Michael Kors Pour Homme

Not that everyone gives bad ratings, but they aren’t good either, and that surprises me. People don’t really have bad things to say but they still rate it 6.5-7/10 which confuses me because I feel like you have to really focus to appreciate this scent, in my opinion it is very unique and smells absolutely amazing. Some scents are not designed to project like crazy and I feel like this one sits more on the intimate side without being completely unnoticeable. Absolutely great summer fragrance, perfect for close encounters, this is one of those fragrances that you’d get a small hint of while hanging around your friends and wonder what it is. This doesn’t deserve the low reviews it gets. The absolu version I’ve heard is bull crap and worse than this so if your looking at this and the absolu just get this one. It’s fire

Michael Kors Pour Homme is a fragrance created by the nose Jordi Fernández in 2024. A fragrance that evokes marine atmospheres, a true hymn to aquatic and floating notes immersed in joyful citrus, woody and spicy notes. An invigorating, energizing fragrance that carries within it the strength and character of the ocean. The invigorating and marked marine notes, clary sage and the floral note of geranium meet the velvety traces of sensual patchouli, vetiver and precious ambergris to create a fresh, aromatic and unexpected fragrance. Clean, fresh, frankly decisive and masculine even if it is also very appreciable on tenacious women.

Im quite surprise for this release from MK, because Ive never heard of them in fragrance industry the beautiful bottle attracted me at first so I gave it a try not so impressed with the top not, blast of citrus but it is not super fresh as other's zingy/zesty or even icy vibe the drydown is to die for little sweetness was blended beautifully into the blue vibe, super smooth marine scent, fancy though this is by far the best blue scent Ive ever smelt in my entire life, it beats my all-time favorite blue scent of Jimmy Choo Aqua give this a try... much much better and cheaper vs. Acqua di Giò

A well-done creation. Not particularly unique, but it has a clean and classy scent. I have a weakness for ambergris, and with this fragrance it feels as if I’ve just bathed in a stream flowing through a breathtaking forest. I used to wear Le Sel d’Issey, but my bottle is finished, so I went for Michael Kors Pour Homme instead and I’m very satisfied.

All about the dry down. Very easy going, wear anywhere fragrance, fresh, clean, a touch sexy. Maybe a touch overpriced for what it is, but its a very nice scent. One of my regular wears for at work.

Does it smell good? Yeah it smells good but so do a lot of shower gels.

Perfectly serviceable blue freshy. There's nothing outrageous about it, but it serves a very specific purpose for me: the office. Very clean, fairly simple, and it's totally something that you've smelled before dozens of times, especially in the opening. The dry-down is very pleasant, lasts forever, and is not as green as the note break-down would have you believe. Projection is fairly quiet, but it lasts as a solid skin scent for about 8 hours on me. This makes it absolutely perfect for the office - you can easily move on to a different scent without any clashing after work if you have something else to do if you change your shirt (it will linger on clothes for a few extra hours.) Since you can get a full 100ml for $50 at Jomashop right now, this quiet blue with solid longevity is actually an outstanding value. Perfect? No. Perfect low-cost no-brainer for the office? 100%. 8/10

I got a sample recently and decided to give it a full wear today. Honestly, it’s a pleasant smell. It’s nothing groundbreaking, but definitely enjoyable. The scent gives off that fresh, clean, citrusy aromatic vibe that’s easy to wear anywhere. To my nose, it feels like a mix between Coach for Men and Invictus. It’s smooth, slightly sporty, and mass appealing. Performance is decent, and it works great as a grab-and-go scent for work, school, the gym, or everyday errands. It’s not deep or complex enough for a night out, but for casual daytime wear, it really works well. Personally, I wouldn’t pay full retail for it, but if you can grab it below retail, it’s worth having in your rotation. Overall, I’d rate it a 7/10 — clean, versatile, and reliable.

I really liked the style of the bottle, heavy, chunky and somewhat different, the fragrance itself was nice, but just a little run of the mill, there's no unique accord or anything really to make it stand out. After the pleasant, slightly sweet opening, it dries down to an inoffensive woody aquatic. I will say performance was excellent, it lasted on my skin for almost 11 hours, and it radiated fairly well. It's decent, I just long for something a little different, I don't think many people would pick this one out from a selection of five, it's just a little samey.

It is an extremely safe fragrance and very easy to wear. Fresh, clean, simple and a bit basic, but a real lifesaver for everyday use. It smells very clean, dynamic, aquatic and blue. It honestly feels like you just showered with a nice fresh shower gel. Of course for people who prefer complex, bold and long lasting niche perfumes it might feel a bit ordinary and it does not really have strong signature scent potential. But for daily wear, school or the office it works really well and smells very pleasant.

Probably one of my favorite fragrances. Very easy to wear and is not quite sweet compared to Invictus. It has the same aromatic and watery scent with a twist of masculinity. Moreover, the dry down is definitely to die for. Just when you thought it could not get better, it does. Other than that, it's definitely a daily fragrance that you can wear at school, office or just anywhere. Definitely not close to Invictus or YSL EDP. I wouldn't say it's unique but it's definitely a good fragrance.

Nose note #9: Feel that soapiness from ysl y edp, but more marine accentuated. Could describe it as aromatic and citric, that slowly becomes into a fresh soap, finishing into a herb - marine scent. I would get ysl y edp or hawas ice before this, kinda overpriced aswell. Would wear to the office or similar situations. Almost 0 proyection and last up to 5 hours, not really that much. The fragance is ok, but I would not buy it again. Price: 73€, 100mL Rate: 7.5/10

This seems very generic and bad but after testing this one a couple of times and with test strips, i can say that i like it. It has a nice vetiver-ambergris scent with a citrus opening. Yes, it is similiar to Invictus but not a copy cat. ACtually it's more similar to Montblanc Legend Spirit, but still, with it's own twist. Nice versatile scent.

Nothing really mind blowing here. Kind of a safe rack store style of scent that falls in the 7-7.5/10 range. Clean, airy out of the shower style of vibe with some slight powdery cleanliness. I think where this shines is its longevity seems to be pretty solid. Just one of them safe grab n go style of scents.

May be i smelled a few colognes before smelling this, initially didn't like it like it then the dry down reminded me of Lacoste L.12.12 Blanc. Not worth the price tag of 123$ at MK outlet. I do have Lacoste L.12.12 Blanc which love it. It is sweet and powderish. Smell 8/10 Long Lasting 10/10.

I have a sample for this fragrance and I have to say that it smells really close to Hugo boss bottled marine which is a limited edition fragrance that you can’t buy in stores anymore, so if you want something similar go for this. Personally I really enjoy the smell of both

The bottle is fantastic and heavy in the hand. The fragrance is pleasant. That’s just it’s nothing groundbreaking. It’s a somewhat simple, woody, slightly aquatic scent. Long lasting, very office-friendly. I am sure flankers will be in the future.

Bright, lavendery, citrusy, aquatic. You really like it in your first try and think it's really nice and this might be it, until the realization hits you that it smells like your average laundry detergent. Good but not too authentic.

smells like a green and blue jolly rancher mixed together put into the ocean sprinkled extra salt on it put it to dry in a hot greenhouse with a bunch of flowers took it out and then let it sit and smelled it

Sprayed some of this bad boy on before rocking up to Ramsgate Wetherspoons. Marine/Sea notes complimented my drunken seaside debaucheries. Dry down smells generic but not bad at all. Solid summer scent.

I bought this one because my girlfriend likes it, it’s inoffensive, pretty generic but long lasting. It fits for young adults in school or work settings. I’d rate it 6.5/10

tbh it’s not a bad scent. but not worth 119. the most i’d pay is 30-40. not sure if it’s just me but it reminds me of invictus legend a bit.

Sweet, clean and fresh mass pleaser, it gets slightly more marine as it dries down. Good performance.

Smells like hair gel, or a barber shop even, but not necessarily in a bad way. Overall, I like it.

Can't go wrong with this. It's a nice refreshing smell.

Fresh, clean and musky. Opens with citrus aromatic notes, it's fresh and clean smelling. Has a grassy edge and a shower-fresh style of aquatic tinge, smells modern. Notes of grapefruit and vetiver help it remain aromatic. Then something floral arrives, possibly geranium or rose. The notes are spiky and green. Turns woody and musky. The vetiver sparkles but it starts to lose it's aqautic feel. After a couple of hours the scent becomes a lot lighter and there's a fruity note, something resembling elderberry? As it warms off the skin it has a sweet honeyed blossom alongside soft woods and musk. Gets a little mossy and has slight notes of conifer woods, a tea-note comes off the skin. Finally becomes a balsamic amber-woody skin scent. It's a modern, youthful scent 18-40 (ish.) Best for summer but fine all year, more a day scent, also office safe. More masculine but not overly so. Performance is fine, projects ok for a bit and lasts as a skin scent for 8-10hrs. I understand the Invictus comparisons, and would like to add "Boss The Scent" O.G as well. Fairly forgettable, but the sweet fruity notes that appear after a couple of hours do keep it apart from most of the designer scents it follows. Cool bottle.

Trying to be all the others out there like YSL Y EDP. Same sweet, fresh type sage. The sage is more realistic in the YSL, but that makes the YSL smell like cooking spice sometimes to me, so if you get the same from the YSL maybe this would be better for you. Michael Kors PH is nowhere near the performer Y EDP is though. MK does also remind me a little of Cool Water Grapefruit and Sage in the opening. Sorry for the choppy sentences. I'm doing this review as I'm experiencing my first full wearing. Anyways, the opening is pleasant, fresh, a little sweet, but done to death already. The drydown does have a bit of soapiness that makes it a little interesting though. Would be a good buy or gift for the right price at discounters for someone that doesn't have a ton of fragrances, but if you know fragrances you've smelled many things similar to Michael Kors PH. Typical modern sweet blue fragrance but does have a better dry down than some of the others Scent: Opening: 7/10, loses a point for originality. Drydown: 8.5/10, best part. Michael Kors Pour Homme is an aromatic, spicy, and slightly ambery fragrance. The opening is fruity and spicy, with a slightly aquatic undertone. At this stage, it reminds me a bit of Coach for Men. Over time, a base of patchouli and amber stays. The scent itself isn't complex, but rather easy to like. It can be worn in a variety of situations, but mainly for casual use—at school, at work, outings with friends, etc.—because the scent is inoffensive. As for longevity, it lasted on me for almost 7 hours, but with a low sillage, almost at skin level. As I mentioned, it's an easy-to-wear scent that might appeal to someone who isn't looking for complex or unique scents. I personally don't find it exciting, not because I dislike it, but because I already have fragrances in that style that I like more.

I wanted to like this and thought maybe it'd be a take on the Invictus DNA that I'd like but it's just not for me. It's quite similar to Hawas or Hawas Ice with prominent aquatic/sea water notes, neither of which I care for. If I had to choose between those or MK Pour Homme for scent alone, hawas ice is the one I tolerate most. I won't give it a negative review, just neutral because scent is subjective so if you like the Invictus DNA then you may really like this one. So if that's the case, I recommend this for someone who likes that scent profile and also wants to avoid the beast mode projection of the Hawas line (which is actually how I prefer projection; softer and a personal bubble)

I got this as a birthday gift. Really nothing sprecial about it, not saying it's smells bad, it got a few complients, but overall for me, it's just mid at best. Longevity and sillage is average, and the price.... So, if you want an all round scent that you can wear for every season, and have the money for it buy it, it's a safe blind buy, but it's really just a mid smelling fragrance, with mid performance, you can do better with the money that you have to pay for this.

This smells exactly like Rabanne's Invictus. I did a side by side comparison and they are literally the same. Any idea you have about Invictus implies for this as well. Other than the fact that this is a complete rip-off, it smells ok. If you consider buying this, do not buy it. Go buy Invictus. 5/10

When you smell it for the first time, it smells really good. Even drydown is actually so good but the projection... Literally max 1 hour, after that you need to put your nose to smell. (macerated aswell nothing changed)

This honestly smells like a mix of YSL Y EDP and JPG Le Beau. It's like they combined the sweetness of Y with the freshness of Le Beau. The pour femme version smells better, and it's definitely not worth the price

One day, probably not far off, I'll think to myself 'Did I ever try that one?' Yes, I did and if not for this review I would not remember anything about it. This fragrance is not offensive or objectionable, aside from being inherently generic and having rather poor performance (edp, ha!). I don't imagine anyone could find it either irresistible or repulsive. For me, it just doesn't evoke anything interesting or exciting or attractive or memorable - so why choose it? Rubbing oneself down with dryer sheets would give a similar effect.

this one confirmed bergamot makes me sick. even though this one is quite pleasant the smell of bergamot turns my stomach there

It's not even close to Invictus or YSL Y. It's very feminine. It is bubblegummy, but it smells like a cheap female mist.

Too peppery and citrusy for anything else to stand out. Pretty generic, but hey at least the bottle is cool.

Unbelievable how Michael Kors started off with two amazing and very interesting fragrances for men and women back in the early 2000s, yet wound up with this sort of riff-raff! When I first heard about and saw the bottle for Michael Kors for Men Pour Homme, I was actually hopeful. However, given the blue color of the fragrance itself, deep in the back of my mind I had a feeling they were just getting in on the Sauvage/Invictus/Bleu/Y bandwagon. Yet another amalgamation of all of those scents, if not one of them already. If you've tested/sampled any of those, but you haven't Michael Kors Pour Homme, you ACTUALLY have -- in some way, shape, or form. This, along with sooooo many others as of late, can fall in rank under the word "banal" in the dictionary. The bottle is quite nice, verging towards slightly tacky, but not nearly as much as the name AND bottle for Herrera's "Bad Boy." As we all know by now, if you're a "Bad Boy," you strike like a lightning bolt. But if you're a "Good Girl," you put your pumps/slutty high heels on. (rolling my eyes) Michael, I realize this is licensed crap and for all we know, you may not even have smelled this as you're just concerned with the financial aspect of things. Understood... to a point. Remember what happened to Halston when he licensed his name out and catered to the masses. It turned into a colossal joke... like so many new fragrances as of late. I've watched and listened to you over the years in fashion interviews, etc. You seemed like one of the few designers who had some authenticity and truly cared. If Michael Kors Pour Homme is a reflection of that, maybe it's time you just hang it up. The industry continues to welcome members of sub-par creations with open arms into their club and Michael Kors just became a high-ranking member.

İnvictus EDT is perhaps the scent that I hate the most (on myself, at least) and this is not any better. Stronger and price is much higher than invictus edt. If you want an actually GOOD fragrance with this DNA, check out invictus parfum or any invictus clone. Perhaps the worst scent of the year.

Awful aquatic smell from eighty's

Its getting ridiculous how whenever i test a random designer men’s fragrance that i know nothing about, it somehow ends up being an Invictus/YSL Y wanna-be. Happened with Valentino’s Born in Roma, Burberry Hero and now with Michael Kors pour Homme. Don’t get me wrong, i respect the DNA and appreciate it but i cannot respect such obvious lack of originality. Having the chance to test out the actual, original Invictus very recently, i called it a modern classic and a trendsetter. Well...seems like it was too much of a trendsetter and everyone wanted in on the pie because this DNA still has its claws deeply sinked in the men’s fragrance industry. There’s not much i can tell about Michael Kors pour Homme other then if you know Invictus or YSL Y EDP then you know what this smells like. Fruity sweet, fresh with a sour green aromatic presence from the sage and also marine accords. Not natural smelling and also generic at this point but masculine, energising, youthful, versatile and extremly likeable. From pictures, the bottle is interesting and unique but also one of the tackyest i’ve seen in a while. With this review, I’ll take the opportunity and say my honest opinion on overspraying. To quote Michael Jordan: “Stop it! Get some help”. There’s a guy i got to work with a couple of times during nighttime inventory at the retail company i work for. You know the type, matching tracksuit, overly clean sneakers and hair always glissening of hairgel as if we are at a club and not doing physical labour. He absolutely douses himself in Invictus or something similar. You’d think he smells good and you’d be wrong because he smells loud, synthetic and sour. He comes across cheap and downright bothering. Way to ruin an otherwise pleasant scentprofile by overdoing it. Its not cool, its tasteless.

Michael Kors Pour Homme is an aromatic-aquatic, very old-school and crisp in its approach, bringing to mind Davidoff Cool Water, Azzaro Chrome and Versace Pour Homme. It has a barbershop freshness that is very appealing, yet lacking in depth and character. The newer Michael Kors releases are playing it fairly safe in regards to their compositions. Previous, now-discontinued masculine releases from this designer were woody, resinous and rich, whereas this fragrance is a departure from the scents I once knew and loved from this brand. Don't get me wrong, Michael Kors Pour Homme is very wearable and pleasant on the skin, but it lacks definition and originality. I am also tired of smelling lavender and sea water accords in every second masculine scent at the department store. Gone are the days when masculine fragrances would be released in a standard EDT concentration. Michael Kors Pour Homme is sold as an EDP, with impressive projection and longevity, making it a long-wearing warm weather scent that has the potential to withstand high temperatures and profuse sweating. When first testing Michael Kors Pour Homme at the department store, gym workouts were my first thought, and with a light-handed spray, this could indeed be a solid gym fragrance. It is unapologetically masculine, and screams clean and well-groomed. It has a touch of nostalgia and is certainly versatile, being a far longer lasting alternative to the old-school aquatic masculines mentioned above.

Was buying gifts for the Christmas holiday when I sprayed this because I'd never seen the bottle before. The smell opens as a sort of non-descript basic marine aromatic but at dry down is nearly indistinguishable to YSL Y EDP with but one minor difference--this stuff is nuclear. on a paper strip nearly four days later it is still *projecting* roughly a good foot out. The manufacturer is the same company that makes Versace Eros (which is of course legendary for its volume) so now I know anything they make is the real deal On this basis while some might say this is basic and not reinventing the wheel scent-wise this also could be considered an improved YSL Y for folks who like that scent profile but wish it were stronger and lasted longer Though this is not my style of fragrance as it's for a more youthful crowd I can appreciate the quality of the juice and only wish the scents I like wearing were as long lasting...sigh

Tried this yesterday at the MK store... at first its seems like a totally a generic mall scent.. go to any department store, randomly spray 3 different blues or aquatics.. Ummm let's say Invictus, Calvin Klein Defy, and YSL Y. This is what you get. However, it is more than the sum of those parts... its richer, deeper and longer lasting. A heavier dose of ambergris and oceanic goodness. Performance is actually excellent... Frag heads will be disappointed. Mainstream folks will love it. Is it unique or groundbreaking - no. Has it been done many times before - yes. But this may be the best of the bunch. However, if you have Invictus, Hawas, etc. There is no need for you to run out and get this. Wait for it to hit the rack stores and get it at a discount...

Damn I was kinda excited then I seen the notes. Oh no! It’s going to be very generic and appeal only to the masses so they can maximize profit!!! Eh I understand lol it’s business. At this point though with “most” designer brands mainstream fragrances you shouldn’t expect anything “exciting” if you’re really into the game and should mainly look at their luxury collections for scents that “could” give you that wow factor. Or just starting checking more into niche & indie brands.

!!!!! I’ll a Never understand,... why... anyone would be inclined to list sea water as an official note. Sea water literally smells like wet fish poop. I own plenty of “aquatic” frags none of which smell like actual sea water. Which is a good thing 👍 waiting for this one to be delivered & I am hoping it doesn’t actually smell like sea water. That would be quite gross. Will update when I spend some time w/ it ............THE END..... for now

This fragrance is the answer of Michael kors to the last mainstream releases. Aromatic , fresh, generic with a Detergent-ish vibe which isn’t a bad thing for many tastes. It’s a mix between RALPH CLUB and Y EDP with a juvenil twist which means will get some compliments. The bottle is remarkable and extravagant. Versatile ( gym) and the performance is really good on my skin. The price? maybe decent. NICHE LOVERS: STAY AWAY PLEASE

Everything you'd expect from a designer release, from the bottle to the fragrance. A very familiar scent and mainstream at best, giving a little Gucci Guilty Pour Homme, a little Dior Sauvage EDP and a little YSL Y EDP. In ways I am even reminded of CK Defy EDP with a crisp citrus opening and aquatic facets. Ultimately, this is a safe fragrance suitable for the office or day to day wear in any climate.

Not bad, good performance on skin but its too generic, too simple. Its the slightly metallic and spicy version of PR Invictus... Opening is too alcoholic and synthetic for me, but dry down is subtle and acceptable. Probably I will never buy this one but I can recommend it to the people who enjoys Invictus and other related fragrances. Edit: Skin performance is A+++. I'm talkin about nearly 16 hours.
