Island Capri

just bought this and i have to say its my favorite of the islands. i love the basil and the bitter orange in the top notes. it gives it a nice kick right in the beginning. fiji and hawaii are great but capri tops them greatly. its the perfect sparkling summer scent and i just adore it. the bottle is as stunning as the fragrance. nice job michael.

Did this get revamped or something? Michael Kors website shows completely different notes: • Dewy, sparkling top notes of Chinese kiwi, honeysuckle, and parrot tulip. • Lush, vibrant heart notes of champaca flowers, gingerlilies, Bulgarian rose, and stephanotis. • Woody, smooth base notes of white bark accord, driftwood, and rice fields accord. I am so confused...

A hot lazy day on a sandy beach in the Mediterranean . More green than floral. Drydown is a little woody/herbal. No suntan oil or much tropical garden smell (ie. no coconut or white flowers). This is more a natural beach than a hotel beach kind of smell. Nice, but I think I would reach for other summery scents more often. Also, could be stronger and last longer.

I was expecting some sort of variation on the typical tropical Michael Kors offerings, but this one really surprised me. It's tropical, but in a green, woody, herbal, slightly aquatic sort of way and I would consider it unisex. It's fairly light and refreshing, but not anything overly unique.

@klrussell, you just listed the notes for the original ISLAND. As you can see, this is CAPRI ISLAND, a completely different set of notes. AKA, a "flanker". If I can figure out how to edit this, I will come back with an actual review. I am not prepared at this moment in time ;-)
