Mystique de Michael Jackson

I can confirm the bug spray line :DDD but after it goes away it becomes a very nice scent what I cant describe. I just dont get any of the ingredients. I can smell the honeyish tone what we can find in some of the vintage scents but its not loud. I can smell some white florals but they are not loud either. Very nice composation. Really smells like the beginning of the 90's. It's sweet .

Vintage masterpiece, If you gonna check which perfumes Michael did use,then you'll understand this beauty. I think it's truly 80's,90's fragrance. Reminds me a bit of "Poison" by Dior. I can see Michael using that perfume. It's very rare these days to get this scent! So if you have a chance, Get it! :)

I kinda like it, to be honest. It's vintage and it's exactly how you'd expect for it to smell given the year this fragrance was released which is 1989. It's a powdery yellow floral, and since it's EDT it's not that overpowering and sits quite close to the skin. It doesn't smell like bug spray as some of the other reviewers mentioned, to me actually it smells like an expensive soap. I can definitely see it to be part of the same family in similarities with Chanel #5 and Jean Paul Gaultier Classique (both of which I also own). All three fragrances are powdery and all three have that vintage smell about them. If I am to choose though, I'd personally go with Mistique de Michael Jackson , just because it's EDT and not EDP whih means it's not as potent to the point it gives you headache or starts "suffocating " you throughout the day.

This smells like nothing else that I own, and I own about 800 bottles. This is good and bad. It has oakmoss and citrus but yet is sweet. A bit pine sol and bug spray. Hard to define. I want to hate it but I kind of like it. Maybe because it is unique.

19. May 2020 I get really mixed feelings about it and like someone mentioned already its good and bad at the same time. This is actually quite unisex to me. Both of the reviews below are correct. It has a bug spray smell in the opening which makes it quite unpleasant. Then it has definetly carnation, something honeyd, aldehydes (soapy undertone), a lot of vetyver, maybe even animal musks. Its on the border of being an 80's child but with hints of 90's grunge. It's bit manly yet quite feminine, i just dont know how to describe it correctly. Somehow it reminds me of a Trussardi vintage female fragrance in white croco cover and vintage Tristano Onofri classic female fragrance at the same time. Drydown is more of classic chypre with a very strong vetyver note. I cannot rate it bad, but its also not perfectly balanced for me to like it. Quite unique for nowdays, but i guess was quite common back then. A must have for MJ fans as memorabilia, but as for personal use i dont see myself wearing it. Sillage heavy, lasting very good (next morning still smell it on skin). Bottle has a holographic photo of the king of Pop. I am really undecided.

So... Someone gifted me Mystique de Michael Jackson by Michael Jackson some years ago and unfortunately I Couldn’t STAND IT!!! Although I hate writing negative reviews.... This perfume smelled exactly like PEE!! It smelled like someone peed and left it in the sun for so MANY days!! It smelled terrible and I threw it away in the garbage right away!! I was a little girl and unfortunately I didn’t keep it because now I would love it have in my collection because of the bottle and because it is by Michael Jackson for my collection , but I didn’t even think about it then, because it smelled SOOOOOO BAD. THE WORST THING THAT I HAVE EVER SMELLED IN MY LIFE!! Don’t blind buy this whithout smelling it first!! Sorry for the negative review, but I always write my HONEST opinion. Also this perfumes smells exactly like another one that someone gifted to me and it’s called “B.U. Tease Fuschia Eau de Toilette” by B.U. which also smells exactly like PEE and I threw it right away too! I don't know . Maybe I got a bad one........But don’t be scared to try other B.U. fragrances, because I had B.U. “Rockmantic” and smelled very good, I have B.U. “Fantasy” which I loved and smelled exactly like “Fantasy” by Britney Spears” and I also have B.U. “Hidden Paradise” which smells EXACTLY like “Ari” by Ariana Grande” at a MUCH LOWER PRICE!! i have the vintages from this and the black one this ne is so opulent so deep so flowery full of jasmine and yellow flowers its a floriental in nature it reminds me of the original montana by montana and has facets from white diamonds by elithabeth arden and madonna's truth and dare i was unable to wear it when it first came out and just bought it as i am a collector !its those types of perfumes that are collectors items status i think one spray from this is equal to 1000 sprays from the watered down colored water they call perfume in this day and age ! it does have honeyed accords with that 80 ies powerhouses vibe like giorgio beverly hills and others yes there is a tiny bug spray facet like the one in alfred sung sung but it goes away in the dry down it has that soapy aldehyde yellow white flora aspect with so many yellow florals its opulent dense yet vibrant its not so well blended its vulgar in nature but some like it that way its a perfume that can be smelled miles away !
