Mercedes-Benz Sea

Dudes be comparing this with their collection of 150 niche fragrances for $200+ each. I know we all have different noses, different skins, different tastes and likings, but concerning Mercedes Sea - you are all wrong. Literally everyone around me falls in love with it, compliments come from all over the place and I will most likely buy 10 backup bottles of it, in case it gets discontinued. Probably the safest blind buy ever.

This is a great 'grab-and-go' bottle for humid days and outdoor walks. It stays noticeable for about six hours but sits much closer to the skin after the halfway mark. It’s clean enough for work without being overpowering, but keep a travel spray handy if you want that fresh 'just-applied' feel by the afternoon.

Very pleasant and mass appealing cheapo

This whole collection was a bit of a letdown. This is a generic aquatic but very synthetic and calone heavy. Good Looking bottle but the atomizer sucks. The Violet is kinda there in the background but doesn't really add anything to the profile for me. I'd say it's a slightly better voyage for 3x the price. Edit: I guess I have to give it's flowers, my nose must've been fried when I tried it. The Aquatic have a bit more depth then the average aquatic freshie and like the rest of the collection it adds a little sweetness (from the violet). I had a headache the first time I tried it but it hasn't been there since so it must've been the exception, not the rule. Don't like it enough to warrant keeping it around though. Kind of reminding me a Byredo I've had before (but can't remember), maybe Mojave Ghost or Bal d'Afrique.

Very forgettable, generic aquatic, yet some may like the pronounced violet with this flowery-aldehydic calone. Soapy fresh, but in a good way, it smells clean. The main thing is that it lacks complexity and doesn't feel very polished, like a top designer fragrance. Love the looks- you need to put three bottles together to form a unique complete one. 6/10

@KACVINE -- bought this based on your comparison to Amara and was not disappointed. First spray in the bottlecap I felt "No way, not even close..." but after a little while went back, post dry-down, and it's totally a lighter Amara. Side by side, bottlecap to paper, Amara has more depth, a little darker/dirtier (olibanum/patchouli/sulfur) compared to Sea, but very much in the same vein -- Sea has a greener aspect/tint (violet leaf) compared to Amara, the patchouli dialed back in comparison, but dry-down is incredibly similar. Ecstatic to have found this -- Thanks for the rec!!

All of these 3 releases are very mediocre. Generic to say the least. This one is a calone scent. The land is somewhat similar to Davidoff Horizon of the more recent Bvlgari Terrae essence and the air is very light and airy. Nothing new nothing particularly interesting

This scent is OK at best. Glass bottle looks good and feels good, nice somewhat restrictive design compared to what we're used to nowadays. Cheap cap and one of the worst atomizers i've ever encountered. True let down. Weak and bad spray pattern.

Very generic, citrus is strong. But what can I say, the scent was strong for about 4 hours, noticable and would grab you periodically for about 8-9 hours. Still faint after 14 hours. I wish all performed this well.

Tangerine with violet leaves. Somewhat like mixing 30% of Fahrenheit with 70% of Nautica Life. Extremely generic but pleasant nonetheless. Somewhere between BDC and Fahrenheit too.
