Néroli Cuivré

I tried this one at PITTI 2025 – the founder was lovely and I’m really looking forward to deep down into the rest of their collection. What I found really interesting is their creative process that is genuinely rooted and they offer a very different take on well known raw materials and/or accord - which is not that easy nowadays. This Neroli caught my attention as I am usually disappointed by its citrus/ detergent facets but here you have none of that. You can smell the generous Neroli that they chose to sourced in Morocco. The founder was explaining to me that it is one of the best quality and is envelopping. Love it and can't wait to receive my full bottle on the way and try their mint one from the same collection. That's a YES for me

Neroli done properly. First fragrance I tested from the recently (2024) founded brand Mezel and it is a very interesting start. This is nothing new or flamboyant but it's nonetheless very well done. Neroli sometimes is tricky to put togheter well and can be too sweet, or can bring with it some offnotes, not here, this is very high quality neroli, spiced up with cardamom, fresh and sweet, creamy at some point during the developing, kudos to Mathilde Bijaoui, she nailed another one. From here and there some citrus emerges without beeing too prominent, rounding up the scent profile that dries down into a floral musk. Performances and sillage are ok, and I appreciate this not being overwelmingly strong. Price is high even if we consider the "refillable" option. Waiting to test more of Mezel.
