Pure Woody by Harry Fremont

Blind bought it earlier this year online & it's a lovely scent, perfect for springtime. Cool & sharp with subtle spicyness from the aromatic elements. Didn't think much of it the first time i smelled it but it grew on me as i wore it more. Reminds me of Azzaro United & an old favorite Dior Dune pour homme. Longevity is approximately 6-8 hours. Great buy worth ever cent.

"Pure Woody" from Merc Benz is amazing I find it unique, with its pepper/spices and woody profile. Very good one by Harry Fremont. Not seeing any relation with YSL Lhomme, Fierce, Coach or Nautica DNA. Gorgeous bottle with the usual fold-out note containing the perfumer info, notes etc.. Seems to be the best from the Benz VIP line. Longevity is 4~5 hrs.

I really like this, very nicely presented, a very good fragrance, that lasts and projects. It's dominated by the apple and violet leaves, it is slightly synthetic, but it's very good. I don't get much in the way of Woody notes, so the name is a little odd, and a little amusing, the possible tags are endless, get Woody with Mercedes Benz.

Nice green apple accord. Beats Nightvision edt. Not as deep as Issey Miyake Bois Artic.

Good fragrance. Great presentation. Ridiculous name. "Pure Woody" is dominated by apple and violet leaf for a fruity, fresh, ozonic feel before drying down to an ambery base with MAYBE a soft woody note that isn't listed. Just look at the "reminds me of" section for this fragrance and consider how many of those are actually "woody?" Looking past this weird choice by Mercedes-Benz, this is a quality fragrance. Fremont is one of my favorite perfumers and he did a solid job with this one. It's somewhere between Nautica Voyage and Yves Saint Laurent L'Homme (I don't detect any A&F Fierce). Invigorating, shower-gel type of a smell that is adequately represented by the dark teal color of the juice. Pick it up if you want something contemporary and fresh.

Yesterday I received my bottle of Mercedes Benz Pure Woody and I am impressed of its nice smell and good performance. All day I spent in testing it and in the evening I realized that anything is missed in the notes mentioned in the database. This morning I woke up and decided to check the notes according to the producer and YES - I found the missed note - sandalwood. What other I can say. Top notes are cool and fresh because of the ginger and green apple. It can be noticed very pleasant transition to middle notes when the violet leaf is noticeable and finally the scent of sandalwood stays for more than 8 hours close to skin. In conclusion I can say that this is quality product that worth its money.

not unique. familiar fragrance. lots of freshness from the apple. followed by violets,tonka, ginger and amber. i dont get much of Fierce vibe from this, lil bit like mont blanc legend line mixed with givenchy gentleman only from that violet leaves.good beginners fragrance, mass pleasing. 7/10

This is my second in the vip collection and i must say its not bad at all, i might have to buy the others to if they have the same quality, i found this delightful as i love violet leafs and ginger very good scent.

Nothing unique but well presented, nice and fresh with good longevity & projection. Blind buy based on other reviews and at this price, can’t really go wrong. No regrets here - I like it.

Smells like a base for lot's of mainstream fragrances. Average :/

I originally thought this smelled identical to Nautica Voyage, but I may have been a little hasty in my judgment. However, it definitely shares some similarities to Voyage. It features a big, synthetic spicy green apple note, and that's mostly what I get out of it. The note itself isn't bad, but it has a certain abrasive, kind of rough synthetic quality that gets annoying after a while. And as far as the name "Pure Woody" is concerned, there's not a lot of wood, save for a sort of vague, chemical woody base. I don't want to bash this fragrance because it's really not that bad. It's probably something that smells better at a bit of a distance than up close. The bottle color is certainly reflective of the scent inside--a big spicy green apple. I'm giving this a a neutral 5.5--6/10.

This smells like classic spicy-woody scents eg Carolina Herrera for men, Burberry men and Lagerfeld Photo. Recall that those scents were legendary before reformulations. My advice, grab a couple before the watered down versions hit the shelves.

The hole VIP Collection sounds awesome , especially the pure woody Edition , can hardly wait till it comes to Egypt & the bottle design really great!!!!
