** I REALLY want to avoid this because this was a waste of $30 for me and I'm really frustrated. The weird part is many vintage aldehydes are absolutely lovely on me and I adore them, so it's not that. It's some note like ambroxan or ISO Super-E that is also in JHAG Not a Perfume and many other perfumes people rave about, like literally every single one of ELDO's perfumes I've smelled. Huge, huge letdown.

A very interesting scent. I like the blend of Aldehydes, mint and rose. It is mysteriously minty, nice projection and longevity about 4 to 5 hours. An early morning stroll along a misty lakeside. Bundled up in a heavy sweater the sound of leaves crunching under my thick boots and a light trill of a distant bird are the only sounds. Lots of dark leafy green foliage and tall trees are my companions. Small pretty roses and mint plants shiver in the wind as the mist cools their petals. As the sun rises everything begins to clear to make way for the new day.

Great balance between the rose, mint and geranium. Has a nice soapy opening and a green rose. Smells like quality ingredients and the performance was good. I’m a fan.
