Amberique

Amberique is mainly an amber-heavy fragrance as expected. The rose is not offensive and doesn’t make this scent too feminine, it’s balanced out with a light booziness and the cacao pods. This fragrance is blended so well, you get an amazing olfactory experience. The drydown leaves a nice and sweet amber trail on your skin and a tiny bit of rose also remains. 8+ hours of longevity, strong sillage. Perfect for the autumn and winter, you can even wear it in the spring without any problem. It reminds me of 40 Knots so it’s probably also similar to Ambre Nuit. This is a better, less fresh version of 40 Knots to my nose, made for colder days. I don’t get any cumin at all despite what other reviews stated. It deserves way more than a rating of 3.96. Unisex, maybe a little on the feminine side, nothing serious, just because of the rose.

Normally I'm not into spicy/rose fragrances but this one I really like--soft, comforting, and well-balanced with good performance, and the juiciness of the grapefruit lightens it up a bit. Though it's not listed on this website, there's patchouli in this--normally I really struggle with this ingredient but it's nicely blended here. I feel like a little would go a long way, but then, I'm usually into fresher, lighter scents.

I absolutely hate the smell of cumin. Luckily, I get zero of that here. Maxaroma included a sample in my last order. I had zero expectations going in but really enjoyed it. I included the official notes from the website. It’s a beautiful spicy/slightly boozy rose/amber fragrance. It’s definitely worth sampling. First impression - very spicy and citrussy. smelled like a spice rack. On the dry down the rose comes through. It's very spicy, still. not as feminine as I expected. I get what people mean when they say it smells like cumin, comparing them side by side, I think it's just the citrus/grapefruit in the fragrance combining with the spice to create that impression, as cumin and coriander both have a fresh citrussy zing naturally. It's pretty linear. It kind of reminds me of the dry down of Spicebomb Edt but a tad bit more feminine - however it's not a truly feminine fragrance. After wearing it for a while, it's actually a lot like Spicebombs drydown. Cinnamon spice, Pink pepper, Grapefruit and all, but with a nice warm rose. Spicebombs Edt's opening can't really be compared to Amberique since it's a little fresher and less sweet, but the dry down of Spicebomb (about hours in) comes pretty close. I do kind of wish it was more rose, less spice, but I really love this so far. I'll be wear-testing it and maybe even getting a full bottle. My boyfriend has Spicebomb and I've always loved it and considered wearing it myself. I think this will scratch that itch. However when he smelled Amberique on me, he said it's almost too spicy. I think this would be a great layering perfume if you want to add a spicy twist to something. If anyone has any ROSE+PINK PEPPER (soft spicy) recommendations, DM me, I'd love to try them out! If I can't find anything better that's got a spicy rose, I'll probably be getting this one. Wear test: performance is okay for being an extrait de parfum - it doesn't project much however. I'll try to wear this with a rose scented body lotion to add more rose to the scent because I really really do like the wafts of spice I get when I move.

Soft yet somewhat tangy citruses with delicate musky in the base (I almost can smell aldehydes here). But for me it’s a bit imbalanced and slightly soapy. However, the dry-down is very pleasant.

Not bad. Pink pepper and amber. After a while it turns soapy. Not my favorite amber, but not bad. Average sillage and longevity.

When I first saw the note list in the fragrantica description box, I said that there's no way that that's either comprehensive or accurate. Thankfully, the notes listed by Nscott explained everything. Yes, all I get is cumin. My skin also overly projects scents with a boozy note, but I'm not even getting that. The first few hours was an aggressive cumin bomb, then the floral amber notes begin to develop as it dries down...with that same aggressive cumin note. This scent is basically what you smell at a spice market. Incredibly masculine and not for me.

This smelled great in the bottle, but once on my skin, the cumin, that is NOT listed here nor on their website, comes to the forefront and stays there. It smells stinky on me like I just ran five miles. And then there is an ingredient that turns very sour on me, so it's a fail for me. It smells great in the bottle, so maybe it's just my skin chemistry/ph balance. I do wish companies would always list certain ingredients like cumin for people whose skin always amps it up to a 10. It would save us time and money.

Just no. Yuck. Very heavy on cumin and grapefruit. Could use more rose quite frankly. This is a weird fruity spicy mess. Very odd. Just wrong on everything here. It isn't even a candle scent because it is so bizarre. If you like juicy fruits of all kinds (I smell tropical fruits here also) w/ spices. It kind of smells like a marinade for chicken. Like for a Jamaican jerk Chicken. I'm a vegetarian and do not like spicy food so this is a no go for me. LOL.

I received a travel size -I thought the notes would scream my name- well, there was some screaming alright- it was me saying get it off! My nose doesn't understand the fragrance- i can pull apart the notes and each smell wonderful but together my nose does not like the composition. Now I feel this brand can do no wrong, so you may love it, many may love it- I do not.

I first sniffed this without looking at the notes on Fragrantica. Along with pepper and some tropical, sweet fruit (grapefruit in this case), I sensed cinnamon and sage as well. This fragrance is definitely complex but it does not smell unique. The first one I associated this with was Stronger with You from Emporio Armani (it also has cinnamon and sage along with pink pepper and tropical notes - pineapple). Despite being a less masculine and more unisex fragrance, to me, it feels like Amberique shares around 70% similar vibes with Stronger with You. Personally, I'd rather get a bottle of Stronger with You since it performs even better and costs less than half the price.

Another familiar release from this house. I did almost immediately think of Dior Ambre Nuit upon first sniff, but with significantly more pink pepper and a notable cacao note in the heart that pushes this fragrance just over the line into gourmand territory. It's what I would have imagined Ambre Nuit might smell like as an Extrait before the Esprit collection. Amber forward, but the floral aspect is there as well. In ways I am also reminded of Twilly d'Hermès Eau Poivrée, due to the immediate and roaring greeting of pink pepper, heart of rose and enveloping patchouli.

I'm sorry to those that only smell cumin..I get a soft incense sandalwood scent... gorgeous 🥰

this perfume is completely feminine and not designed for a man at all.
