Exciting news! I contacted Fragrantica's hard-working database manager and they updated the notes here. So as of this date (March 2016), they are correct. The problem is that people often get this unique and obsolete fragrance ("Kors") confused with original Michael Kors ("Michael"), a musky tuberose scent - also amazing; very different. It sounds like some of the reviewers here actually had samples of Michael. To break it down: If what you smell are white florals and musk, with a leathery or incensy undertone, that's "Michael." If you smell red wine and sharp fruits with dark smoke and a rich, balsamic base, that's "Kors." If you're buying online, many sites are selling "Michael" and mistakenly labeling it as "Kors." Hope that clears up some of the confusion. The key phrase for "Kors" could be "Days of Wine and Roses." It feels like an evening looking drunkenly into long-lost romances. It is booze-soaked and bittersweet. To get more analytical: It smells like a vibrant port wine (with a shot of something stronger), classic dark red roses with exotic, narcotic notes of Jasmine and Ylang, clear and sensual musk, spicy, smoky incense (almost like pipe smoke), old woods and resins, a sharp tang of deep red fruits (pomegranate - to me, even a bit of rosehip), a deeply hidden, delicious base of ambrox, and hints of bitter herbs like artemisia/davana and chamomile. Just about the only note I don't get is citrus, but it could very well be blended in there. If that all sounds strange and fantastical, well, it is. This amazing fragrance has been my favorite for over a decade, and is my "secret weapon" scent. It really does smell very strongly of wine and spirits. Be warned: only wear this if you want to smell like a sexy drunk. Which I do. (You know, truth in advertising). This perfume is, as many have noted, out of production. For over ten years, actually. There is still some to be found, if you dig around a bit. And it is truly a one-of-a-kind scent. Unusual, challenging, definitely not for everybody. For those of you who, like me, are looking for a more current replacement - I don't think there is one. We are united in tragedy. But the search goes on. I recommend investigating more fragrances by Steve Demercado; he seems to do a lot with booze, fruit, and spice. You might like Queen (by Queen Latifah): a very boozy vanilla with incense and spice. Another cheap-but-great celeb fragrance with a similar vibe is Truth or Dare Naked (by Madonna): a warm, spicy, woody, floral. I also have high hopes for Vince Camuto for women (rum, vanilla, leather, musk, florals), but I haven't tested it yet. (Update: NOT Vince Camuto - read my scathing review). Oh how I miss this wonderful, unique scent. I first discovered it a few years ago when I purchased a random set of miniature scents from the US, and a 15ml EDP spray of Kors was included. It quickly became my favourite scent - I always received compliments when wearing it, and in particular I loved the boozy, powerhouse opening - I'd never smelled another scent like it, before or since. Kors suited my chemistry so well on the dry down too. I've tried unsuccessfully to source a bottle or 3 of this wonderful scent, as it was discontinued before I received my purse size bottle. So disappointed to find it's off the shelves for good - I live in hope one day Kors will re-release it as a special limited edition or similar, so I can stock up! Probably unlikely though, so if you are a fragantica member who wants to swap or decant Kors to a member who would really love having it again, I'd love to hear from you! UPDATE - On the day I posted this, someone living close to me in my city posted on Gumtree that they were selling the Body Gel & a (small) perfume vial of this for a tiny price. Couldn't believe my luck, I now have a precious couple of mls to enjoy, plus 2 tubes of the delicious Body Gel. Happy!

Tremendous luxurious, unique and precious. KORS Eau de Parfum is one of a kind. The first note I encountered is the boozy wine note, it is very enjoyable and was such a pleasant surprise, smells to me like red wine, cognac, pomegranate, red berries, roses, rosewood, balsam, incense, dirty ashtray (that's the incense, supposed to be cigar like, that sometimes can go wrong with the body chemistry) , very good longevity in my skin and I hope Kors does not disappear as I thing it is unique and brilliant though certainly not for everyone or every occasion, sometimes almost masculine fragrance, with huge arrangements of almost too-ripe roses and red fruits scattered about the room and a thread of cigar smoke drifting through the fireplace-warmed air. Kors makes me feel like I'm in a smokey bar (or makes me want to go to one), the shape of the bottle itself looks like modelled after that of a cigarette or a cigar too.

I have found this review: "Kors Perfume by Michael Kors,is a delicious red scent of sheer port wine and cognac, layered with sensuous rose petals and exotic spices. Notes: Sicilian bergamot, clementine, pomegranate, davana oil, sheer cognac, dewdrop notes, red berry rose, crimson rose petals, sheer spring jasmine, sheer port accord, ylang ylang, natural chamomile, rosewood, red incense, tolu balsam, white amber, bio-musk." Obviously, ingredients on this fragrantica page are somehow mixed... Personally it reminds me on soft blue plum brandies made in my country. Since plum brandy (Šljivovica) is cure for anything, this perfume for me have aromatherapy healing powers.

I love the image this perfume evokes - like a woman who enjoys a drink and off she goes having a good time maybe alone maybe with so many people. The only weird thing is - it develops too sweet on me. I tried it on clothes and it is better there than on my skin. It is the cousin of Poison Girl EDT if you liked that you may love this one! This evokes a fun night out.

People are tripping! This is my top 3 scent of all time for women. The bottle design and how you open it is really cool as well! This can be worn year round as a signature scent. Women ive dated used this back in the day and it has a really pleasant scent trail. Went out and bought a bottle recently. Good stuff!

On me this fragrance is complex and intoxicating if I do say so myself! I can definitely get a hint of the port wine in this fragrance which also entices me as I do love wine but I also smell the tuberose which I love and the leather. It's a great steadfast love affair!

Thanks EvesFolly for contacting the site and having the correct notes updated on here. Gives me a chance to hunt for other perfumes that contain some of the more unusual notes I thoroughly enjoyed in Kors. Thanks too for the suggestions for alternative scents too

It was a blind buy,but im not sorry at all.Kors is very strange perfume,sexy boozy and perfect for winter nights out

Kors is the very first Michael Kors fragrance that I purchased. The composition of it is quite unique. Cognac, red berries, rose, pomegranate, red wine, clementine, ambroxan, incense, chamomile, jasmine and musk...this fragrance literally has everything you can think of in it. I mean, it really has a lot going on and that’s not necessarily a good thing. It’s a very busy fragrance. Different aromas evoke certain feelings but this one has me puzzled. Does it smell intriguing? Yes. Does it smell good? Yes, and yet there’s something about it that’s just not clicking for me. It feels like all the notes are fighting each other for dominance. Typically I can smell a fragrance and pin point what notes I like. With this one it feels like I’m smelling too many things at once and I can’t honestly say what I like or dislike about it. Perhaps that’s why I never wear it. Kors is a very acquired scent. You’re either gonna like it or not like it. I commend the nose behind this fragrance because it is indeed a unique and original scent. You’re not going to smell anything like it. Longevity and sillage is 10/10 and better suited for the spring and summer.

So I sampled this and thought I that was going crazy, as my experience seems to be very different to many others below. I'm not getting a bunch of unlisted notes (booze, fruits, smoke, roses and red wine, which does sound delicious, by the way). Instead, I agree with Fragrantica's listed notes and with reviewer Sissi, as I had a very similar experience to her. Perhaps this scent has been reformulated, (I'm not sure) but I will tell you what I got out of it :) Kors really needs the warmth of the skin to come alive, as this smelt astringent and like alcohol in the vial. On me, the opening is a gorgeous tuberose-gardenia with warm amber undertones; and this was definitely my favourite part. Until a clean, almost astringent and slightly sharper white floral emerges, with hints of pepper (I thought that this was perhaps freesia; but on second thought, Sissi is right, it's definitely lily). During the dry-down there's a sweetness of mostly musk and amber. I don't get any leather at all. Only lasts for about 3 hours; soft sillage.

This is an unusual scent and I've never smelled anything like it since. My mum gave it to me years ago (presumably because she didn't like it) and it was such an odd scent that I decided I'd use it up for work. I was working as a waitress in banquets and I'd work long shifts so wasnt keen on wearing anything special. Long story short, just looking at the bottle on here brings back memories and I wish it was still around. It's quite a unisex scent, leathery with a fruity sweetness. The wine is prominent and it is long lasting but not overpowering. Worth buying if you find it because it's unique.

I love this perfume. I bought it in 2003 at a local Perfume Store in Tijuana, right on the corner of Revolution avenue and 3rd st. I came asking for a different perfume and the sales person recommended Kors, I immediately felt in love with it and with no doubt I bought it. I have not found it on any store now days but I saw a couple of sellers in Amazon however I'm a little skeptical about it. I have smelled the others Michael Kors fragrances and nothing smells the same. Hope Kors comes back at least as a Limited Edition so I can stock up.

The top is very boozy reminding me of flavored brandy, vodka or a fruity red wine. I don't pick up much of the flowers but I do get alot of sandalwood and musk. Something stops it from being too sickly sweet, possibly the leather. This is good as otherwise I wouldn't be able to stand it, being too much like Rush which makes me physically ill. It isn't masculine at all on me,and I actually find it a unique wearable winter scent. Update: Agreed!! The notes listed for this frgrance have been changed and are no longer accurate.

Michael Kors, kors opens with sandalwood and white flowers first tuberose with it's acidity sweet accord and with gardenia Lily starts the middle notes with spicy sweet crispy note dries to an air of fresh fressia amber provides the drying down that is warm with musk that makes it a bit animalistic there is an leather undertone which lurks under the delicate white florals freesia sandalwood and other notes in this. turns this into an mysterious with a bit of a clinical reputare.

I agree with Amanda79--you do not want to be wearing this if you get pulled over by a cop. The top notes are very boozy, and the vodka is clearly identifiable, although I have no idea which fragrance notes contribute to this. It smells like a fruity, alcoholic drink I used to have in college. I am on the fence with this one b/c I do love its almost intoxicating, qualities, but at the same time I don't want people to pass by me and wonder how many drinks I've put away.

I like it,but i dont love it. The fragrance itself is subtle sexy, indeed a chypre part and fruty part exist. 7.2.2016 edit: I like it more now when i tried couple of times more, its a mix of all those ingredients which can be overwhelming one to another ,and in this scent its not. Well balanced between white flowers and musk and leather note. Really nice, i am crying inside me that its nearly impossible to buy bottle. I have currently 1 and a half decant of it.

The realistic, bitter, syrupy and dry red wine note in this makes it very unusual. The leather is casual not dry (like Bandit) but not like a luxury car smell either. Smooth. Everything comes together for a very smooth waxy effect. Editing: Is there not leather in this? Looking at the notes, I don't see it. Where am I getting the leather smell? Must be the wood. Also, I love the bottle. It swivels on top.

Imagine a girl in black leather jacket smoking in a bar. Sweet Musculinic and Unique perfume. the leather and vodca is very prominent, sometimes i can smell cigar too. which is funny because there is no cigar in the notes. anyways i found this perfume very sexy and feminine. I love it!

I was lucky enough to get my hands on a few mls of this unique fragrance. The first thing I get is the boozy smell and it's pure booze not your typical alcohol smell from a fresh spray. Red wine, no mistaking that scent. As this progresses I get some floral rose but it's faint. Leather, booze soaked wood and dirty ashtrays are the prominent notes I'm getting. As I'm going about my daily routine, I keep getting whiffs of Kors. Mostly the dirty ashtray mixed with booze scent which has physically turned my stomach a few times. None of the good stuff seems to want to come out and play with me. Just these old notes that remind me of a dive bar I spent a lot of time playing Pac-Man in the corner in while my dad drank with his buddies after work. Before I go scrub it off I just have to say that I think this is an amazing perfume even if it's not for me. It's so unique and the notes are so real, I've never smelled anything like it before. Well done Kors, it's a shame it's discontinued.
