Mercedes-Benz Ultimate

Another sleeper hit from Mercedes-Benz, while Club Black EDT will always be my favorite i was surprisingly SHOCKED, by ultimate; people below have compared it to Sauvage EDT & Greenley, which i do see vague similarities however I'd compare it more to ysl y green apple DNA meets pervical PDM! It has that lavender, green apple & citrus kick. Its lovely, for the price point I'd rather buy this, its a shame Mercedes-Benz are only available on discounters in the western world! Its very nice, reminds me of older formulation of Fierce from Abercrombie which gets compared to Percival but lacking lavender. Its citrus orange comes through as it dries down, the woody notes are gently present, there's even hints of violet despite non being listed above! So that might be an olfactory illusion from the lavender combination. Ultimate, might be redundant if your collection has the aforementioned fragrances, but if you want a price friendly option get this! Moderate longevity & projection, I'd argue its year round & could tolerate all seasons. In conclusion, get this if you're on a budget but want something new age but stellar, while its generic for large collections, its still unique enough that it will stand apart; it literally takes the best part of many modern fragrances & propels it forward. Well done!

I just received my bottle today , it's very nice : woody-warm . I'm more sensitive to the mandarin/amber/cypress combo . Very well blended .Office safe and for dinning out casual and formal too . It's not fresh but I can use this all year around (not in high heat) . It plays in the same level as YSL L'Homme (referring to its versatility) , of course it's an example to describe the product .. not the same aroma but the same horse for different scenarios . I do really liked a lot . Very good longevity and moderate projection , that's good enough for me . I don't want to say something to mislead the opinions but let say as a joke this in a parallel universe is a much better "L'Homme Remixed and Remastered 2022" and led by Olivier Cresp labs . Quality vs Price = excellent product Oliver !!.

Very decent versatile blue fragrance. I think it's wearable for any season, but it's almost too warm for super high heat. I'd say it's almost like a Armani Code you can wear in the summer. It kind of smells like LeMale meets Fahrenheit meets something barbershop. I'm not sure what the price is on this because I got it in a trade, but if it's under $40 it's a good deal. It smells great, and performs well. It's a great dumb reach for any guy of any age. It's mature enough for older dudes and sweet enough for younger dudes. I'm actually surprised how good it is, but to be fair I didn't expect anything from it so it wasn't hard to exceed my expectations.

This is a summer scent version of the Intense. The lavender ties it together. It’s not weak and it’s not a beast. It last a decent amount of time I get 6 to 8 hours and a decent scent bubble for 2 hours or more. Yes this still falls in the scent recognition of Fahrenheit but much smoother, so maybe the EDP Fahrenheit. The bottle and presentation is top notch and so is the juice. Blind buy.....yes if you like the Fahrenheit DNA!

Another Banger by Mercedes. Black will always be #1 with me for them, but this is #2. I have a fondness for the Blue Freshies. This one nails it. Very smooth, mass appealing in line with Y EDP, BDC, Loewe Cobalt, Boujeron, etc... Huge fan of this one, great value, work, play, 12 months a year. All good and blind buy safe if you are a Blue guy.

One of Mercedes Best. Same DNA az the rest but with a twist. Fresh spice and nutmeg really makes thiz nice and enjoyable. But hard to find.

@JusttheFactsMan, I also ordered a 100ml bottle of Select night and received a 75ml of Ultimate. It's not a terrible fragrance by any means. It's also nothing stand out either. It's good for a simple easy reach blue fragrance within the budget sector. Owning a few Mercedes fragrances, this would have to be my least favorite so far. Again not because it's bad but just because it's been done better. For that 35 dollar range, it's acceptable. However, for a 120ml on Joma it's 35 bucks. So not such a good deal from the mistake. Amazon did remedy the incorrect product shipment as these are non-returnable items.

What is this scent? In simply way to put it, think higher quality Nautica Voyage with a touch of gasoline (Fahrenheit). Personally I cant stand the Fahrenheit petrol smell - MB Intense flanker is pretty bad with gasoline, good news is, here in Ultimate, its only a very light touch, it doesnt bother me at all, in fact it makes it more interesting composition. This may be overreach but this scent is giving me hints of cherry pit.

Lavendar-dominate, fresh and bit spicy. Sweetness is in the Goldilocks zone. Slept on but shouldn't be. This one departs from the violet-dominate theme of most of the line. Super pleasant scent that can be worn year-round and won't offended anyone. I bet there's some ambroxan in here. Performance is average. Safe blind buy if you like blue fragrances.

@ Across_the_Diverge11. I think maybe you just need to shower right before applying fragrances. In no way does this smell like a cab driver

For $27 its a great buy the smell is a 7. Bottle is nice so not a bad buy. Have bought worse and more expensive. Picked it up at Ross

#1562 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I ended up with this because of a mis-shipment from Amazon. The order was for "Select Night", a scent I've had a couple of years and ran out of, and they sent this by mistake. But I had been planning at some point to give this a try, so here goes. Initially I didn't care for this at all because the opening was all nutmeg. But as it dried down I recognized the smell right away as Barbasol Original Shaving Cream. Kinda like Armani "Code Profumo" minus the leather, Maison Alhambra "Signatures II" minus the tobacco, Afnan "Ornament Pour Homme" minus the clove. In other words you've smelled all this before, with a tweak here or there, in a hundred bargain men's colognes. For example, any of the half dozen perfumer Olvier Cresp, the man behind this scent, created for the Antonio Banderas line by taking this same combo and varying one fruit note, a job for which he was definitely phoning it in as they say. I don't mind the smell of shaving cream, but there are barbershop scents I like better than this for sure. My dad shaved with Barbasol Original, so this evokes memories of him walking out of the bathroom in the evening before he and mom would head out for a night of dancing. So I would label this not just grandpa juice, but great-grandpa juice. However, for someone who has never picked up one of those striped shaving cream cans on the bottom shelf in the men's section of the grocery store, this could be a new experience. What goes around eventually comes around. Just yesterday a 20 year old barista asked me where he could get the lowest price on Chanel No 5 for his girlfriend. So, this isn't a bad scent. Acceptable quality and all. But I would point you to the similarly priced Mercedes "Select Night" or the new "Club Black Eau de Parfum" instead of this. Good Luck and Good Hunting!

Meh for me. Sprayed it on me at a mall, smells like a mall in the drydown imo. I understand why this appeals to some. I feel the amber in the drydown is quite heavy and in-my-face. Reminds me of a bath and body work man’s body wash. Pretty mega performance though to the point that i can’t escape it 4 hrs later. Flies are REALLY attracted to this btw. They keep landing on the section of the arm i sprayed. Napasonoma below i think submitted his review for the wrong frag. He meant Mercedes Benz Intense (that’s the Fahrenheit clone, not this one). This in no way resembles Benz Intense.

Very lavendery with slight earthy dirty smell, low projection with 4 hour longevity on skin. Disappointed. Scent 6/10 Sillage 5/10 Longevity 7/10 Value 5/10

This is not a blue scent! Dont fall for it. It is a bubble gum sweet scent that you can wear in fall and winter. Absolute not in summer. Its exactly the same as halloween man. I mean exactly a clone of. Only halloween has better performance. I have both. So if you like the original rabanne 1 million and halloween man, this is like that. For me it was a bad blind buy😖

Smelled ok on paper in the store, smelled awful on my skin. My wife said it smelled like a cheap and shouty, something that a taxi cab driver would wear. I didn't like it either, most likely from the sickening mix of patchouli and lavender? Who knows. Projection was pretty good and so was longevity. I moved it on after two wears, just wasn't for me.

A woody , like many others, very sparkling in the head notes, than fresh lavender, apple but very rapidly ( or maybe it's the green sparkling notes in the beginning), than the woody notes in the basenotes, we smell in many others. It's not "fresh" ( except he headnotes- very interesting, i'd like a perfume with these notes that would last ), the "mandarine orange" notes have something in common with somme versions of "l'Homme" by Saint Laurent. Many it's the closest i can refer it to. The basenotes are warmer which gives an autumnal feeling.

NO NAUTICA AT ALL !!! What are people saying? I am surpised, it is an elegant smell refined and very well blended with the notes, is not sweet but is warm, is not punchy lavender neither citric but lifted up the semi fresnhess putting that word in another context, neither a dry woodyness, i honestly not fan of mature typical fragrances, this one goes to a broader target of ages since 30 to older men, really good quality almost niche, but the price in Argentina has gone far than before thas was accesible for the pocket.

PDM Greenley & Dior Sauvage EDP had a child. Slighty above average projection with decent longevity. Listen its not a screamer, but not shy either. If your looking for something thats versatile for all season then this could be a great pick up. I’d get it now before it becomes a eBay intermit item at a price not worth it.

Jeez, Wyattwadlow needs to chill a bit. Anyway, it's weird how people are voting on if this is good or not, and on whether it smells like Greenley or not, when I highly doubt they've smelled it yet. I can't imagine anyone is paying the prices on the Mercedes website, it's too expensive on there.

It is indeed similar to L'Homme Libre, however it lacks YSL character. This one is more on a safe side, Libre was more earthy / marine :(

I smelled this on paper and I was pleasantly surprised! Now I will have to find a decant and put it to the performance test!

I ordered Mercedes Benz select nights And got ultimate instead , to my nose it smells like green Irish tweed
