Narcotico

Sharp, sweet, and steeped in incense, Narcotico unravels with a medicinal edge, herbal and bitter. It has an almost funky quality, like the scent of ancient scrolls stored in a forgotten library, their parchment infused with the wisdom of ages past. This initial burst is dark and commanding, setting the stage for the depths that follow. As the fragrance evolves, it plunges into a verdant and earthy heart dominated by patchouli and high-quality oud—thick, damp, and unmistakably Indonesian. It’s a dense green fog, where leather notes emerge like relics unearthed from the soil. The composition feels like a fougère fragrance rediscovered after centuries of slumber, musty yet beautifully alive. There’s a dirtiness to it, a primal quality that’s both unsettling and magnetic, echoing the textures of damp moss and fungal growth hidden beneath layers of leaves. As the shadows settle, Narcotico reveals its final act: a dusty, vanillic embrace where patchouli remains steadfast, now clean and leathery. Sweet balsamic notes emerge, carried by green whispers that linger like echoes in a vast, empty hall. The dry-down is serene yet haunting, a harmonious blend of sweetness and decay that feels like the breath of a long-forgotten forest. Narcotico is not a fragrance for the faint-hearted. It is an olfactive tableau of old, forgotten places—where ivy reclaims stone walls, and nature’s whispers tell stories of lives long past. It is dark, musty, and verdant, yet profoundly beautiful, a tribute to the eternal interplay between decay and renewal. In my opinion, this is one of Meo's more challenging works that requires a mature nose.

For those of us who want the addictive smell of gasoline mixed with motor oil and all the other chemicals of a rural garage, the opening of this one succeeds in a big way. Slowly after that initial blast, all the ingredients spread out and it becomes more wearable. The gasoline opens up so that I realize it wasn't gasoline but a sharply herbal apothecary the whole time - thyme and patchouli and a melange of whatever else. In the base, the benzoin, tonka, and labdanum combine to a warm, resinous, and slightly powdery base evocative of some vintage ambers, but the sharp apothecary never quite loses its grip, keeping this fragrance unique and bold all the way through the wear. This is not a perfume most would want to wear, but it's for a few of us. And I'm glad to be one of the few. FYI, here are the notes from the pamphlet I got with the bottle: Labdanum, benzoin, oud, Guaiac wood, Patchouli, Tonka Bean, Incense, Thyme, Vetiver.

Brooding. Leathery. Solemn. A fitting fragrance for the name "Narcotico". Smells like novocaine, cold lips, black olives, a rugged man in biker leather, a grim day out in the woods, alone. The ash of a clove cigarette. Starting a campfire among the stone and fallen trees, all littered with moss. Deep thoughts, mostly regrets, weighing heavy on the mind. Forsaking the wounded heart in favor of stoicism. Gray turning to black. Oh yes, this one's a feeling. Or, the loss of feeling. Do I need to mention I love this? And look, do yourself a favor.. this stands on its own, but if you want to warm it up, layer this with Montale's Dark Vanilla. You will be the epitome of deadly seduction, male or female. You're welcome. Black hearts rejoice.

Blind buy and my first Meo Fusciuni. It is very in your face and medicinal when you initially spray it, but when you do give it some time, it mellows out and becomes something very nice... Dark, dry, a little sweet, woody, a little dusty and a little animalic from the oud. Perfect for the colder months and evenings. But i think you can easily wear this throughout the day too. Not blind buy safe, but you will like this if you enjoy darker scents or patchouli in general. I am very happy with my purchase and i cannot wait for fall to arrive so i can rock this puppy!

For some reason this layers amazingly with Rosendo Mateu No5. Naroctico is very sharp and strong in the opening, but spraying RM5 over it mellows it way down and the whole thing gets lighter and almost airy?? I’m getting a fruity vanilla base, mixed with chocolatey patchouli from Narcotico.. but the thing isn’t strong at all, i guess the musk and powdery elements of RM5 are working their magic here, everything is staying soft. Pretty cool ngl.

"Narcotico" è essenzialmente una versione amarognola di Patchouli con sentori rossastri, piccanti. E' un profumo atipico, persistente e duraturo, dove al secondo posto si percepiscono note di benzoino ed incensi. Più deciso dello straordinario "Notturno" ma decisamente meno complesso dell'infinito "Odor 93". 185 euro sono comunque sovraprezzate...

IT. Senza dubbio qui si tratta di una fragranza puramente maschile. Se esistesse una donna che avrebbe il coraggio ad indossarlo, l'impressione che abbia messo una camicia del suo fidanzato la seguirebbe comunque. Secondo me questo profumo segna una via d'uscita dalla crisi artistica per il suo creatore Giuseppe Imprezzabile che, dopo un fallimento con "Luce", apparentemente abbia cominciato a pensare ad un cambiamento nella carriera verso qualcosa meno rischioso. Torniamo quindi al profumo: l'incenso in cima della piramide olfattiva vi riporta in una delle vecchie chiese in una piccola cittadina del sud Italia. Poi, fava tonka e benzoino - un misto allucinogeno, insieme con l'incenso creano dei sentimenti contrastanti, come se l'autore sia all'incrocio tra lo spirituale ed il crollo nell'inferno della droga. Tuttavia, come sempre succede nelle favole, dove il bene trionfa sul male: la base olfattiva vi lascia una dolcezza della vaniglia e ricca-legnosa di Oud, mescolata con patchouli. Il muschio crea l'atmosfera di sessualità, che suggerisce la vittoria sulla depressione e, si spera, una nuova strada verso le creazioni ancora più belle firmate "Meo Fusciuni". Spero che mi sia riuscito descrivere questa fragranza e l'idea dietro la sua creazione, o forse vale la pena di smettere con le descrizioni del profumo, ma esprimere il sentimento che quest'ultimo crea nell'anima, cioè: "Narcotico - è una droga da provare". EN. No doubt there is a purely masculine fragrance. If there is any woman who would try to wear it, the impression that she has put a shirt of her boyfriend would follow her anyway. For me this fragrance marks a way out of the artistic crisis for its creator Giuseppe Imprezzabile that, after a failure with "Luce" apparently has begun to think about a change in career to something less risky. Lets return then to the perfume itself: the incense on top of the olfactory pyramid brings you in one of the oldest churches in a small town in southern Italy. Then tonka bean and benzoin - some kind of hallucinogen mix, that together with incense create strange feelings, as if the author is at the intersection between the spiritual and the collapse in the hell of drugs. However, as always happens in fairy tales, where good triumphs over evil: the olfactory base leaves you a sweetness of vanilla and rich woodiness of Oud, blended with the patchouli. Then the moss creates the atmosphere of sexuality, suggesting victory over depression and, hopefully, a new way to the even more beautiful creations signed "Meo Fusciuni". I hope I was able to describe this fragrance and the idea behind its creation, or it might be worth to stop with the descriptions, but express the feeling that this perfume creates in my mind: "Narcotico - let yourself be tempted".

Have no doubt: this is a patchouli-centered fragrance. It is quite enchanting and mystical... And I don't say that about many fragrances. It opens with the patch and some warmth. . Most likely from the vanilla + tonka bean. But I don't sense vanilla at all... In fact I swear there is birch in this. I get that same slightly medicinal / mentholated and herbal vibe that birch can have in this. The warmth will imperceptibly fade, and the cool resiny / musk will be what supports the patch from here on out. It's a fairly linear fragrance, but a good one. Longevity is excellent with about 12 hours for me. Sillage is great too... Maybe 4-6 before becoming a skin scent. I'm a fan of Meo Fusciuni scents. Shout out to Fragrance Vault for introducing me to them.

I just got a bottle. It is somewhat challenging like many of Giuseppe's other creations. It opens up quite rough. Almost chemically, oily. The initial blast reminds me of an old workshop, WD-40. But it quickly gives way to heavy and woody patchouli supported by a slightly sweet benzoin, vanilla, tonka combo. But the dank patchouli is in the center. I can see why people reference chapels in their more picturesque reviews of this. In my opinion it can become almost a bit powdery in the last bit of the dry-down. The longevity seems pretty good to me. EDIT: the only quality I am not a fan of is the last bit of the drydown which becomes almost bitter. I don't care much for the scent left on clothes from this :D which is unfortunate

An incredibly atmospheric fragrance. A picture emerges of ancient stones, weathered walls, forgotten, partially destroyed churches, temples and fortresses whose roofs have long since disappeared or whose domes have been pierced, where animals find refuge from the harsh weather and scorching sun.

first impression: Indie sleaze. A little thrill. Getting lost in the familiar. The first couple minutes are captivating, but then it slowly turns dusty oud. Sort of like finding something amazing at the vintage store only to get it home and realize it is, in fact, old and used

my first thought: rotten apple! amazingly done. intriguing scent. also a bit like old dusty wooden house. gets powdery and slightly animalic in the drydown.

This is a tease to me. It smells so rich, nuanced, complex and unique but the dry down becomes cloying and generic.

Part burned like the head of a burning match. Smoky, a little chewy, with benzoin, myrrh, possibly birch and a light, moldy patchouli. The overall effect is moist, raw, with a hint of white flowers and dewy green stems. Fresh like a bunch of white gerberas and indole like an unripe pitosporum bush. Tuberose? Mimosa? Narcissus? I can't identify. The oud I take is sour and medicinal and is mixed with a clean musk and a dash of measured vanilla and tonka, which contributes to an interesting and unusual trail. Calm the spirit like an old church, cool, in the summer. With an incense consumed for some time but which has impregnated the environment and the surrounding walls. It has a good sillage, I got noticed. On me it lasted about 6 hours. It improves with evolution where on my skin I get a more vanilla but still cold leather of fresh flowers. The finish is welcoming and relaxed, with an ancient flavor. A sweet aroma similar to beeswax. Interesting.

The opening is the bread and butter of this fragrance. A perfect balance of smoke, dark woods, and patchouli, wrapped in fine benzoin fumes. I also get a prominent leather accord that compliments the composition very well. However, after about thirty minutes Narcotico does a complete 180 and becomes a dusty, pungent, and moldy patchouli fragrance that I don't enjoy at all. The tonka is partly to blame here, as it is used is the same fashion as CdG's Black Pepper; coming across as cold, dusty, and musky. Overall I find Narcotico to be a stoic, flavorless scent, that shows craftsmanship but ultimately leaves a lot more to be desired.

Was really disappointed with this fragrance. Smelt medicinal and not in a cool fun herbal way but in an icky way. 2/10

A massive freakout, but probably too much for me, unpleasant. Still worth checking out.

Smells like unwashed hippy. Gross.
