Mercedes-Benz Select Night

Worth it 100%!! A lot of people compare it to Tom Ford Noire Extreme they don’t smell exactly alike. I can see it gives that impression of TF Noire Extreme maybe because of the spices but they aren’t identical. Mercedes-Benz Select Night is gorgeous and a fall/winter scent and is meant for formal wearing and date nights, especially in a suit. This composition is terrific and blended nicely. I already see YouTubers are hyping this fragrance up. At one point it was about $34 now I’m seeing it range anywhere from $47-$60 and that’s at discounters. Also, it’s very hard to get a bottle of it as well most places are sold out on this. If you like soft spicy fragrances that include cardamom, cinnamon, anise, etc this should be on your fragrance purchase list. This fragrance has that Indian dessert kulfi vibe but still not like TF noire extreme. But it does smell gourmand-ish like the soft spicy Indian dessert called kulfi. Projection: This is an EDP concentration and it lasts on clothes for a very long time. On the skin, I would say 8-9 hours at least on my skin. The Sillage on Mercedes-Benz Select Night is incredible for cold nights out this stuff cuts through the wind like butter and everyone walking past you can smell you and will probably compliment you. This stuff is 10/10 I wouldn’t wear this in the summer because it can be clothing in the Heat. Final thoughts: Hurry up and buy this because the price is steadily creeping up at a lot of discounters and is hard to come by. This would make a perfect Christmas gift. Also perfect occasion to wear this fragrance is now in the winter.

Absolutely one of the best in my collection. This stuff is underrated by miles and miles. As the reviewer below me noted, if this had been released by one of the big 'niche' houses, it would be a massive hype-beast. It is known for a similarity to TFNE, but honestly, it isn't as close as the reviews here make it seem. I should say, this is what TFNE wishes it was. I had (and subsequently sold) a bottle of TFNE after my wife complained that I smelled like a I had stolen one of my daughters' fragrances to wear. This is BETTER than TFNE in every possible way. Select night is a HUGE performer, and the level of complexity this has is incredible at this price point. Masculine, spicy, deep, rich, but totally wearable imho regardless of circumstance. This can be worn casually, or dressed up. I'd hesitate to wear it in warm weather, but other than that it has a good amount of versatility. If you like TFNE, but find it too feminine or weak, give this a go. It is inexpensive, and punches well above its price point (and rating as well).

The initial opening is a citrus and spicy scent with an undertone of clean floral notes. 15 Min - I am starting to pick up on the Orange Blossom note and it is proivding some balance to the citrus and spice. 30 Min - The vanilla scent from the Guaiac Wood note is starting to come through along with the Orange Blossom giving this a creamy sweet and floral scent profile. At 90 minutes into the wear I am getting a creamy Vanilla and soft wood scent profile with a slight earthiness bringig some balance to the sweetness. Dry Down: The dry down of this fragrance is a beautiful Vanilla and soft woody scent that really provides a comforting scent for a date night of cozy evening. Performance: Projection of this fragrance is Good with the frangrance creating a scent bubble of about 2 Feet for about 2 Hours. The sillage is also Good with a scent trail of about 2+ feet for about 2+ hours. Longevity is OK with the fragrance lasting on my skin about 5 to 6 hours, and becoming a skin scent at about 3 hours.

The moment I smelled MBSN I was instantly transported back to my teens. The initial spray and first few hours were an exact copy of an incense I had multiple boxes of back then. The scent was bright fruity and crisp with creamy woods and a dash of floral. As it progressed I found a fresh sweetness, woody nuances, and a touch of soft laundry like notes all mingling together. After drying down the fragrance is still woody, powdery, and maintained the laundry/linen vibe. The atomizer on the bottle is superb and sprays hearty blasts so you won't need more than two realistically, but that's personal preference. I was able to get a solid day of longevity and strong projection. Pretty sure you could still smell this on clothing for quite some time after wearing them. Glad I took the chance and grabbed it based on research beforehand. Not getting the Noir Extreme comparisons though, at least not the original run of NE anyway.

The smell of this fragrance is quite addictive and luxurious but it is quite strong. After like 2 hour it feels a lot weaker just spray a bit more with this one and it can last up to 9 hours. It does change not to much but it is not completely linear though.Great bang for buck. Scent 9/10 Longevity 8/10 Projection 8.5/10 Sillage 8.5/10 Value for money 9.5/10 Overall 8.8/10 For the scent I get mostly cardamom, lavender, orange blossom, woods and vanille. First 2 hours 5 feet projection and can cut through the cold like butter with great sillage. After that it becomes pretty much a skin scent. I bought 2 spare 100ml 3.4 oz testers for $48 so value is really good on this one if you already had one.

Fantastic. This does smell similar to Tom Ford's Noir Extreme, but I quickly tired of that one. The kulfi note began to smell like spoiled milk. Also, Tom Ford fragrances all seem to have an underlying perfumey smell that just annoys me. But enough about that. Let's get back to Mercedes Benz Select Night. From start to finish, it's a smooth creamy ride 😲 If you love vanilla, you'll love this. Also, when my girlfriend at the time first smelled this on me during a hug, she whispered something in my ear that may get me banned from this community if I repeat it verbatim. So I'll paraphrase....."I want to procreate with you right now, whether you consent or not".

This fragrance is a compliment monster, it smells so creamy, sophisticated and elegant. also it's incredibly well blended, and it lasts i would say about 8 hours or so. not beast mode by any means, it's more of an intimate type of fragrance. Now you'd be surprised to know that the oil concentration is actually 25%, pushing the boundaries of parfum intense and getting closer to an extrait even. they're marketing it as an EDP which is kinda strange, i'm just letting you know, don't spray on light colored shirts from a close distance. My final rating is a 9.6/10!

Gate keeping this one ... ;) I've only had an hour with it but it immediately reminded me of Shiyaaka for Men (Khadlaj) which is itself inspired by Reflection man. It's not as "metalic" or effervescent as Shiyaaka, but the cleanness of it reminds me of that fragrance; they share a sweet powderiness to me that is very similar. I'm not getting spicebomb or spicebomb extreme, at least not yet.I mostly pickup on the floral sweet (but not cloying) sense of it. I don't usually go for backup bottles given the extent of my collection ... but maybe I will on this one!

This is *plenty* close enough to Noir Extreme, and both perform about the same on my skin; so I think I found my new fall favorite. Sweet spice and class, neatly bottled in a nice enough package. This is my second Mercedes fragrance, and they just seem to know who to hire for this sort of thing. Olivier Cresp is a heck of a talent. I hope this doesn't get discontinued anytime soon, because I could easily wear this every single autumn day, for the rest of my life . As much as I love their fragrances, I'll never overpay for Tom Ford again.

I can see the comparisons to noir extreme on first spraying, but I wouldn't consider this a clone. I also get the comparison to extraordinary by roccobarocco. The dry down smells like a 50/50 mix between the two. It has the spicy kulfi vibe from noir extreme, and the vanilla in this smells exactly like the vanilla in extraordinary. As mentioned below, this has just the right amount of lavender to give it a fresh and calming undertone. Unfortunately I think I immediately go nose blind to it, but I do still get whiffs through the day.

It arrived yesterday! This is really good! Really has vibes of Noir Extreme, also Spicebomb OG, but not as spicy! This is more subdued, but smooth and well blended! Maybe I like this as more versatile and versatile! can also be worn on cooler summer days IMO. A very pleasant fragrance with good longevity up to 8 hours on me and unobtrusive, can be worn to work and on a date and won't hurt anyone! There should also be such fragrances in the collection that are more universal. For compliments I will update in the future!

Very nice interpretation and mix of popular fragrances like TF Noire Extreme and Spicebomb. As already said, Mercedes NIght has different proportions of spices and mixes with a little more floral note exposed but retains some of TF and Spicebomb DNA that comes to mind. Overall a very good scent with decent performance from Mercedes and considering the price (I paid ~30 euros) you cant go wrong with this one. Along with Club Black it's one of the Merc's best perfumes recently launched. 8/10

this fragrance speaks to me on a deeper level, i don't know what it is, I just connected with it since I first smelled it It gave me a nostalgic feeling even though I've never smelled it befor. I get a tuberose note, very prominent one, even though it's not listed. It could be the orange blossom but i feel it's more tuberose. After that the vanilla and a hint of cardamom come to play with their friend, a linear smell but when something smells so good why would you want it to change?! 10/10

I understand the comparison with Tom Ford .. There is a similar feeling but without the rose which brings that touch of femininity. The scent is also classy but much more masculine in my opinion. (My entourage thinks so too). I will classify it between Spicebomb and Extreme Black. FYI, I don't like Spicebomb, nor Extreme Black, too feminine for my taste, but I'm completely in love with Mercedes Benz select night! I place it in my top 5 ! My rate: 8.5/10

I really like this fragrance and really into it just like @Flamma :D :D In the opening get some Spicebomb EDT and Bvlgari Man in Black vibe, but not a clone at all. This is a very smooth, spicy, vanilic, woody and bit floral, aromatic fragrance. In the opening fresh spicy and a drydown turn into a warm spicy. I think it is unique in it's own way. May got inspiration from other fragrances but not a clone at all. Easy in my top 10 fragrances.

Mercedes-Benz Select Night is pretty good. The nice creaminess of it gives association and inspiration to Tom Ford Noir Extreme but it's not exactly the same and less sweet. There's still a luxurious feel about it. It doesn't project that well and has a small scent bubble just around the wearer. The composition makes it suitable for all settings. It does have the calming and soothing effect with it's lavender and powdery creaminess.

I like how wearable this one is and will definitely do nicely in colder climates. Smells expensive, warm and very pleasant which wont annoy anyone. The creaminess of this frag is super nice and punchy, even if you have a large collection this one is a definite double up and a worthy addition to the shelf, the dry down is where Select Night shines brilliantly. Great bottle design too.

Select Night is another great scent by Mercedes-Benz! Very stylish, masculine, but modern in a cozy way! Aromatic, warm, woody, spicy...Perfect for Autumn / winter or night out... I love the way Olivier Cresp took day-time classic masculine idea and converts it into a warm and seductive night modern perfume, but still elegant and deep one. Great job!

Wow! This is really special. So luxurious. So sweetly, luxurious. And if you look at the note breakdown, you'll see that this is THE GOLDEN PROFILE. It is the structure that many attempt, but very few achieve. Olivier Cresp achieves that here for Mercedes, auto-icon. This is a hidden gem in the frag world, its milder and much more wearable cologne inspired by TF Noir Extreme (not a clone and nowhere near its DNA), Its dark, perfect for night out or a date, works best in colder temps. It has unique character and will make you stand out in a crowd. Feels sophisticated and grown up.

There's definitely cinnamon in here, it's the most prominent note! Even though it's not listed. Next the vanilla and the woods, followed by the white florals. Fantastic quality, beautiful scent, great performance and a lovely bottle, all for good price! . To me this is fragrance perfection at its best.

This is a beautiful fragrance on it's own, they weren't trying to copy anything with it, it's an original. Try to enjoy it on it's own, don't get as copy of TF noir extreme, it's a different scent but fantastic in it's own way. If you like white florals, spices, powdery vanilla, you'll like this.

This is a wonderful scent. Comparing to TF Noir Extreme, I would say they smell similar in a way, but Mercedes isnt a clone let's be clear. I think its spicier but lighter (less sweet) than TF Noir Extreme. The opening is more lavender,floral and the dry down is sweet, spicy, woody, just lovely.

Mercedes Benz Select Night is a great scent, it gives me root beer vibes with a creaminess to it that makes it unique and perfect for summer Night. It projects well and lasts forever.which is rare on my skin. Overall I'd rate it an 8.5 out of 10 and highly recommend it.

Beautiful fragrance, I’ve had it for about a year and a half. Better suited for winter and fall, as I live in a very hot climate I really look forward to wearing this when the weather permits. Inoffensive, smooth and lovely. Just wish that it lasted a bit longer.

Very nice fragrance. Easily top 3 from the MB line up. Got a bottle at $44 which I think it’s decent. Doesn’t project like a beast, more like a close scent for intimate settings. Can be safe for the office too. I’d give it a 8/10.

My favorite Mercedes-Benz fragrance thus far. I love all of these notes, and they just come together so beautifully. I have yet to try Club Black. See what that one has in store.

Very nice and elegant, good for date nights and special occasions. Way better than ysl la nuit de l’homme the only downside is the longevity 8/10

Great stuff! Like a mix of CK One Shock and TF Noir Extreme. Maybe a touch more cardamom. More grown up than other two.

I got this at the mercedes-benz museuem in Frankfurt. Very nice soothing Coca Cola with vanilla scent 8/10

It smells like coco cola mixed in with vanilla not to mention how juicy and refreshing it feels on skin.

Spice bomb with just 25% of the spice. Perfect date night spring/fall scent.

For the price It smells amazing.. HIGH QUALITY JUICE. Well done Mercedes.

The smell is a 9.5/10 but longevity is average, about 6h.

This fragrance is sooooo freaking good.

This does smell somewhat similar to TF Noir Extreme on the dry down but I think its a bit of a stretch. On the opening its more powdery and definitely less sweet and less gourmand and definitely less strong. If you can get this for $36 like I did then it may be worth it. I would never pay full retail for this (close to $100). The Kulfi note is definitely missing, which is what i think makes it not as close as it could be. To my nose, this also does not smell that close to Spicebomb Extreme and less close to Spicebomb Original. I don't get the Bvlgari MIB comparisons people have been making either. Waaay less spicy. . As a stand alone fragrance, its definitely decent. Longevity is ok, projection is not big and sits close to the skin. If you're looking for a TF clone, Just Jack Noir Endurance is closer, but the performance sucks on that one. I pick this up sometimes on a rainy or cooler day which is when I think it's most appropriate. I tried layering 2 to 1 with Spicebomb Extreme and it adds just enough sweetness to be somewhat similar to TF Noir Extreme.

A very lavender forward scent upon opening. This is slowly, and faintly, supported by notes of vanilla, spice and woods. I find it to be a very comforting scent that is best suited to more intimate occasions due to the projection being limited. Certainly not one for warmer weather. As far as comparisons, I'd say I can see sense in it being similar to Noir Extreme, Spicebomb Extreme & Le Male Le Parfum. However, this would be a very distant relative of those fragrances. Do not expect to get anything close to any of them. As a stand alone, this is for sure going to get you a few compliments and is seriously slept on! Overall, I'd give this one an 8 out of 10.

Haven't smell Tom Ford's Noir Extreme, but this is a pleasant vanilla, woody frag. It doesn't smell like cola to me, but I can see where some people might interpret it like that. There's plenty of creaminess from the vanilla and sandalwood. Lightly spicy. Performance is average on my skin. Best for cold weather but could be worn comfortably on cool summer nights too. At current discounter prices (under $50), this is a good value.

Not like the TF there are some similarities but it is a bit different. I get way more florals and baby powder type of scent, it is sweet but not overly sweet. On my skin it lasts around 6 hours, you get a close bubble for maybe an hour. Club black has better performance but it is really sweet. It is not a bad fragrance this one is second to club black from this brand/house on my list. 7.5/10

This is very easy to wear. It will garner compliments. Doesnt project very far, but thats because it's an intimate scent. Date night, getting close type of scent. It barely holds a candle to Club Black, BUT it has a perfect use. For the price, it's well worth the scent profile. Mercedes for another win

This is spicy but it's subdued and has a calming and clean presence to it. It's a smooth and soothing scent so don't expect it to be loud. This is one to wear when you feel relaxed and want something to match your mood.

The opening is different from TF noirextreme but after few minutes it starts smelling very much like it however this is lighter and airy while TF is denser and thicker

Smells like Man In Black and Costume National Homme in the begining and them dries down to a vanilla scent. It's good. Not super unique but with some good twists.

I blind bought this for $45 because everyone said this is very close to Noir extreme but more spicy and less sweet. Received it today and find it LESS spiced and MORE sweet. Arggg. I’m directly comparing it to Noir extreme spray on one wrist. So far the jury is out on whether I like it. Nice vanilla, but I find it sweeter than Noir extreme which is already very sweet. If everyone had said this was like noir extreme but sweeter and more floral I wouldn’t have blind bought it. Is there variation between bottles? My batch is 4/2021, year old. Noir extreme is vanilla ice cream with noticeable spices and woods. Very Sweet spiced vanilla creme, too sweet but crazy delicious. This one is vanilla and florals with less noticeable spices and woods. Very sweet floral vanilla syrup with a touch of spices but without the delicious creaminess. It opens with a kind of super sweet berry fruitiness (orange blossom floral?) and after 15 minutes I do smell very similar vibe to noir extreme with a kind of spicy vanilla mix...but that Joop level Sweet note lingering. After 90 minutes the sweetness is mellowing and I’m liking a very nice vanilla note with spices that smells pretty similar to NE. Still Too strong floral note though. I really wish that it matched the Main Accords listed above, Woody first. then vanilla and warm spicy. then florals. Instead The votes in the notes pyramid are closer to what I smell, first vanilla then florals then a little spices and woods. Maybe I’ll see how this bottle develops over a few weeks and decide what I think about it in certain contexts. It sounds like bottles are getting harder to come by so if nothing else I can easily sell it.

To me, this smells a LOT like Smarties or some other fruity, powdery candy, combined with the leather seats in a 2012 Lexus RX. Not 2012 Lexus RX leather interior in 2024 after 10 years of wear and tear, but how I remember the leather smelling in the Lexus RX, circa 2012, when it was brand new. Ironic, given that this product is from Mercedes. This one is very fruity and sweet, and largely just genuinely smells like photorealistic Smarties to me. I suppose it’s whatever they’re using for bergamot, but the notes here in my opinion don’t reveal too much about how this one smells in practice. 80% smarties, 15% 2012 Lexus RX leather seats, 5% Queen Helene’s Cocoa Butter Hand and Body Lotion. This may sound unhinged, but if I had an unlimited financial backing, I could prove this scientifically beyond a reasonable doubt.

#899 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I actually bought this last year and gave it away and neglected to review it at the time. The cheap synthetic bergamot oil triggered a sneezing fit every time I applied it. The scent itself was nice enough, very similar to Armaf "Odyssey Homme", the black bottle, which I gave away for the same reason. Performance was moderate. No one commented on it which speaks to the sillage. I like the basic formulation, but I think one of the newer scents on the market, Al Haramain "L'Aventure Iris" does all this so much better and is more unique. But if this were ever reformulated with actual Calabrian bergamot I'd be back, even at a higher price.

#520 in my "Tour de Fragrance" If I had a time machine that could only be used to undo a tragedy in fragrance manufacturing it would be to go back and strangle the developer of synthetic bergamot oil in the crib. That synthetic citrus smell hangs on and ruins this scent which would be okay if the synthetic bergamot had never been added to it in the first place. I may stop buying scents with citrus notes altogether as it's a near certainty the "bergamot" oil is going to be this powdered Kool-Aid smelling synthetic.

This smells amazing and last forever. Only problem for me is the florals come on too strong . Not in a good way , more like a grandma type floral mixed with the amazing vanilla . In that regard it reminds me of one million parfum ... lots of good stuff come out and I want to like it but the undertone of white florals is too strong . It becomes cloying too me and gives off far too strong of an old woman cheap perfume vibe
