Rose Radiant Gold

This was a rare modern fragrance purchase for me. I wanted something nice to bring back to my mother from the USA. Of all the bottles I sniffed at in Saks, mostly Michael Kors, this one seemed softer than the rest, floral and musky. So I chose that one to apply, and went to look at some clothes. As I walked around the store I found myself sniffing my wrist more and more as the fragrance changed. I was loving it more and more as it wore down to the base. There is a hint of something sharp, citrusy or white floral, that is common in modern perfumes and that I find cloying and headache-inducing, but it's only a hint, I can live with it. So I bought it hoping that my mother can smell it (she can't smell much anymore, even ones she can't smell she still wears because she wants to feel like she smells good). When she tried it on she loved it! Not as much as she loves Alien EDT, but still a love. I find the white floral note similar between these two perfumes. She also loved the bottle, which is simple and beautiful, just like the fragrance it contains. If you've tried the other Michael Kors fragrances and found them a bit strong you might still enjoy this one.

I saw Michael Kors' Radiant Gold at Wal-Mart and gave it a smell and I loved it; it was so unusual, unique and overwhelming for a man's cologne. They were asking 50 dollars for a one ounce bottle. I looked up Ebay and found a 3.4 oz. bottle for around $50 and- I don't know how I could have missed this but - I then realized it was a ladies fragrance. But I liked it so much that I wasn't about to let that deter me. Now I can get a whiff anytime I want and I'm gonna wear it out soon. Funny thing I just noticed, I'm wearing Rocawear X right now and as I'm composing this review I keep thinking I smell the Kors. Lovely.

I noticed this perfume today and decided to give it a try. Well, I am in heaven. I couldn't dream of something sunnier in that gloomy day outside. When someone post a thread about creamy perfumes, this would be my number one suggestion. It's like tamed version of Terracotta and for some reason reminds me of sand, suntan lotion and necklaces of exotic flowers. I am sure this is not the full list of notes, I can smell coconut in it. Perfect choice for a summer vacation.

I'm surprised by all the negative reviews of this one! A little sharp on first spray, but it settles down into a lovely, sweet floral. I find it wearable day and night, definitely not a teen's fragrance. To me, it smells classy and sophisticated without being heavy. It may not be very unique, but it smells nice!

The notes listed are incomplete IMO! I definitely smell Rose and Gardenia in this & there are zero spice notes to my nose, but it is absolutely beautiful on my skin. Good silage & longevity too. Going on my want list.

I really like this. I’m a huge fan of gardenia & that’s prominent here with a touch of jasmine & magnolia. Initial spritz is a hint of citrus but it quickly fades to a spicy fresh floral. It’s fresh & spicy at the same time which makes it great to wear during the day or night but it does smell “fancy”. I would wear this during special occasions or formal events, or even if you want to dress up & go out shopping or lunch with friends. Because of the freshness, I think the best season to wear this is Spring or Summer. Siliage/projection is great within the first hour on me, but then it becomes a close to the skin scent, you can smell it on you nicely but it won’t fill up a room. The longevity is about 6hrs +. I spray in the morning and can still smell at night. If you love white florals & the original Michael Kors then I’d recommend this.

I was gifted this fragrance and I think it’s quite nice. I’m not usually a rose fan, as it often gives me a headache, but the rose in this settles down after the initial opening. It is very floral and has a punch of jasmine and gardenia, but it comes across a little soapy to me like a fancy shampoo, which is very in line with my usual taste. I’ve only worn it a couple times, but it lasted well on my skin and especially on my clothes. It is more feminine than what I usually go for, but that makes it perfect for those days when I want to feel more girly. For as inexpensive as you can find this fragrance, definitely pick it up if it sounds appealing. It smells more classy and expensive than the price would suggest. I plan to wear it to a formal event I’m attending next month.

A scent of the times, as rose gold is the luster of the age. Just your average vanilla rose with a lot of violet. I was a little annoyed at all the violet until it disappeared at the drydown. I'm left with standard vanilla musk; I quite like it for when I'm looking for a scent with which to blend in to background. I'll have to wear it a few more times to determine if I'm willing to deal with the violet. Otherwise I find this a good scent, along the lines of LVEB but agreeing with my nose more.

This is a pretty, simple floral perfume dominated by jasmine. It's not complex and there is no real evolution to the scent but its still layered. At first spray, I get a heady sweet jasmine, followed by more white florals, rose and some light spicy green notes. The jasmine weaves in and out of the other florals. It's not a sharp green jasmine but rather a soft, musky sweet one. Overall, it’s soft, kinda basic and pleasing— a good choice for classes, errands, etc.

a very jasminy rose, not really rosey, but its there, floral, lasted on me from morning till softly in the evening. it gave me a bit of a n=teeny headache in the middle notes but I still like it. I remember lovin git more in the winter months than summer. funny - I notice the jasmine more now than before, see I tried the mk glam jasmine and it went bitter, so now it seems im a bit more attuned to jasmine and not liking it, maybe only in the winter.

Take this with a grain of salt considering I’m new to reviewing, but to me — I can’t really smell anything other than jasmine and vanilla? I’ve had this bottle for a long time, but it smells like a cozy autumn evening. Kind of “spicy” in a way cinnamon tastes in latte. It’s very inoffensive and feels cozy in the same way Hypnotic Poison feels sprayed on a scarf in cold air. The florals can be a bit headache inducing, though.

This is a "like"...it's nice, but I am not excited about it, and I really want to be excited by my perfume! It's something like BBW velvet Tuberose, just a little fresher at the beginning. I get a little bit of Jasmine, but on my skin I get mostly Tuberose. It lasts about half a day for me, and halfway through that it goes a little powdery. It's not bad by any means, just a good safe barely-oriental floral.

This is my favorite of the Golds, and I think it's gorgeous. It's a retro spicy, champaca-rose. It has a narcotic warmth that makes this a very romantic fragrance. Something in this brings to mind vintage Ombre Rose, which is a great thing. This does not smell like laundry, or office air...it's sexy.

Nice floral spicy scent, well blended, full of harmony. I can recommend it to all oriental scents' fans.

Blind buy because I’m so smitten with White Luminous Gold and was hoping for similar magic. Thankfully my insane blind buying habit is strictly under $40 and this was maybe $28 on shmeEbay? Ok now I’m lolzing at the brand description of Rose Radiant Gold’s vague notes: spicy, floral, musk. I get screamo neon white floral boosted by aldehydes like they’re steroids. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing- I can see how this could be great on the endless hot & humid days we’re in for as climate change warps our existence. Like- all the beast mode sharp angles of the neon white floral bat signal are smooshed down by 100+ temps.

The scent notes pretty much sum this up: spices, random florals, and musk - as simple and nondescript as can be. Not offensive, just nothing special in any way. Sits very close to the skin and has no sillage to speak of. This scent is as basic as a plaid scarf and a Starbucks vanilla latte.

Very pleasant but on my skin it had no lasting power.

As I previously reviewed I generally distain Michael Kors scents as all previous experiences with them have been disasterous. This is the third in the gold series and since I was given free samples of all 3 I decided to write a review. In the past I have tended to avoided white florals, particularly gardenia since it gives me a terrible headache. In this case I can smell no spices of any kind, only pure, white gardenia tempered by clean white musk. Surprisingly no headache! It begins purely watery floral, progrsses to green, sweet gardenias. After an hour or so the clean musk appears slowly and intensifies ever so subtly as time progresses, resulting in a lighly floral skin scent. I do actually enjoy this for what it is but it's hardly worth purchasing a bottle. And this is probably the last MK scent I'lll ever sample due to such harrowing past experiences with his poorly composed, over priced fragrances.

It starts as a fresh and watery floral, quite pleasant but weak. As time passes the fresh part goes away and it turns into an utterly unremarkable but perfectly nice warm spicy floral with poor longevity. The bottle is pretty enough but if I wanted a cute bottle with a watered down pleasant smell I can spend a lot less money for it. Isn't this meant to be limited release? If it isn't meant to be it will be anyway, I imagine.

Nearly bought it on the spot at first spray, but then something told me to wait a bit and let it settle and when it did... Bleh. This turned musty, stale, 'old' and completely unappealing in less than fifteen minutes. Disappointing to say the least. Now, MK Sexy Sunset on the other hand boggles my mind, but that's another story, LOL!
