We can talk about the concept of being underrated very thoroughly when discussing Encore du Temps. Before initiating my review, I wanted to read as much as I could about this fragrance. I especially wanted to read the previous reviews just so I know where to start. It was surprising to me how little time the previous reviewers actually wore the fragrance. I know this because their reactions were not wrong, however they were all based on the first 15 minutes or less of the opening of the fragrance. There is not one review where they have kept on. It's sad because this is a beautiful composition. But you know nothing of that if you happen to not give it a chance Beyond the 15 minute mark. This fragrance suggests the love story being a slower burn instead of a fast paced passionate story that eventually crashes and burns. This does not happen here. So it is apparent to me most people don't understand the artistic approach and the parallel between what you are smelling and how the story unfolds. Giuseppe is a very romantic person. Not just with his wife, but with every story he has told through his fragrances. He provides you a small gift on his website. A music album that corresponds to the fragrance he created while listening. I made the decision to put that album on while experiencing the fragrance for myself. That further enhances the experience and places you in the mindset Giuseppe was feeling and or how he wants you to feel when wearing this scent. Encore is an elegant floral. Almost creates a feeling of a deeper understanding of his counterpart. Or a desire to know. It is a love story but it is complicated. Authentic. And that is where you will find Real beauty. Beauty in authenticity. I wouldn't say this is my favorite of all time, but for some reason I am inspired by it. Encore speaks to me. If you give it time and assert yourself to understanding it, you will get something in return. This fragrance has a soul. All of his fragrances do. That's why his work is special, even if it's not to your taste. I would rather wear this and try to understand it over time than purchase something from Macy's that makes me feel dead inside. I don't care how pretty or how popular, I'm here for the artistry and something authentic. If those are things you are looking for as well, you have to try this out.

Encore du Temps feels very Meo Fusciuni: poetic, emotional, and a little mysterious. I could easily see myself wearing this, and now I want to explore more from the house. It opens with a delicate floral brightness, almost like citrus and tea floating over osmanthus and soft white flowers. There’s something watery, airy, and slightly fruity at first, but it doesn’t stay innocent for long. As it develops, the florals become warmer, creamier, and a little bittersweet. I get a soft indolic touch, but in a beautiful way, fresh, uplifting, and slightly sensual rather than dirty. The osmanthus feels almost unreal here: apricot skin, green tea, white petals, and a faint indolic warmth that makes the fragrance feel alive rather than clean. Some people compare it to Anaïs Anaïs, and honestly, I don’t remember that one well enough, but if they are truly similar, I may need to revisit it and save myself around $220 😅 Definitely try it on skin; it seems quite common on paper.

I had the opportunity to sniff this when I was in Bologna. I've been gravitating towards tea scents–my favourites in my fragrance wardrobe being Winter Palace by Memo, Journey Woman by Amouage, Osmanthus by To Summer and Thé Noir 29 by Le Labo. Encore du Temps opens with a watery osmanthus note with hints of fruitiness, wrapped in a cocoon of white florals. What I didn't expect was the drydown which was bittersweet, slightly dirty and very indolic–the closest scent association I can think of is the green, earthy smell of chrysanthemum stems from when my mum used to place on the altar at home. Very interesting scent that I find myself sniffing my arm throughout the day. It's not blind-buy safe, so do try it out. It's a sensual fragrance with a bitter edge. Performance is excellent in the winter, but I think it'll truly shine when it's warmer out.

This perfume definitely smells like the description. There's an herbal green tea and yerba mate with tons of delicate florals. It's very nice and it doesn't project too beastly, which is nice, but it will definitely linger on you all day. Popping up every now and again to remind you that it's still there. This is such a beautiful fragrance. It starts off more herbal tea and flowers, with a touch of something deeper but settles into really nice florals that you don't smell too often in western perfume—a scent I can't quite describe as I'm finding I have a lack of words, but they have a early morning dew feel to them. I would suggest getting a sample as the herbal opening can be a little too much for some, but stick with it into the dry down. It is such a comforting scent reminiscent of a cool morning just before the sun fully rises.

This is a classic woman’s floral I’ in my opinion. It opens with a slight hint of citrus and immediately turns into this lovely bouquet of Osmanthus and magnolia. The dry down is a blend of the florals and a slight tea note. It lasts for about 9+ hours on my clothes. I think of a confident woman who is delicate but strong. One who enjoys home and her family more than anything. Who loves to pick flowers and is soft spoken. Very beautiful creation.

I love mate and I love osmanthus. So, I love Encore du temps by Meo Fusciuni. It is a mate tea sweetened by a thick fruit juice with refreshing florals jumping here and there. It's unique. It's complicated without being difficult to understand. Longevity and silliage are within average. It is most beautiful in Autumn; but, could be worn easily in Spring and Summer nights without being annoying.

Dirty floral. Deep warmth. Opens with the faintest, candy-like quality. Makes me want to shove my face in someone's chest and huff (tbh that's kind of what it takes to smell this anyway). On the dry down, I feel it may be the benzoin? the sandalwood? that creates a muddled twinge on my skin. Kind of reminds me of gardenia a little bit, in the way it can turn sour. I know I say this on every Meo, but jeez, the poor longevity and immediate intimacy of these things is so *incredibly* frustrating. This is the longest lasting of the three I've decanted, but I had to overspray like hell to achieve that in the first place. It's a simple, lovely smell and I would adoooore this on a man, but I would not say it's FB worthy.

Opens as a watery apricot tea and starts to take on a slightly more dry feel as florals and mate move in. It eventually dries down to a very beautiful slightly indolic white floral. The scent itself is beautiful but there’s something a bit boring about it. Perhaps is a bit too classic and feels like it’s been done before? It’s definitely a bit more mature and feminine leaning than I’d like it to be.

I was looking for an inoffensive, safe scent to wear in office surroundings, to respect the right of others to a clean, undisturbing yet inspiring workspace, yet to be able to showcase my personal style and liking of white flowers and tea. Nice longetivity and sillage. To me, this is a well-balanced art piece I am proud to feature.

comment from my boyfriend: you smell like rotten roses. nice comment and I actually quite enjoy this indolic vibe this perfume has. it’s not your typical fresh flower garden. something more introspective and a bit weird. in the drydown it gets powdery and a bit sweeter. to me this perfume exudes femininity.

I find it hard to get past my belief that the owner and perfumer of this house has some megalomaniacal Jesus complex (see also Filippo Sorcinelli, another one that gives me the heebie-jeebies), so one again, I will test myself to separate the art from the artist. Encore du Temps obviously uses a lot of osmanthus absolute. I mean, a lot, or as much as Imprezzabile could get away with. I love the material so much, but it is so distinct as to be a perfume unto itself: apricot-fruity, sour-floral, tea-like, with a leathery backbone. I mostly smell it in the first stage, some citrus and what I perceive as Magnolan to give it some body. Magnolan, produced by Symrise, is magnolia-like as one would expect, but is also somewhat geranium-like and is used to flesh out citrus and florals. It does make the osmanthus absolute feel more sheer, as it does tend to feel rather dense (which is deliciously showcased in Diptyque Kimonanthe). Here, it seems to be suspended as to seem on tenterhooks, nervously clinging on to some surface, but it's a surface with no real shape or purpose. It's a bit perplexing. I wait for it to go somewhere, to advance to a new movement, but it just ends up feeling like some incomplete study on osmanthus absolute. This is quite the contrast to the lofty, almost belaboring narrative as provided by Meo Fusciuni, expounding upon desire, urgency, journeys, the claim that Encore du Temps "celebrates the absence of time as a subtraction of obscurity, as an amazing beauty linked to the present, a suspension of the soul that allows to be happy." With all due respect, please spare me. I am trying to understand this wayward osmanthus absolute floating spiritlessly in Magnolan. I don't "get it." Please help me. Hours later, it's mostly sandalwood vagueness, and I am left feeling like the osmanthus absolute (and what I believe could be some champaca absolute as well) could've been put to much better use. That this was nominated for an Art and Olfaction award leaves me incredulous.

🏡 The Garden After Morning Watering 💧 I wake at six. In the kitchen, a small ritual awaits: I sift the matcha through a fine mesh, pour in hot water, and whisk it with a bamboo chasen. A thick green foam rises, the scent rich and slightly bitter, like freshly cut grass. With the cup in my hand, I step into the garden and begin watering the flower beds. Water slides down magnolia leaves; droplets hit the soil, releasing the scent of wet grass and something sweet, light. The magnolia breathes its fragrance into the damp air. By the fence, osmanthus bushes bloom. When water touches their petals, a soft sweetness unfolds — peachy, airy, gently powdery. I take a sip of matcha. It tastes green, fresh, with a hint of mellow sweetness. Like this garden. The magnolia smells more vivid now, tender and innocent, like vintage face powder from an old vanity. In the background drifts a touch of benzoin, as if someone were burning incense beyond the fence. Sandalwood lingers like the terrace wood — warm, smooth, pale. Encore du Temps is the scent of this morning captured in a bottle: water on leaves, matcha in a cup, the sweetness of flowers mingling with moist greenery. @the.scent.files

I kind of what to gatekeep this fragrance. When I first smelt all of the perfumes on strips this one I was so excited about trying. On skin though it’s even more beautiful. I can really pick up on the champaca, osmanthus and green tea. It’s a touch modern vintage smelling. Lasts all day. It’s not so warm here today, but looking forward to testing this in heat as other Meo Fusciuni perfumes just shine in the heat. I feel this is something you want to wear when you want to feel dressed up, there’s a real happy side to this perfume and could wear this day or night. Genuinely cannot work out why more people don’t rave about this one. Edit to say after wearing this again recently, this scent does funny things to my brain, it’s so delicious. I want to just soak myself in this, I don’t want to be without this.

One of the most moving, elegant, and evocative fragrances I have ever experienced. It opens vibrantly with citrus notes that are quickly infused with balsamic, herbal, and floral nuances, creating an almost bittersweet impression. An osmanthus tea of timeless elegance, romance, and depth. Another masterpiece by Fusciuni, one that steps away from the darker existential undertones of Imprezzabile to tell, through his unique sensitivity, the beauty and depth of the bond he shares with his companion in life and adventure, Federica. It is difficult to put into words the magnitude of this fragrance’s love letter, yet its essence captures and immortalizes it in its highest form of sublimation.

Opens with a strong green tea note with bright citrus and a slight herbal/medicinal note, like a more fully nuanced version of Arden’s Green Tea. Backgrounded with sandalwood and a bit of an incense note. Sweetness emerges in the drydown from the magnolia and osmanthus. Like visiting a small import shop full of tea supplies, teak furniture, incense, with a little altar off to the side with fresh mandarin oranges as offerings. Elegant and refined, wears close to the skin, truly unisex.

It's a heady floral-tea & it's fantastic. I don't wear much of this genre, but this one has the punch. This house is a hit & miss for me, Varanasi being a no, Little Song being a love & so is this one. It's very unisex & the best performing Fusciuni, hands down. The photorealistic description is accurate, one can vividly visualise osmanthus & champaca falling on a cup of mate tea. It gets noticed & is a major mood-shifter. Dense yet ethereal, pure yet fleshy, indolic flowers that still retain a twinkle of purity, a veil of former innocence, a recently lost virginity, heady osmanthus and spices, it manages to be clean and dirty at the same time. Inspirational, refined, carnal, unpretentious, authentic.

I find this to be one of the most approachable scents from the Meo Fusciuni line. Citric and slightly indolic, but uplifting and fresh. I would say white floral lovers will easily appreciate Encore du temps.

Beautiful. A must from the line, especially if you like fruity, smoky, moody, and powdery vintage touches. I need more than one mL sample. Better on skin than a blotter.

IMO this is the most unisex perfume by Meo. My wife bought it, I ended up using it. Some cool sexiness is hidden behind the strong tea-ish notes.

I smell something leathery in it. May be it's mate. Strong on magnolia.
