A fresher, more watery, and herbal version of Santal 33. It's not identical, but it's quite similar, so if you want to capture the same vibe without breaking the bank, give it a try. I managed to find it for $50 for 100 ml. However, I wouldn't recommend blind buying it, as longevity varies depending on skin chemistry. In colder weather, I couldn't detect it on my skin at all; it simply vanished immediately. I held onto what remained of my sample vial until the weather warmed up. Then, the performance improved on my skin compared to what others have reported here. I can still sense it five hours after application, though I need to press my nose against the skin to feel it. Appropriately named Bali, this fragrance evokes the "Love" part from Elizabeth Gilbert's "Eat, Pray, Love" book and movie. It transports me to a place filled with warm and humid air, a tropical hut, relaxed summer attire, and the sensation of touching your lover's sun-kissed skin. The ultimate vacation.

Dry , yet slightly creamy sandalwood , subtle suede and just a hint of sweetness from the elemi and very subtle prickle from the cardamom. I don’t detect the florals or bergamot. Super light wearing , excellent for workplace and high heat. Can’t speak on longevity yet

The scent is great but performance is lacking

I suppose I’ll be first to review this fragrance. I got this from the Bliss Discovery set off of the Michael Malul website. I don’t want to say I don’t like the fragrance I just don’t think it’s anything to write home about? It’s soft, I’m mostly picking up the resin and suede with a dash of spice. It’s not a bad perfume at all. Just not what I usually go for and so far the projection and lasting power haven’t been the best and at $110 I just can’t justify when I have $10 scents that last all day. I will continue to try it out though and update if there is a change. 5/10 😕

If you like Le Labo Santal 33, then you'll like this one. They are very similar scent profiles. As others have mentioned, the performance is not great on this one, but it's also a cheaper version of Le Labo, so it might be worth trying it if price is an issue. It appears that Michael Malul London often offers sitewide discounts on their fragrances, so wait until you see a sale. They also gave me a 25% discount code when I purchased one of their discovery sets, so that's a plus for people looking for this brand to be a bit more inexpensive.
