By Invitation Peony Noir

I discovered this about a month ago and what a discovery! I haven't been too keen on either of Michael Buble's previous fragrances, but found this at a bargain price, and having a weakness for dark bottles, decided to treat myself. Well what a beautiful perfume it is! It is SO similar to Tom Ford Noir Pour Femme, perhaps with a little touch of Roberto Cavalli Nero Assoluto that just sweetens it a little bit (NOWHERE near as sweet as the Cavalli though, just a touch) It's stunning in my opinion. I get compliments on it all the time from men and women alike. I actually own both TF Noir Pour Femme and RC Nero Assoluto, and this is the most wearable of all of them in my humble opinion. It isn't anything like as sweet as Nero, but also isn't as heavy as Noir. I would (and have) worn this on a winters day which I wouldn't do with Noir, I prefer that one for winter nights - that said, I would (and have again!) also wear this on a winters night - it just isn't as strong as Noir. Longevity is moderate, as is sillage, but it lasts on clothes for ages and I love sniffing the previous days clothes and smelling it around the collar! You aren't going to get the super power of a Tom Ford perfume, but you are also going to get it for a LOT less money, so to me, it is well worth it. I would also say it is longer lasting and has more depth to it than the Roberto Cavalli too, so again, this is much better value for money. To me, this is an absolute gem of a perfume and I am over the moon that I bought it! If you like either of the comparable perfumes, especially TF Noir, then I really don't see how you can't like this! Give it a whirl!

It's getting close to the time of the year when peonies start to flower so I felt like wearing this perfume today and I noticed there's hardly any reviews. It certainly deserves more attention in my opinion. You probably wouldn't know it was a celeb perfume in a blind testing as it has better than average quality. I impulse bought this earlier in the year after testing it just once. I immediately loved it and especially appreciated how it was true to the dark purple peony smell. There is a complexity to it that's not obvious from the notes listed. The peonies are dark, musky and creamy. There is sweetness in the woody vanilla and rose which reminds me of Dsquared Want. In colder weather it's cosy and comforting but on warmer hot days it's headache inducing. I find it has decent longevity and sillage for a celebrity scent. Almost too strong for me personally. I'm not shy with bold perfumes, there is just something in this that can get a bit much for me when it's oversprayed. I've mixed a little of this with Dsquared Want when I was more in a mood for vanilla and they blended really well together.

Its Good Friday, we are all self isolating, I have a slipped disc so can't move anyway and its half way through Autumn on my island ( I do not like Autumn) This is my "lift my spirits" perfume, so I have sprayed it on quite heavily today and it's lovely smell is helping. Not great with notes but I know what I like and this is a big like, even love and it's so cheap, but smells expensive. I have a back up bottle or two - they were on sale at Christmas.

This is a beautiful scent; a muskier, sensual version of the original. I'm not mad on sandalwood but I really enjoy it in this scent. Orange blossom is always a favourite note of mine. Out of the original, rose gold and peony I'm not sure which is my favourite. They all have a similar DNA but are all individual. Beautiful scents that smell more expensive than they really are. Worth the money!

I might be alone on this one but it gives me La Petite Noir Black Perfecto vibes but I think I might like this one a little bit more. Its dark and rich and sweet and pretty at the same time. For whatever reason it took me three wears to actually like this and four to love it and decide I *always* want a bottle in my collection.

That rose is sweet and musky and has a dark secret hiding inside. Sweet but not innocent. I love it. For me it is a perfect tiny dosage of oud-like cedar. Nothing screechy, everything smooth. I gave all of the Buble's scents away, because of patchouli. Except this one.

This could very well be a Tom Ford fragrance for 300$. Deep, complex, sweet rose. Similar to TF Noir de Noir. If you love that, grab Peony Noir as fast as you can.

Cold wet day, tried this last week in warm weather. Its sweet floral, pretty. Warm and clear I suppose. Today it was bubble gum yet not lolly-ish. I dont get a tonne of the notes listed, more of a feel. Its creamy, sweet, floral, smooth. One if the better celebrity scents. It could have a touch of something synthetic but it didnt the other day. This and passione both last quite well. Put on skin about 10am, still very noticeable 4pm Very over priced, $99 online, and $65 for 100ml discount shop(same with the red bottle passione one). I'm not paying that for celebrating scents

Sweet, more jam-like, than a floral kind roses, sandalwood and cedar. I think at all scents work for all ages if you just like it! For example this scent I really can see as an evening scent for a younger woman, or a day scent for a more mature woman like my self. In the opening, me too, can find that resemblance to Noir de Noir, but drying here, I think, is more grape-like and more transparent than TF. I can't get any patchouli and I wish the cedar would have stayed on my skin better in dry as well. Overall a pleasant scent, better than I expected!

This is nice. Smells like a lot of other perfumes out there really. I think I like this one of all the Michael Buble scents. I’ve gone off the OG as it has a strong pissy note, and I think this one is the nicest. Pretty rose and vanilla but not that strong on me. Sweet as well. Doesn’t last a long time (on me), but I get that from perfumes that cost 5 x as much. Great price point.

This review is for the pink bottle, it's a new one in this line. Cherry bubble gummy, slight make up powder. Nothing much stands out in beginning but it becomes nicer

Review for Love Notes under invitation signature

Misleading name, there’s nothing dark here, it’s more of a hot pink. It starts nice and woody but in a few minutes it’s a sweet jam. I tried to cover it with Shalimar, the sweetness is coming out even through the thick layer of Shalimar, damn that’s a sweet bomb. Not bad for those who like sweet jam-y perfumes. Not for me though.

Oh Nooooo I don't know why I bought this Oriental I didn't have a chance to try it. It's a powerhouse skunk of a perfume. I have just spent 2 hours in the bath rubbing at my arm it is still so strong you could smell it into the next room. To be fair, I don't like orientals. I thought this might be a little milder and I was tempted by the rose. Just, NOOOO. At least I only bought the 30ml bottle. I also bought the By Invitation Rose Gold I will try that next week, when this one wears down.

Topnotes: Oxyphenylon (rasberry), ambroxan (ambergris), saffron, rose Mid: orange blossom (schiff bases), lily, rose, iso e super (amber), ambroxan, slight old fashioned aldehydes, slight lactonic mango note (similar to mango in Flowerbomb), Oxyphenylon, honey notes similar to phenyl acetic acid Base: Ambroxan, musks, Oxyphenylon, iso e super, synthetic woods (cedramber, vertofix, etc), powdery from aldehydes and iso eugenol replacers, synthetic vanillins. Overall: Quite a nice fragrance. I would pair it with Boss for deeper, less structured sex appeal.

On me, at first this is a yummy praline scent- almost gourmand. Unfortunately during the dry-down, patchouli comes forward and the scent takes on an Angel-drydown esque strong patchouli heavy quality that is too much for me. Makes me a bit queasy and it's quite masculine imo. Not for the fainthearted but if you love patchouli I think this is a safe blind buy.

This is beautiful. The vanilla mixed with the woods gives a soft beautiful oud vibe. I love this. Rich and almost chocolate cherry combo scent. It’s amazing and sexy and for the price you can’t beat it. Micheal buble fragrances are a gem:)

I cannot find this perfume ANYWHERE...not on his site nor any on ebay in the US. Was this not release in USA? Does anyone know? I am obsessed with finding it.

Smells like rose jam from lush. Although rose jam has an earthy note that reminds me of beetroot. This perfume doesnt have that.
