Super Gorgeous!

Super gorgeous truly is gorgeous. Warm ambery goodness with powdery sweet orange blossom, sandalwood, soft resins, and a touch of tobacco. I smell a familiar jasmine too, it’s fuzzy and creamy, like the jasmine note in D&G’s ‘The Only One Intense’, or Alien Goddess Intense, or Alien Essence Absolu, but subtler...come to think of it, if Alien Essence Absolu is your evening/special-occasion scent, this could be your daytime/casual-evening scent, both are ambery-warm and resinous with a similar fuzzy jasmine. It’s smooth, sensual, cozy and sophisticated. Kind of retro, but with a modern twist to it. It makes me want to dress in shades of beige and tan, and wear cozy fabrics like angora or cashmere...and take a romantic stroll in the park with my love in autumn. It doesn’t smell like ‘Love, Chloe’, but they share a somewhat similar ‘nostalgic’ vibe...and that powdery orange flower note that is in the opening of ‘Love, Chloe’, also features in the heart of this scent, but it’s sweeter, warmer and darker here, less refined, more easygoing and sensuous. I was leery of the tobacco note, but it’s very mild here, more dry than smoky, not masculine at all. Moderate sillage and excellent longevity, best for fall, winter or early spring, very versatile and can go from day to night. It does smell more mature, 30+. Solid like for me...it reminds me of many fragrances I enjoy, but it doesn’t smell like any of them. I can’t wait to wear it in fall...it will layer beautifully with Victoria Secret’s Amber Romance products, and I will be in a soft cloud of amber all day. As to whether I will repurchase, time will tell, but probably not because I own enough sweet ambery, fuzzy scents that I prefer.

It's the 20th of July and I was ambushed by a sales lady in North Tenerife Airport who grabbed my left wrist and spritzed this on my wrist TWICE! I thought it was going to be headache inducing and my first impression was that Super Gorgeous was for another season and maybe it is. I quickly distributed the two spritzes to my other wrist and both sides of my neck. Super Gorgeous is a rounded warm sweet (mature) fragrance on me. I didn't expect to like anything with tobacco in it on me. After 4 hours SG only projected half an arm's length from me and after 6 hours SG stayed close to me. I can still smell SG on my wrists 10 hours later at a hand's length from my face - I have small short hands. I have never been a MK fan, I will not be buying MK handbags, watches or whatever, I don't seek out MK fragrances to try, but I will definitely buy this fragrance at some opportunity. No, it's not for everyone. Try before you buy and Super Gorgeous is not a safe blind buy. I can only find the fragrance online through two sites in DK (Matas and Salling) and I'm not impressed with it only being available in 30ml.

As I am wearing it today, it seems to be a bit weaker than before. I still really like it though. The mandarin and bergamot makes quite a fleeting appearence in the begining. It's fine, because the bergamot is quite bitter, but the mandarin - maybe I'd appreciate more of it. It goes well with the overall light sweetness of the perfume. I thought I could describe the rest better...but, haha, apparently not. I just like it a lot. Light and mildly sweet, ambery, almost hints of creaminess and some florals. Cosy and warm. It would make a great candle scent. The imagery I get right now: Sunny fall morning, I am sitting in a bakery, sipping coffee with milk, cuddled in light brown fluffy sweater. (I probably have this image from the ad, hmm, well..) I have to wear the original more to determine which one I prefer, they are fairly similar.

Floral, powdery, woody, unique and cozy. This is an unusual designer perfume and I am really attracted to it. It’s a scent that I didn’t know I wanted until I smelled it. Also a great fragrance for retiring to bed because it has a relaxing & cozy vibe. I just discovered this and have only used it in cooler weather but I can see it also working in warmer climates with a light application. Lasts for multiple days on fabric. The composition almost feels 90’s vintage but made contemporary. I’m surprised this isn’t getting more attention. FYI, I am not a fan of the original Gorgeous, which is pleasant but not memorable. Super Gorgeous has hints of its predecessor but is much more interesting and impactful.

I want to gate keep This is what i expected shaghaf oud to smell like but failed miserably Yes it has that designer thing but this is sooooo good It’s very difficult to describe the scent as i have yet to find anything that smells like this It’s a deliciously warm, sweet, woody, aromatic, slightly spicy, comforting and also invigorating scent! So feminine but perfect for a fall day. I think it can be nice for spring and winter too, dare i say maybe even a summer evening. I’m thinking i may have to get a back up of this. We need more perfumes that have tobacco in them but smell feminine! This is the only one I’ve been able to find so far!

This perfume has everything I was looking for. Florality, balanced sweetness, woody, airy, beautiful. There is a similarity in its florality with Chloe love story, like this more intense woody version. Don't look for something very special. I think it is suitable for general taste. A fragrance I will always wear. The spread is very good.😍

Cotton, soft tobacco and warm skin. Understated and sensual. Reminds me of bedsheets. The name is super dumb. Sunset in a bottle. Dim rays of light coming through the curtains. Foreshadowing perfume. Liquid subtext. It's the moment in an embrace when your neck tilts. It smells like not trying. It's just right.

Very sexy.. I smell sweet amber and tobacco. 🥰 Not the disappointment that the OG was for me. MK made amends with this one imho.

Heavenly dry down -- Ok, today - I marched into a Michael Kors store and decided to do a side by side comparison of Michael Kors Signature, Gorgeous, Super Gorgeous, and Wanderlust - Throughout the entire performance of the perfume, I was immediately in love/like - with Michael Kors Signature. I really love the tuberose light and airy quality of this perfume. Gorgeous was more in my alto range - the perfumes that I typically am really drawn to. I loved the tobacco notes in the base of this chord, it was fabulous the first 20 minutes with a chemical interaction with the skin like dancing Tinker Bell notes. I loved the first 20 minutes of this - then it moved into a phase where it went a bit "stuffy" - like it was giving me allergies (almost). Then I had a lapse of time/space -where I didn't check in for a couple of hours - then enjoyed this glorious dry down phase where I could see that it was really a great blend with my chemistry. I really think that you should try these, side by side and determine which ones really set well with your individual chemistry. Super Gorgeous - is much softer in the beginning and through out -- however, this lasts longer on my skin than the Michael Kors Signature and ends with an intoxicatingly gorgeous chord. Wow... yeah - this perfume is definitely one to explore more. The dry down is much more impressive than the first 20 minutes of spray. I love how this blends with my chemistry in the final phase of wear. Love this. Wanderlust - started out like a hot mess... it was questionable, to say the least... not sure if I could really enjoy this - or not. But in the final phase, the dry down -- this really comes together and is quite nice. Wow. Surprisingly good, compared to the iffy beginning. This ends on a chord slightly higher (in the lower soprano range) than Gorgeous, and slighting lower than Super Gorgeous. Michael Kors Signature - I can see why this has been such a commercial success. This perfume is really lovely, any way that you break this down. This is stronger upon the first spray and ends on a whisper. It has less endurance than the other 3 that I sprayed today, but the notes in this are so classic and timeless. No wonder this has been such a huge commercial success! Who wouldn't LOVE THIS one? It is pretty fabulous, you must try it for yourself... and just see. Kim Kardashian honored Michael Kors by doing her own twist on Michal Kors Signature. They are both worth trying. Who knows - you may prefer one over the other - or you may like BOTH! They both have their own strong points. If you like one, you may like the other... they have a few similar fragrance notes --

This perfume has that sparkling quality when it is first sprayed where the chemicals dance above the skin almost like it is dancing... fizzing...sparkling -- similar to Tinker Bell waving a magic wand overhead. This perfume is akin to Michael Kors original signature fragrance, which is one of Kim Kardashian's favorite perfumes and was the inspiration for her signature Kim Kardashian perfume. It is also extremely close to Michael Kors Gorgeous (they share similar notes, only Super Gorgeous has more of a chemical lift to it with the dancing adehyde notes, sparkling on the skin like champagne). I recognize the advertising motif with the girl waving as she is in front of a NYC subway sign...it is classic "Charlie" perfume advertising -- posing the model in a similar style of walk to the Lauren Hutton advertising campaigns in the 1970's which launched the Revlon "Charlie" perfume (which became such an instant run-away best seller perfume brand). The name, "Super Gorgeous"... reminds me of perfume names such as "Beautiful" by Estee Lauder - and "Beauty" by Calvin Klein. I like a name that is easy to remember and something that translates well when someone asks the name of a perfume. It projects self confidence and is a name that would manifest a positive outcome -- (kind of like the Dream Boards that everyone creates for positive experiences to manifest in the future). Who wouldn't want to aspire to "Super Gorgeous"? Right...? Well - it is a nice thought, anyway... even if it at first feels a little out of reach! I'm going to have to hit the gym more and get more walks in to reach that desired outcome! LOL... But at least "Super Gorgeous" gives me a fabulous desired outcome! Something to aspire to, even if it is only in my dreams! But hey, when I drop that 45 extra pounds, this could be a great incentive for reaching that goal! Now, there you have it -- this is a reward of sorts! Ok, the bet is ON!

I stopped an attractive young women in public to tell me what fragrance she was wearing. Her scent bubble smelled so feminine, soft, cotton cozy, and submissively sexy!! It caught my attention, and this was the fragrance! To confirm, i went into the perfume store and tested, it was the same dna. Wow, this.is.sexy!! Like, im "turned on" kinda sexy! Fresh cotton linen + 1980's style aldehyde + White Tobacco Floral + Orange Blossom + touch of Orange sweetness + blended with the smallest touch of Myrrh + Ylang Ylang is one of the main notes + notes of Sandalwood and peppery Cedarwood + White Pepper & Citrus Bergamot on the top of your nose. Im getting modern day vibes like it's a fragrance that belongs within Victoria Secret's more serious perfume line, such as their 'Tease Creme Cloud ' perfume. So versatile, perfect for the office, sunday brunch, date night dinner, and the bedroom. An affordable perfume that's sooo sexy!! 4/5 Woofs!

Original review: The note list for Super Gorgeous! by Michael Kors looks very niche with amber, myrrh, tobacco, and ylang, plus some random woody and floral notes. This perfume could have been an amazing tropical floral with amber, but the ingredient quality is just so poor that it just falls apart on my skin after a couple of minutes. I feel like Super Gorgeous was formulated not only to save money, but also to smell wonderful on paper for a few minutes, just long enough to make a sale. Update: My taste in perfume has changed over the past few months and I am getting into "perfume-y" florals, especially with ylang ylang. I do like SG now because it feels like an almost unisex J'Adore flanker, but, I still stand by original assessment that this would be absolutely amazing if the ingredients were better.

I received a sample of this the other day. I love this scent but let’s be real, it kinda smells like something you’d get from Next or Avon for like £15. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but compared to the prices they’re putting out for this fragrance its a bit ‘ehh’. Anyways, on my skin it has a nice beachy vibe probably due to the creamy white florals and the amber. This scent is quite sensual and feminine, but gives a unisex vibe which I find interesting. And about the lasting power, it lasts around 11 hours+ which is obviously impressive, especially for a designer fragrance which most of the time last like 8 or 9 hours tops. Would I buy a full bottle? Possibly. It has potential and is a nice versatile scent to wear anywhere and everywhere.

For a designer house, this is pretty nice. I know this gets a lot of hate but it’s not bad at all. Tbhis reminds me of a 90’s floral but with a modern twist. The myrrh makes it interesting and wearable for this time of year. I get no fruit in this what’s so ever, just floral and amber on me. Longevity is pretty good and so is the sillage. It works 7/10

The opening is a bit too citrusy for my taste, but later it turns into a nice and soft white floral fragrance. I get a bit of amber and tobacco at the dry down, but it’s very soft. The powdery touch too. It’s a nice scent. Sensual and feminine, but i was expecting something stronger. Try it if you like creamy florals.

This fragrance makes me think: grown & glamorous. From the sleek bottle and amber color to the scent itself. A warm, well rounded floral with some edge to it. It's the only tobacco fragrance that has made it's way to my collection this far, however the tobacco isn't prominent so don't let that deter you!

The opening is sweet floral slightly bright and warm. I would describe the dry down as sweet spicy Oud, Cashmeran, type fragrance. I definitely get bergamot and vetiver notes as well. I get a pickle smell from this like I do with Decadence.

This is a nice rounded sweet scent that, for me dries down just a bit too sweet for it to be a serious contender. If you like warm, caramel sweet, happy smells you could do worse than try this, but it is not for me.

finally I got this beauty. 2021 batch. I am very happy with my purchase. very uplifting. apparently it is very refreshing because of myrrh note, which I love. 50 ml. better than noıthing!

so good. nothing like the previous one called "gorgeous". normally i do not like sweet scents but "super gorgeous" has me somehow and i couldn't stop smell myself

I love the name. I’m tired of seeing intense on everything. I got this last night and it’s super sexy great for a date night.

One thing I really like about this perfume, it’s its longevity. It stays on my skin for hours. Also the opening is a beautiful burst of flowers (ylang-ylang with jasmine) with warm amber notes. Unfortunately during the dry down, the wooden notes start to develop and take over, and my nose is particularly sensitive to artificial wooden notes (I can’t stand them).

This opens with a blast of strong floral. A few minutes in I smell the faint tobacco of unlit cigarettes, much different from a Tobacco Vanille or Rich, Warm Addictive. A fancy soap vibe creeps in. It mellows to a dry potpourri of cigarette tobacco, white floral and a hint of sweet cedar. Not for me, but there you go.

Very sharp opening, smells like a fragnance for men. After a few minutes it mellows into sweeter scent. It reminds me of Versace Crystal Noir. Interesting fact: There is a note that smells like dill to me, as well as many Versace scents (Eros, Yellow Diamond, Crystal Noir,). So I checked and I found out that Michael Kors, Versace (and Gimmy Choo) are all subsidiaries of Capri holding. So here comes the similarity from, they probably use the same ingredient.

From paper strip it smelled like Roberto Cavali Acqua. It has a beachy vibe. I get NO orange or orange blossom from it! If you want a similar scent but in a GORGEOUS bottle, get the Cavali. You WON'T be disappointed. Cavali was my only blind buy, specifically for the bottle. I had high hopes for it because of notes listed on here.

Starts out very reminiscent of Very Hollywood. Quite powerful but fun fruity and floral, gradually fades down into a more subtle tobacco earthy smell which I found quite unpleasant (more ashtray than dried leaves), the previous notes are lost under this and it lingers on into the next day,

How boring to be super gorgeaus....and I could hardly smell this. Must be anosmic to it cause my husband could smell it very well.

I strongly catch that "dill" scent. I notice a lot of scents I've tried over the last year have that "pickle" smell and I can't say I am a fan. I can definitely smell amber, sandalwood, and a little bit of tobacco. I would not call this a feminine scent by any means. I'm not sure it's exactly masculine, either, but I could see someone branding this "unisex." Certainly not what I would associate with "super gorgeous." To be honest I hate Michael Kors the brand, and thought that Wonderlust was the most disgusting perfume I ever smelled, so I am not surprised to say I do not like this at all. I cannot think of an occasion or scenario that would call for this total flop.

Usually I like Michael Kors scents but this one is a hard pass. Opens like a cheap citrus floral air freshener and dries down to a chemical, medicinal ambroxan. Five minute lifespan on the top notes and they're weak. Base/middle is ambroxan and it does what ambroxan does. It lasts and projects.

One of the worst perfumes ever!!! I like the original but this one is repulsive and very headache inducing.

I never liked the OG Gorgeous, it lacked personality to me. Super Gorgeous has that Wonderlust Sublime solar and metallic balsamic orange blossom-amber blend to it as well, but the sandalwood at first is like stale pencil shavings on me and the orange blossom as usual is slightly camphor-like on me the first few minutes. I find that this perfume performs better on me and that the sandalwood effect is subdued in the opening if I shake the bottle and then spray. I do like how waxy the orange blossom is and slightly balsamic and oriental by the sweet myrrh but indolic on its own - the opening has a 90s flair to it that's very attractive to me paired with the amber-myrrh here. The ylang ylang has a similar solar effect to orange blossom just as it has in BBW Tropidelic and it intensifies the metallic solar vibe here in the middle phase, however the jasmine is introducing a more pleasant white floral scent which paired with the amber-myrrh and the smooth, herbal sweet tobacco creates a comforting oriental floral impression. This perfume is not a must-have, but if you like solar resinous balsamic floral scents like Wonderlust Sublime and BBW Getaway Soiree, but you also like heavier woody sweet or smoky notes like tobacco and the smoky powdery orris you will appreciate its comforting warmth and allure. I have too many of these solar perfumes but I keep this because I love tobbaco and I also love orris. The whole scent is balsamic, metallic white floral, slightly solar with sharp, but creamy jasmine-amber, a little smoky at first due to the orris and earthy throughout. It instantly and gradually becomes smoother and somewhat herbal by the sweet tobacco and kinda nutty by the almondy tonka which intensifies the tobacco effect as tonka tends to mimic tobacco. The myrrh retains the comforting warmth here and intensifies the nutty effect of the tonka paired with the amber/orris as in Alien essence Absolue - as a Greek I LOVE myrrh. The olibanum adds a fresh green spicy touch almost peppery like patchouli in the middle phase but mainly at the drydown; it pairs well with the slightly green metallic essence of orange blossom, but it stays within the resinous balsamic theme along with the myrrh. The fresher slightly green olibanum spice gives a unisex quality. Olibanum is not a fav note to me being spicy aromatic see Rabanne's Fame and Devil's Advocate by Iggy, but I don't mind it here either since it's still a resin. The fragrance has a unisex feel at the drydown due to the olibanum-amber, just how Devil's Advocate is very unisex and it has both of these notes too, but Super Gorgeous is more feminine. The sandalwood is more subtle in the middle phase and drydown but keeps the scent fresh with the cedar, not too dry but not overly syrupy and they both contribute to the unisex feel along with the olibanum. I love the deep smoky powdery orris root prominent right away and in the middle phase, and it also adds to the waxy feel of the opening scent, but orris will repel most people that are not used to how earthy-smoky it is. No worries because the sweet tobacco-tonka powerful duo at the base, tones it down a bit so the orris isn't too dominant at the drydown, but I still smell its comforting rich earthy smokiness on my skin even after 2-3 hours. Orris always adds body to perfumes. The orange blossom-orris pairing here reminded me of Givenchy's Live Irresistible Delicieuse at first, but here the Morris is surrounded by lighter notes. I love orris root, but it's usually not a crowd pleaser. I also absolutely love myrrh - as in Alien Essence Absolue which also has orris -amber too - it gives a nutty impression, and I LOVE tobacco notes tobacco leaf - as in KKW Night Iris and especially in Police Potion Arsenic which has myrrh and tonka too. The sweet myrrh, the almondy tonka and the tobacco here being sweet and herbal like hay, as tobacco is, are reminiscent of Potion Arsenic, but they are different scents overall. The drydown is beautiful when all the notes blend together, it projects a deep woody and smooth vape-like sweet scent with a balsamic solar feminine floral aroma similar to that of Tropidelic or Wonderlust Sublime but alot less syrupy and not camphor-like as the latter, but equally metallic. I reach for it more than the others in this solar balsamic orange blossom ylang ylang genre due to the myrrh, orris and tobacco-tonka here.

Got a sample of this with beauty products I ordered. I always get excited to sniff new things, but alas, another disappointment. You know how people can get in a huff about pink perfumes, like the most recent Miss Dior reformulation (of which I also got a sample with my order)? Well I am about to have a huff about orange blossom and tuberose. It’s in everything. At this point I feel as far as designer frags go, you either go pink or you go Orange Blossom. Have a look at my fragrance wardrobe...it’s not the most exciting and even I am bored with this now. If only Niche wasn’t so effing expensive! Oh and ps. if you like YSL Libre then you will probably like this. They all smell the same to me at this point. Go Team Pink! 😉 Gosh to get so worked up, but if I smell another orange blossom I am going to scream! Seriously.

Something about this feels mysterious, cozy, and effortlessly cool. It smells unisex even though it’s marketed as a feminine fragrance. I would say it’s best for fall because it feels very warm. The tobacco and myrrh add a uniqueness to this fragrance. It’s very well-blended so I don’t feel like I can pick out every single note although I can definitely pick out the jasmine, tobacco, and wood. The longevity is amazing on me it lasts all day. Once I wore it and some of it got on my denim jacket then I went to wear the same jacket a week later and it still smelled like Super Gorgeous. I love this perfume and I personally haven’t smelled anything else like it.

I'm not sure if I am delusional or on the verge of losing my mind, but tried this in Boots (drugstore) yesterday and it immediately reminded me of the long discontinued "Love, Chloe" that I used to adore. I don't even think they share many notes, haven't checked to be honest. I haven't got much tobacco from this, just a sweet powdery floral, the best Michael Kors I tried so far (didn't like any of the others so the bar wasn't set particularly high). Will need to test it again, as I might just be losing it, lol!

Soft and bright burst of citrus. The floral notes peek out to make an appearance, then a sneaky exit. The light tobacco develops warmly onto the skin which rounds off creamily with the tonka for a rather woodsy drydown. I like it! To me, it leans a little unisex. It's office safe and a great entry point for tobacco fragrances. On sale right now at USA Macy's site 100ml for $52...I think it might be discontinued soonish? I have a full bottle and am glad to have it...is it back up bottle worthy? Time will tell.

Initially i get a burst of citrus mixed with resins and some creamy bright florals. I get a very complex vibe from the resins and tobacco and wood. It's not cloyingly sweet, which i love. This smells very mature to me. Resins, tobacco and florals with a smidge of citrus all resting on a bed of amber wood. If amber ain't your thing, give this a pass. I like this one a lot. I'd say it's almost unisex if not for the floral presence. More suitable for colder weather, i think.

I haven't smelled something this "classy" since the 90s. On first test I was teleported to the fancy department store days long past, the smell of the mature ladies fragrances on the counter and in the air. The times as a youth smelling the magazine sample strips and wishing I could buy the ones I liked. Super Gorgeous is this memory in a bottle for me. If you want that elegant 90s department store perfume counter scent this is it.

Smells like Balenciaga B. Skin and Marc Jacobs Perfect Intense had a beautiful baby! I actually disliked Perfect Intense but loved B. Skin and I think I like this fragrance even more. Do these three share any noses in common? It’s a very strong, yummy, woody Ylang-Ylang with some sort of greenness in the background and I pick up coconut just like I did in B. Skin. I was not expecting to like this so much. Va-va-voom come to Mama!

I too like the name. Some people need to lighten up, for pity sake. When did being good-looking become a crime? I can't believe women today are so insecure that their self assurance and self value go to pieces because someone compliments them on their looks. If this is feminism's great achievement, I consider it a humongeous flop.

As a man this smells incredible in my skin. Darker, richer and fuller than the original. The Amber and other resinous notes are incredible. This smells nutty and almost gourmand. This is definitely unisex with a slight feminine lean but easily shareable. A def keeper for winter and fall. A winner.

This smelled beautiful in the magazine ad, so I immediately pulled the trigger and bought the 3.4oz bottle. Upon receiving it and spraying it on my wrist all I can smell now is the original VO5 shampoo... Hate it. Getting returned.

Guys I am living for these reviews, most of us claim 'Super Gorgeous smells like zyx' but it's all completely different perfumes/scents (apart from Marc Jacobs Perfect Intense that was mentioned twice!) with not much in common lol!

To me it is a warm tropical fragrance. I smell coconut, amber and creamy flowers. It is almost identical to LVEB Soleil Cristal. Funny thing is that the bottle gives "drinks after work", whereas Soleil Cristal sings about summer.
