The smell of this fragrance is the peak for mint lovers like me. It starts smelling like fresh mint that you pluck out of the ground, the lemongrass gives you that smell of a fresh snap and the beginning of the tobacco gives it a gentle wet soil smell. Once the lemongrass goes you have the smell of mint, fresh spearmint, like crushing the leaves between your fingers. In time the mint starts to loosen up and has a watery quality to it like drinking a mint tea, this is joined by the light and pleasant smell of tobacco. This fragrance is a beautiful journey, but the one thing keeping me from owning a full bottle is the abysmal performance. On skin this fragrance lasts 2-3 hours and even on fabric it lasts maybe an hour longer. Projection is great, there's a six foot bubble around me throughout the wear. Due to the performance the best format for this fragrance is a decant that you can reapply. Truly this is a great fragrance, but keep in mind that it is the exploration of one note (fresh mint) and it has a very short performance window.

I'm not really a fan of mint as a note in scents (while mint tea as a hot drink is very good) but I think this has been done nicely here anyway. It even lasts for a while. I smelt a certain dark undertone too. But where's the tobacco? I just didn't smell it. Why so short list of notes in FR? The homepage gives this list: Moroccan Dwarf Mint, Eucalyptus, Verbena, Lemongrass, Litsea Cubeba, Lemon, Moroccan Chamomile, Tobacco, Sandalwood. Two of my favorite luxury candles of all time are Cire Trudon's Abd el Kader and Mad et Len's Spirituelle which are both best described as Moroccan mint tea scents. This perfume is just like when I burn those candles and I adore wearing it, it's unique and unisex in a way a lot of mint dominant perfumes aren't. The memory it evokes for me is like when my family would go camping in the Rocky Mountains and we would drink mint tea after dinner in front of the fire.

Muddled mint and lemongrass. Tobacco is undetectable. Weak projection, extremely intimate, and longevity is maybe 30 mins-1 hour. Completely unisex. I'd say it's dreadfully overpriced due to poor performance alone. However, this is one of my favorite scents from this house. I just adore it. It's straightforwardly mint tea, which I love. Such a shame that it doesn't last. Edit: You or Someone Like You by ELdO is amazingly comparable and lasts all day.

氣味有大量草本、植物芳香的面向,薄荷的涼、甜、辣被打磨的很溫順模糊,隱約感覺開出有馬鞭草,中調之後有像是菸草、瑪黛茶的乾草面向,整體偏向單一線性的氣味,不過我覺得氣味的明暗對比作的很好,不是無聊的作品(也有可能是我熱愛薄荷) 香氣有一個老城市濾鏡,讓我莫名想起清邁或是京都,舊的木頭門、散焦的光線、有電信桿的街道,氣味噴出的同時感覺時間都慢了下來(但他明明是薄荷香不是什麼木質還是東方調呀!) 背景菸草有大量乾草的面向(苦和辣偏輕微,穿去作有氧的時候才會明顯),強化草本的層次,讓香氣在中後段更貼近創作靈感:薄荷茶,氣質不屬於一般薄荷香水的沁人心脾,明(薄荷)暗(菸草)對比之下,薄荷加上一層氤氳的光圈,菸草的味道莫名的讓我想到舊書的紙張氣味,文藝氣息算是天賦點滿 氣味的轉折走勢綿長溫順,噴6下可以持香大概12小時(噴胸口,在有冷氣的地方)(擴散一個手臂大概有6個小時),通常要半天或是劇烈運動(?)菸草才會get到,是我用過持香擴散很好的薄荷香水

pulito, essenziale, minimalistico, destrutturato. ispirato ad un viaggio sentimentale con tappe a Istanbul, in Sicilia e Marocco, ne richiama l'essenza odorosa, dipanandosi, con semplicità su un inizio misto di menta ed agrumi, che evolve su un fondo di menta e tabacco. la menta è qui fresca, dapprincipio esperidata e realistica (senza effetto chewing gum) e poi lievemente dolce. ottimo e gradevolmente mediterraneo.

This fragrance opens with a refreshing burst of mint tea and lemon, exactly what I was looking for to layer with other scents. While it seems short-lived to many people, it actually evolves into a deeper, darker scent over time, with notes of tobacco, chamomile, and sandalwood emerging in the dry down. A must-try for mint lovers—just be ready for its unexpected transformation.

A green fragrance if there was one, literally a mint bush in a bottle. Perfect for layering though only lasts about 2 hours on my skin. Smells like a warm summer day with dew droplets still on the grass in the front yard, a tea with lemongrass and mint, something sweet. I wish it lasted longer because it truly is such a beautiful, unique scent.

I've been looking for a mint note. Little did I know I sampled this and took a photo of the bottle. I didn't recognize the mint when I smelled it. But I loved the fragrance. There are definitely more notes listed on the website. Those make more sense than just mint and tobacco. It sucks people are saying it doesn't last. I still want it though

This smells amazing and really unique. However, the performance is very weak. The first hour it's a fantastic mint with lemon and tobacco, very refreshing, really invigorating; second hour it's mainly sweet light tobacco, third hour it's gone :-( If I was rich I would definitely buy it and spray it every hour...

The most realistic mint scent on the market Opens with a very strong, fresh and realistic mint with a touch of lemongrass, when it starts to dry down it becomes sweeter and smells like mint tea with honey. The smell is immaculate if you love mint , the only downside is the performance wich is quite mid. 10/10

Super strong mint and lemongrass. I can see green tobacco in it too. Love it! Update a few months in: you are not getting here the happy mint citrus combo. You are getting a deep, serious, vegetal mint and green tobacco note. Think about crushed mint leaves and tobacco leaves. Very natural and earthy.

Frankly, more than mint I smell lemongrass, verbena or ginger - it feels acidic, spicy and medicinal. There isn't much happening here, it has single dimension, but somehow avoids being flat. I'm not gonna lie, I adore it. I would never recommend it though. Overall performance is a laugh. 5/10

I just received my bottle today. Another wonderful fragrance from this house. Light, effervescent and sparkling minty freshness. It’s a perfect weekend morning scent.

Absolutely AMAZING minty goodness

The fragrance opens with the scent of freshly gathered medicinal herbs deep in a rainy forest. It feels remarkably cool, fresh, and intensely green. The herbs seem soaked with rainwater, almost sparkling with moisture and freshness. It creates the image of wandering through a misty woodland, collecting herbs and bringing them back to a small cabin hidden among the trees. The opening is invigorating and almost cooling. That refreshing chill is what makes the fragrance so captivating during the first moments. Yet after about thirty minutes, it begins to transform. It remains airy and weightless. It never settles heavily on the skin or wraps around the wearer like a blanket. Instead, it radiates outward in a soft halo. However, the coolness gradually fades. The freshly gathered herbs seem to dry in the sunlight, and the composition becomes warmer. At this stage, the fragrance reminds me of aromatic meadow herbs drying under the sun. A gentle warmth emerges, and the mint becomes much more noticeable. This is not candy-like mint, nor the sharp mint of toothpaste. Instead, it resembles a freshly brewed mint infusion or a cup of mint tea. It brings warmth, depth, and a quiet sense of comfort. In its final stage, the fragrance leads into the atmosphere of a warm wooden sauna. The scent of heated wood appears — wood that has absorbed warmth for hours and now slowly releases it back into the air. The composition becomes softer, warmer, more intimate. It feels richer yet somehow simpler at the same time. It is the scent of being comfortably warmed from within. I enjoy this fragrance very much, although I do not see it as an everyday scent. To me, it feels more like a fragrance for a particular mood, a special occasion, or a cool autumn day. In hot weather, its second and third stages might become a little too warm, while the rainy, cooling freshness of the opening feels almost perfect. This is a truly unusual fragrance and one that deserves to be experienced on skin. There is so much to explore in its development. It constantly changes and evolves, telling a story that begins in a rainy forest and ends among warm wooden walls. That is what makes it beautiful to me. Not delicious in a gourmand sense, nor because of fruits or flowers, but because of its complexity, originality, and the way its character transforms throughout its wear.

It starts off very tobacco heavy with a light amount of spearmint in the background. The opening is actually my favorite as the combo of Tobacco and spearmint is very interesting.( I like when fragrances have dark and fresh aspects intermingling. ) As it progresses the tobacco fades more into the background and a kinda darker lemony realistic type of spearmint becomes the main scent into the dry down. Honestly this is pleasant but I find it a bit flat and the performance terrible. There is also a weird aspect where it gets progressively more latex like on skin (don’t know if this is an individual thing though). For the price there are other better performing options out there like ELDO - you or someone like you , that nails the realistic minty profile a bit better imo.

I love this fragrance, but it is unfortunately flawed. A fresh Moroccan Mint Tea, with some Lemongrass, and Incense, the smell is beautiful; fresh and herbaceous. However this does not project well and has terrible longevity. On skin (depending on the day and what I’m doing), it’ll last anywhere between 30 mins to 2 hours. If I spray on clothes it lasts a few hours but ultimately never passes the 4 hour mark. Furthermore, it’s projection is limited to an intimate setting, my partner is really the only person who gets to enjoy this, so if you’re after a compliment getter, this is not the one. Such a shame because on paper this is a perfect fragrance for me. 8.5/10

When I first tried this smell, I was hypnotised by the top notes, so fresh and prominent. And I love, how it goes away after a while, leaving a slight tabacco veil. The problem that many people face with it is that it doesn't last longer than half an hour, then you can't smell it. I didn't get what to do with it at first, until I noticed that it lasts for a very long time, but when you spray it on your clothes. I'm wearing a tee today that still smells like sweet tobacco and mint, I put some perfume on it yesterday morning. It's an ok smell, not mind-blowingly beautiful or complicated, and pleasant for the cold half of the year.

No one mentioned the spices in here- I perceive clove and my partner said cinnamon. Perhaps this is part of the pipe tobacco vibe. I can see what other reviewers mean by black tea. “Mint” is not minty in traditional sense, more aromatic/spicy. Slightly sweet, does not last super long (Like 1 hour), but has been a perfect refresh in the morning before a day in nature when you want to smell what is around you and not your perfume. Also before going out to eat I like these shorter lasting perfumes so again I can smell my food and not perfume.

Another one with abysmal performance. Minty tobacco. The mint reminds me of toothpaste. So, toothpaste minty tobacco. I actually like it. Still refuse to pay this cost, I don't care how much I like it. If it won't make it to at least lunchtime, then it isn't worth 100s. Hopefully one of my other samples from the house will last longer. I have Little Song and Last Season to test. Wish it performed better.

A very realistic yet smoothed spearmint opening. So cooling and satisfying. It sort of reminds me of chewing gum but not in a bad way, it is a well done mint for sure. The drydown of this is pretty dark and bitter. For the more daring crowd if you ask me. Shades of Malle Geranium Pour Monsieur, but less toothpasty and more modern photorealistic. Disguised minimalism. 7.9/10

I love this scent. I really would like to wear it. But it disappears on me within 30-40 minutes. And it’s not just my subjective opinion, others also can’t detect it after that time. I would buy it for the quarter of the price and reapply constantly. But I can’t justify purchasing Shukran for its price. Such a shame.

First impressions from a tester strip: mostly mint, with lemongrass, and a vague smoky undertone. Same philosophy as DSD Burning Barbershop, but DSD does it better. Simple, and afterall forgettable (unless mint is what makes you happy, and in this case, that might be the best mint you'll ever smell!). A pass for me.

out of all perfumes by Meo I’ve tried this is the most optimistic one. I can feel no typical melancholy here. the fresh minty opening is fantastic. i can also feel something like green apple here. then it develops into something incensy. very easy to wear if you’re not in the mood for heavy introspection.

Hadn’t worn this one in a long time, and coming back to it today made me want to finally write a review. The mint is quite prominent from the start, green and slightly herbal. It can remind a bit of toothpaste at times, but not in an overpowering way, more softened and natural. After about 20–30 minutes, it becomes smoother, less sharp. The mint stays central, with a warmer tobacco-like background. It can lean slightly toward a mint tea impression at times, but stays mostly on the dry side. Shukran is the kind of fragrance that remains on skin without building into something dense. The structure feels quite light and linear overall, making it a bit too simple for me, somehow simply put.

Lemongrass, mint — very good and rough. On the skin, the top notes fade, but it’s worth testing further as it’s a very natural approximation of herbs from the countryside, lemons, etc. From this arises some acidity, which is also very good and needs checking. ⸻ Unfortunately, on the skin, the whole composition seems to transform into tobacco, the desired top notes vanish quite quickly, leaving a floral note, rather sour, as if the earlier roughness sadly becomes a kind of slurry — damp, strange, lingering rose or something similar, somewhat like in Tobacco Vanille or the like.

I have a departure of toothpaste and tons of lemongrass. As he calms down, a genuine, dirty and wild mint comes out. Over time I get undertones of raw sweet tobacco and bitter leather accents but basically it's a toothpaste .. A little darker. Step.

I like the smell and taste of mint and this frag has a nice smoothness to it that gives it a refreshing, uplifting vibe. Dedicated to Morocco, it's moroccan mint tea perfectly encapsulated. This frag works beautifully in the spring and summer, especially on a hot sweaty day... almost as refreshing as drinking an ice cold mojito in the shade while a warm wind shrouds you. After the sharp mint settles, I am drenched in black tea with a hint of tobacco. Nothing overpowering here nor in conflict. It's absolutely lovely. It's light, refreshing and nicely blended. Most of all, it's simple and sometimes that is exactly what one needs. However, don't be scared of its simplicity - it's smooth and natural, quietly meditative - not department store synthetic. For me, it's a nice contrast to some of the more intense, heavy scents I enjoy.

Calming effect, slightly sweet mint tea to help you get through the storm of a manic day. I have tried several mint fragrances in the last couple of months: Heeley- too much of a chewing gum, MFK- my choice for hot humid summer days and nights. In case of Shukran I found a polite, leisure kind of scent. Something to enjoy on a cosy afternoon at home, lounging and chilling.

Agree with tatonnement. This is morrocan mint tea instead of toothpaste mint. I layered it with tea-flower fragrance and somehow it shows more character. The longevity is weak somehow. - For summer night it's amazing. Tobbaco appears late but pleasant and refreshing.

Shukran is like a mint toothpaste united with mint sugarfree gum. It whiffs back and forth between mint toothpaste and mint gum. Shukran means "Thank You" in Arabic, but i just don't see what Giuseppe is seeing here! His journey from Turkey to Morocco! both are rich with flavors that swings between sweets, spices, natural soaps clean, leathers, and Moroccan Sahara! the mint just don't fit in! Maybe in England it'll fit in as mint is the favorite among English people (besides tea of course) but Morocco and Turkey! Maybe mint is used in tea in Morocco but not that much like it is in this fragrance. The tobacco is almost not there (if it's available at the first place). I can't deny that i feel completely attached to this brand somehow because when i first discovered "Notturno" back in April 2014 (you can check my review) and by coincidence when i bought a sample from one of the online websites, it went like a tachyon to be my signature. Besides, it opened up my eyes to the world of niche, the world of artistic perfumery. & since then, the favor goes to fate first, then Giuseppe for letting me enjoy this side of life. On the other hand, Giuseppe remained the same, remained THE ARTIST and never turned into a money digger like some other houses who either begun as an artist then money changed them, or begun as a fraud then showed their true colors. Eventually, This fragrance didn't meet my liking like "Notturno" & "Odor 93" because i don't like mint as my first reason, & 2nd i don't see what he saw in his trip from Turkey to Morocco! i just need to meet him one day to understand his point of view! but to mint lovers, you need to check it out cause i kind of smell some citrus in between after 20 to 30 minutes of applying which makes it a bit more twisty. Have a sniff and try it BUT never blind buy it.

Something about this reminds me of the old scratch and sniff stickers where they would use something akin to stale oregano oil for the pizza sticker or a nightmare mix of pickle and bulion for the cheeseburger sticker. I get mint but it’s not pretty like real fresh mint leaves. It smells like a “moroccan tea” scratch and sniff sticker, stale and just off. I think it is a result of trying to make a mint and tobacco mixture that just isn’t blending nicely. Thankfully the whole thing lasts for about an hour and then completely disappears. Edit: On further wears, I actually do enjoy this! Lol. It does suffer from rapid dissipation but I think I just needed to get more acquainted with the opening accord which smells vastly different/better on fabric than on skin and in both cases, smells better at arms length than up close. But the real genius of this scent comes shortly after the minty herbal opening when this dries down to a really unique green fig and mild/warm tobacco-cozy-intimate-skin-musk. I guess it is the milky sandalwood material that is giving me fig. I can’t explain it. It is definitely the work of an artistic niche perfumer who tinkers with new accords for I’ve never really smelled anything like it and it really provokes an emotional response, a sort of childhood feeling of safety in the presence of a father figure. I guess that comes from the gentle masculine notes of tobacco. Just goes to show, never settle on any opinion after a single wear. 4 out of 5.

Mint leaf tea over subtle tonka tobacco An interesting game of hot and cold, two polar opposites to my nose, cold leafy tea-like mint and creamy tobacco. Anyone who has attempted to brew fresh mint tea with fresh leaves, or has even attempted to go a step further and grow their own plants, knows how variable the flavor profile of various mint species can be. Some are intensely mentholated, peppermint, intensely cold and fresh, slightly toothpaste-like. Others not very mentholated at all, hemminway/mojito mint being notoriously low in methol and high in other aromatic compounds giving off more relaxing tea-like vibes. To my nose Shukra is in the middle of the spectrum, initially quite cold and not as gentle and inviting as the mint top note in Guerlain Herba Fresca or ELDO You or Someone like you, more similar to Miller et Bertaux Menta y Menta, a good representation of moroccan/maghreb mint. I can almost picture it with its signature white little flowers. As time passes you start experiencing more sweet aromatic almost slightly floral inflections. Finally creamy warm tobacco tones start filtering through. Quite an interesting vortex about 1 hours in of tonka against mint bridged by floral green notes. Very interesting concept, creative but not obnoxious at all. An very dynamic wearing year-round perfume, which fits well in any collection.

@Petula009 it’s not strange at all, means “thank you” in Arabic. Perfume it’s an ode to Morocco. I suppose the name is appropriate since the fragrance smells like a mint tea. In Arab culture offering tea denote hospitality, showing that the person visiting is of great value. The fresh mint and lemongrass accords blend nicely with tobacco, which is not a harsh one in this case , making the fragrance bright and juicy, perfect for spring and summer. Unfortunately the performance isn’t the best, quite short lived and needed to be be reapplied several times so for that amount of money isn’t worth it, but the concept of the fragrance and the story behind it are interesting.

The tobacco note in this fragrance speaks to the earthy tones of mint, its herbal and slightly pungent qualities, and it also gives a sweet honey illusion, a drapery of shadows and old wooden tables. Drinking mint tea in the Maghreb is almost a ritual, a connection, a gathering. This mint is different from the start: no toothpaste and no iced mojitos. Just the leaves of the plant and their subtle scent released from steaming glasses; some wind dust, some comforting incense. I don't know how, but I feel connected to a daily ritual when I wear this; I feel the place and the hum of the conversations. This is really good.

🌿 Head Over Heels 🚬 Mid-summer. I’m racing downhill with my buddies, one wrong step and I crash into a thicket of wild mint. Leaves stick to my skin, bursting with a menthol freshness so sharp it makes my head spin. Real mint - green, wild, juicy, sweet. The fall breaks a cigarette in my pocket, stolen from my dad. Tobacco mixes with mint on my fingers, creating a strange yet oddly pleasant blend: sweetish, slightly tea-like, softening the bite of the green chill. Shukran is beautiful, intense, full of life. But it vanishes as quickly as I pick myself up and keep running. @the.scent.files

The brand say there is Moroccan Dwarf Mint, Lemon, Litsea Cubeba, Moroccan Chamomile, Lemongrass, Eucalyptus, Tobacco and Sandalwood (listed in the book that comes with the discovery set) The mint is the main player here, I don’t get what other reviewers have said is a toothpaste mint, the mint here is a more rich and darker mint. This lasts a good 3-4 hours. Perfect to wake you up in the morning but also chill you out in the late evening. Another great Meo Fusciuni scent to spend some time with and not overthink it!

That first spritz is the fresh mug of moroccon mint tea that i would enjoy in the very early summer mornings before work. As it dries down the other facets come forward, the bright citrus and the soft base notes like chamomile and sandalwood. In the middle, I did find the lemongrass and lemon just a bit too forward, challenging mint as the star of the show. As it settles the base notes make this a lot softer and more floral. Agree with others about performance, longevity is about 3 hours on me

Meo Fusiuni's 2" Nota Viaggio Shukran was my last purchase from this House to complete my collection. Now I have all of his perfumes and two of the Sicilian Nota Viaggio #3 as I already had the original and wanted to have the reformulated one as well. I must admit the Shukran came as a complete surprise to me as to how much I love it. I adore all Meo's fragrances, but did not think I would love this one as much as I do. I cannot get enough of it. Giuseppi is a scent genius!!!!!

I let out an audible “whoa” upon first sniff. This is a very unique fragrance to me, I can’t draw any comparisons to others I’ve worn or sampled personally. This woke me up more than the latte I had just made before I tried shukran. So minty and bright and fresh, like an iced cold spearmint tea. No sweetness, I don’t get the tobacco, I do get a little fresh cut grass which I love. This would be an absolute head turning to smell on someone out in the wild.

This fragrance was such a surprising disappointment to me. On paper, I loved it so much. It was fresh and different from anything I had ever smelled before. I was almost ready to buy a full sized bottle on the spot. I loved the freshness of the mint and pine. However, after wearing this fragrance, the lemongrass comes through in a such a harsh and off-putting way. This would be great as a soap or a disinfectant. Not what I want to smell like.

Notes listed are tobacco and mint but to me 2# nota di viaggio (shukran) smells more like a light blend of mint and black tea, maybe some sage...Extremely simple to result almost simplicistic. Nice and unpretentious. As good as this unambitious genre can get. Rating: 6/10

What a lovely perfume! It is soft, cozy, and comforting. It is like the summer version of all the typical fall perfumes. It is very refined and unique. Unfortunately, it doesn't last long.

Beautiful, smells like fresh leaves mint Tea. I love it So much, but the longevity Is very bad. Only one hour and all Is Away.

reminds me strongly of lemon balm. A very clear and bright scent. Doesn't carry very far or last very long.
